We were in Monaco for 2 nights and this hotel was perfect! It was clean and roomy and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the train station and more importantly close to the elevators that go down to the marina and the escalators that go to the train station. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Know before you go

We had a suite (really tiny) with a kitchen. You have to pay for coffee pods to use in your kitchen that has a coffee machine (€7). They charge you €3 for a cup of coffee downstairs and water is €2 per bottle. There was no shampoo in the bathroom. You have to take out your own trash and put everything away before you leave. I didn’t know about any of this. Some of the staff were not friendly. I will look for a different place next time.

If you are going to stay in Monaco with family I would recommend this hotel as the room is huge and has kitchenette. To walk to main area of the casino is about 8 minutes. Considering the area vs price is great. You can call Uber in this area as it really is Beausoleil but if you are in Monaco you need to call taxi to go to the hotel or you can walk. Area is safe and has elevator in front of hotel to go down the street.
Bathroom was big and everything look ok! Not Wao design but it was pleasant.
The only thing I did not like was the tile flooring as it looked outdated yet clean and well maintained.

It is up on the hill but there are escalators to each level so not a problem. Steps also if preferred.

We stayed in a one bed apartment.
Nice and spacious.
Lots of extra bed linen available.
One single pull out and a double pull out in the living area and then a double bed in the bedroom.
Not the most comfortable beds but adequate for a short stay.
Excellent location, short walk 10 minute walk to train station or casino. 20 minute walk to beach.
Very nice staff at the front desk.
Would recommend for a family wanting to explore the area.

Negatives: Dont believe the pictures. The room we received was basically in an alley not even connected to the hotel. The refrigerator didnt work, the hand held shower head wouldnt stay up, and the AC was worthless in the main living area. Rude front night staff when we tried to address the issue. And no ice maker on property!?

Cheap parking at just €15 per night underneath the hotel too.

Well placed fully equipped hotel

We stayed for one night apartment was clean and had all equipment needed. It is walking distance from all key places in Monaco. Two weak points: room was ready really late (after 5pm) and there are strange regulations at leave like dispose trash outside of the building. It seems nobody did except us, but it was given as information at the check-in.

Comfortable, quiet but beware the 2nd building

The Aparthotel is a good choice for staying in Monaco. The reception staff are friendly and welcoming. Our apartment was comfortable and spotless, and the kitchen well-equipped. There is no kettle so you have to boil water in cups in the microwave or use the coffee pod machine (but the pods are expensive).
Plenty of nice towels (not the biggest but good quality). Clean tea towel and dish cloth supplied plus dishwasher tabs and washing-up liquid. Plenty of loo rolls.
There is an excellent supermarket nearby: Carrefour City which is under an apartment building at the junction of the Rue Des Genets and Ave Ste Cecile (Google Maps positions is slightly incorrectly)
Monaco Station is about 5 mins away thanks to 2 new-ish public lifts which don't show well on Street View (walk up the hill away from the station and just around the corner on the left is a sign for a lift to the Maison Diocesaine and when you get to the top, directly across the road is another lift which will place you 200m from the hotel which you get to by turning left)
Use the lifts/escalators in the station to get all the way down to the harbour.
Now a warning - the Aparthotel has >2< buildings. The second one is up a steepish hill behind the main building about 200m away. Its approach and access is totally unsuited to anyone with any kind of mobility problem, with steep right-angled steps to the entry door. Check when you book if this might be a problem. Accommodation inside is quiet and excellent though.

The a/c did not work in the bedroom and was not able to be fixed as all had gone home for the day...Got sheets and made up the soa and trundle beds in the kitchenette area as that one wotked well.No coffee packs for the pot...Taxies are had to get as they don't like to come up to the top as it's too short a distance...

Terrible communication

Walked 30 mins with luggage to hotel I booked and had the confirmation the day before and it was shut down. Wasn’t even open. Then after 30 more mins of waiting I was told to walk another 15 mins with all my luggage to their partner hotel. After I arrived I told them I paid already in full for the other hotel and they said no and fully charged me for the nights stay on top of it. Complete mess

The 2 receptionist that we have met were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well prepared the location was perfect. The only thing was you had to pay for the car park which we didnt know about, when i checked their own website it had said car park available. Other than that everything was really nice. Many thanks

Card key door opener is conveinent and keep the card for access anytime close to the Monte-Carlo train station about five minutes but you must use two elevators to get to Aparthotel Adagio because there two levels, staff friendly and clean

no hot water, the bed was a painful sofa bed, the air conditioner was louder than I knew one could be and the apartment had windows the street could see into. I get it's meant to be a cheap alternative to staying in Monaco, but 100 Euros isn't cheap enough to justify all of this

The hotel is in poor condition. The rooms don't even have normal beds. They have a couch that folds out for sleeping. Obviously, springs and cushions are terrible on bends of this kind.

The hotel does not change towels daily unless you pay a Euro 6 fee. That's a fee to change towels. How many hotels in the world charge a fee to change dirty towels. It speaks about the sanitary condition of everything else the hotel does. Also, the fee is not mentioned when booking the hotel.

Spacious room with great location to train station

The hotel was very accommodating. We needed to contact our tour by phone to confirm our intentions. I emailed the hotel & they took care of it for us. I also inquired in the email about a very early check in. They were kind enough to allow it. The staff was excellent. Our room was spacious & included a balcony. We’d definitely stay at this location again.

The Aparthotel Adagio Hotel Monaco, Monte Cristo

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, although I was quite shocked at how small the apartment was. I have just looked at the website and have only now - figured out what happened. I booked the 42 sq metre room that slept 4/5 people and was given the 24 sq metre room that sleeps only 4 people. When I booked - there was meant to be a double bed, a sofa bed and a trundle bed. Our apartment had only a double bed and a 1 sofa bed. There were only 4 of us staying, but I wanted everyone to have separate beds. I complained about the size of the room to a lady working at reception and she just smiled at me and nodded. She told me that the hotel was booked out, so we couldn't even book an extra room.The apartment was so small that we had hardly any room each side of the bed and had to put our cases in the hallway and squeeze past them to exit the apartment. We were also told on arrival that we would have to pay an extra 33 Euro to have the room cleaned daily. We decided not to do this as there wasn't any room for anyone to come in and clean, but to our surprise they did clean once during our 4 night stay. As far as maintenance goes - on arrival - The shower head had come away from the shower hose, the hallway light didn't work and our bedhead had dropped off of the wall. These problems were rectified quickly, but should have been repaired before we arrived. On a positive note - the hotel was only 13 minutes walk from the Port and a short walk to the Train Station.

Great location provided you don't mind a climb

Good location to see the sights of Monaco. Less than 10 minute walk down to Casino Square and about the same to the harbour using the elevators near the Station. If climbing up and down stairs / hills are a challenge this could be an issue. Staff very efficient and helpful. We were in an apartment for four. Fine for a couple but I would suggest a bit cramped for four. Well equipped apartment although I found the separate toilet / shower room and bath / bidet / why a bit strange. Bed was very firm and not very comfortable.

Falsely Advertised

This Hotel was not as advertised. The advertisement stated that the room had 2 double beds when in fact it had 2 very narrow single beds and a sofa bed. The two single beds where pushed up against each other and would slide apart in the middle of the night if one of us got stuck in the crack between the beds.When I spoke to the clerk about the room not being as advertised she stated to me that all of the rooms were like that. Does this hotel know the difference between a sofa bed and a double bed and 2 single beds vs. a double bed? I think so.

10 mins from Monaco train stn but noisy street.

10-15 mins from the train station up the hill which is easily to reach by elevator and a flight of stairs and a short walk.
Check in was quick and they upgraded my room and I stayed in another building 1 street behind.
Nice big 1 bedroom apartment with 2 showers, however the rooms are not insulated and the cars and motorbikes are extremely noisy coming up the hill and driving along the street. Need earlplugs to sleep during the day, however at night the traffic dies down. Otherwise it lived up to my expectations

Very nice hotel in a good location

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. It was in a quiet street very close to the train station.
My studio was clean and with a modern design.
However, the directions to the hotel didn't say that there is a steep stairwell so you'll have problems getting to the hotel with a heavy suitcase. Also, the sofa bed was a bit squeaky. The breakfast was very good-great selection of meats, cheeses and bread.The staff was polite and helpful.

Nice quiet hotel in good location

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is handy-close to the train station. However, it was very difficult to access its street with a heavy suitcase as there was a long flight of stairs and no public lift. However, a helpful local showed me a longer way without stairs. Also, my sofa bed was squeaky and no daily cleaning. Other than that I enjoyed my stay and got a quiet sleep. Breakfast was good-quality meats, cheeses, juices and cereal.

Good value apartmen hotel, close to Gare de Monaco

Pros:
1. Superb services at the front desk 24 hours
2. Spacious rooms
3. Decent value for the rate

Cons:
1. Location-wise, It was somewhat remote from other tourist areas and got pretty dark early in the evening it took sometime for us to get used to the area and directions to/from the hotel.
2. Sofa / trundle beds were not comfy at all. (Even worse than most of sofa/trundle beds I've slept on before)
3. Although the unit was spacious, the toilet was strangely in a separate room outside the bathroom, and had strong unpleasant odor of cheap citrus detergent.

Great Location

We were in Monaco for a film festival and the hotel was a great location for what we needed. Yes, it is on a slight hill but then so is most of Monaco! Staff were polite and helpful - rooms were great. Breakfast was nice too - only problem was we only got up once for it during our whole stay...
