Unfortunately we did not have the best stay here. We stayed for 2 nights and were \"upgraded\" to some kinda suite. There is no central AC, we were left with 2 low powered AC units in the middle of summer. It was so uncomfortable to sleep. We asked for a fan that is how uncomfortable it was. The property is pretty outdated, you had to use a phone to call and get any kinda service by the pool. The location is super unique and perched on top of a hill which gives you the most beautiful views of the water but its definitely worth the day trip but not worth the stay in my opinion. The restaurants are also super overrated. Maybe it will be different when they go through the remodel.

We had a fabulous time at the Chateau De La Chèvre D ‘Or. We had a beautiful, luxurious room which overlooked the Mediterranean coastline to one side and beautiful hills on the other. The staff were very welcoming and assisted us with any inquiries we had concerning the area. Highly recommend, we hope to return one day. ❤️❤️

The property has a breathtaking view, beautiful gardens, and a spacious, comfortable, very clean room. The staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful. I recommend comfortable walking shoes for the cobblestones. The hotel is pricey, but worth the splurge. I recommend breakfast outside the hotel due to the price. We really loved our stay in Eze. Don’t miss the Exotic Garden!

This is a stunning property and hotel however the service and staff were incredibly disappointing.

My husband and I stayed for an evening during our honeymoon. We asked for a restaurant recommendation in a specific area and were sent in the complete opposite direction and the place was closed. We also came back later in the evening and there were no signs anywhere to find our room and no staff available.

The hotel is beautifully built like a labarynth but it took us an hour to find our room because someone had closed the door to the corridor where it was located so it was almost impossible to find.

We shared our troubles in the morning and the concierge said nothing and did nothing to make our stay more enjoyable. Again, beautiful spot but I would recommend looking elsewhere for the price and if you want proper service. Super disappointing!

Oh dear!

The food was terrible and overpriced even for the Cote d’Azur. The accommodations extremely dated. I had not stayed there for 25 years and the rooms have not changed.
The staff did their very best but they are not organized at all.
They also appear rely on day trippers taking photographs and there is zero dress code a great shame for what used to be an icon.

The views are spectacular and there is something special about being in Eze without all the crowds. The staff was lovely and restaurant sublime. The pools were much smaller (and colder!) than I imagined and the pool restroom needed some attention. An iconic property to visit once in a lifetime for a night or two.

It is disappointing that the room service menu is very poor and not updated to reflect what is actually available and especially what is available from 10pm, which is more like what you get in a 3 star hotel. This is in stark contrast to what they offer in the restaurants at the same time ( one of them has 2 Michelin Stars). They knew I was gluten free but there was nothing appetising to eat on the menus or at breakfast. Room service brought normal bread each time even when they knew. The larger expensive suites are probably not occupied a lot as there is a stale water smell in the bathroom. The one you get when pipes are not run enough. The showers were not hot either. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told here was nobody available and they had gone home...I had to email the CEO and even then nothing was resolved I was just told he would talk to me in the morning (when I will have likely left) . I would say a perfect dreamy place to stay in a normal room or basic suite so long as you don't expect too much food veriety on the room service menu and enjoy the restaurants instead. The mini bar is lacking in typical drinks and snacks you would expect in a top end 5 star hotel and they should leave more water in the suite each day. The massage treatments we had were great although we had to walk through a busy restaurant to go to and from the treatment rooms which is not ideal.

What did we like? Everything! This was our third trip to Èze, but the first time we allowed ourselves the time to soak it in. The Chèvre d’Or is magical. The accommodations were lovely and so different- unlike many places with cookie-cutter rooms. The views were beyond compare. The staff met our every need in multiple languages. We enjoyed the pools, the terrace breakfast, the village, the shops, the art, the views from every corner as our family explored the magical village and gardens. One family member whispered “I didn’t know places like this exist.” I imagine not many do. Château de la Chèvre d’Or was a dream. Already planning to return.

This isn’t really a 5-star hotel — it’s a glorified and overhyped Airbnb. The only thing Chevre D’Or has going for it is the views of the ocean which are undoubtedly great. However, tour groups and tourists can freely enter and exit the entire hotel, which cheapens the experience and disrupts hotel guests. Most shockingly, as we were leaving the hotel one day, we literally heard a tour guide tell his group: “this is Chateau De La Chevre D’Or. The hotel of the golden goat. When we go tour the inside of the hotel, you will see why it’s called that.” It was shocking that the hotel would allow this and still charge top dollar to its guests. At night time, influencers and tourists throughout the hotel create significant noise, disrupting the sleep of hotel guests. There is a main walkway next to which the rooms are located, and your room can be within 5-10 feet of hordes of tourists. Beyond the noise concerns, this creates obvious safety issues as well. I would not recommend that anyone looking for a luxury experience stay here — instead look for a better run hotel that is equally scenic. I haven’t stayed at them but in hindsight we regret not exploring Cap Estel, Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat, or Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc. Lastly, the staff is very unattentive, uncooperative, and generally lacking in hospitality versus what you would expect from such an establishment.

room was nice and the view was beautiful but the room was upstairs and the bathroom 13 steps down! Very inconvenient, my husband has mobility problems. Our room was accessible from an ally which is part of the medieval village and it didn't feel like a resort. Other rooms have access from the resort only. The food is expensive but the view from the restaurant is outstanding, hard to imagine!

Loved the views and the beauty of the property.
However we thought the restaurants had limited options and the non Michelin star restaurant was way over priced for the quality of the food. No place to get reasonable appetizers.
Our room was a poor location above the breakfast patio and the music that was piped in through the area was loud until 11 am
Staff was great as was breakfast.
We would not return however and or recommend the hotel.

I am not easily wowed but this spectacular hotel was top notch in every regard. Everything about it - everything - was absolutely perfect. Whatever your expectations are, the Chèvre d’Or will surpass them. The suites are scattered throughout the village. Each is unique and ours had some really neat features including a see through floor and a wonderful garden-mountain-sea-view balcony. The hotel gardens, on multiple levels carved into the mountain side were full of delightful discoveries. The pools and amenities were lovely. The food nop notch. We didn’t have enough time to experience all this hotel offers - strongly recommend at least 2-3 nights.

The property setting is truly unique on the side of a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea built into the side of a charming medieval village. A great concept that Walt Disney offered some input and inspiration to.
The number of stairs one must climb is an unfortunate necessity but great exercise.
Being 15 minutes from Monte Carlo is a huge plus!
We plan to visit again next year.

This is a hotel experience unlike any other. The “hotel” consists of individually accessed luxury rooms, each with unique features, scattered over the hillside, with stunning views of the sea and surrounding hills. My favorite feature was the infinity pool overlooking the Mediterranean. The village of Eze is delightful, though painfully crowded during the day. The hotel provided parking for 15 Euros a day, Valet parking is mandatory due to the limited space in the tiny village. Highly recommend this hotel.

The most charming spot on the Riviera - we had a small balcony with a breathtaking view.
We spent 3 weeks in France and this hotel was the highlight of our entire trip.
We had an 8 course meal in their fine dining restaurant - it was very expensive but a very labour intensive menu.

Very bad service , no one come to check the guests at the pool , no offering of drinks , nothing.
Car valet is a big mess, the kids driving luxury cars and they scratched our mercedes ( deep scratch ).
We asked the car few times no communication between the Concierge to the valet.
When we checked we waited 30mins until baggage comes. After first night the room service forgot to put us shampoo in room and it was really too much too many mistakes.
The director of the hotel was very kind and saw our frustration and send us champagne, thanks for that but we just ask for basic. They must hire more staff and more professional staff.
The rooms interoir design can have improvement.
Room service also need improvement we order pasta but there is no taste.
We wish to come back to the hotel and really have 5 stars hotel.

Magnifique hotel, vue incroyable. Tres bien situe pour une visite d'Eze, du jardin exotique et du musee Fragonard. Nous avons eu la chance d'etre surclasses dans une tres grande chambre vue mer. Le personnel est tres attentif et professionnel, surtout l'equipe de reception et les voituriers. Seul bemol a ce magnifique etablissement: peu de transats et service inexistant si on souhaite consommer a la piscine. Globalement un tres bel etablissement Relais & Chateaux a recommander pour les amoureux de la Cote d'Azur.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting.

That's where the positives end.

The service leaves much to be desired. For starts, the wi-fi in our room didn't work. The signal was too weak. The AC was located on the bottom floor, when it should have been placed in the bedroom. As a result, the bedroom was quite uncomfortable to sleep at night. The gym is laughable--there are a few treadmills and one wire-based strength equipment, but nothing else.

The service at most restaurants was exceedingly slow. We walked into one restaurant and watched as the waiters cleaned other tables, sorted silverware, and took a good 10 minutes to even get us a menu.

On one occasion, the cleaning staff left the door to our room open--not just unlocked, but open. Anyone could have walked in and stolen something.

I think the hotel management relies too much on the reputation and setting of the hotel, and not enough in making sure the guests have a pleasant stay.
