The room was clean and large with all of the amenities we needed and even included a balcony. It did have a pretty strong sulfuric smell that was pretty unpleasant for most of our stay. Another downside was that there was no “do not disturb” sign that we could find so the cleaning lady and front desk lady would just walk in if we didn’t answer the door immediately after the first knock. Overall good experience though, it’s a 10 minute walk from the bus station with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.

This is a lovely family run hotel. Everyone is very accomodating. The rooms were simple but they were clean and well- supplied. The hotel is above their car rental business so there is some noise and smell - nothing terrible. The pools is smaller than what it looks like in the photos, but it is all you really need. The location is a short walk to the main Fira area. Grocery store and restaurants are all very close. It provided a nice authentic vibe to our vacation

The hotel is very clean and the staff will treat you like family. they met me at the bottom of stairs and helped me carry baggages up to the reception and to the room. they greet you everytime they see you. the room was very nice and comfortable. very close to the square for dining and shopping including bus station. they deserve 10 stars highly recommended.

The boutique hotel was very convenient to the main part of Fira. It was clean, safe and above all, Eva was absolutely amazing! Customer service like that is above and beyond! We had an issue with communication with a sunset tour company and she took the time to help us and figured out what the issue was. She is amazing. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Even prior to our arrival Eva from the reception desk was helpful with arranging transfer from the port and to the airport. The room was perfect for my daughter and I (we selected the triple room as we each wanted our own bed as we were already together 24/7 x 7 days ☺️). It is luxery level but it was clean and comfortable and everything we needed. Joy prepared a delicious breakfast (add’l $10) made to order plus buffet items that we took advantage of the morning that we were hiking from Fira to Oia. Eva was also helpful answering all of our questions and providing recommendations for restaurants, beaches, etc. would stay here again and make time to use the pool next time.

It was okay but not great. Good location for the area but extremely expensive transportation to and from the property and they didn’t advise us we could have caught a bus for the fraction of the price, I would assume they are probably getting a kick back of $$ from these “private drivers”

Best staff I've ever had in a hotel

Amazing trip at Hotel Thira with two girl friends. Eva in particular made the experience, she is loveliness personified. Room was a decent size and spotlessly clean. Lovely pool area, although it isn't the biggest and sometimes there weren't sun loungers available. We generally did a half day activity every day and then half a day pool time though and we were fine.

There isn't a bar on site but there is a mini market a few minutes' walk away, and Fira and Firostefani are both very close. It would be great if they had a mini fridge with chilled bottles of water available to purchase though, or even a vending machine, as you cannot drink the tap water in Santorini.

Overall would recommend, the hotel only has ten rooms or so and is family-owned.

Very friendly and hospitable hotel. Location is close and walkable to main town square in Fira which is where all the restaurants, bars and shops are - this is great as it’s close to all the action while located in a quiet/non busy area. Only downside is the shower was quite small and hard to use, easy to get water everywhere.

There is also a scooter/ATV rental place run by the same family which makes it super convenient.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Great value, location, staff and experience.

This hotel has nice open view of city and ocean from far. Safe and quiet. A 15 minutes walk to city center. Lots of restaurants options 10 minutes aways. 10 minutes walk away from beautiful site seeing path overlooking the ocean. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Room is big and spotless. Price is reasonable comparing to the area. I definitely stay there again.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at Hotel Thira. The hotel is perfectly situated right outside of the main square, so it was very easy to walk into town every night. The hotel itself was very quiet, which is nice when you want to escape the crowds. The room was very clean and the a/c and Wi-Fi worked well. After a long day out and about, we loved jumping in the pool. Its a small area, but we never had an issue grabbing a chair. Next time we come to Santorini, we’re definitely staying here! Thank you Tony family!

This property is very close to the third bus stand and port. The staff is really helpful. The hotel was very clean and had nice rooms. The only downside is that the property does not have its own restaurant service but that was not a problem for us as we were eating outside all the time. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay in future.

Mr Tony & Eleni treat you like family - they helped us book a last minute tour & made sure we got to the meeting place. The breakfast was very good.. location is perfect between the 2 main squares with easy walk to view the caldera, plenty of shopping & restaurants. We would stay again!

Overall a nice place. Rooms are outdated but cute. Our shower head did not work and we had to use the handheld with one hand and wash ourselves with the other. They did come to fix it but It it still did not work for the three days we were there. The pool area was nice. FYI this hotel faces the east side of the island not the Caldera side. It has a back door that leads to the Caldera path and stores/restaurants. About 10 minutes walk and also ten min walk to the Fira square and bus stop.

The family run hotel was perfect for our time on Santorini. Maria, the granddaughter, went out of her way to get us reservations at the perfect restaurant and perfect table to see the sunset and fireworks. Maria, her grandmother, made sure I tried her fig jam (yummy). We loved it there!

Nice family run suits. The property us walking distance to everything, and yet in a more quiet neighbourhood compared to downtown. The rooms are big, breakfast is homemade and delicious.
Staff are attentive, arranged us a pickup service and early morning checkout.
Downside is definitely washrooms, can use some upgrade or proper ventilation, it Is too old and old washroom is not charming!

The rooms were clean but very small and nowhere to store our suitcases. The shower was small and had a curtain around it and there was a smell in the bathroom. The staff were nice but didn't really advise us on the facilities of the hotel or places to visit. Overall, the room was a little old and outdated however the pool area was nice.

The family was very nice and helpful when it came to getting taxis and ordering a latte or arranging an outing. I booked what my reservations said was a Queen size bed but got a full size bed which wasn’t comfortable for my son and I. They did provide a pad and rollaway but it was old and rusty and 3 slats fell through the first night he slept on it and when we mentioned it she said she knew it had a problem. We also had a problem getting hot water in the shower.

This is a delightful, family run hotel in a good location. The problem was, on our last day here, there was no hot water so we had to take cold showers. In Greece, most hotels use solar hot water, electricity is used as backup. Overnight the hot water can be depleted. The solution is to have the electric kick in when the temp drops.

We had a great stay at Hotel Thira. The family run hotel was a great atmosphere and the location was perfect, close enough to Thira without staying in the thick of it all. We hired quads from the business underneath the hotel which were great to explore the island! The towels were changed daily and although the bathroom is small and bed was a little hard, the pros outweighs the cons when considering the location and friendliness of staff who are always willing to answer questions and help.

Centrally located to the 'shopping mecca'

If you want to shop up a storm then this is the hotel fro you! The family run hotel is in walking distance to the central shopping area as well as the area along the coast to view the most amazing sunsets. The simple wholesome breakfasts prepare you for a day of adventure ...try the local yoghurt with fig jam - delicious...

The rooms are simple and kept very tidy, the only downside is that at times there can be noise from the local traffic

The staff was wonderful and the hotel was very clean, but the room was not what I expected. Both the room and the very small bathroom were very old and dated, the bathroom was barely big enough to turn around. As we were leaving, a peek in a few other rooms showed they had been updated. Had I known, I would have asked to move. I wouldn't stay there again...

Hotel Thira is a small family run hotel. All of the family members are extremely friendly and went out of their way to help us. Tony gave us a ride to the bus station when we left and Maria made several phone calls for us regarding a car rental on another island! It would be hard to find to find better hospitality than we received at hotel Thira.

We stayed for 5 nights at Hotel Thira. It was in an excellent location. We walked to the main shopping precinct regularly. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We went on 2 tours and our guides picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel.

The family made this hotel warm and welcoming. The cleanliness was impeccable and the rooms and setting were lovely. The fridge in the room was a very handy addition
A must try from the breakfast buffet is the yohurt amd homemade fig jam. While on the small side the pool was adequate and made it good for chatting to other residents, and finding out their travel tips for Santorini and the other Greek islands many had visited.This is a hotel I would definitely recommend for those looking for a less commercial option and somewhere I would return to..

Hotel Thira is an absolutely incredible place to stay. The hotel was unbelievably clean, the rooms were comfortable and a nice size, and the service was amazing. The family that owns this hotel is so sweet and helpful with anything you need. It is close enough to walk to center Fira in 5 minutes but without all the noise that comes with being downtown. Breakfast is offered, and although it's not free, it is one of the best breakfasts I have ever had, being that it Is homemade by the family each morning. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we come to visit.

We stayed four days and really enjoyed our time there. The hotel has great views on the non clif side but the cliff walk is only a short walk away. The pool is really welcome after local walks. The breakfasts are outstanding with home made Greek rice puddings and yogurt as well a other items. Highly recommended for a little slice of Greece.

It's a family-run hotel. Good service right before you check-in. Owner will send email providing transportation information from airport/pier to Fira bus terminal. They offer complimentary pickup of guests from Fira bus terminal. The hotel is indeed a short walk to Fira centre and Firostepheni. Great hospitality.

3-generation family manage the property. They offered a complimentary pick-up from the airport because they were available. We loved the staff there - they were kind and always helpful. They helped us book a boat trip that was super fun. It's located 5-min walk to downtown Fira. The only downside is the room is quite small, especially the bathroom.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Thira. Maria and her parents are a delight, and they are helpful in every way possible. They gave us lots of great recommendations, and were always happy to answer our questions. The hotel itself has a great terrace area available to all guests, a great little pool, and the family also owns a car/moto/ATV rental place directly downstairs, which was very convenient for our time there! The hotel was at all times spotless, and nice and quiet, despite it's central location. I would highly recommend Hotel Thira for it's location and just how nice it is. It's really pretty :)

From the first point of contact Hotel Thira were fantastic. They emailed me to give directions and arrange a pick up from the bus station.

Maria on the front desk was a delight. So friendly and eager to help me in whatever way she could with advice on what to see and do. She also booked a tour for me.

The pool area is so relaxing and a nice break away from the busy Santorini experience.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. They are a good size and have aircon and fridge. Beds are comfortable and it's quiet.

A short walk (5 mins) and you are in the shopping area of the Caldera. Right in the thick of it. Also so close to the bus station. Great location !!

The entire family are so lovely and generous with their time and do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable.

I would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it.

Lovely small hotel very close to the Caldera

My daughter and I stayed here for 6 nights. The family who run this hotel are happy friendly and very polite. We didn't like the first room we were given as it was at the back of the hotel but after a polite request to move we were given a lovely bright room wth a large terrace with sea view. The main streets of Fira are a 5 minute walk and the bus station is close by. We moved to the beach for 5 nights and the owner of the hotel took us to the bus station in his car. The pool area is lovely - we had it to ourselves most days as we walked into Fira in the morning then back to the pool to swim and then back into Fira or Firostafani in the evenings. Lovely place to stay. No bar though and we didn't try the breakfast.

WE INITIALLY WERE DISAPPOINTED BY THE VIEWS FROM OUR ROOM BUT AS SOON AS THEY WERE ABLE WE WERE MOVED TO A ROOM WITH A BALCONY AND THE VIEWS ACROSS SANTORINI WERE A DELIGHT. THE HOTEL WAS SPOTLESS DUE TO THE HARD WORKING CLEANERS AND OFFERED A REAL GREEK EXPERIENCE RIGHT FROM THE GREEK LANGUAGE LESSONS FROM MARIA BOTH THE GRAND MOTHER AND GRANDAUGHTER AND THE LOVELY BREAKFAST PROVIDED BY GRANDAD. THE WHOLE FAMILY NEVER STOPPED FROM EARLY MORNING TO LATE AT NIGHT. WE WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IF ITS A GREEK UNSPOILED HOLIDAY YOU ARE AFTER.

Perfect, simple place to explore the island from.

Perfect place for whomever is looking for a simple, clean, comfortable room at a decent price. The hosts/staff are great and very accommodating and helpful in every way. The pool area is nice and the view (on the non-Caldera side) is pretty.
It's close and accessible to the main parts of town for easy walking, and it's just a couple of blocks to the walk with Caldera views. If you want/need a car (or ATV if you're brave) is available from Tony at the street level.
If you're not planning on spending a lot of time in your room, and don't want to spend a lot of $$$ to be on the Caldera side, this is a perfect place.

Our stay at Hotel Thira was a great time. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable for three of us. All facilities and bedding were fine. The area is very quiet, but a short walk to the shops and restaurants.

The owners Antonis and Antonia were extremely caring and kind, going out of their way more than once to assist us and ensure we arrived and departed with no issues. They were very generous with their time and made us feel very welcome.

Best hotel in Santorini

We couldn't have asked for more from this beautiful, clean, family-run hotel. The location is fantastic - within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants of central Thira, but just far out enough to be peaceful and tranquil when you want to relax undisturbed. The family who run the hotel are extremely friendly and accommodating - we hired a car and a quad from them too and they couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel itself (as well as our room, which was cleaned daily) was spotless. We would highly recommend staying here - it had everything you need and more.

Lovely quaint hotel

The hotel is spotlessly clean and is very much family run. The rooms are a little old fashioned, but clean and with good Aircon. The wifi only works around the pool area. Breakfast seemed a little meagre, so we went out each morning instead.
The staff are very friendly and can arrange vehicle rental and tours from their office downstairs.

we stayed in the apartment a short distance away from the hotel which suited us perfectly, it was quiet and exceptionally roomy, the owner & his wife could not have been more friendly & helpful. 7 minute walk into centre of town and bus station.

Nice little hotel

This is a great little hotel. It is family owned and run and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful, including allowing you to store your bags and giving you a ride to the bus terminal if you have to catch a late ferry. The food and service is also great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
