This property was perfect for myself and my two children. Very close to the beach 5 minute walk. There are so many restaurants and shops to go to. Also the train station is 9 minute walk away so very easy to get around. We really enjoyed our stay and would def go back.
Hotel has just renovated around the pool lots of loungers. Breakfast buffet had lots of choice and staff were lovely.

Hotel and location fine. To open the breakfast at 8 on working days is ok for most tourists but not for people on job. I asked if they could open 5 minutes before, no chance, not even for a coffee.
Unfriendly staff in reception, no hotel info in the room, internet in the room did not work.
So I will never use this hotel again

Fix your technology

I have stayed in the PYR many times and the same problem always exists. The wifi fails constantly and the tv signal fails around 50% of the time. It normally doesn't bother me but as it rained most of the time, I was in the room more than usual. I found ot very frustrating.

Location - near to train and bus station, beach, town centre

Great room size. Clean.

TV had the main 4 UK channels + channels from other european countries + radi

\"partial sea view\" room had a good view

Swimming pool area is large, lots of loungers

Quiet - it can be loud outside but quiet inside

Cons

Requested a room with a double, got 2 singles. Can push these together but there was still quite a gap.

It's buffet style and was tbh - poor, even at a very low additional cost. Tried it twice then decided to eat out. Some basics are ok. Toast, Donuts, coffee, cold cuts of meat, orange and mixed fruits juice . The small hot food area included mini 'frankfurter' (cheap) sausages and not great looking scrambled eggs.
The yoghurts expiry date was in 9 months!! Not exactly fresh.

Bathroom
- the shower was in a bath was quite slippery
- the wall mounted shower head holder is not strong enough & loose and was imo DANGEROUS!. The water pressure causes it to lower & then depending on the water pressure, the shower head flies off towards you. It hit my elbow and I almost slipped & fell trying to avoid it. I was very lucky i didn't fall

room service very noisy constantly moving furniture (& a bit grumpy)

Upon arrival we were told that our room had been changed for a better room but we were placed on the side of the hotel where it was extremely noisy. Also we were charged an extra $60 for an extra quest (third person) although there were only 2 of us travelling and stayed in the room. We were told to take the matter of the charge for the third person up with Expedia as they are the one that received payment.

Hotel is very clean. The staff were helpful and offered us another room as you could hear the lifts.( Room opposite the lifts) very happy. There is a nightclub under ground on the poolside of the hotel, you can hear at the weekend, but ok. The room we stayed in was very clean the maids come every day. We didn't eat in the hotel as we like to eat out, but looked very good. Being right on the front it is in a good position. We enjoyed our stay very much.

LOVE Fuengirola!

Location 10/10-stones throw from everywhere. Cheap buses. Uber lots cheaper than regular taxi. Our room was ready a couple of hours before check-in which was perfect. Asked reception where room looked onto-was told the sunny side. Was on 1st floor-same as pool. Being on that level there was no outlook only onto an alley with gentlemen’s club! Balcony very small and narrow and as higher floor had wider balcony not very much sun touched ours. We did not use the hotel apart from resting/sleeping. Room was clean and cleaned daily but dated/worn towels. Tv good size and BBC/ITV. Kitchen area/settee. Good enough for what we wanted for our 5 nights. No holiday feel to the hotel. Double glazed doors kept noise out.

Great hotel

It is a really nice hotel with fantastic views and at a great location at the heart of the marina.
All the staff were friendly and really helpful.
Maid service everyday that left you with plenty of soap, shampoo, toilet rolls etc which other hotels I have stayed at haven't, so you end up buying more from the supermarket.
I have no complaints at all and have booked to come back in April next year.

Good sized studio with kitchen area. Had side sea view which was great. Beds exceptionally comfortable. Nice pool area on 1st floor Pool heated in winter lots of sun loungers.
Breakfast continental plus a few cooked items. Bread/ rolls/ croissants excellent AND Nespresso machine in breakfast room.
Many rooms in process of complete refurbishment. Adding walk in showers. Ours wasn’t refurbished but fine anyway.
Very convenient location. 5mins walk from rail station.

Our 'always' hotel in Fuengirola

When we first stayed here for our winter holiday,it was because of price and location. We then realised what a great pool area it had it's heated!
Each room has a kitchenette with crockery, microwave, toaster and two cooking rings. The fridge is a good size and they provide a small washing up liquid, cloth and tea towel.The room is a really good size and we've had a sofa too. The fixtures and fittings are older but everything is spotlessly clean.Very lovely staff everywhere. There are so many restaurants but good supermarkets where you can buy food for making your own stuff. It's a ten minute walk to train station and a 35 min journey from the airport for less than 3 euros. In February and October we've paid around£50 a night. Love it!

This hotel is really superb as, you walk to the Reception area, marble flooring everywhere. The staff at the reception were excellent, very friendly,and, nothing too much trouble .The rooms were quite spacious with a balcony with coffee machine,kettle fridge,microwave ( kitchen area very small ) and all matching crockery which is plentiful. Lifts to all floors. The only down side to this Hotel is the \"NOISE\" with it being in a central position if you stay out to the early hours then this might not be a problem to you,breakfast also available on site if required.

Plus side: Spacious room with separate living area, and kitchenette. Excellent location near seafront with many bars and restaurants. Downside: Bathroom a little tired. Bed very hard. Room on north side got no sun, and on first floor so very noisy with bars directly below, going on till 3 or 4am.

Hotel & Pool Good - Restaurants nearby

We are a couple with a 3-year grand-daughter. We had a 6th floor studio which was large & light with glass balcony We had twin-beds and a sofa bed for our grand-daughter. All were comfortable and the pillows were soft. However, the kitchenette wasn't adequate to cook a meal. The two electric rings were large and in place of the draining board which left no room to prepare food. I know you don't expect to be able to cook a full roast but I think for the size of the room and the empty space available could have been better utilised. The view was side on and was great - you could see the harbour and sea and had the sun in the afternoon. The pool was a good size but very cold - having said that it was October. The hotel and bar staff were extremely friendly and helpful and were always available. There were plenty of restaurants within a short walking distance from the hotel and it only took 6 minutes to walk to the train or bus station and less than that to the main large shopping area. The Los Boliches beach is beautiful sandy beach but drops a little steeper into the water. The PYR is near the children's fair-ground type rides - the minimum card available for the rides is 10 Euros for 12 Euros worth of rides. All in all we would recommend these apartments if you decide to take all meals apart from breakfast in the local restaurants.

The hotel is very conveniently located, rooms are clean but could do with an update. There was no oven in the room (I was offered a microwave but that was not a good alternative). Staff are very helpful but can only offer you what the hotel's owners have provided. There was renovation work going on in the room next door but this was only during the afternoon and did not disturb us.

I stayed in a family room 2 double beds and a sofa that can be used for bed .. Room was very large with a kitchenette cookie, fridge and untensiks etc .. Room was very tidy , clean with bedding changed 3 times over stay of 4 nights .. Comfortable bed with electric sockets beside big plus with me to charge phones etc .. Emough wardrobe storage with safe at €1.50 rent a night ..Wifi was not great and patchy at times.. Bsthroom was large with bath /shower head strong warm water supplied.. Some toiletries supplied with plenty of towels..
Buffet breakfast in connecting restaurant charged at €6.90 just reasonable at best .. I didn't use pool so can't comment .. overall it's a decent hotel situated top of beach esplanade.. 8/10 score

Great location on beach front, near restaurants, bars and shops. I’d recommend it for wheelchair users though the lifts are extremely small and can only accommodate one wheelchair user and their carer at a time. Hopefully this hotel will modify and upgrade the lifts soon.

The location and the rooms themselves are fine. The noise is horrendous, you will not get a nights sleep. From the crashing and banging outside to the club literally opposite it is a constant barrage of noise.
Maybe if they had double glazing it wouldnt be so bad but they dont

Very kind and helpful staff and amazing views from my terrace.
Very noisy place as the building is not properly insulated and the property is a mix of hotel guests and apartment owners. When I complained at reception about. the noises I was told they could not do anything about it if the noise came from a private apartment. Very disappointing. When this hotel is advertised the future guests should be made aware of this situation.

Good hotel in the centre of Fuengirola evening activities. Good sized rooms, Heated pool was good. Breakfast buffet below average but there are a lot of good restaurants near by. WiFi only worked on 2 devices. You have to be careful to dodge the ladies of the night when you return in the evening.

Liked it because as a studio apartment it was a very good size with 2 single beds and a large couch for a seating area.

If I had been looking to use it as a self catering apartment it was inadequate. There was no kettle or microwave and it totally lacked any work surface. The kitchen area was an extremely small space and the electric cooking rings were too close to the sink.

Great location for shopping restaurants and marina. Got upgrade to a penthouse with a small private pool which was brilliant. Hope to return. All staff were courteous and breakfast was adequate. Probably needs updated but adequate and clean. They were doing no work on the 1st and 2nd floors whilst we were there but we heard or seen nothing. Receptionist informed us when checking in

A Good Value 3 Star Option in a Great Location!

Reception staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.
Our studio room was a good size. We were initially given one of the refurbished rooms with a small double bed but found it way too small and narrow and were pleased to be moved to an older style twin room with far more space.
However, the twin beds were too small at 75cms width and the mattresses were rather uncomfortable, which meant getting a good night's sleep impossible. Hardly conducive to a relaxing holiday!
The wait times for the lifts were sometimes excessively long.
The pool size and sunbathing area were excellent and far better than the local, more illustrious competitors in the area (eg: Florida Spa, Yaramar and Illunion). Our main gripe with the mentality of all the hotels in the area is that the pool heating should be automatically activated by a set minimum temperature for the water and not by the calendar date, since most hotels refuse to turn their pool heaters on until November. If they could adopt that, we would be more inclined to visit the area in the off season and therefore see it as more of a year-round resort.
Location of the PYR is excellent for most of the amenities, being directly opposite the marina and the beach next to that, the train is just 10 minutes walk away and there are good restaurants on the door step. We would recommend Pepperoni (Italian & Indian) directly opposite.
Overall, a good value 3 star option. If only the beds were more comfortable!

Seafront Hotel in Fuengirola

The Pyr is a seafront hotel and all rooms have some sea views from very decent-sized balconies. There is a well-equipped kitchenette in each room which is handy for a least doing breakfast yourself and sitting out on the balcony to eat it. The rooms are large with decent wardrobes, comfortable beds and a decent size bathroom. Only complaint was that wi-fi was very hit and miss in the room, OK down in Reception.

Close to all amenities. Clean hotel staff is good. Although the beds are too hard for comfort. Over all good.
