It was my fourth stay at The Ray hotel. I always loved it and I am a repeat visitor. Their pool is amazing. However, this year, I was robbed. Out out of my room. I had a number of things stolen. Substantial.
No one seems to care. Not The Ray hotel. Not the Delray Police Department. Maybe American Express will care, it remains to be seen.
Do not stay here if you care about your personal possessions. Do not think the hotel safe is safe. It is not. Do not think they will care if you are robbed from your hotel room.
There is a lot of hoopla about this hotel and it is a wonderful place in many ways.
But if you do not want to get robbed, you probably should not stay here.
And if you expect Hilton hotels or The Ray to care if you get robbed, out of your room, you would be wrong.

the room was freezing. The heat blew out cold air and could not be adjusted. The staff was courteous and explained that the heat doesn't work.
I would have appreciated a coffee shop open all hours. There was also no microwave in the room which was a challenge

Housekeeping came 2 days out of 5 when we asked for a room you b up daily. Didn't provide enough coffee for length of stay. Couldn't provide extra amenities such a pillows or makeup remover wipes when asked. No complimentary breakfast option. Way overpriced for what we paid. Highest plus was location but still 20-25 minute walk to the beach. I will not be staying again.

The hotel itself is very nice, with spacious and aesthetically well-designed rooms. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the property. The hotel appeared understaffed during the busy 12/28–1/1 period, & while staff were friendly, they often lacked clear answers or seemed overwhelmed.

It also felt like everywhere we turned, someone was complaining about something. The hotel frequently ran out of towels by the pool, there was no toilet paper in the pool bathroom, and ordering drinks poolside was difficult because servers rarely came by. At the rooftop restaurant, multiple menu items were sold out. Breakfast & the coffee spot in the hotel were extremely slow, and when we attempted to order a smoothie, we were told they couldn’t make any at that time.

We also overheard in the lobby that the hotel had overbooked and had to relocate a family to another property. Compensation was not proactively offered, and the guest had to return to the desk to ask for it, which was surprising. The valet and front desk teams also appeared overwhelmed.

Additionally, we were not informed at check-in that beach shuttle reservations must be made the night before to secure a preferred time slot, which can result in needing to Uber. Our room was also not ready until 5:00 PM despite a 4:00 PM check-in time.

On a positive note, the two restaurants directly next to the hotel — Campi and Akira Back — were excellent and highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay except for two areas. Housekeeping did not do a great job. Floor never swept or vacuumed and bathtub was slippery as if it had not been washed. The outside porch was never cleaned. Bird droppings were on table. The pool should have been awesome but it was nearly impossible to get a space. The roof deck furniture was stained and in shreds. One sofa was covered with a bedsheet. Very disappointed. The front desk staff and valets were wonderful as was the food and restaurant staff.

Has potential, with a good gym, but many “better” rooms are right above car park/lobby, on main road, and poorly managed from ten minute line to get basic coffee in the morning to pool chairs filling up by 9 or 10 for the day (and is a mix of kids and adults without). Staff need better hospitality training, or it needs some new staff. Significant distance from ocean means it can’t afford to be subpar on so many points.

Horrible. Service didn’t exist. Given a room that had more issues than the holocaust. The check in front desk person was less than interested in us as patrons. Later learned from another staff member the room we were given was known to be sub standard. How pathetic. Our upgraded room was a handicapped room that prior to sleeping maintenance had to come to the room to remove the tv and heavy maintenance had to be done. The hotel as a whole is and was substandard. Sorry i spent so much money on the rooms. Not impressed or happy actually disgusted. The hotel was less than fully occupied and no attempt to make us happy occurred. Not to mention the guest who checked in before us was totally disregarded for what they originally reserved and was told a complete lie about what was available to them. Long story but it’s a fact the front agent lied about what was available to them as they requested a joining rooms and never got them. They had children with them!!! FIX IT!!!

I enjoyed my room, the staff were friendly, the bed was typical Hilton, which is why I book Hilton properties in the first place. I liked the location 2 blocks frm the main street, close but far away enough to not get the noise.

My only complaint was I was on the 4th floor, near the roof top bar, the beat of the music went on for what seemed to be forever, maybe it stopped at midnight, but I turn in earlier. Very annoying. I would advise staying anywhere near the roof top bar.

What a beautiful hotel. I’ve never been up that far into pineapple grove. The shops and restaurants are fantastic! It’s a short walk to Atlantic Ave. The roof top is amazing just a little slippery. We will defiantly be back!

I observed instances more than once where the valet used parking spots on the public street and block them with golf carts and their own vehicles and sold them to people that did not or could not afford valet parking and vice versa, which forced other people that could not get public parking forced valet service. I think this was questionable business practice showing bad integrity on the hotels part. Otherwise I had a great stay.

Hotel never responded to hotels.com to provide a confirmation so when I arrived I could not check in. I had to call hotels.com and it took over 1 hour to resolve. Then they had me checking out 1 day prior to my resevation so that was another 45 minutes to resolve. The maid knocked on our door 9 am on a sunday and woke us up. It was OK but I would not stay here again,

The hotel was beautiful. However, we were paying a resort fee of about $45 per room and the bars were closed because they don't have a lot of turnover of hotel guests. We don't feel paying a resort fee is fair if the facilities will be closed. There is a bar downstairs that was closed all the time we were there. There was also a rooftop bar and restaurant that was closed both times we tried to go, even though we went during open hours. Additionally, there is no full breakfast buffet. There is a small cafe with some coffee and a few breakfast items. When we got there, there was a small line of people waiting, and the counter was unmanned. The employee was in the back somewhere. We waited a while. No one came out, so we left to go get breakfast elsewhere. Additionally, the balcony we got was on a side street. The view wasn't that great and it was always facing the hot sun, so even though we paid extra for a balcony, we never used it. Apparently, in order to get the front balcony, you need to pay for the \"grove balcony\". We didn't understand that the grove meant the front street. When booking, we thought the grove meant a courtyard in the back with a special garden view. My room was making a ticking noise when I arrived. I called the front desk and they sent someone to take a look. Apparently, the air conditioning had a leak. Also, when he pulled the front screen, a lot of dust flew out from a heavily unclean air conditioning filter.

Friendly staff, kept rooms clean, I enjoy the beach access to the lounge chair as well as the bag with accessories. Loved the gym got some good workouts in. Overall the area is quiet with walkable restaurants with good food and cute little shops for shopping.

One of my favorite boutique hotels

This hotel is amazing. And if you get one of the rooms that has a balcony looking over the grove, they have cool little rocking chairs. It’s very spacious. The rooms are amazing with a shower that you could see through to the room. Perfectly modernly updated no carpet. I love this hotel one of my favorites. This only lets me add photos unfortunately these are the only photos I have there’s a sushi place connected next-door, which is amazing but here’s the rocking chair. I’m obsessed with if I could add Video I would.

Good but not great. Facilities wearing down and not maintained as well as could be. Garbage not picked up from general area receptacles often enough, carpets and floors showing wear, walls have skuff marks. Electric key lock broke to room and was locked out almost an hour. Was promised by Manager he would “take care of us”. Did nothing.
