The room had an unpleasant smell. The sheets smelled strange. As soon as I entered, there was a puddle of water coming from the mini fridge! There was an ice machine near my room, and I heard it running all night long. The floors were dirty. I put a white towel on the floor, but it turned black from the bottom. The room rug was also quite dirty.

The room wasn’t cleaned when I checked in. I went to the front desk, showed the employee pictures, and explained the situation, but nothing was done about it. No offer to switch me to a clean room and no discount or anything for the inconvenience. That kind of service is disappointing. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The gym has sufficient equipment to keep your fitness goals. The breakfast options were great with a variety of healthy foods to choose from. Lots of parking and though can get crowded in the front, there is sufficient parking near the rear with great lighting which made me feel safe at all times. Would certainly return on my next trip.

On my particular night, parking was a bit limited, except for the spots way in the back. There was a church service going on and much of the parking was unavailable due to those attending the service…a weekly occurrence every Thursday. As a solo, older woman traveler, I did not feel particularly secure, unloading my vehicle in the dark far behind the building. Perhaps the church goers should be required to park in the lot behind the hotel and save the spots upfront and under the lights for paying guests.

I have stayed in several Holiday in Expresses. They are always clean and well staffed. All the staff are always friendly and helpful. I love the comfortable beds, large showers with grab barsand of course endless coffee, which is delicious and the breakfast served every morning.

Room was ok. Neighbors were very loud and the front desk did nothing. Thankfully it was only one night. Breakfast ran out of bacon early every day and never replenished. Nowhere to refill a water bottle. Water in gym never fixed. Yes 1st world problems I know but other establishments better than this. Just not impressed by amenities and overall condition.

They gave me a room for the “handicapped.” The bathroom was the worst. The floor got wet and when I wiped it up with a towel it became brown with dirt. The shower head was on a hose attached to a pole. The shower head had to be hand held.
The morning was very loud with bangs and pounding as people worked on the out of order elevator. Also, children yelling, loud talking and the elevator dinging next to the elevator which was right outside my door.
The staff was tolerant but condescending towards me as a senior customer.

I had no light on the entire wall - 3 lamps on the wall behind my bed. I reported it and it wasn't fixed. It was difficult to get ready in the morning with only the tiny reading lamp on the desk. I had to do my makeup in my car before my meeting. The bathroom floor was sticky and the shower floor was very dirty.

Room was not ready at check-in time.. we had to wait 45 minutes for our reserved room to be cleaned before we could get into it. The gym was missing several pieces of equipment. Staff were hard find in the lobby due to taking breaks outside. Concerning people hanging around the lobby coffee machine (slumped over). Breakfast was good and refilled consistently.

We stay at HIE often. That said, our room at Boynton Beach had a couple issues...
1. Toilet paper holder needs attention. It kept falling off the wall.
2. The three-bottle soap dispenser needs either a mold-scrub or new sealant.
3. It was very loud.
A. The hall's room doors closed with a reverberating thud.
B. So did the otherwise nice sliding shower doors.
The judicious use of shock/noise absorbing bumpers could improve sleep quality a lot.
C. Even the bed itself clunked when sat upon.
Thank you for treating these observations in the positive vein in which they're intended.

Front desk staff and breakfast staff were excellent. But hard as Sarah worked and pleasant as she was, she could not keep up with breakfast demand. I observed carefully, it was too much for one person. Room was clean felt spare.
We’ve stayed at this property before and will again for convenience and fine for overnight.

Large rooms fully equipped with microwave and fridge. Large bathroom with plenty of room in the shower. Not only does the bathroom have a door but there’s a sliding barn door between the appliances and the bedroom helping to make it a very quiet night sleep. The breakfast was to die for. Especially the cinnamon buns.

But the commode sits lower than normal to the floor making it difficult to get up. The AC unit doesn’t pull enough humidity out of the room and so you have to turn the temperature down very very low in order to make it comfortable.

We didn’t get to eat breakfast because we had to leave for our trip very early in the morning. The room was clean and NOT smelly like many hotels. There were some toiletries not in the bathroom and the show was a little dirty. Which a big thing from me. The hotel itself is very nice, and I would stay there again, but next time I will have someone to clean the shower. Overall the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

While room was always clean, one day either I or cleaning staff left air off all day and when I came back in the evening it smelled a little mildewy. It is Florida and when AC cooled off room I didn’t smell anymore. Staff greeted me every morning and evening. And it was a perfect location for why I was in town.
