THE WORST HOTEL

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
The institution that gave this hotel 4.5 stars should seriously be inspected, and for the sake of future guests, this place should be shut down.

There was no power socket in the room—while looking for one under the bed, I found a worm as long as a finger. Next to the bed there was also a spider web, and a cricket somewhere in the room. The shower had no water pressure, making it practically unusable.

Breakfast was just as terrible: the boiled eggs were extremely sour and smelled disgusting, there were hardly any options, and the scrambled eggs were mixed with bacon, as if everyone should accept it—or perhaps just to cover up the bad smell of the eggs.

I paid €99 per night for this scandal, and I cannot express how bad both the room and the overall experience were.

We stayed at this property due to being stranded in Ostrava during the Central Europe floods while in transit to Krakow.
It wouldn’t be our first choice of hotels but any port in a storm.
The staff were helpful but the property is probably 2 star at best

Breakfast was horrible, only eggs and dry sausages. Cafe machine not working , no selection for breads or pastries, only 1 kind! The ac in the room was broken and when you opened the window the street noise was unbearable. Bed was hard and it felt like sleeping on the floor. I paid for king bed and got 2 twin mattresses pushed together. Never again!!!!!!

For a hotel over a century old it was in pretty good shape after their restoration. The one thing they lacked was soundproofing. The small street businesses attract a lot of activity, but also with loud music and shouting running into 4:00 am.

Made a bad time bearable

My trip to Ostrava was a disaster.
I slipped on ice after leaving the plane and broke my left hip.
The Hotel were very helpful and sympathetic.
The hotels location is ideal if you like lively night life.

The balcony was a nice touch. Good restaurants in the area. Breakfast could be better - food looked like it was left from the day before and the bread was stale. The coffee machine needs to be cleaned as it spews milk all over (lumps of milk) when you get cappuccino. The man at the front desk was very helpful and friendly.

Stayed here a few years back. Was OK then, but they must have put some effort in: retained same decor but not looking at all worn out. Bad stuff: the lift is slow, and my shower holder had broken and been hastily repaired. Good: staff were great and helpful.

Did not realise how close the hotel is for anyone wanting to visit Auswich in Poland - 40miles
The Hotel organised a visit for 6 friends, 1 hour 20 mins in taxi and very reasonable cost.

Unusual hotel in central location

Good sized room - deluxe with a large bathroom and bath and exercise bicycle. Quirky bar area with good priced beer, if you want to have a drink at the hotel whilst looking at various missiles. Breakfast was a good selection and plentiful, including eggs, sausages, bacon, bread cheese, cold meats, fruit yogurts and cereals. This is in the center of town on Stodolni which has a number of bars and restaurants nearby. We didn't have a problem with outside noise but it was a midweek stay There was an electric shutter on the window if required.

Great stay staff were very helpful in providing information. Early check in and 12 check out. Suited us as we had to catch train at 2. The bus stop is just around the corner. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area, Also quite a few late night bars which we thought might have been late and noisy, this did not prove to be the case, ear plugs were provided but we didn’t need them. Most smaller shops were closed on Saturday and Sunday. Overall good stay which we enjoyed

Location was excellent - right in the centre of the city's party street and 1-minute walk to tram stations. Amenities in the hotel were great. Breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of choices. A/C in the room was essential to have during the hot summer months.

Great vibe, loud/late nights, but overall amazing

Such a cool hotel! Gave us a “Twin Peaks” vibe. Very nice rooms, and great staff. Only downside was the late night partying on the street that the room was facing. Kind of loud until pretty late. But the location to everything else in the city was amazing.

This four star hotel only had a plastic beaker in the room, and the only bottle of water provided was in the mini bar, so (presumably) not free. I feel I paid too much for a room with a single bed in a provincial city in Czech on a Monday evening.

Amazing value for money

I booked this place about 11pm on the day I slept there with very little expectation and just wanted somewhere to sleep. The bed and bathroom in particular were amazing, breakfast was excellent, the staff would do anything to help and the location was perfect. Highly recommended to others.

I like the design of the hotel, it's so artistic and solid. I can tell the facilities has just renovated not long ago, although their staff barely can speak English, I still received a wonderful service from them, location wise is the Best! Especially for Night life, good Bar nearby

Engaging and friendly staff. Clean, functional and comfy rooms .Rooms have a lockable safe. Buffet breakfast has reasonable hot and cold selection. Trams from bus station and railway station stop at the end of the street. Good value for the prices available. The location is in Ostrava's main nightlife area so can be busy late into the night around the weekend.

Unfortunate location of my room near the stairs and orientation to the main street which was noisy until about 1am had huge influence on my satisfaction. Doors on the stairs were slamming every time someone used the stairs so no much sleep. For those who need a rest ask for a room orientated to the backyard. Good for party animals due to its location in the hart of the town.

The hotel needs complete renovation, whilst it would be sufficient for an overnight stay after a night out in Stodolni, the decor and furniture in the rooms are reminiscent of an old persons flat. Not sure of definition of boutique, this certainly didnt match my understanding.

Central location and ideal for Party Nights!

A very friendly hotel, which seems to have an African theme (Kenya). Very clean and tidy, excellent breakfast. We had a junior suite, which was well kitted out. The hotel is located on the very busy Stidoldi Street which is the Ibiza street of Ostrava, and very busy until very late, but the room was unaffected from a noise perspective which affords the best of both worlds. Highly recommended, I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Brioni Hotel is not far from the train station

Brioni Hotel is a good hotel not far by tram from the Hlavni Nadrazi (main train station). One can take the tram right outside the station and get off at the stodolni tram stop. The hotel is half a block from there.

The hotel served a complete breakfast (very nice) even though my reservation said breakfast was NOT included.

The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. The room on the second floor (3rd by American standards) was clean and the bathroom was exceptional. I opened the window for fresh, cool air, but air conditioning was provided as well.

I would recommend this hotel for younger adults who like to party and come in rather late at night because Stodolni street is extremely noisy well into the morning. I slept through it, but some might not.

The bed was very firm.

The photos of Hotel Brioni look good and it appears to be a 4 Star hotel. But Hotel Brioni is anything but 4 Star quality. The first impression of this hotel is a dark dungeon from the early 19th century. The elevators are small and enough to hold one person and one bag. The rooms are dingy and the beds are flimsy and old.
My room was 25 feet away from the main party street in Ostrava. The noise level was very high until 3:30am. I left this hotel after one night because I couldnt get any sleep. One star at best.

OK, good location

I have stayed at this hotel dozens of times. The location is nice for foreigner adults as there are many quality restaurants and pubs nearby.
Rooms that face Stoldni street can be very noisy especially Thursday through Saturday. Wireless internet in some rooms if very weak so I recommend bringing an ethernet cable with you.
Hotel itself is very dated but it is OK.

The people at the hotel were very nice. Room was adequate, but I would not give it a 4 star rating at all. The hotel is located on a street that has many bars and it was very noisy most every night that I stayed. With all the noise outside, it was very hard to get any sleep. Most of the staff spoke English well enough to communicate with me and to understand what I was saying.

We got there at night and had to park in the nearest lot for 3 euros. The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke good english. They also gave us a voucher for free dinner in the restaraunt! That alone is why I will stay here again if I ever return to Ostrava. The hallways are lit only by motion sensors so it is a little spooky walking up to your rooms at night. But, this was a quality hotel for a decent price. Just an FYI to all American travelers, these breakfast \"buffets\" are nothing more than croissants, fruit, and cereal. So, don't go expecting bacon, eggs, and pancakes.

Old hotel. Placed in the area with a lot of bars so it’s extremely loud during the hole night. And I really mean extremely loud. The staff was very friendly, service minded and really did everything they could to help out. I got my room at 11 when check in time was from 2 pm.

Ett bra hotell för party

Om du åker med ett gäng vänner för att festa så är detta hotell perfekt för det låter nämligen som att ditt rum är på en nattklubb fram till 4 på natten. Vill du sova ostört, välj ett annat hotell. Liten frukost, ok. Bokade taxi via hemsidan, funkade bra, bra service, dock blev resan dubbelt så dyrt som stod i pdf på hemsidan. Hotellet ligger mitt på bargatan med mycket pubar nära.

Brioni Boutique Hotel mohu vřele doporučit. Snad jen pokud chcete větší klid doporučuji rezervovat pokoj do dvora. Ve Stodolní hlavně v pátek večer to opravdu vře. Prostorný pokoj, koupelna s velkou vanou (pokoj Deluxe), naplněný minibar, konvice na přípravu čaje a kávy na pokoji, denně úklid. Snídaně formou bufetu s nabídkou teplé stravy.

Hotel dobre umístěn, ale od 4* hotelu bych očekával větší koupelnu (0,80 x 2 m). Postel byla pohodlná a recepční příjemná. Snídaně by byla Ok, ale v 8:15 nebyla vajíčka k dispozici a nebyla doplněná po celou dobu, co jsme snidali. Na druhou stranu párky jsem lepší nejedl, byly luxusní! Oceňuji možnost parkování na uzavřeném parkovišti.

Hotel feio e mal localizado

Hotel parece lindo pelas fotos, porém a realidade não é essa. Hotel bem feio, decoração é pra parecer antigo, mas tem mais cara de coisa velha mesmo. Quarto com um fedor de lugar fechado. Localização ruim, cheio de bares e casas de strip ao redor. Barulheira a noite toda na rua, pra quem busca uma noite de sono tranquila, definitivamente não é esse o hotel que deve reservar.

Jeg var ikke imponeret. Receptionen afbrød min check-in for at besvare et opkald, det var åbenbart vigtigere end at give mig et værelse. Hotellet er billigt, men man kan få bedre værelser til samme pris på andre hoteller. Sengen var meget lille, utrolig dårlig madras og hovedpuden var elendig. Så ikke et hotel jeg har tænkt mig at komme tilbage til.

Celkem sympatický hotel, příjemné prostředí, (krásné dveře do pokojů), pokoj OK, personál na recepci příjemný. Protihluková okna však na hluk ve Stodolní nestačí!!, měla by se zdvojit! jinak se bez špuntů do uší (naštěstí jsem je měl s sebou) nemáte šanci vyspat. Překvapilo mě, že na pokoji nebyla ani jedna (!) skříň, sako a šaty jsem si musel položit na sousední postel - trochu blbý ne? Číšník, který mi přišel otevřít do jídelny na snídani byl zjevně otrávený tím, že stepuji o víkendu v 8 ráno před dveřmi (od půl 9 jsem měl být na kongresu) jen nezúčastněně odemkl a ani nepozdravil Možná, že mu křivdím a že to zahuhlání, které vykonal s přemáháním zády ke mně měl být pozdrav. Military bar je navzdory svému názvu velmi útulný, ale letecké bomby nebo asi pětimetrová rachejtle u stropu bar spíše hyzdí. Snídaně formou bufetu byly super.
