I had mentioned I was unable to make the 12am check-in deadline for my first night's stay and upon my arrival at 5am, my room had already been secured, and I was handed the key. After a five hour drive, the special accommodations were very much appreciated.

What the hotel and hotel.com call double beds are only a double if you weigh about 100 pounds each. Hockey tournament kids running up and down the hallways welll after midnight. Desk told me they had many complaints. But didn't seem like staff did anything to stop the mayhem. We will NEVER go back

Everything was great/rooms/ checkin except the neglect from security to enforce the noise issues all night from room few doors down. Kept us up with the crazy screaming and fighting to find out in morning there was a stabbing/Domestic culmination and boyfriend was bleeding all over. Security panicking and calling paramedics etc Just wasn't a safe feeling night for us. Think coupd have all been avoided with security that would have stepped in overnight.

Was very spacious ( 3 floor even #s no view Hot tub was not bad not large (6) could’ve been a little hotter The casino was a decent size with a good variety of slots Restaurants good variety for not a large place. The bathroom was not stocked, shower gel and toilet paper were empty. Shower floor not clean, ceiling cracked and peeling. Entrance trash bins were overflowing. Breakfast was all carbohydrates and sugar, no eggs or meat. I am a diabetic and there were no options for someone watching their sugar intake. Carpets in the hall were stained. Property seems more neglected each time we stay while prices continue to rise. Disappointing. I stay for the convenience. Bar and restaurant not open at all. Could understand limited hours, but not open at all is disappointing.

While leaving the hotel to go to your casino,at the front desk we asked if we could purchase some kind of headache medicine. The lady took us to your locked store/room and just found empty boxes so she went to get full cases to restock. After purchasing her tylenol she asked for water. They said walk down the hall to vending. Vending machine was broken. I told them and asked if they had a cup of water or something back there. Nope! I said that’s OK I will walk all the way back up to our room so I can get my wife a water from our room that we brought in with us. As I turned around when we went into the elevator to go back to our room I looked over and saw them laughing.

I am absolutely positive that if they wanted to help my wife get some water she would not have had to go back to her room just to take an aspirin. In an area of very expensive hotels, this was a great option. Reasonably priced, comfortable and clean. There is a continental breakfast which you can have on the terrace and watch the horses exercising. I will definitely stay again.

We went to go visit our daughter & son-in-law and granddaughter and we were very pleased with the hotel. The rooms were very very clean. The beds were super comfortable. The pool area was really nice and our granddaughter enjoyed it so much. My daughter and i had a bunch of fun playing slots at the casino and even won a little money. The only negative that we had was the buffet wasn't very good at all. I don't know if we just got there at a bad time or what , but everything else was so nice and i think my husband and i have found the perfect place to stay when we visit our daughter, and with the ridiculous prices at many of the hotels in that area Vernon downs was one of the few with lower room prices.

We were very happy with the accommodations there. The rooms were very quiet & spacious and the the beds were very comfortable. The food options were pretty good. They have a few different dining options that were all very affordable. Nice quiet location just 12 minutes away from Turning Stone and 20 minutes away from Utica. Did wish that they had a Continental breakfast available on the weekends tho. Overall, very happy with this hotel. Will stay there again!
