well what can i say 1 person of staff was fantastic but the rest. i had money sitting in my suitcase under clothes in a wallet but guess what the money was removed from the wallet couldnt prove it was there, So a big loss of $800 australian was a big loss to us. so in future lock suticases when not in room at any place not happy at all

One bad thing we had was that the shower head in my room is very dirty with mold stains and I requested 3 times to clean it but they never cleaned or changed the head.

This hotel was better than I expected based on other reviews.
The room was good and all was working very well (although some things seemed a bit outdated).
Breakfast was very nice.

Wifi was working well but you had to enter the password everytime you reconnect.

We arrived at 12h30 and had to wait unfortunately until 14h00 to get the room. The lobby was full with guests waiting for their room. Better choose another hotel if you plan to arrive early.

They have luggage storage (= bags can be placed at the reception) which was very handy and well appreciated on our last day.

Great but noise from outside

Buffet was good, beds were clean and bed, (we got the triple room), and staff were all very kind and helpful. Only the location was a bit noisy and we could hear the tuktuk's all night even on the third floor and facing the inner street. Other than that, the price and everything else considered was good.

This hotel was selected for its quiet location and our stay was generally pleasant except for the uncontrolled noise disturbance by our inconsiderate neighbours (my room was just above the reception on level 2). I would suggest hotel management to exercise some control on this to enhance guests' overall experience. Despite the above, room was spacious with a balcony.

Happy with our stay, but need to run aircon 24h

Only complaint was that the room was extremely hot as the corridor was open to the outside and Bangkok was extremely hot during our visit. Needed to get an extra room card to have the air-con on when we were out. Staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was not great but adequate.

The hotel room is great, it was better than what I expected from a 3 star hotel. Overall great experience. Although the breakfast is the same everyday but the food was great and the staffs were helpful. The 7-11 is nearby too, just a few steps away if you are hungry. Would suggest to change some of the breakfast menu from time to time. 5 star for this hotel!

Location -It was close to the train station that takes you directly to Suvarnabhumi Airport...and also at walkable distance from Indra Square and not very far away from Central World Mall.
The room was closed from all sides with a very shady appearance.You could also hear the people in the adjacent room as their hotel room was only seperated by a door on each side. The bathroom was leaking.
The breakfast is below average.
The hotel staff is nice .
Its okay for a very short stay else look for your comfort elsewhere at this price. I would prefer spending a little more and take a good hotel room instead.

Great hotel in Bangkok

It’s a very nice hotel and in good location near the airport link. However, it’s not easy to find the hotel at our first visit because it is at an alley.
The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is quite delicious although the items are almost the same everyday.
The room is clean and big. We’ve got a room with bathtub. There are shower cream and shampoo provided but you have to bring your own toothbrush. The shower sometimes doesn’t work properly and no hot water is provided. It may be a bit noisy living in a connecting room.
Overall, it’s a nice stay to my husband and me. We’ll come back for our next visit to Bangkok.

Dear all, I had a very pleasant stay. I booked the room here based on the positive reviews in Hotel.com. I hope my comment will ensure the hotel will maintain or better still upgrade their services. Air cond - good, Shower - excellent hot/cold water supply. Cleanliness - 8/10. Surrounding area - quiet. Transportation - taxi and tuk-tuk easy. Outside / restaurant food - easy. Convenient store - close by. WIFI - great. The following are available in the room: safe, hair drier, coffee/tea supply, kettle, etc. etc. very convenient. Highly recomended.

many thanks to the receptionists for being friendly & helpful & to the housekeeping lady that will always without fail asks us if we need our room to be cleaned whenever we leave. very easy to locate the hotel. accesible location. walkable distance to platinum mall, palladium mall, pratunam market & neon market. walkable distance to ratchaprarop airport rail link station - connecting straight to & fro suvarnabhumi airport & 1 stop before phaya thai station where you can connect to the BTS to head to town. 7/11 convenient store nearby, so you wouldnt worry about running out of neccesities. breakfast could be improved however that includes different varities daily so we look forward to a different kind of breakfast everyday. overall rating, excellent - 4/5 :)

Close proximity to BTS Ratchaprorop station. Abt 5-7 mins walk. Nice food at the cafe. Breakfast is so so. Should provide diff. varieties each day. Hotel staffs at the reception not too friendly. Was overpriced with my Ayutthaya booking. Paid 1200 for bus transfer with tour guide. I got extra location - Palace. My fellow tourists on the same coach/tour as I am paid for 500 Baht per head. Asked how much was entrance to the Palace, it was only 100 Baht. So I believe staff at the hotel overpriced 700 Baht for that extra tour to the Palace. Room is clean, bath tub is not so we were not able to use. A OK place to stay for a short BKK trip.

Very poor experience, management is hopeless

Absolutely disappointed by the management and facilities in the hotel. In our second night, we experienced random short periods of blackout, which also meant air-condition was not working. The third night became worse. From 1am-3am in the middle of the night, the blackouts kept going on and off, with flickering of switches heard constantly like a haunted house. The air-conditioner could not work and water supply was cut off too. When we checked with the staff at lobby, he was helpless and it was only the third level which was affected by the blackouts but not the second level. Several other travelers requested for a change in room or refunds but manager was in denial, blaming the electrical system and not providing a solution for us. Did not offer a new room for us to stay in, but asked us to go back to sleep with no air-con, electricity and water. I gave up and asked them to call a taxi for me at 3am so that I can go to another hotel to sleep (I had to book myself), they did not do so too. Terrible experience, be warned.

It is rated as a Three (3)* hotel. Although the hotel is small in view of size as compare to the many BIG hotels in Bangkok. The reception area is very well done with GOOD Taste in both the furnishing and design. The staff is friendly, so is the front desk manager. The room is clean and spacious, however, may needs some upgrading. The TV is OLD TABLE TYPE, as most hotels now provide LED TV. The furnishing also needs some upgrading. The bathroom is clean and the towels are clean. The beddings are acceptable. The breadfast is acceptable. The food is fresh and clean. The location is slightly out of TOWN, and inside a small alley. However, it is near the BTS (SKY TRAIN), and also many taxis around. Overall impression of the hotel is GOOD and worth the DOLLAR VALUE !!!

Don't expect too much from th hotel based on th prices. It's a basic hotel, more for sleep. Not much for comfort. We were given a room near to th generator/air-conditioning room (cause there's \"machine\" noises throughout th night. Other than that, breakfast menu is th same. Staff service was okay. Water tap strength is on and off. Like I said earlier, its more for sleep only.

Hotel De Bangkok is a good clean place to stay. The staff are friendly and willing to help guests. The breakfast is good and varied each day. The room is clean and comfortable. The hotel is very close to a money changer which is great for guests. Also it is a short walk to the Indra Markets which are well worth exploring. The hotel also offers tours to Bangkok's tourist attractions. Overall a great place to stay.

Started badly at check in: I arrived at 12:30 and check in was 2pm nobody arrived or checked out late.
They left me waiting for a room that must have been ready. I spoke with the manager at 13:30 and asked if a room had been cleaned as I had sat over an hour. He said it was full the previous night so I can assume it must take longer to clean a single room when full. He then said it was the policy look I understood policy but I think customer satisfaction comes first. A bad start and guess what the room still had long black hairs on the floor. Breakfast was a surprise as not bad although the cleaners could clean before the customers arrive as not relaxing eating with a mop and brush around the table and I assume the dust goes onto the food. Connecting room also thin doors can hear everything.

Overall is good. Location USB near to BTS station, walking distant around 5 minutes. Walk about 15 minutes can reach platinum mall. Room is spacious and clean. Breakfast is normal. Only one thing that's is not comfortable for me is the check in time. We can't have early check in because the room is so full we can still accept. But supposingly our check in time is 2pm but reception inform us the room is not ready yet. We only can check in after 3.30pm. Others all good.

Convenient location near train station

Conveniently located near Ratchaprarop station, which is accessible from Airport link. If you are taking the train there, do note that there are some steps and sometimes the escalators might not be working. However, with my one luggage, I was able to manage. It is a 5 - 8 minutes walk from the station to the hotel.

The hotel is clean and the staff is quite friendly. My room was facing the main road and if other guests were to run or talk loudly along the common corridor, it could be a little noisy.

The breakfast buffet is good and enough for me.

It is near night markets and shopping areas, I walked about 10 minutes for a traditional Thai massage.

I did not realised that I had booked different grade of rooms for 2 nights. Hence request downgrade to urban room to save hassle of changing room. No rooms available.. hence tried ask for free upgrade.. request rejected unless I pay 500baht.
Request for late check at 1pm, also being rejected. It's a Tuesday why is it so difficult?

No water!!!!

There was no water for the entire hotel! I called the front desk and they told me to go an available room with running water on the 2nd floor to shower and use the restroom. Then the next day the elevator was broken and I had to carry all of the things I bought up and down the stairs when I was leaving for the airport.

This is just a normal hotel and is nothing great. No minibar and the air con was bad and not cooling. Breakfast buffet is worse with a very limited selection and the sitting place for breakfast is very small and seats is very limited. A few times we have to waited for seats for quite a long time. Very friendly staff

not all staffs were friendly but most of them are and able to converse in English. They are able to assist you if you need a favor for eg: to call a taxi to the airport. House keeping lady takes her job very seriously and if you need anything else, feel free to approach her. Overall it was a great stay. Except for the hotel light not being affixed on the ceiling. I find it a little too dim for someone with an infant. If you're a couple and you love dim lights, this is the hotel for you. Walking distance to train station and to pratunam.

Nice hotel but quite far from Pratunam area

The room is clean and spacious. The only thing is they didn't provide slipper inside the room. Breakfast can meet my expectation. A bit hard to find the hotel and it's quite long the walking distance to Pratunam market and Platinum mall. I will suggest the travelers to provide SOI number instead of the hotel name to the taxi driver. If you don't mind walking far, this is your good choice.
