The pool area atmosphere was nice. We only wish the t.v would work to get local sports going on like the Astro baseball game and Houston Rockets basketball. T.V unable to get anything besides movies/shows. Great parking availability with occasional shadiness at times with interesting people walking on the outer sidewalks (off the property). No refrigerator, but easy access to ice. The staff was great and the grab/go or stay breakfast and coffee good!

Had to find a play to stay last minute after the house I had booked on Vrbo decided to cancel on me last minute. I had always heard great things about the Heights hotel so I decided to take a chance and booked it for our stay at Hell's Heroes. The vibes were great since 99% of the people staying there were also attending the festival. The rooms were clean, the staff was really cool and the fajita bowl hit the spot at the end of the night. My only complaint was that the elevator happened to be out of service the entire time we were there but that was probably just bad timing. The stairs were a little sketchy to walk up and down after a few drinks but that's probably just me. If I go back to the festival next year, I will definitely consider getting a room at the Heights again.

Cons: I picked this motel based on the outdoor amenities, specifically the pool but I did not utilize it. There was a large group of scantily clad non- guests who monopolized the outdoor area & pool with a You Tube filming crew & DJ playing what some would consider \"music.\" Also, they could be seen in several of the parking areas twirking and grinding up on each other. This situation was definitely awkward for my 13 year old son.
No tub stopper- I didn't get to utilize the pool, so I figured I'd have a nice soak. No go. Housekeeping did not have stoppers.
No hair dryers- not a deal breaker, but would be nice.
Bar- there are cans displayed at the top of the service window that they do not have and only had one can of the beer I ordered- which means we closed our tab after 1.
Pros- the property decor and history is super charming. It takes you back in time to a Hollywood boutique nostalgia that is welcoming. I appreciated that the ice & vending machines are only accessible with a key card instead of being available to any passerby.
Staff- we were greeted upon check in by a friendly young lady and both of the property managers. They were more than happy to answer questions and be available when needed. Bradford was our check out associate & was awesome.
Room- our room was clean and had a fridge that kept things cold. There was nice decor and electrical outlets by the bed & was convenient. The beds were comfortable.
I will call the hotel before to come back & enjoy the pool.

First let me say that the staff was amazing and helpful. The room however, not quite up to par. Stains on the blankets, walls, tub. Overall not that clean looking. You could hear EVERY SINGLE noise which since the door is directly to the outside meant we were up pretty much all night with people coming and going and the traffic from the road in. Courtyard view room. Nothing is walkable as it’s right off a busy road and highway. We only stayed one night but in don’t think we could have stayed longer. We will not be staying here again.

Stayed here for HTown rodeo/spring break weekend. Loved the potential of this place. Nice aesthetic, helpful staff, in-house entertainment. Area does looks sketchy but is safe lol 20mins from midtown/downtown, and Montrose. Just keep making updates and this will be thee place in Houston!!

When I first arrived at the hotel, the initial room I was assigned had a very strong mildew smell to the point where it was difficult to breathe. The room was also far from my group of friends, even though I had requested to be placed near them in a connecting room. I later confirmed that request was noted, but it seems it was overlooked.

Because of the smell, I ended up staying in my friend’s room that night. While there, we noticed that the room directly next to hers was both connected and vacant.

The next morning I went to the front desk to explain the situation. Unfortunately, the staff member I initially spoke with seemed frustrated that I even had a complaint, even though I was polite the entire time. He stated he wasn’t the manager and walked away mid-conversation, then returned repeating my concerns. When I mentioned the vacant connecting room, he immediately said it would be an upcharge rather than offering it as an option or explaining the situation in a helpful way.

After a brief back-and-forth, he went to get the manager. However, when explaining the situation, my concerns about the mildew smell and room placement were not communicated—only that I wanted a room that “cost more.”

Thankfully, the manager was extremely kind and accommodating. He listened to my concerns and was able to switch my room without any issues at all. I truly appreciated his professionalism and willingness to help resolve the situation.

Overall, other staff were kind, helpful, and quick.

This is a motel. The staff was welcoming and helpful! Rooms are clean. Pool is 4ft deep. Food was mid. Bar area is cool. Drinks were worth the prices. Local bus stop just a block away! The town is walkable! Houston is HUGE!

Hotel was clean, the beds were very comfy & it was conveniently located with easy parking. The staff was also super friendly & helpful.

I had to go with 4 stars though because it was very basic for the price - no frig, no microwave & no place to hang clothes.

I’d say if you’re looking for a clean & comfortable place to crash between your Houston adventures, go for it! If you’re looking for luxury or a hotel ‘experience’, this is probably not the place for you.

I thought this was going to be a cool and updated hotel. It was very run down and probably the grossest hotel i've stayed in in a long time. There was a pool party outside our door with a dj and the freeway overpass could be seen from the window as well. There was no way to walk anywhere decent. We drove off as soon as possible.

I was really disappointed about my second stay here my first day it was great it was incredible we enjoyed it which is why we booked it a second time however this time I literally paid more for Less so initially we got our room that was smaller than our first time here which was okay however the next day I saw that I was double charged and so I went spoke to the receptionist he said because it was done away he didn't like he went ahead and recharged me and assured me everything would fall off didn't end up falling off till a week later and it put me in a really stressful situation because I was double charged the money I had saved to spend this weekend with my fiance was now gone and again it's not because I wasn't charged it was simply because he didn't like how the original person inputed it he cleanliness of the rooms weren't all that great it was a lot of hair trash and the surrounding area was just not that good from the first time we went and was only a few months apart from my first visit to this one

The room missing a fridge, when i asked for a fridge the front desk refused to provide one till the next day.
The cleaning team were so great and provided the fridge themself, the front desk were terrible. The front desk was like .. ah ah ah that’s not available only for suites.
The room itself, the bed were broken, the door to access the room was broken and not opening smoothly. They charge me extra $22 I don’t know for what it is reflected on my bank account..
The room were so clean, thanks to the cleaning team. The management were very unprofessional and not good at all. 2 stars for cleaning team only.

I am Very unsatisfied with my stay and my experience with expedia. My first time and it wasn’t pleasant experience with Expedia.

Bathtub in 346 looks horrible, paint chips, Stairs to go up to rooms are rusty with holes, huge gap in between door, no way to contact front desk as no phone in rooms, not even a QR code. Has a lot of potential, just a lot of shortcuts to save $.

Was originally given a room type I did not book. I booked a king suite and was given a regular 2 bed. After I was able to check in to my correct room other people came knocking on my door as they apparently were also assigned the same room. For it to be a suite with a microwave and large fridge I would’ve expected plates, cups, paper towels, and utensils. None of that was in the room. I had a large roach in my room. Fire alarms going off after midnight. The smell of a dirty toilet traveling within the bedroom part. For something renovated and priced the way it was I would’ve expected a much better experience. Truly felt like I booked a motel. Unfortunately I would not be back nor recommend

I hate leaving a bad review bc it looks like this place is really trying… but I feel they missed the mark.

I booked it online bc it had a cute retro vibe… but it seems their website has some misleading info…

Their site shows “Our ground floor features a stylish restaurant and bar.”
I didn’t see a restaurant here. Also there’s no menu to be found.
There is seating and tables outside and in the lobby though so maybe that was it?
Their “bar” also has no liquor license so they don’t sell cocktails.

Their site also shows “All our comfortable rooms feature luxury-grade mattresses…”
Our king bed had an old, worn out mattress with sunken in spots, in dire need of replacement. One sheet, one thin comforter, no extra blankets. Our room also smelled musty and felt humid.

There’s no microwave and fridge . It looks like you have to pay more for a suite to get those, which I think should be standard equipment in an average hotel room.

The courtyard view was nice but it faces the major highway so there’s road noise. If you’re a light sleeper, bring something to drown out noise because you can hear everyone walking by your door and above you if you’re on a lower floor.

I will say that the pool area and outdoor seating was very nice and clean. The staff were also really nice.
I hope they continue to improve because there is potential there.❤️

This property is good if you need a reasonably priced option for one night in Houston.

Pros: Friendly and hospitable staff, comfortable beds, great location to be a close driving distance to many locations especially in the heights

Cons: Walls are paper thin so bring a sound machine to sleep at night, towels are tiny and scratchy, no amenities in the room such as a fridge or microwave.

Overall would stay again and recommend if you just need an option for a quick stay while in the heights.

Got to the hotel around 2:30a.m, paid for the day before as I knew we would get in late and wanted to make sure we had somewhere to sleep before the 3:00p.m check-in.
From the outside, my husband was not very happy when he saw where we were staying, he was ready book a different hotel but I asked we stay the 1st night and if he's uncomfortable we can make other arrangements. Surprisingly the room was cozy, very clean and bed was comfortable.
Staffs were courteous and very helpful supplying extra towels. We were on the top floor and because we were staying 8 nights they suggested we move to the bottom floor to avoid the stairs (3 floors, no elevators). The room provided was quite similar to the one on the top floor.
Noise was not an issue but I would suggest they work on getting a restaurant. We had to doordash or drive to get something to eat.
I'll give the a 8/10. No closet, no safe in rooms but they do have drawers. You can get heat or AC when needed. Property on a whole was clean. There is someone at reception 24/7 and yes, we stayed the entire 8 nights. He was comfortable.

It was a nicely restored motel. The rooms were very pretty inside, but the sheets and walls were dirty. The “continental” breakfast was disappointing as it was only coffee and dry oatmeal packs. The surrounding area was pretty sketchy, but it was only about 15 minutes from the museum district which is where we spent most of our time. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but we won’t stay here again.

The service was great, the front desk clerk was so kind and helpful. My room was dissapointing unfortunately. It was odd there was no phone and no fridge. The fridge i can understand but the phone part was very odd. I walked around in my socks while i got ready for a night out and my socks were so black! Which tells me they do not mop the floors regularly. Ive literally walked barefoot outside before and my feet werent that black, it was insane. There were a few broken lights. Overall the stay was okay. The place was clean from bugs and the beds were comfortable. The pool looked very clean and they are pet friendly from what i saw.

Everyone that worked there I interacted with was nice. The room was clean but just a side note there's no Mini fridge in the room or microwave if that's important to you. At times it was a little noisy but nothing too crazy. Would stay again for sure.

I always stay here when in Houston for work. Fun place and very clean. The staff is over the top friendly and accommodating!! I requested a mini fridge my last trip. Not only was there a mini fridge in my room, but the manager remembered that I requested two extra pillow during my last stay. The extra pillows were already on the bed! It is such a cool place. I highly recommend!

Really nice place. Renovated motel, that was perfect for a night (or more, if we needed it) stay. Very comfortable room, with great decor. Super helpful and the friendliest staff. The pool and outside area looked so cool, unfortunately we didn't have time to take advantage. We would absolutely stay here again if we're back in Houston.
