Loved this quaint, quiet hotel on the waterfront in Menaggio. We appreciated the breakfast and coffee every morning. The staff all went out of their way to make our stay perfect. They made dinner reservations for us and gave us lots of information about the area. The hotel offers easy access to the ferry dock to explore the other villages on the lake. We highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Menaggio!

Our room was very small with tight space and small bathroom but upon our arrival we were greeted by a white dove that nested outside our window in close proximity. Mennagio is quiet and lovely! I would stay here again! Gelato nearby is wonderful!

Hotel Garni Corona was simply perfect. Amazing location in the centre of Menaggio with easy access to anything you could possibly need to enable you to get around Lake Como. The hotel staff are all so warm, helpful, happy and friendly. The breakfast is not to be missed, even though it’s a cold buffet, there’s lots of delicious choice. Our room was spotless and spacious with constant hot water, air conditioning, iron and a wonderful view of the town and mountains. Highly recommended and should we travel to Lake Como again we would definitely want to stay at this hotel. Many thanks to the lovely people who run Hotel Garni Corona!

The room the cleanliness the breakfast staff and most of all the front desk reception staff went above and beyond expectations.

I recently stayed at Hotel Garni Corona in Lake Como, and it was an exceptional experience. While the rooms are a bit small, they are very nice and impeccably clean, making the stay more than worth it. The hotel's prime location is unbeatable, just a 3-minute walk to the beautiful lake shore. The cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the hotel were impressive. A special mention to the receptionist, who was incredibly welcoming and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Lake Como!

Great hotel stay!

We were in room 401 with a lovely terrace with partial view of the lake and mountains. Air con works well / the room has some character due to the rafters but careful if you are tall! The hotel is very clean which we appreciated and the room has been renovated - lots of space, good shower and and space for toiletries and comfy bed. The breakfast included is very nice with amazing cappuccinos - the breakfast staff are great and remember your prior orders! Menaggio is so pretty and I would stay here again. Although the hotel identities itself as a three star, the comfort level, staff, cleanliness, location, breakfast and cosy terrace elevates it for us. The new restaurant downstairs 1976 Cavour (not connected to hotel) is highly recommended.

Had the perfect stay at Hotel Garni Corona and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to come to Lake Como. In my opinion, it is in the best location with only a short walk to the ferry and bus stops. Not as busy as Bellagio or Varenna and proved to be the ideal base location. Plenty of restaurants, cafe’s and gelato spots right next to the hotel. Would highly recommend the room with the lake view!

Excellent property right on Lake Como. It is a short walk to the ferry (about 300 meters) and there are a few good restaurants nearby. There is no on-site parking, but if you go past the hotel by about 600 meters you will find a free parking area. However, it may be hard to find a spot during peak times. There are paid for spots nearby that you may have to use until you can move your car to a free spot. This hotel is also in a busy area. Expect to hear some noise in your room from the folks eating and talking outside. Overall, a great spot to spend a couple of days and explore the towns around the lake.

Relaxing stay in Menaggio

We loved this hotel in Menaggio! It was one of the lower priced hotels of our trip so far but it did not feel like it at all. The room & bathroom were very very spacious and the location was great. I wish we could’ve got a lake view room - but I booked over 6 months in advance and they were already sold out and I definitely see why. I am normally a Marriott property person and am very picky with hotels and we kept saying how much we loved this hotel. We also didn’t know if Menaggio was the best town to stay in and it turns out it was. The others were way too crowded and it was nice coming back here for a relaxing couple of days of our trip before we went off to the next city. Staff were all super nice as well. If we ever come back to lake como - we will stay here again.

This was the perfect location for our first stay in Como. It gets lively at night in area on the weekend (I was fine with earplugs ) but is quiet during day , and perfect walk to ferry port and sights of the water. Good dining options near by and we ate at the cafe right downstairs from the hotel everyday as we wanted to be out & about so we did not opt for their breakfast at hotel. I would definitely stay again if returning to Menaggio. Grazie!

The checkout was very early at 10 am and when I asked for a late checkout, she only agreed to extend it for another 30 minutes after that the electricity was turned off from their end and a housekeeper opened the door while I was changing my clothes. It's absurd to have a checkout time that early. The towels were not changed because we didn't see the sign that says that we have to leave them on the floor. The views that show on the images on Expedia are probably just that one room that they have with a nice and the rest is just okay. The balconies are so close to each other that if you go out at the same as the other person it will feel like you're sharing a balcony. The only thing that I liked about this hotel is the cafes around it for breakfast and that's not enough to recommend it to anybody. 10 am checkouts are not fun and shutting off the electricity is a brutal way to kick out guests.

Second time staying at this hotel.
From the efficient, polite, friendly reception through to the clean comfortable room everything was of the highest standard.
Breakfast was in a roomy, light environment with the waiting staff providing everything we needed, and impressively remembering our basic orders for each day. Breakfast selection was extensive and fresh.
Experience meant we booked a lake view balcony which was the making of the visit.
People watching whilst sipping a chilled glass of local white is a great way to relax.

We cannot say enough good things about Hotel Garni Corona and the surrounding area. This was the first stop on our honeymoon and it still stands out as the best one. We had a great time at the hotel. It’s comfortable, although the bed was more on the firm category. It’s clean, beautifully renovated and maintained. It’s spacious. Staff is great, they were very helpful even before check in giving us information about transportation to the lake and so on…Breakfast buffet is great but I wish there was an option for Turkey breast/ chicken breast deli instead for people who does not eat ham or procciuto ( pork). In addition, it would be nice to have a refilling purified drinking water station at the guest disposal 24/7. I stayed at Milan in a hotel and this was provided to us so I assumed this feature would be available to us as well. Unfortunately it was not. The hair dryer provided could be replaced for a more potent model. Other than that we were very satisfied and happy with our choice at this hotel and plan to come back one day!:) Grazie!

Hotel Garni Corona in Menaggio is absolutely brilliant. Lovely, warm and friendly staff but also we had an amazing room with a beautiful view of the lake. As we booked a superior room on the top floor we had a bit more space and it meant that when we put our daughter to bed we could either go out onto the balcony or sit on the sofa near the entry and still enjoy our evening without disturbing her. Biggest plus for me is the location, it's right at the lake, near a lot of restaurants, cafes, wine bars etc. An easy 10/10 for us and would happily stay there again!

This hotel is in a great location. We loved the view from our room. However what we didn’t like was the thermometer was pushed to our face at breakfast without explanation. We understand we need to respect the corona rules, but this could have been done in a friendlier way. The breakfast is ok, but limited. No eggs. The bed is too hard and not comfortable.

The hotel is in a perfect location, couldn’t be more centric in Menaggio. Has restaurants and stores around. Reception and staff are very nice. The hotel is very clean and comfy bed. New and good shower.
The only thing that happened is that the two mornings of the nights we stayed there, we were woken up early in the morning (we were in our vacations) by the cleaning staff, they would clean rooms nearby and do a lot of noise, slam doors and talk between them or in the phone with a very loud voice; we were there to rest so that was annoying. Apart from that they were very nice and hotel is very good :)

We loved our time at Hotel Garni Corona which is located in Menaggio. We stayed in a superior room with a lake view which was absolutely stunning and well worth the extra cost. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and the buffet breakfast was very nice with fresh bread, freshly squeezed orange juice, meats and cheeses every morning. We went in the middle off September and found Menaggio to be lively but not overcrowded. The hotel is a five minute walk from the boat/ferry terminal from where you can visit Varenna, Belaggio and beyond to Como itself. There are a number of restaurants nearby as well as gelateria that has the best vanilla ice cream ever! We highly recommend this lovely hotel and will definitely go back to this beautiful part of Italy.

3 lovely days in September. Large well furnished room and bathroom. Excellent breakfasts, general service and position in the town. Hard to find a fault, though pricing is possibly a tad on the high side.

Menaggio is pretty but quite small. Works well if you use it as a base for walks up into the hills or ferry trips to Bellagio and Varenna.

Everything looked dismal and forlorn. ..But the following morning the sun was shining. Loved the hotel. .loved the breakfast. .especially the parma ham. .also the staff. We had a balcony overlooking the square and lake. A small town with lots of atmosphere. Some very good restaurants. The ferry terminal 15 minutes walk. .if you are an older person ask for senior ticket. I.e over 65 they don't tell you.we loved our stay in menaggio

We arrived early, so we were allowed to leave our bags. When we returned, they were already in our room. Talk about service! The hotel itself is very modern and the room was very comfortable. A nice place to visit but not many places to eat at or swim.
