Arrived 8:30pm Sat eve and told kitchen closed (could not see on hotels.com where to book in advance). After 7 hour journey had to get back in car and dine nearby. Returned to hotel 9:45pm to see guests eating in “closed” restaurant which was half empty. Toilet, bathroom, tiled floor all stained and dirty looking. Air con too smelly to keep on. Staff friendly. Bed comfortable enough. Very poor value for money. Would not recommend.

We had a nice stay after a long journey. Friendly receptionist on arrival.

Free parking.

The room was quite spacious and clean with a view of the lawns.

We ate in the hotel restaurant and would definitely recommend the burger!

Good location for Auchan supermarket to stock up on supplies.

This was a very welcome break on a long (12 hour) drive from the south of France. We were welcomed warmly and delighted by the very comfortable beds. We slept very well, had a good breakfast and swim before the shorter drive home. Our children are a little older, but there was a group of young children near the reception being fully entertained by lovely games and toys - that would have been a nice touch for us a few years ago. Plus they are pet friendly (our dog was with my parents, but I thought it was the sign of a good hotel). I would definitely recommend a swim in the pool - it’s surrounded by trees and flowers and fresh compared to our very warm southern French villa - a perfect end to our holidays.

We stayed for 1 night travelling back north. Great location, there was no noise despite its proximity to the airport.
It's very dog friendly , welcoming hotel and the staff were super friendly. Bed was a tad hard for me hence the 4 stars but we would definitely stay again

Picked this hotel at random and was very pleasantly surprised, bright, clean, welcoming, air conditioned - important for the weather we had (36c) - and great food options that were tasty and fresh. Unusually for France the TV in the room was sensibly sized. Also has a pool, we would have used it, except that would have meant a large amount of unpacking. We only stayed the night on our way up from the Mediterranean to Ypres and would recommend to anyone and would stay again. 10/10

Great location, near the outlets with friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room, nice bed and bedding and good shower. We knew we would be late back to the hotel so made a reservation for the restaurant and were very happy with the selection and food standard. It was full too, so it’s obviously a popular choice with guests. It’s also worth paying for the breakfast the next day. Simple offering but everything you need to start the day. I also like that they offer tea and coffee to guests in the Reception area during the day.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and spoke good English. The room was large and immaculate. Bed was a bit too firm but we all slept well. It all looked newly refurbished. The public areas were attractively and recently decorated. Restaurant was good, with a varied menu and a good selection of wines from the region. Excellent hot and cold breakfast in the morning.
It was an easy 10 minute drive from the A26, and the hotel was signposted. Will definitely stay here again

The hotel is good for overnights when returning from the south. Good levels of cleanliness and all staff helpful and friendly.
They are currently (June '22) refurbishing the rooms, although very little disturbance is caused.
With the massive developments since we last stayed here (30+ years ago), a SatNav is advised to find the place.

Hotel is ok for a 1 night stop over. We arrived late and left early. Public facilities were good, although we didn’t use them. Reception was excellent, very friendly, quick and efficient. Rooms were good, two very comfortable double beds, not massive, clean but not clean if you know what I mean, Carpet was a bit grubby.

Stayed here quite often and each time it seems to get better and better.

Despite the Pandemic, we had a very comfortable stay and excellent dinner outside by the pool whilst all the time feeling very safe.

Free coffee and juice in the morning was another very pleasant surprise.

I suppose it depends how much you pay, but at around 70 Euros plus 21 Euros for dinner, the Tulip is not only top quality but also phenominal value.

For the price this place is hard to beat. Reception staff superb. Upon arrival found that somehow SIX rooms were reserved via Expedia instead of TWO. The staff could have been difficult about it but instead went out of their way to rectify and never asked us to pay for theses “extra” rooms. Clean, basic, with a decent breakfast and good dinner. Slightly off the beaten track but takes only 10 minutes (max) from motorway.

Check in was a combined reception and bar. Aftercwe had checked in after some 10 hours of driving we just wanted to sit down and have a drink. We placed our order and sat down to wait afterv20 minites we reapproached to ask about our drinks. She apologised and said they had been busy but we had been sat by reception watching and only 1 couple had cgecked in. After a futther wait of another 20 minutes wevasked again werevare our drinks. She said coming over now sorry fir the delay. Just a few minutes later a waiter came over to us and asked if we would like anything so we showed him.our receipt saying we had ordered 35 minutes ago. 5 minutes later they finally arrived 40 minutes after ordering 3 beers 1 tea and 2 small milk for ghe children. Beds as hard as iron.bathroom.not very clean shower screen useless heating controls a nightmare to use so overall this stay was dire would not stay hete again sorry service awful. At checkout they then tried to charge for breakfadt even though we had not booked it or had any so just paid the usual rip off city tax and left.

Not a nice hotel to stay in because of it's staff

The Reception lady is awful and insisted we give her our credit card as guarantee she said, when our room was paid in full to Hotels,com, we refused. The room carpet was very dirty and soiled. We had dinner in this hotel and the food was very bad. Do not stay in this hotel or eat in it, until they change their reception lady staff, and untill they get a better cook.

We booked into this hotel at the last minute on route back to the Eurostar. It was quite a way off the motorway for start. When checking in the staff were very unhelpful and it felt like they didn't want to be there. I booked a table for 8pm for dinner. When we arrived for our dinner reservation there was no table available so we were put on a table basically in the lobby. After about 30 minutes with the menu I got up and asked whether a member of staff would be available to take our drinks and food order. The food arrived a little while afterwards. A couple of our plates were cleared away (the rest left) and then we were forgotten about again. We then received the dessert menu and again after about 40 minutes I again had to approach a member of staff to ask whether our dessert order would be taken. It was now 9.45pm and with 2 kids I then decided it was too late for desserts. I was offered free desserts but decided against this due to timings. I think the staff then took pity on us and offered us the meal free. Quite a relief as our main meal was pretty awful.

Convenient hotel to break journey from South Franc

It is a nice hotel but the toilet seat had come off and in our daughters' room the bath didn't run properly and the kettle was very dirty.
The food is nice but a bit pricey. This is the 3rd time we've stayed there as it is comfortable and convenient.

This was the 2nd time we have stayed in the hotel and the food is excellent. Comfortable surroundings, helpful staff who speak good English. Only issue was leaving the hotel before 6am when the gaye was closed and had trouble getting hold of staff.
Other than that, very pleasant.

A good stopover

We had a comfortable night at the Golden Tulip, it's an easy drive from the motorway and into the pretty town of Troyes. The children enjoyed a quick swim after a long drive and the restaurant area is very pleasant. The staff were welcoming and the breakfast was good. The room was a little tired and we couldn't open the window but luckily the A/C worked well. Slight issue with the shower as well. However, overall I would book again for a stopover.

We only stayed one night as a stop over from Ardeche to Calais but we found the hotel to be lovely and clean with great facilities. The pool was fine and open until 9pm so we were able to use it despite not arriving until 6.30pm The staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative we had was that the food I had in the restaurant was over cooked. (Dry chicken in the Caesar salad). However, the children both had chicken strips from the kids menu that were nice.

Nice hotel - as described. AWFUL mattress, leading to a horrible night's sleep before a long drive.
Hotel restaurant was over-priced and sub-standard (very surprising for this area of France). Breakfast was similar. Highly recommend driving into Troyes for a more enjoyable (and better value) dining experience.

Comfortable, clean & good value for money hotel. We use this hotel as a stop over on the way down to the Alps and on the way back to Calais. The double rooms are reasonably sized and can easily fit a pull out bed for a child. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The car parking is plentiful but the hotel is a little drive from the motor way but in our opinion well worth it. Breakfast is good, our 8 yr old loves making her own pancakes. I love prefer all china crockery but you can’t have everything! We always arrive late and order a bring from the bar and take it to our room. It works well. We would recommend the hotel to any Brits driving through France. FT from Reading.

Staff were very welcoming, professional and efficient. The location is near the airport so for us it was just a stopover. We arrived at 10pm an de had no problem getting something to eat in our room for me and 2 tired kids. Thank you. Breakfast is free for the children and juice and coffee free for all. Thanks for making a difficult journey more relaxing.

Good hotel with nice staff and everything that we used was in perfect working order. They offered free drinks all day (coffee/juices) and the food in the restaurant is delicious. In fact, many of the customers are locals that come only to have dinner at the restaurant.

The hotel was spacious and we had lots of freedom to enjoy since we came on low season in the middle of the week. Definitely we would pass again if we happen to travel near Troyes. However, there isn't much going on in the city or the area (but the natural reserves around are worth it)

Great stopover back enroute to Calais

Better than expected stay- wife was put off by the name!! Pleasantly surprised - normally stay at Novotel and this was on par if not better. ( lay out was identical to Novotel so wouldn't be surprised if this used to be a Novotel) room was modern and clean. Evening Menu was slightly restrictive and as busy service was only ok but the food we had was delicious - steak, chips and the plat de hour of chicken with a chorizo sauce. Food came to €77 which was on par with France elsewhere. Thought breakfast was dear at €13.50 each so we went to a restaurant on the A26 enroute to Calais and bought a coffee with croissant / similar for €15 for the three of us!

Golden Tulip is a modern hotel near the airport. It's tucked away in a commercial neighborhood but it's a great value and only 15 minutes by car to the charming old city. The staff was extremely helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Only negative - wifi was a little spotty and the number of devices is limited per room.

Perfect for an overnight stay heading south

We stayed here last year. In the past year they have updated the reception and restaraunt. They look much better for it. They also have new coffee machines which are free to use for a number of hours during the day.

The rooms are very comfortable. They are only let down with things like the light switch in the bathroom which was loose and came off the wall. The cleanliness is okay but we did find a dummy under the bed the following morning.

The breakfast has also improved from last year. You can even make yourself a fresh pancake! The far better coffee was also welcome.

Great stopover hotel

Very clean hotel, lovely helpful staff and some good facilities such as a swimming pool, badminton net, table tennis etc. Ideal as a stopover on the way to the south coast etc.
Dinner was nice and certainly recommend the house white wine!
