Very outdated Hotel. I had access to the Premium Lounge, but that was not well kept. They had sandwiches and snacks which by the time I got there, the bread was hard and there was very little selection left. I asked for an iron and ironing board and was told there was a dedicated ironing room on the fourth floor. The room was about the size of a closet and had a very old iron and an ironing board which was about to fall apart. Breakfast was ok.

Wonderful staff. Some of the most friendly in the Czech Republic. I rarely dine in hotel restaurants but the deer filet in the Winestone restaurant was next level phenomenal. I will 100 percent stay here again if ever in Ostrava.

This is my second time staying here. The staff is wonderful! The property itself is beautiful. It feels almost like you are staying in an old castle. There is a beautiful old church next door, and, if you are lucky enough to get a room with view of it, you may find yourself just staring out the window for long periods of time. The front doors as you enter are huge, and open automatically, which really only adds to the vibe of an old castle in a movie. There is a little park across the street that I have fallen in love with. It is extremely interesting and picturesque. There is such a wonderful vibe throughout.

It is well worth the extra money to get breakfast included, as the buffet is extensive and delicious. A grocery store is only a couple of blocks away if you want to have anything in your room.

The restaurant served a great lunches (limited menu) and full menu dinner. Short walk to town square, city hall, restaurants and shopping. Short cab ride to Dolni Vitkovice.

Beautiful, older but modernized hotel in the city center, close to restaurants, shops, and a city park. Upgraded privilege rooms come with free mini-bar, upgraded amenities including bathrobes, and 24 hr access to a privilege room with snacks and drinks. The fitness center is inadequate with limited equipment. Onsite Winestone restaurant has excellent food as well as a good breakfast buffet. Recommended for a business stay in Ostrava.

Lovely service with prompt helpful staff. They respond to online communication very quickly. Wonderful location close to the train station, great amenities, and a cozy warm room. Bathroom was impressive and nicely designed. They don't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste, though, and the bed is a tad too firm for my tastes. But otherwise, everything else about my stay was excellent.

Nice hotel close to town centre

We stayed here so I could do business in nearby Pribor and my wife would have a nice hotel. Access to the Privilege Lounge was worthwhile. Car parking was good but paid (not free). Only negative was that the shower is in the bath and the shower head is waist high and cannot be raised.

Lovely hotel.

Good location, close to centre, but removed enough to be quiet. Walking distance to the train station and Stodolni St. The street in front of the hotel was completely torn up while we were there with no sign of much progress being made, so this was a bit of an unexpected inconvenience. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was great. The onsite bar was lovely.

A really lovely hotel at a good price

Ostrava may not be your first choice for a holiday destination (we were visiting friends locally) but if you're in town, I can't recommend this place too highly. There were road works and a building being renovated opposite, but the actual hotel exceeded expectations. High points - a very wide breakfast selection that included free sparkling white wine, very comfortable bed, excellent soundproofing (they weren't responsible for the roofers opposite starting at 6.45am!) and good blackout blinds. I know that enthusiastice reviews tend to suggest bribery by management, but this is one of those very few reviews where I find it difficult to fault anything. It should be said that we only had breakfasts in the hotel, and that if full there would probably not be enough tables in the restaurant area itself (overspill into bar possible). The lobby would be enhanced by having some material about the local area, maps etc, but these are minor quibbles and the local tourist info centre is only 5 minutes away (bizarrely on an upper floor of the brass tower that is the local landmark). Parking was very good, with easy access and exit, but limited numbers of parking spaces, so organise in advance!

Lovely hotel in Ostrava

We were in Ostrava for a volleyball game and chose to stay the night for a stayover. The hotel was very centrally located and was a lovely choice. We were very happy with the hotel, the service and the rooms. We chose to add the breakfast for the next day when we checked in, so the cost of the breakfast was 8 Euros rather than 12 Euros. It was also lovely. There is an additonal charge of 20 Euros? to park the car.
The front desk staff recommended a Mexican restaurant (within walking distance) for supper and it was excellent

Large hotel in converted building with new furnishings. On a main street but away from shopping centre and nightlife (Stodolni) area.

Firm but comfortable bed with warm room and refreshing shower. Triple glazing kept noise down but you may hear church bells/clock if you're in rooms next to the church.

Cooked breakfast available with selection of cereal, cold meat, pastries and yoghurt.

The staff were very helpful and could speak fluent English which helps. The hotel was excellent. Food was good. The room was good. My only complaint was that the aircon was not powerful enough. The room temperature was cool enough luckily. The aircon did work but it was one temperature and power. ie. 5 degrees was the same as 23 degrees!. Other than that, location was excellent, staff was excellent, facilities were excellent! Excellent!

Pleasant stay in the center of Ostrava

We stayed at the Mercure Ostrava Center Hotel during the recent Colours of Ostrava music festival. The hotel was located in a pleasant neighborhood in the center of town and was about a 30-minute walk to the festival. The room was clean and recently renovated. There is a small fitness center that we used a couple of times. Couple of small issues -- the parking lot is fairly small but you can find on-street parking a few blocks away and the front desk was usually only staffed by a single employee. As a result, both check-in and check-out took longer than usual.

a quiet hotel close to all of Ostrava

This is a very nice hotel; it seemed to be fairly empty during my stay, and was VERY quiet. I had the standard queen room; while the bathroom is quite large, the room is small; this was ok with me, but just a warning. My only complaint is the maid service needs to be more attentive to what needs to be replaced: some days there was no spare TP, some days there were no wash cloths. The front desk was attentive to any requests, so other than that, it was great and I will highly recommend it.

Schönes, ruhiges und sauberes Zimmer, Wasserkocher, bequemes Bett, nahe Zentrum. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und lecker. Das Hotel hatte Parkplätze, eher teuer. Unter der Woche hatte es Abends manchmal keinen Parkplatz mehr und man musste einen in der blauen Zone suchen. War schwierig.

Hotel nella media, come tutti i Mercure. Per essere onesto nulla mi ha entusiasmato. Anche la colazione. Buona ma nulla di che. Struttura anonima. Mi hanno dato una camera col bagno per disabili, non comoda a causa della doccia aperta sul bagno. Essendo stato solo 2 notti e quasi sempre fuori per lavoro, non mi sono lamentato. Ma quando l' ho fatto notare, mi hanno detto causa "high occupancy". L' hotel, enorme, non era di sicuro pieno.

Prima hotel in het Centrum van Ostrava. Ontbijt is goed en de bediening erg behulpzaam. Ook dit in dat je buiten (op de binnenplaats) kon zitten. Kamer is prima en prettig kunnen overnachten.
