Lovely staff, fantastic breakfast. I had a deluxe room on 11th floor, pretty much perfect, lovely view, coffee machine, fridge and enormous comfy bed. Only slight negative was lack of soundproofing in rooms.

Large shower, plenty of toiletries and the water, tea coffee pods replaced each day.Unfortunately although a high floor was requested at time of booking our deluxe room was only on the 6th floor and was in shade by lunchtime.

Up until the 1st floor I would say the hotel is a 4 star. But having a look at the swimming pool that was yellow and the smell of chlorine intense. Then looking at the bathroom with brown stains in the shower tray and around the shower area, even the finishings of the toilet weren't done properly. The shower head was blocked and water was going everywhere else but to where it should go. The small shower head holder was loose but we manage not to break it even more. Then the food at the dinner, if you really enjoy tasty food like I do, you won't like it at all. I was expecting a lot more traditional tasty food. If there is a next time, I will definitely pay just for breakfast and have the other meals elsewhere. I would classify this hotel as a 3 star. Positives: The location is great, breakfast was fine, the walls between the rooms were thick and staff was friendly.

I had an excellent stay at the Leonardo hotel. It was worth paying for a seaview and the location was very central.The staff were very helpful. Unfortunately I didn't realise that my bedroom door didn't automatically lock and the cleaner opened my door without knocking, when I had just got out of the shower. However this didn't spoil my holiday the mainly positive experience of staying at the Leonardo.
I managed to see the funny side of my situation.

We had a wonderful time as a family at this hotel . Staff were very friendly from check in until leaving. Breakfast is one of the best I have ever had . Lovely surroundings and lots of choice . The pool area was very nice and we always managed to get a bed . If I were to give one negative it would be to say they should clean round the edge of the pool as it is green , a, sure it would be easy to do and would make a big difference. We loved the location of the hotel with our room overlooking the marina and an abundance of bars , restaurants and shops as soon as you walk out . Would definitely recommend .

Very well positioned for 1 minute walk to beach and the town. Restaurants and pubs everywhere. Very helpful and friendly service. Food in the hotel restaurant was very good and very nicely presented. Highly recommend a stay at the Leonardo Hotel Fuengirola.

Great hotel in fab location

The Leonardo is in a fab location, just across from the beach and within easy walk of bars and restaurants, and less than 10 minutes from Fish Alley. Only a 5 minute taxi from the station (recommend getting train from Malaga airport, very easy and 3 euros per person).
The lobby is beautiful and staff very helpful. Check in was quick and easy and there are plenty of lifts so no waiting around.
Room was great, very clean, enough room with nice balcony. Only suggestion would be is to have drawers under the tables in the room to provide a little more storage space.
Breakfast was really good with loads of choice and we went at different times each day and never found it crowded with lots of tables and a big area for the buffet.
Pool area was a bit small but nice shaded area with tables for food and drinks and service was very good. The pool area where the sun beds are, is completely in the shade in the morning, then completely in the sun in the afternoons.
Had a great time and would stay there again.
If you have limited mobility the hotel can arrange hire of a mobility scooter for you, this really helped one of our friends make the most of his trip.

The hotel is well located. However, it uses products from the OPT and claims it is Israeli origin. I was there for 9 nights and got a terrible room that smelled like something died in it. Family stayed for two nights and got much better rooms, even though I booked all of them the same way. I would avoid again to be honest.

Water Hazard Hotel

Hotel toilets were not cleaned. Tissue everywhere.
I slipped on a massive puddlenof water in the toilet. Hurt my back so wss in pain for my last 3 days.
Complained to the Bar Host and Receptionist. Neither of them cleaned it. Both said there was only 2 members of staff on. I had to keep telling gents not to use the toiler.

Unfortunately it’s the area around the hotel that lets it down. I witnessed 3 separate muggings on the street - including an older couple who were staying at the hotel.

Not enough police presence. Unpleasant place to stay when you cannot relax.

It’s a shame for Fuengirola but I will not be returning

Beautiful hotel, great location in the town, the only thing that let it's down was the pool area, the pool is small and not that private as the apartments/house next door and across the street, all face directly in and over looked the the pool area, and they are very close. Other than this though it's a great hotel

This hotel was excellent. It had a fantastic location with an abundance of restaurants nearby. The beach was in front of us and the train and bus station very close. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were incredibly spacious and had a wonderful balcony with amazing views. We booked spa treatments and because there was a mix up with the timings they gave us complimentary use of the spa and treatment. Absolutely delighted with the place.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a great stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful, they noticed it was my husbands birthday from his passport and surprised us with cake delivered to our room.
The hotel is clean and we had our room freshened up every day. Our room had a beautiful sea view.
The pool area was nice with plenty of sunbeds available whenever we went down. The poolside bar had really good cocktails that you could drink whilst laying by pool. The location of this hotel is amazing, right on Fuengirola seafront.

This hotel is a tale of two halves,on entering the hotel looks very up market and modern,large almost like IKEA layout, area had loads of seating and bar which was not open for first two days of arrival!we were directed to (pool bar)I know we weren’t there at peak time but felt this was unacceptable,did not want to cause a fuss after all we were on holiday so said nothing but someone must have a few days later it was open,no entertainment (which we knew)but there should have been !has a lovely big area in lounge ,rooms were a tidy size but not enough storage ,shower was great ,the lady who cleaned our rooms done a wonderful job and was very pleasant,the staff were very friendly and helpful so no reflection on them the biggest let down of all was the pool which was yellow in colour and not inviting,the area surrounding was basic but could have been made to look more tropical,pool bar was very nice and staff,last but not least restaurant was lovely serving fabulous breakfast,evening meal was alright first week but repetitive second.

We had the most perfect stay in the Leonardo hotel, the food was exceptional and some of the best hotel food we have had. The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff have been great.
No issues with sun-beds either we easily got them when we had a pool day.
Sadly no entertainment but it wasn’t needed as there’s lots of bars/ restaurants and a small children’s park opposite the hotel.
Hotel is also in the perfect location for any water sports and the staff were great with booking our trips.
A family of 6 with two young children and we loved it - thank you!

All good apart from the removal of the pool bed comfort padded liners for the pool beds. Also they have started charging for couple pool loungers. The hotel is very good quality, right next to the beach so lots to do in the area. Very beautiful aesthetic and very clean. The staff were amazing, they really went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay. 10/10 would definitely go back

The hotel is well placed for the beach, shops and transport. The rooms are good and refreshed daily. The breakfast is reasonable and the pool area ok although not very big.

The Wi-Fi is weak and very difficult to get connections only seems to connect on the ground and first floor levels.
