Hotel was clean, the beds were very comfy & it was conveniently located with easy parking. The staff was also super friendly & helpful.

I had to go with 4 stars though because it was very basic for the price - no frig, no microwave & no place to hang clothes.

I’d say if you’re looking for a clean & comfortable place to crash between your Houston adventures, go for it! If you’re looking for luxury or a hotel ‘experience’, this is probably not the place for you.

I thought this was going to be a cool and updated hotel. It was very run down and probably the grossest hotel i've stayed in in a long time. There was a pool party outside our door with a dj and the freeway overpass could be seen from the window as well. There was no way to walk anywhere decent. We drove off as soon as possible.

I was really disappointed about my second stay here my first day it was great it was incredible we enjoyed it which is why we booked it a second time however this time I literally paid more for Less so initially we got our room that was smaller than our first time here which was okay however the next day I saw that I was double charged and so I went spoke to the receptionist he said because it was done away he didn't like he went ahead and recharged me and assured me everything would fall off didn't end up falling off till a week later and it put me in a really stressful situation because I was double charged the money I had saved to spend this weekend with my fiance was now gone and again it's not because I wasn't charged it was simply because he didn't like how the original person inputed it he cleanliness of the rooms weren't all that great it was a lot of hair trash and the surrounding area was just not that good from the first time we went and was only a few months apart from my first visit to this one

The room missing a fridge, when i asked for a fridge the front desk refused to provide one till the next day.
The cleaning team were so great and provided the fridge themself, the front desk were terrible. The front desk was like .. ah ah ah that’s not available only for suites.
The room itself, the bed were broken, the door to access the room was broken and not opening smoothly. They charge me extra $22 I don’t know for what it is reflected on my bank account..
The room were so clean, thanks to the cleaning team. The management were very unprofessional and not good at all. 2 stars for cleaning team only.

I am Very unsatisfied with my stay and my experience with expedia. My first time and it wasn’t pleasant experience with Expedia.

Rooms nice from picture, however place is showing age. Bathtub in 346 looks horrible, paint chips, Stairs to go up to rooms are rusty with holes, huge gap in between door, no way to contact front desk as no phone in rooms, not even a QR code. Has a lot of potential, just a lot of shortcuts to save $.

I enjoyed the decor and vibe of the hotel. The staff was very warm, welcoming and helpful. We came in town for a vacation. The manager personally gave us a list of places to visit in the city. Would highly recommend this place to anyone, and I'd be happy to return.

Was originally given a room type I did not book. I booked a king suite and was given a regular 2 bed. After I was able to check in to my correct room other people came knocking on my door as they apparently were also assigned the same room. For it to be a suite with a microwave and large fridge I would’ve expected plates, cups, paper towels, and utensils. None of that was in the room. I had a large roach in my room. Fire alarms going off after midnight. The smell of a dirty toilet traveling within the bedroom part. For something renovated and priced the way it was I would’ve expected a much better experience. Truly felt like I booked a motel. Unfortunately I would not be back nor recommend

I hate leaving a bad review bc it looks like this place is really trying… but I feel they missed the mark.

I booked it online bc it had a cute retro vibe… but it seems their website has some misleading info…

Their site shows “Our ground floor features a stylish restaurant and bar.”
I didn’t see a restaurant here. Also there’s no menu to be found.
There is seating and tables outside and in the lobby though so maybe that was it?
Their “bar” also has no liquor license so they don’t sell cocktails.

Their site also shows “All our comfortable rooms feature luxury-grade mattresses…”
Our king bed had an old, worn out mattress with sunken in spots, in dire need of replacement. One sheet, one thin comforter, no extra blankets. Our room also smelled musty and felt humid.

There’s no microwave and fridge . It looks like you have to pay more for a suite to get those, which I think should be standard equipment in an average hotel room.

The courtyard view was nice but it faces the major highway so there’s road noise. If you’re a light sleeper, bring something to drown out noise because you can hear everyone walking by your door and above you if you’re on a lower floor.

I will say that the pool area and outdoor seating was very nice and clean. The staff were also really nice.
I hope they continue to improve because there is potential there.❤️

This property is good if you need a reasonably priced option for one night in Houston.

Pros: Friendly and hospitable staff, comfortable beds, great location to be a close driving distance to many locations especially in the heights

Cons: Walls are paper thin so bring a sound machine to sleep at night, towels are tiny and scratchy, no amenities in the room such as a fridge or microwave.

Overall would stay again and recommend if you just need an option for a quick stay while in the heights.

Got to the hotel around 2:30a.m, paid for the day before as I knew we would get in late and wanted to make sure we had somewhere to sleep before the 3:00p.m check-in.
From the outside, my husband was not very happy when he saw where we were staying, he was ready book a different hotel but I asked we stay the 1st night and if he's uncomfortable we can make other arrangements. Surprisingly the room was cozy, very clean and bed was comfortable.
Staffs were courteous and very helpful supplying extra towels. We were on the top floor and because we were staying 8 nights they suggested we move to the bottom floor to avoid the stairs (3 floors, no elevators). The room provided was quite similar to the one on the top floor.
Noise was not an issue but I would suggest they work on getting a restaurant. We had to doordash or drive to get something to eat.
I'll give the a 8/10. No closet, no safe in rooms but they do have drawers. You can get heat or AC when needed. Property on a whole was clean. There is someone at reception 24/7 and yes, we stayed the entire 8 nights. He was comfortable.

It was a nicely restored motel. The rooms were very pretty inside, but the sheets and walls were dirty. The “continental” breakfast was disappointing as it was only coffee and dry oatmeal packs. The surrounding area was pretty sketchy, but it was only about 15 minutes from the museum district which is where we spent most of our time. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but we won’t stay here again.

The service was great, the front desk clerk was so kind and helpful. My room was dissapointing unfortunately. It was odd there was no phone and no fridge. The fridge i can understand but the phone part was very odd. I walked around in my socks while i got ready for a night out and my socks were so black! Which tells me they do not mop the floors regularly. Ive literally walked barefoot outside before and my feet werent that black, it was insane. There were a few broken lights. Overall the stay was okay. The place was clean from bugs and the beds were comfortable. The pool looked very clean and they are pet friendly from what i saw.

I enjoyed my stay no real complaints especially considering the cost and it's pretty centrally located. I was able to extend my stay and keep my same room. Everyone that worked there I interacted with was nice. The room was clean but just a side note there's no Mini fridge in the room or microwave if that's important to you. At times it was a little noisy but nothing too crazy. Would stay again for sure.

I always stay here when in Houston for work. Fun place and very clean. The staff is over the top friendly and accommodating!! I requested a mini fridge my last trip. Not only was there a mini fridge in my room, but the manager remembered that I requested two extra pillow during my last stay. The extra pillows were already on the bed! It is such a cool place. I highly recommend!

The hotel is cute and easy to navigate. It is close to downtown Houston. Just about 6 minutes to Main Street. There's an overall lively vibe. And the staff was friendly. The bar and restaurant were not currently open, but everything else was nice. They had a good DJ on Saturday.

I was told no kids outside after 3pm same as check in time. so I left my son home because he wouldnt be able to enjoy the pool. That ws a lie there were 4 kids in the pool til closing.
Your site said there was restaurant and bar available that was not and has not been available since last month. Your site said free breakfast all they had was free coffee. Front desk said it’s expedias wrong for not updating the site.

Check-in was seamless, and we were pleasantly surprised to recognize the hotel manager from our time living in HTX—such a friendly face to kick off our stay. The staff was accommodating to all of our needs.

Our first room was super cute and exactly as described, but we ran into two issues: a shower that didn’t drain well (standing in your own shower water isn’t ideal) and, unfortunately, spotting a small roach. Not the big tree roaches you occasionally see in Texas, but the tiny ones—the kind that let you know there are more around. We stomped the first one and reported both issues to the front desk. To their credit, maintenance came quickly to fix the shower. But later that night we saw another small roach, and at that point, it was a firm nope from us. The front desk staff was very apologetic and quickly moved us to another room.

From there, the rest of our stay was smooth and enjoyable. The pool area was lively, full of hotel guests, with music bumpin’ and great vibes all around. Definitely the spot if you’re looking for a good time without ever having to leave the hotel.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back—but the hotel absolutely needs to address the roach issue. That’s the only thing holding this back from being an easy 5-star experience.

Pictures are not what it seems. Completely different on site. There’s no restaurant on site. No bar either. They were using the pool for water aerobics and it was full of sweaty people.

I have now stayed at this hotel on 3 separate occasions for work trips. It is conveniently located in the Heights area. The staff and GM are over the top friendly and so accommodating. Any little request (extra pillows, etc...) and they are ON it!

The atmosphere is a fun, funky vibe. Clean and the AC is cold. I will stay here every time I am in Houston. I highly recommend The Heights House Hotel!

They announced my room number out loud when I was Checking in, they don’t offer Breakfast that they said they did, bar is closed unlike they offer, room is dingy but after you clean it yourself it’s fine, pool is ok except canopy is older, but the way they tried to design the property is cute. Told front desk about issues and pretty much got told sorry it will be better next time. Day shift is pretty nice for the most part.

I visited Houston on a friends trip and this hotel was awesome! We really like the pop art style, the room size, and the outdoor cabana area. It was a perfect little hotel that was able to comfortable sleep 4 people in a 2 bedroom. Will return.

Had a booking error made on my part and the young lady working the front desk was very rude and dismissive about the situation
and actually locked us out of our room and I asked if we could reenter she told me no and I told her we had our service dog inside and then she said we could go back in to retrieve the dog and that we only had until 3:00 p.m. to resolve the issue or we would be locked out again. We were treated as if we were freeloaders and not as someone who simply made a small booking error.

The hotel is a cool getaway but the pictures do not do this place justice. Pictures look luxury and that’s what I expected and was disappointed for the amount I payed. Our hotel room didn’t have a fridge and the bed was very thin and only came with two pillows haha. The room was very cold so that’s a plus. But I wouldn’t waste my time again. If you’re looking for luxury fun this isn’t the place to go. This is what we call ✨ ghetto fabulous ✨

This place is neat on the outside and everyone was so friendly especially Will the bartender he came and introduced himself to us offered a free drink and was just above and beyond amazing we broke down on our way through and got stuck staying here but it wasnt bad the rooms are pretty basic no microwave, fridge, hair dryer, iron, nothing most have but they have a bar, restaurant and a really nice pool with lots of shaded areas it doesn't feel very kid friendly but i understand not all places are i gave 3 stars bc they over charged me and I'm still trying to fix it they charged me for 2 rooms for 3 nights I got 1 room for 2 nights and i paid for 1 room the 1st night with a separate card but when i got home from my vacation i seen an almost 800$ charge from them and they just tell me to call Expedia my husband is livid!!!!
