High barrel ceiling in room. Excellent amenities (new safe and mini fridge). Large quiet room, bathroom setup is excellent with separate shower.

Only negative is there are 2 pillows per person. One is feather but I could feel the feather quills. The other pillow is synthetic but is too hard.

Our stay at this property was wonderful. It was a cute boutique hotel and the owners were very welcoming. Any questions we had they were always ready to help. They also arranged transport for us which was so helpful with 1 of their recommended drivers. Will defenitely visit and stay again next time we are in Santorini.

Lovely hotel

Nickolas hotel was great. Excellent location not far from Fira and away from the busy areas. Clean rooms, the pool outside our room was a nice surprise. Staff were excellent especially Eva went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable as a Muslim hijabi woman arranged for a private hot tub at the spa. Would recommend

Clean property Good location to have as a base. Room #5 have everything you need ,bed on mezzanine is fun but not conveniant. Basic Breakfast.
Hotel offered pick up and drop off to airport €25 ride , very conveniant.
You can walk to Fira uphill for 20min 1km from hotel to Fira. Or take a bus
10 min walk to bus stops to Fira terminal where you tranfer bus to Oia or elsewhere. NO need of a car. Ill stay here again.

A home away from home

We fell in love with this accomodation. Staff were so friendly and made our short stay wanting us to come back for me. Sad to leave, but definitely looking forward to booking our future stays here. Has a beautiful pool, even has a gym. Lastly very aesthetically pleasing. Thankyou to the staff for arranging our transfers and being so helpful throughout our stay. We really appreciate the hospitality.

We stayed 12 nights in Hotel Nikolas and we found it to be fantastic. It was very clean and the staff were so kind, helpful and welcoming, they were happy to assist with everything - transfers, restaurant recommendations, posting postcards, etc. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to Fira, the main town, but there are a few restaurants and shops nearby in Karterados if you didn’t want to walk there so location was also very good. Buses also run to almost any part of the island from just up the road from the hotel. Excellent stay. Would definitely recommend.

We highly recommend this stay. The receptionist was fantastic, she went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. The daily breakfast was delicious and we were able to pick out everything the night before. She also assisted us in booking transport to the ferry on our departure and made us pre packed breakfast since it was 6am.

This is a lovely hotel, well maintained and a really nice place to stay in Santorini.

We had minor issues that the hot water hadn't been turned on in our room as we were the first guests of the season, and reception was never manned when we wanted to enquire about this. Someone was able to sort this on the third day and was informed that we should call the number listed as \"for emergencies\" for concierge services, which felt like somewhat contradictory advice.

The beds were also too soft for my taste, and I woke up every morning with a backache.

Difficult to find in working class neighborhood. Upon finding hotel in my rental car, found two unmarked, gated dirt parking lots next to hotel. Then, looking for reception, you're confronted with several doors, none marked for reception. Figure it out.

Good: Room was spacious, really two rooms.

Not so good: My 'ocean view' is actually several urban blocks to the water. Both of the room's front and rear windows are exposed to up-close views to pedestrians passing-by. Yet, there's no translucent curtains--so its up-close exposure to your neighbors or no sunlight in your room.
Also, not a single cup in the room. An no trash can. Except for the one next to the toilet for you soiled toilet paper (yech!).
Hear everything from room above, down to conversations and coins dropping on the floor.
Breakfast OK, only egg is hard boiled. Served on trays where I was called from my poolside table to the kitchen to fetch myself. Very disappointing.

We stayed at hotel Nikolas for a week during covid 2020 and found it to be spotlessly clean and they followed the guidelines precisely.
Our duplex room was just gorgeous! Comfortable bed, great shower & fresh towels daily. The pool & pool area was lovely & clean and refreshing with a cute pool bar. The lady who runs the hotel, Eve, was friendly & extremely helpful, always happy to help and gave us some great information on the local area. The location was really good too, just 0.8 mile walk from Fira but you could also catch the bus at the top of the road if you didn’t want to walk. And because we were that little bit out of the centre the local bars & restaurants around the hotel were considerably cheaper than those in the centre of Fira. All in all, I can’t fault hotel Nikolas in any way. I will definitely stay here again!

Our room had a loft that held the double bed.The bathroom was downstairs.
The stairs to the loft was steep and difficult, especially in the dark.
There was no facility to put luggage.
This was not the room I thought I had booked.

Horrible bed. Told them we would be checking in after 10 pm but we got there and had to wait 25 min for the guy to check us in. Room was in a separate part with access to a creepy back ally to get to the main hotel.
Only one plug worked so we couldn’t charge all of our devises.
Shower was small and they provided no soap or shampoo.

The girl working the day we checked out was so nice and the pool was nice no question.

Overall out of the 5 hotels we stayed in over our Greece trip it was the only hotel we would tell ppl to avoid. We would not go back strictly bc of the bed never mind anything else.

It would have been better to sleep on the marble floor .

Good, a few things could be better.

Overall this was a good stay. Comfy beds, really superb front desk staff, cute place. Both the front desk people I worked with were so kind and personable, and SO helpful for recommending things to do and places to eat, and how to get around. No view to speak of, so don’t go in expecting one. There are a couple things that don’t feel very service oriented - one, the pool is closed from some point in the evening to after 9am, maybe even 10am in the morning. Also there is just one row of 5 or 6 pool lounge chairs, close together, and you aren’t allowed to move them at all. The breakfast is overmanaged, and could be better and easier as an overall system.

Rooms are spacious and modern, with a very beautiful mediterranean design. Air conditioning is working very well and you can avoid the hottest hours of the day. We got a room at the first floor that had a small terrace with two sun beds and umbrellas and you could easily see the pool from there.
The hotel is located in quiet and has a private parking although the street to get there is quite narrow.
It is very close to Fira, only a 5 minutes drive.

The property was attractive and the staff was friendly. The location was a bit of a hassle. It’s a 15-minute walk along a very busy (even in off season) road with limited sidewalks to reach Fira. There’s a cute little village behind the hotel, and the buses worked pretty well (get the schedule from the station in Fira, not on the bus stops as they are not updated). Breakfast was acceptable.

The rooms were very comfortable but would benefit with tea and coffee making facalities. We found the breakfast which was included a little boring and mundane. Could use a bit of variety. Welcoming hotel away from the crowds.

Well kept room, pool area, breakfast area and other spaces. Staff helped make travel arrangements and had good suggestions about seeing the island. Good and forceful shower was provided. There were fresh towels every day. Everything worked fine except the in room safe, but valuables were locked up at the front desk. We were there with friends and they were happy with the hotel like us.

The hotel was a bit hard to find and off the beaten path. We originally thought we could bus around. Not possible from here. Suggest to rent a car or quad at the port and use for the entire trip. There are a few local restaurants nearby, but the hotel is away from the action in Fira.

Breakfast was average as the breakfast room was too small and the staff couldn't keep up with demand from guests. Selection was poor compared to other Greek hotels of similar quality.

The hotel has a small pool.

Our room was huge, with a separate lounge with a day bed. It was a treat to be able to move around more freely.

Really lovely hotel!

I was a little dubious about our stay because I made the mistake of reading previous reviews, however the whole of our party couldn't fault this lovely hotel. Every single member of staff was so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were lovely and clean, and were cleaned every day. The locals have dogs that do sometimes bark at night but not loud enough to keep us awake.

Breakfast was your typical continental style, we found there to be a good choice each day and had a couple of hot options which we weren't expecting. If you are really hungry there are a couple of bakeries nearby, the one on the main road to Fira is open 24 hours and does some cracking food. The supermarket is almost next door to this for anything else. Location wise, we found it to be perfect for us, its a couple of minutes walk from the main road and another couple from the main road to Fira (where the bus stops are) so you don't get the noise. You can walk to Fira easily from the hotel, however as I am 6 months pregnant I struggled with the heat so we asked the hotel to arrange taxis for us, which they did numerous times. It's about a 5-10 minute drive and cost around €15 each way for 6 of us. We then just called the hotel when we were ready to be picked up and they sent someone out. We would definitely stay here again, it was wonderful.

As a side note: If you are planning on eating in Katerados, steer well clear from Skaramangas. Absolutely awful food and service!

This was a nice hotel, 3 Star rating and was that. Continental breakfast was good, and the ladies who worked in the breakfast room were lovely and very helpful. The reception staff were also very helpful.
Our room was spacious with a small balcony. The only problem we had was with the air conditioning, which went off a few times. Maybe we had it on too long ! it was an old one.
The swimming pool was small but adequate. Would definitely recommend this hotel, and would stay there again if we went back.

I have stayed at this hotel before and would stay there again. Out of the hustle & bustle of Fira, Hotel Nikolas is situated close to a supermarket & taverns. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Great pool and sunbaking opportunities. Only 10minute walk to Fira.

We had a few quirks in our room ie door not closing properly, fridge wasn't the coldest, but accommodation in Greece is always a little quirky!

Bus stop is 2minutes walk so you can travel all around the island!

Charming hotel in peaceful location

Charming hotel in the quiet neighbourhood of Karterados. There's not an awful lot near by, but this could have been because we went off season. The hotel itself is lovely, and mostly very quiet. We only really saw other guests at breakfast and later in the day.
We were lucky enough to have one of the rooms with a private terrace which was perfect for relaxing. Rooms were clean and cleaned daily.
Breakfast is basic, but sufficient.
Would recommend for a peaceful location as a base for exploring the island

Charming small hotel with clean rooms and a lovely pool area. Breakfast is basic but complimentary and the service is excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. A few minutes walk uphill to the main road and bus stop, but a fair distance from Fira town, about a 30 minute walk. There are only a few tavernas and bars nearby and the hotel doesn't offer a restaurant, so anyone wanting to be in the thick of it should stay elsewhere, but we found it ideal to be a short journey from town and much better value than staying in Fira itself.

A charming hotel that is family owned and they treat you like family. The owners and staff always made sure we were happy with anything we needed.

Great Hotel!

We stayed here for 4 days after a 6 week European adventure and it was the perfect place to unwind. The pool was great, the continental breakfast was perfect, we loved the tables and chairs left outside of every single room for a small espace. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean. The walk is only 20 minutes away from Fira, and on the walk there are tons of little restaurants to eat at. Some people say the walk is too far, however to us the point of going to a new place is to explore. I would recommend however a taxi or shuttle to take you the first time to the hotel as I would not expect someone to find it on their own. It's actually quite tricky to find.
Yoda (may have spelt this incorrectly) was amazing at the front desk she always was there for every need (as all the receptionists were).

The hotel is peaceful, and away from the noise allowing for a good nights sleep. Very recommended especially for such an amazing price.

Super friendly staff

Good location, close to Fira although a busy road crossing from the bus stop. Local supermarket to stock up on supplies. Staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

Liked it alot!

Really cozy hotel. Comfortable nice view and great staff. Think this hotel deserves 4 stars instead of 3. Good price aswell. Its not very close to any beach, but a shorter walk to the city of Fira, which wa pretty nice. I recommend this hotel!

Great place to stay

The hotel is a brief quad, bus, walk or taxi drive from Fira. The staff was incredibly hospitable, especially Manny. I highly recommend his hotel as an affordable option for anyone who doesn't mind being 10-15 mins away from the Caldera.

Si tratta di un piccolo gioiello composto però anche da unità separate che non riescono ad avere la stessa bellezza dell'unità centrale. In ogni caso di tratta di tipiche costruzioni delle isole Cicladi adattare ad albergo. Ci siamo trovati molto bene con la direzione che ha risposto sempre con un sorriso alle nostre richieste; appena arrivati sono stati disposti a cambiarci stanza e l'ultimo giorno ci hanno sostituito subito il bollitore dell' acqua che si era appena bruciato. La manager, la signora Evangelia, parla un buon italiano ed è sempre stata molto gentile. La struttura è a 1,4 chilometri dal centro che bisogna raggiungere a piedi, fino alla fermata dell'autobus con cui si può raggiungere ogni centro abitato di Santorini. Sconsiglio una camera vista mare, il quale non è vicinissimo; meglio una camera nell'unità centrale. Tramite loro conviene anche prenotare i taxi; che con le loro convenzioni riescono ad offrire prezzi migliori.

La responsable de cet hôtel parle.tres bien français. Elle nous a tres bien accueilli et nous a fourni toutes les explications nécessaires pour que notre séjour se passe pour le mieux. Les transferts du port et vers l aéroport se sont parfaitement passés. L établissement est tres propre .

Incrível! Solicitei um Transfer e o sr. Nikolas estava à minha espera. Meu voo pousou às 7h, e apesar do checkin ser a partir das 15h, assim que cheguei meu quarto foi disponibilizado. O Hotel fica a poucos minutos de caminhada do centro de Fira, é lindo, e tem um serviço impecável. Os funcionários são muito simpáticos e solícitos! Evangelia me ofereceu até um protetor solar! Voltaria a me hospedar nesse hotel, com toda certeza.

Au top!

L’hôtel nous a proposé une navette pour venir nous chercher à l’aéroport malgré notre arrivée tardive (après 23h), c’était top! Très bel hôtel, propre, et le personnel est accueillant.

Petit Hotel for sympathique bien situé ( 15mn à pied du centre de FIRA), personnel très agréable , idéal pour visiter Santorin car au centre de l'ile proche des transports en commun.
