The location was fairly good, it is positioned in a bit of a bad place with the highway right next to it, but with the windows closed it is truly a soundproof room. The location has easy access to busses, these can get you pretty much anywhere in the city with ease. You can hop on the 102 from the train station and ride it pretty much right up to the hotel itself, and if you want something to eat you can just hop on the 37 and ride it out to a bus stop that is at most 20 steps from a place called Special Bar Barbra where you can get amazing burger without spending too more than an hour or two round trip. Also, for those who find the rooms warm like we did and the AC does not seem to do enough, just go to the lobby and ask for the staff to unlock the window, they will bring the keys up and provide the service for you. Honestly was a lifesaver after those hot days.

Comfortable home base for Colours.

This is the second time that we have stayed at the Park Inn during Colours. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The AC works well, which is key in terms of resting up before the festival or for getting a good night's sleep afterwards. The staff in the hotel is friendly and we consistently had maid service this year unlike last year although we usually left the hotel in the afternoon for the festival.

The main downside is the location. The walk from the train station is manageable although not terribly scenic and the hotel is a walk from downtown and the Nová Karolina mall. From the mall, it is another 10-15 minutes to the festival grounds. There is a supermarket across from the hall with a basic food selection should you sleep through the breakfast times like we did.

Given the cost of the room compared to other similar hotels, the Park Inn was the best deal for us and I have already booked us a room for next year.

Nice modern hotel, very helpful staff, a good restaurant, I was on the 5th floor and it was lovely and quiet, great bed and a good night's sleep was had, only down side it's not near anything as in a business park so no good if u want to go out, also it's not near the main train station you need to get the local train one stop then it's 15mins walk from there,

Great stay in Ostrava.

The hotel itself is lovely. It is fairly new and well-maintained. In terms of service, the staff at the front desk was friendly. Our room was not cleaned two of the three days that we were there, but the front desk was very gracious in terms of providing clean towels. We were in Ostrava for Colours so we did leave the room late one day but the maid was still servicing rooms on the second day when we left so she should have been to clean the second day. But, otherwise, the room was comfortable and the bathroom was quite large.

There is not much around the hotel in terms of shops or restaurants. Walking to downtown Ostrava takes about 15 minutes but the hotel is a bit isolated. There is a Hruška supermarket across the street if you wish to stock up on basics that is open everyday if you need some groceries or do not have breakfast included.

Colours hotel

We stayed during Colours of Ostrava (wonderful festival and amazing venue) and found the hotel perfect for us. After a long hot day of music beer and crowds it was really nice to come back to a cool room and comfortable bed. Although it is a bit of a walk from the actual festival it is not a bad walk once it is cooled down, take a taxi to the event.

A Few Days With the Family

The hotel was well maintained, the staff friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were both pleasant, and the room itself was excellent with a very comfortable bed.

The only drawback was that the hotel was a little way (approx 15-20 mins walk) from the station and the centre of town relative to the size of Ostrava's centre, having said that perhaps I was spoilt by being in centre in other towns in the Czech Republic.

Clean but sterile hotel, restaurant not great

We stayed overnight before catching morning train to Prague and found the hotel nice, clean and in great condition as obviously very new but it was very sterile with no character. But it was comfortable and completely adequate for our needs. The restaurant however wasn't great, we ate dinner there and while the food was actually excellent the service was slow and poor even though we we're initially the only ones there. Buffet breakfast next morning had reasonable choices and cold dishes we're all good but all cooked dishes we poor.

Comfortable hotel

The hotel itself was comfortable, location was reasonable; there is a bus stop outside which takes you to the main bus station or in a day you can walk for about 20mins. However, in the night you need to get a taxi if you decide to stay out longer than 9. The main downside of the hotel is that the car park is not free of charge for the guests as you would expect.

Great stay in Ostrava

The Park Inn in Ostrava is a modern hotel in the city. It's a few minutes outside the city center but you can walk it in about 15 minutes. The hotel is well kept, has a decent fitness center and a great jacuzzi. Breakfast is really great with lots of fruits and meat options.

Vhodný hotel pro přespání na jednu noc

Parkování před hotelem bylo zpoplatněno. Klimatizace na pokoji příliš nechladila, při opuštění pokoje nejspíš vůbec...Snídaně nebyla v ceně pokoje (to problém nebyl), ale cena zvlášť byla přemrštěná. Obsluha v restauraci byla OK.

I was here on business trip (5 nights). Hotel is easily accessible by car, with good parking opportunity (note that parking is not free). Room is spacious and the Wi-Fi speed is good. Breakfast is delicious and had a lot of variety. The dinner selection was somewhat limited, but of good quality. The gym was also pretty good! Would stay here again!

Świetne miejsce na wyjazd biznesowy lub nocleg w czasie dłuższej podroży. Komfort hotelu pozwala się zregenerować! Przyjazny zwierzętom! Dostępna siłownia, więc zawsze można być w formie! Śniadanie bardzo pyszne i każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie! W hotelu restauracja z dobrym menu, więc nie trzeba szukać miejsca żeby coś zjeść!
