We loved this hotel. It was right in the city of Fira. There are 2 public parking lots right across the street (which is good bc there is no other parking. The only time we had trouble finding a space was right at noon when the school lets out). The beds were very nice, as was the bathroom. We loved the nearby bakery - Piccolo Coffee Spot and a local restaurant - Tholoto. This was such a wonderful experience.

The downside of this property was the bathroom size...it was tiny. The staff were great, location was away from the busy centre but very walkable. Great sunset views, access directly to the trail to Oia or close by bus station if walking is nIt your thing. Adequate cooking facilities which could be improved with a microwave.

We were upgraded to a room with balcony which we use to have dinner and breakfast. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very modern and clean. I appreciated the extensive shelving space which usually is limited in most hotels. The hotel is very close to the main touristic area of Santorini which makes it convenient. We did not use the jacuzzi because the water was very cold. Angeliki was very communicative since the beginning and gave us some tips for exploring the island. It would be nice if the hotel could add some breakfast.

I really enjoyed my stay here -- the location is very convenient and the manager is really helpful and kind -- we arrived on a late flight and she left notes in the room with all the information we needed! The room was very cute and clean. I would absolutely stay here again, the value for the money was excellent!

Lost power due to winds. Not a problem, but the emergency lights in the room turned on and were brighter than the normal lights. And there was no 24 hour emergency contact for staff or management.
No way to turn them off or dim them. They only go off after the battery runs down. 3-4 hours. We got very little sleep that night.

However, it was the staff, especially Angeliki, the hotel owner, that put my stay over the top. She was kind, helpful, easy to chat with and a wealth of information. Would definitely reccomend staying here if you’re ever in Santorini and want to stay around Fira. Walking distance from the town and nightlife which was amazing! The hotel was such a vibe with the outdoor pool and private balcony area. The staff were amazing as they also allowed us to check out a bit later and keep our luggage’s safe with no charge as our flight ended up being delayed. Also keep in mind that because we are pretty high up from the mountains, there is a lot of humidity which did affect our power for one night, not a big deal as we came home late anyway from enjoying the clubs in the area.

It’s a small place but is clean and has everything you need. Communication with the hotel was excellent before I got there. They set up my airport pickup. The area is not far from the main path that takes you to the shops and restaurants. There is a mini mart beside it and a quad and scooter rental. Excellent sunset views just up the road. I recommend a restaurant called To Briki for views and amazing food. Just around the corner. Nothing fancy but well run and no complaints.

Lovely Stay at Afrodete. Great Value and Location!

We really enjoyed our stay at Afrodete! The location is great, the room was clean, and the lady who welcomed us was extremely kind and helpful.

There’s a moto rental right next door, which made it super convenient to explore the island. It’s a great price-quality choice, especially for Santorini. We also appreciated being able to wash some clothes and dry them on the balcony, a big plus during our trip!

They don’t offer breakfast, but you can make coffee in the room, and there’s a convenience store right next door for anything else you might need.

Just a heads-up: the hotel is located a few feet uphill and then up some stairs, so it might not be ideal for those with limited mobility. But we found it totally worth it!

Highly recommend Afrodete for a cozy, affordable stay in Santorini!

Great location and great service from owner. Really recommend. Angelika - the manager is very helpful person and very pleasant personality. She went above and beyond to maintain the property. Also gave us free welcome kit - water, bread etc. as well bowl for cereals or breakfast which we forgot this time when asked. There is mini market at 2 minutes walking distance and also iconic restaurants next to this location. the price was reasonable in compare to other places. Walking to Fira bus station in around 15 minutes.

We enjoyed our stay in Santorini. The Afrodete is just off the main road in Fira, and close to multiple tasty restaurants. You do not need to eat on the Caldera side unless you just want the sunset view. You are right on the edge of town, and thus away from the crazy crowds, which we liked. The room was clean and comfortable, serviced daily for clean towels and similar. There is a little plunge pool/spa for an afternoon cool off. The pool is a shared space, but has 4 sun chairs and was never full. The room included a mini-fridge which was great for keeping bottled water cold and a spot for our breakfast yogurts. The property has a spot to hang wet clothes if you wash anything (like swim suits). There is a steep driveway to get to the front of the property, but we found a back way from above that works great if you are coming down from Fira. There is a bus stop nearby, but that line only runs once an hour, pretty easy to walk down hill to the main bus station to get to places like Oia and the ferry port. If you have luggage, would recommend you take a shared taxi from the port to the hotel ($20 for 2 people) and then you can do the bus back to port for only $5 for 2 people. The staff at Afrodete was lovely, they helped us check bus schedules, provided pool towels and daily greetings as we came and went. They also rescued our clothes from the line before the rain! We would stay here again, it was quiet, cool and comfortable for a 5 day stay.

I had a fantastic stay at Afrodete Hotel. Firstly, its location couldn't be more ideal - it's near to the centre of Fira which is easily walkable. The hotel itself is clean and very comfortable. It's a hidden jewel when searching for hotels to stay in in Satnorini- I can't recommend it enough.

Also Angeliki is extremely responsive and helpful with all manner of questions - from late check to local recommendations. Thank you!

Perfect stay

The room was confortable and clean. The staff was very helpfull to help us organise our activities. The bus Station of Fira is only 10 minutes away by walk from the hôtel. From there you can go to Santos Wine Winery, Oia, Black or Red Beach and also to the port for the ferry that goes to other Island for the price of 2€ per person. We will come back!

Really close to Firostefani, which is a lovely part of Santorini. Great restaurants, easy walk and friendly people. Less crowded than Fira which was good!!
I would stay here again for sure. Lots of stairs to get to rooms and after the cab driver not dropping me at the door….one very steep hill to walk up to Reception. Not the hotel’s fault- just be warned about the lazy and rip off cab drivers at the airport.

Stayed for 2 nights in the apartment. Had everything we needed. Very clean and were able to check in at 12. One of the rooms had a Carribean feel to it. A lot of outlets. They cleaned our room after first night and replaced all amenities, including a croissant for breakfast, which was very nice. Stored luggage after checkout for later flight. Nice balcony to have breakfast and meals. Lotion was provided which was a big plus, and I've only seen this mostly in US hotels. Shower was small, and bathroom can get wet if not careful. Just a minor inconvenience for 2 nights. But would stay again if in the area. Highly recommend.

Our family of 4 loved our apartment at Afrodete. It was a very short walk into the main parts of Fira, and was so quiet at night. The pool is very small, but my 10 and 12 year old loved going from breakfast on our patio to a quick swim before we got going for the day.
The office staff were very friendly and answered all of my questions, including tips on where to swim.
Our apartment was very modern, clean, and had a full kitchen that we used for breakfast and snacks.
The property is not overlooking the caldera side, but is a short walk to the views. It does have beautiful views down the other side of the island, to the beach right Aegean Sea.
We would definitely come and stay again.

This is a beautiful little hotel in a convenient location. The room was beautifully appointed. The only drawback was the strong smell of fresh paint; it almost had a kerosene smell to it. We had to open the doors in the middle of the night to breathe!

Great small hotel in quiet but cental location

Quiet little hotel. Our room had a small terasse. Nice jacuzzi in front of the hotel if you dont want to go to the beach. Central location without being in the buzy part of town.
The owner was really welcoming and helpful with everything we needed.

Great hotel without paying a lot. Best thing about this hotel is the location in firostefani, you are centrally located so very easy to walk to all the other areas and located right down the road from the bus stop. Our room was gorgeous with a nice balcony and view of the ocean. One thing to note is this hotel does not face the caldera (sunset) side of the ocean, but we had beautiful sunrises everyday. The pool is small but does the trick on a hot day. I would definitely stay here again!

The location of this property is amazing, there are restaurants, mini markets and a bakery on the same street. Thera is 5 min walk from the hotel and so is Firostefani. The hotel was well kept, cleaner lady was there every morning, and the room was very nice.
The only thing that we missed was a safe box to put passports and money.
We recommend the hotel, very friendly owners and staff.
