we really enjoyed our stay at the resort. The Apartment style rooms with sitting and dining areas separate to the bedroom was exactly as hoped.

The staff we spoke to were extremely friendly, helpful but largely apologetic, there just didn't seem to be enough of them. We stayed over Easter weekend and all services had been stripped back. Combining the two rooms we had, the bed was made up just once in eight nights and the resort ran out of pool (and other towels) on easter Monday, this led to us having to use and launder the bathroom towels provided in the room ourselves. Not a good look and completely avoidable. Unless the issue of fully staffing the property during public holidays is addressed, I would not stay here during those periods.

The 1st time our room was meant to be cleaned it wasnt and we got left with 2 shower towels when there were 4 guests.
There was mould/scum in the shower and bathroom sink. The floor was never swept there were crumbs everywhere. The bathroom bin bag was left in our kitchen on the floor. The only place to eat in the resort was closed from nov to april... which is ridiculous when you have guests. Apart from the reception staff no other staff says hello

We loved Oaks Cable beach. It’s a large property but it feels like you’ve been transported to a tropical oasis. Rooms are comfortable, modern & spacious - loved the sun loungers on the balcony. Pool area is fab & breakfast buffet was simple but with all the usual suspects - great value for money. Easy walk to cable beach, bars & dining & if you’re game, there’s a motorised scooter parking station right out front !!

After working for months on a hot & dusty cattle station the crew decided to have an end of year celebration in Broome. I had not visited Broome previously. I booked a at least a month out of arriving and found once I arrived that the main pool was having maintenance for most of October. I'm very annoyed that this was not conveyed to me, so I had the choice to cancel and re book elsewhere so as I could enjoy swimming.

Overall good but needs a refresh.

Stayed here 1 year ago for 3 nights, this time 9 nights. Bit of a muck up when checking in as overcharged us a large amount but got it sorted, but not like they were bending over backwards to sort it out. Room generally OK, Had kitchen, full size fridge freezer, oven, dishwasher, microwave plus crockery cutlery. No coffee maker but bought our own with us. Saggy couch, bed ok, room servicing a bit random, air con in lounge & main bedroom ok, 2nd bedroom air con just remains on freezing cold, needs a service technician. Bathroom toilet laundry all in one room. Washing machine ok, but dryer when it gets to end of cycle just goes to next cycle & keeps going. A guest not realising this may end up burning the place down. If Breakfast is included they are nothing special in fact by hotel standard very low quality. Bar has happy hour but quality of cocktails random, one night a great margarita, the next night worst one I ever had. Never had dinner there. Pool area really nice & clean water, although sides of pool need a good scrub. Not a great effort in keeping leaves etc raked up in the gardens. Was a hassle get an extra pool entry card. It’s 1.3km walk to beach but with beach redevelopment more like 1.7km. Local bus stops right outside service every 30 mins. If you need a Taxi, book in advance.. no Uber.
Place needs a bit of a tidy up in the room, a plumber for less than half a day would sort the wonkey kitchen tap etc.
No a bad place to stay, but they could do better.

We had to stay overnight because of a cancelled flight to Perth. We wanted to get some groceries for the night. We were looking to walk or bus to the nearest store when one of the receptionists offered to take us herself as she was going to pick up her lunch. Amazing service and consideration.
The resort was fine, just quite a long walk to Cable Beach (20 mins) and no shops close by.

The unit was grubby, with broken furniture, dirty windows, and floors. I was so surprised that I took photographs. No room cleaning on a public holiday - excuse being to give guest privacy despite there being ‘do not disturb’ door hangers. (Not wanting to pay staff penalty rates perhaps)

Arrived during the tail end of a cyclone and spent 3 days in lockdown. Disappointed that the restaurant was closed until April (pretty sure this was not made clear when booking) and the lack of nearby alternatives, even snacks from reception, was disappointing. Standard of hotel and room is also barely a 3 star (this may be an Aussie issue, we’ve lived and travelled in Australia and a 4 star rating does not equate to what would be expected of an equivalent 4 star in other countries), with tired bathroom and towels supplied were quite threadbare. Given the basic kitchenette, with no restaurant eating proper meals was not an option.

We had an incredible time here. We stayed during wet season, so it wasnt very busy and we got to enjoy some fantastic storms from our deck. The property is very clean and the staff were very friendly. The pool is huge and the property is very well maintained. So many beautiful birds and tropical plants all around you. Our unit was fullly equipped with everything we could want. Cable beach is a short drive away. We were greeted with a hand written card waiting for us in our unit. We will definetley be back again.

A lovely property apartment had plenty of room with all key amenities although lacking mirrors only one on the bathroom. Provision for recycling bin in room would be ideal. Pools were nice but sides could do with some cleaning. All staff very friendly. Well located easy walk to Cable Beach. Def recommend a visit to Millies Cafe in caravan park, Sunrise car rental around the corner, sunset drinks at surf life saving club.

Waited 15 minutes at reception to check in, no one was at the desk. Tried to book a roll away bed on the phone twice with no luck, arrived with no roll out bed and had to see reception two times to get the bed, it didn't arrive until after 6pm.

Love the property and rooms are great. They’re roomy, have kitchenettes, laundries and balconies. They do need to kill and clean the mould in the showers though. Towels could be washed better as ‘clean’ ones can smell from previous use.
Disappointed they mixed up our room reservation but they did rectify it so that was good. Also cafe/bar doesn’t open until lunch some days so that’s a nuisance if you want coffee by the pool. Otherwise great location and pool area is amazing. I’d definitely book there again.

Great property, a few info updates needed and care

Stayed in a one bedroom apartment. Was spacious and perfect for our family of 3. Property grounds were beautiful.
A lot of there information on the property that they supplied through a QR code we’re out of date and they had known it was out of date - so I feel phone calls with reception to clarifying things.
Advertised that Netflix was an option on the tv. But the wifi would not connect to the tv and after several attempts of contacting reception and finally they sent maintenance person to fix - they advised us it couldn’t be fixed and for us to hotspot from our own devices. This was disappointing as they seemed to brush the issue off and weren’t helpful with an outcome - more disappointing because they advertised and it was one of the reasons we choose to stay there.
Would stay again but hopefully the receive this feedback and rectify these issues.

Great location for our holiday in Broome. We had a 3 bedroom apartment which was well laid out and convenient with a kitchen, washing machine and dryer. The only negative of the stay was that the pools are freezing cold - too cold for our young kids to enjoy swimming in them! This unfortunately would deter us from staying here again, which is a shame as it is otherwise great.

The property is not well maintained, the swimming pols have a wide scum mark right around both pools, who knows when they were last cleaned. I stayed in a studio. My shower recess was covered in mould with old (who knows how old?) water in the window frames with accompanying insects. The floor rug was so dirty I wouldn't stand on it with bare feet. My son had an apartment which was cleaner however the kitchen lacked equipment including knives. He was moved to a second apartment with a door lock that didn't lock. It would be a great place if well maintained.
