Food ok, bed comfortable, but that is the best we could say about our stay.
We had a superior room at $409 a night, and it was like a cave with a view of the swimming pool, there was nothing supplied apart from tea or coffee, a basic motel has better room facilities .
We were kept awake for three nights, Thur, Fri and Sat, by bands from hell, we wondered how much they were paying the hotel for playing there.
The advertisements for the hotel were nothing like what you get, the room was a bitter disappointment, and the fees and taxes are not included in advertised price.
Our room wasn’t even secure when we got there, the door locks were just about to fall off and the security chain was not attached to anything.
All in all a bitter disappointment.

Checkin was okay but room was in dire need of a Renovation and the shower was disgustingly full of mould and fans covered in dust. I tried to move rooms but was told I couldn’t. A deep clean was promised but never happened, in fact the room service left me short of towels which I then had to follow up. Verandahs and grounds grubby with rubbish laying around. At $350 a night a complete rip off.

Pick up from the airport was a plus. Room was quiet and clean but tired looking. No hanging space except for the towel holder over the door. The bed was comfortable but very wobbly - if one person rolled over it was like sleeping on jelly.

You get what you pay for. I've stayed in smaller rooms. The room could accommodate 3 comfortably but the rooms are rather tired. The room was clean, tidy and safe, with a locked courtyard. There were a lot of mosquitoes but this was a function of recent rains.

What I did mind was the cursing after 10pm walking backwards and forwards past my room.

The place was ok. Very clean but no hanging space for clothes, broken pieces in bathroom, vehicle parked in a low security area meant vehicle had to be emptied out completely. BBQ area not really inviting.

Very clean but a bit out dated. Weirdly sexualised advertising in promotional materials with with t-shirt competitions, bikini clad waitresses etc. very dated approach to gender equality. We didn’t use hotel restaurant or bars for that reason, but room was clean and bed was super comfortable. Lots of noise on Saturday nights with music thumping but we didn’t mind. Great pool.

Swimming pool great to do laps in. Staff were helpful and meals at a reasonable price and enjoyable. Close proximity to shops and parking. Had no trouble accessing laundry facilities. Two nights had disturbed sleep with next door occupants drinking alcohol outside our door and one Thursday night with the Wet T Shirt function at the hotel which went very late and the noise echoed through walls of our unit. The desk and side table were made of chip board and peeling off; basin tap leaked and shower was hard to adjust at even temperature.

One night stay horror

Booked this hotel for one night due to flight changes & the fact that we couldn't get an earlier night at the hotel where we were booked. Staff were pleasant but the accommodation was below standard. The furniture was minimal & would have been rejected by the Salvation Army. The fridge wasn't clean. The toilet had a green rim around it from the toilet freshener. The floor of the shower was also mucky. For $200 a night I certainly expected more.

Great location close to shops and restaurants.The staff were friendly.The entrance to our room was so dirty and lots of cigarette butts never been cleaned.Can’t opened the only window because of the cigarettes odour.The curtain was off the hook and never fixed.The chairs were discusting to sit on.The room was run down.The toilet bowl is full of stains.Don’t recommend this hotel to any one.

As we spent all our waking time either eating at restaurants around corner , some with live free music , put door cinema etc Pool looked great but no time for a dip , too busy , Personslly think enough money has come into the Roebuck to give it a make over . Old and worn fittings and furniture. In desperate need of decoration. Verander to room dirty, full of cigarette butts and rubbish.
Spend some money and make the place attractive or leave as is and welcome the hobo’s in. Cleaning staff must have just serviced room prior to my arrival as floor still had puddles of water. Door must have been left open as room was thick with mosquitoes. The cockroach did not add to the ambience.

I do like the Roey. it is within easy walking distance to the town of Broome . cable beach which has to be visited is 4km away. so much is on offer in Broome and the Roey is central to all.staff are always helpful and management listen and will help where they can. as I have said , I do like the Roey and I'm sure you will too.

I have been staying at the Roey on average 4-6 times a yr for a of minimum two nights each time since 2014. it is beautifully conveniently placed hotel central to all one could wish for their Broome Experience. However it has grown tired and in its rooms tardiness and customer service.? The cleanliness of the bathrooms has slipped considerably. ie : around all sink faucets in every room I have stayed in they have not been unscrewed for yrs & the GRIME is very noticeable! all being the accommodation is adequate it too needs could do with some loving attention. Having only one of the Pool GATES OPEN? may be convenient for staff but is unnecessarily inconvenient for top end Quests . the closure of the pool at night is also a unnecessary inconvenience?. in the heat of Broome I & other quests like to swim either late into the night and early morning. There has never been to my knowledge or experience of the party shenanigans of The Roey . indeed one is fortunate these days to even see more than 3/4 other Poolside quests? in it's heydays.unlike it advertising there is always plenty of rooms for rent in the Pools accommodation area. and over the years at all times of the week there has always been plenty of empty rooms .I truly like staying at the Roey.. yet though my comments may be seen as down grading they are only meant to remind the owners! quests still expect the cleanliness and pool experiences to cater for their convenience which could be greatly improved.

Hotel staff were delightful, I couldn't say the same for the room. Old and outdated, needs a lot of work to bring it up to scratch. Most disappointing was the bathroom - shower head was rusted and dirty, same for the towel rail. Air conditioner was filthy with a layer of dust inside and the front grill falling off, very loud too. Bed was ok. The owners need to spend a bit to bring this baby back to life.

Very disappointing. A very noisy room that had mould on the wall in the bathroom obviously because the exhaust fan doesn't work and the shower floor felt slimy under foot. Some people might have said they are going for the rustic look but realistically the couple of sticks of furniture need to go to the tip. Minimal security, nowhere to put your suitcase but on the floor, no wardrobe to hang any clothing and the pillows on the bed had plastic protectors so wake up with a sweaty head!
For the money I paid I could have stayed in a 4star room anywhere else in Australia but Broome which I will do as won't be going back!

ordered dinner in the restaurant, very disappointing, worst chicken parmigana ever, $3 chicken patty with sauce and melted cheese, served with a few pieces of lukewarm broccoli & carrot, and overcooked oily chips, shocking value for $25!!.
My friend ordered chicken schnitzel and only received 3 pieces of brocolli with his meat, nothing else on his plate, when a meal is advertised with vegies you expect better!!.

Everything was fine excellent until I realised I had left my apple I phone 6 charger plug there in the room. I called the hotel the very next day to tell hem the receptionist said yes the housekeeping staff had found it and that they would send it on to me I was very happy because this phone was only one week old I had worked hard to save for it and decided I could only afford the iPhone 6 instead of the later model I phone 7 though I was very happy with it and was particularly delighted it had a bright blue light shining when plugged in and charging inside the plug itself ,well I waited for 5 working days as I had only moved to Derby not far from Broome then I phone reception again they said the mail was leaving that day so I was happy with that I received it the following week 2 working days after I called the plug looked the same though when plugged in there was no bright blue light I believe it has been swapped or mixed up with another plug I rang reception again and spoke to another nice lady she assured me she would get onto it and I patiently waited and waited and she never got back in touch with me I now have returned to the East coast they have my email all I wanted was an explanation of how my plug became mixed up and maybe have the correct one returned to me I just want them to know ime not stupid I know what I had I asked my husband and my son they both confirmed my plug had the blue light so sorry I have to report this but something went wrong here at the hotel.

The Roey is straight dealing good value for money against the tourist priced alternatives in town. Benefits are being in heart of Chinatown, and with the pub Bistro at hand for excellent quality and value meals. The swimming pool area very nice is a real plus and a surprise for pub accommodation ... but necessary in the climate.
Saturday night the musical entertainment in the pub didn't abate until 12:45am ... which is probably great if you are listening to it and bad if you are trying to sleep. Saturday was the only noisy night.
The noise and vibration of the security gate crashing shut is a real problem and needs to be taken seriously and sorted ... until it silently \"clicks\" shut. The automatic closer needs adjusting to control the close rate of the gate, and the frame of gate needs modification so it doesn't have steel crashing against steel ... nylon contact dampers ?
Suggest spend some money and fix it properly.

Not a great place to relax.

Cheap and okay for travelers but not okay for a family. Dubious security with sliding glass doors with only a simple latch. The chain was broken on one of our rooms. We rented two connecting rooms but the staff were unable to locate a key for the connecting door, stating 'they have had problems in the past'. There is an old security gate that is closed at night. Every time someone goes through it slams shut and the hotel rooms shudder. People were going in and out until three am, and started leaving at 6am, so we didn't get a lot of sleep. The bedding was very faded and shabby, and facilities minimal.

Friendly and helpful staff, able to check in early (lunch time) and late check out, great hotel with a range of bars and facilities. TV was playing up, turning itself off. Bathroom is old and could do with a really good scrub or renovation / new tiling. But for an overnight stay it did the job.
