The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent especially if your in foot as food and views are super close. The hotel pool is great and the donkeys pass by up the hill daily. We would highly recommend you take advantage to the balcony Orr your room or is the terrace for a group gathering. The morning coffee and little cookies where excellent also.

Overall, a nice bed and breakfast with a pool, AC, patio/balcony area. It is very close to the center of Fira but is a bit of a walk. It is quieter and out of the areas with lots of crowds, which we preferred. Rooms were clean and fresh towels were available everyday. The only thing was the staff weren’t the nicest especially when compared to other places in Greece I’ve stayed.

Comfy Stay!

I had a comfortable stay here. They have free tea/coffee in reception and are super friendly. Someone even cleaned my room everyday despite me leaving the room late on some days. There are some restaurant and sunset viewpoint nearby. The walk into Fira is not terrible, 15 mins walk to bus station, but there are no and/or uneven pavement so just bear that in mind for luggage. Shower was very small but I enjoyed my stay here nevertheless :)

Great location close enough to walk to Fira but quiet because your not in Fira. There is a pool and bed was very comfortable. Safe in room for belongings. Coffee machine and books to read. They were nice enough to store our luggage since we had an early flight in. Would recommend and would stay again.

The pictures are not very accurate to what you arrive too. First of all we were told we can have transportation from the airport or hotel.. then was told it was too late (it was 4pm). We get to the hotel after taking a 40 minute “taxi” (actually was a sweaty group bus). The bus driver didnt even know where the hotel was and couldnt understand us. The women who checked us in was so rude and told us drivers are hard to get and then I asked to arrange a car to Oia the next day.. she proceeded to tell me it was too expensive yet it wasnt her paying??? Its me. The hotel is in a poverished village but a 10 minute walk outside of the super nice resort coast. Hotel only had 10 rooms and hotel check in lady was rude. We checked out early and enjoyed what Santorini actually is about in Oia. Hotel is too far from any type of attractions, activities and/or sightseeing.

Perfect location and great stay

Great location and wonderful service! We were able to check in early which was very helpful after an early morning flight. The location is a ten minute walk to the town and offers all you could need to enjoy your stay in Santorini. Of course it isn’t a 5 star cliff side pool location but if you are traveling on a budget or want to be conservative about spending money on accommodation but still have a safe and clean hotel this is perfect. The beds were also extremely comfy!! Will definitely stay again

The check in was easy and the woman at the front desk was willing to give directions or recommendations of restaurants or anything you needed. However, it was really hard to contact this property in advance, I messaged them a week before about a transfer from the port, sent another message a couple days later and didn't get a response until the day before we arrived. The pool was nice and the sunchairs and lounge areas were nice. Tea and coffee were available. Our room had a really bad odour the entire time we were there. You would get used to it after being in the room for a while, but every time we entered the room it smelled bad. The shower was awful.... really really small.... I had to shower with the curtain open to have enough room to move my arms. The beds were really comfortable. The Wi-Fi was really good. The A/C worked well. Nice little balcony on our room. No elevator. Not actually in Fira, but really close and easy 15 minute walk to the main area or 20 minute walk to the bus station.

Wanted somewhere cheap and cheerful to lay our heads and this was perfect! Lovely little pool with a few sun beds which we mostly had to ourselves. A 2 minute walk to the coastal path with beautiful views and very close to bars restaurants and shops in Fira. Would definitely stay again!

Close to the centre of Fira and very close to the caldera view of Firostefani. Staff were great and picked us up from the airport late at night even though our flight had been delayed. The room had a fridge which came in very useful. We had a large balcony with our double room, we thought it was a very good hotel for the price in a lovely location. You don't get the caldera view from the hotel but it is only a short walk to the edge at Firostefani (5 mins) and a 10 minute walk to Fira.

Nice budget hotel in good location.

Clean and nice villa, don't expect any luxury, but good for basic needs. Close to promenade along the sea shore (behind the cathedral if you go up to the street where the bus stop is). Unfortunately, I discovered it only on the last day of my stay. Too far from the central bus station, but the hotel provides airport shuttle for 15 euros. Very convenient.

Great hotel on outskirts of Firostefani

I absolutely loved it here. Let's not pretend a 5-star hotel with beautiful ornamentation and fixtures, but it is a great little hotel for what it is. Room was nice and very clean, the double bed my girlfriend and I shared was extremely comfortable. I found the bathroom a little small (but in Europe almost all bathrooms are small, and I am 6'3\") but functional and clean. The pool was refreshing, we often came back from a long day of hiking/ATVing/doing tours/swimming and hopped in the pool to cool off and unwind. I found the location to be great - not quite on the outskirts of Firostefani, but close enough to walk to everything. Maybe a 12-14 minute walk to the Central Fira Bus station. And a 3 minute walk to a spectacular view of the caldera (all the views are spectacular). What really made it great for me was the staff. The lady at reception was extremely helpful and kind and welcoming to us. (I believe she owns it with her husband who also works at reception sometimes, but I never asked. I also don't think I'm allowed to post her name in my review). Anyways, they were so amazing to us and answered every question we had and were pleasant to talk to. The hotel is also located on a little side street away from the noisy cars and atvs and scooters, which also made it seem like it was our little hide-away at the end of the day. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Santorini. I loved the island and this hotel made the experience even better!

We recently had a five night stay at Anemomilos Villa and enjoyed every moment of it. It was a fantastic place to explore Santorini from and we could not have asked for much more.

We flew in late at night, but Petros from the hotel pick this up for a reasonable transfer fee of €15. The room was quite nice - seemingly renovated very recently and (while not of the sea) had good views of the surrounding area. The balcony was large and quite comfortable to sit out on. While the pool is on the small side, it has a good number of sunbeds and is good to cool off and on a hot day. Each room has its own wifi connection which worked very well for us.

The hotel is located in a very convenient area. It is in Firostefani, which is only a 7-10 minute walk to the main drag of Fira itself. It is very close to the bus route, and is also in a perfect place to do the hike from Fira to Oia. There are a lot of conveniences nearby, including little markets, car rentals and restaurants, not to mention a short walk to famous St Girasmos church (the blue dome one you see in all the photos of Santorini), as well as the shops and restaurants on the main walk along the top of the cliff overlooking the caldera.

Anna, the owner, was very accommodating and nice. Her English was very good and she was able to help us with anything else we needed. We thank her and Petros and hope to stay again soon.

It was a very pleasant stay. We arrived and left by Blue Star Ferry and a ride from and to the port was a great help.(Our return ferry was scheduled on 12:05 am, but we still got a ride). Everything worked well - WiFi, air conditioner,fridge. Fresh towels every day. The room has a small safe where you can leave your valuables. The location is very close to Firostephanie shore, just a short walk up the hill, and there are many spots where you can watch a famous sunset without a crowd.Just FYI - they stopped offering a breakfast.

A nice small hotel on the edge of Thira

We (a couple with a two-year old) had a short two-night stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly indeed. The exceptional thing about the hotel is the free pickup service. We used it to get to the hotel from the airport and then to get on an early morning boat. Everything worked, room was nice with a cozy balcony including a narrow view to the sea. Not the caldera side, but nice nevertheless. A baby cot was arranged. When we needed to extend our stay, we were offered a room at another hotel owned by the same family not far away, and for the same great price.

The hotel's pool is very small, but excellent for a baby. The location of the hotel is reasonable, especially once you find out the narrow maze-like pedestrian streets which lead from the back door to Thira center. An option is also to walk also along the caldera rim almost all the way.

Very good hotel for the price

We stayed in anemomilos villa for just one night, and for the price we paid it was clean and had good air conditioning. The best part of our stay was the free airport transfer and they even gave us a lift to the port the next day as we departed for ios island the rest of our holiday! This was all worth it as the price of taxis would have been more expensive than the price we paid for one night.
However, we felt it was fine for one night but the location of the hotel wasn't in a great area and near to a main and busy road - therefore we would probably spend more money if we had wanted a longer stay in santorini. Furthermore, we felt that although adequate, the hotel staff weren't that welcoming and not very helpful. We would have liked a warmer welcome.

Hoping for a great place and not disappointed!!

We loved our stay at Anemomilos Villa. Coming from so far away we were depending on the many positive reviews that others had left and were not disappointed! Free shuttle from airport and back, lovely people, clean, pool was small(as described) but refreshing, good wifi every day. We were so happy with our accommodations that we are telling all our friends. The walk to the Caldera and Fira was 5-10 minutes so a wonderful, quiet location. You may find equal service and quality closer to the Caldera but it will be at an incredibly high price. This was the perfect choice for us.

I found the hotel, better then expected. The operators were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed / wanted. The rooms were clean and tidy, the whole place was clean and tidy. My son enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi. Easy walking distance to the town center as well as the bus stop for other areas that you may want to visit. We were close to the old port, for excursions from there. We were picked up at the Port, and as we were driving the owner / operator explained the layout of the city, as well as must sees.... I would definitely go back to the same place.

We stayed here for one day as we found ourselves needing somewhere to store our stuff, get some rest and take a shower. Our Ferry to Rhodes left at midnight so this place was perfect for our needs. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and the hotel is simple but comfortable. It's quite close to town and easily walkable.

We had a great stay here.
Free shuttle service to / from port & airport is such a great bonus.
Short 15 minute walk from Fira square.
Pool, sun loungers, tables and chairs all outside for your use.
Staff were so great helping to return something important i'd left behind.
I'd recommend this as a great, budget hotel option. Everything you need - great value.

This hotel provided all the minimum requirements for a comfortable short stay. I would recommend this hotel if you were going to be out of the hotel most of the day. It's reasonable to be in for short periods of time, not for a day in to relax as the room was small and the pool too.

There was a nice viewing deck and a short walk to the town square & markets.

The lady owner was very nice.

VERY GOOD VALUE FOR A MODEST PRICE

We- a retired, active and physically fit couple - were not looking for luxury- just a nice place to stay not too far from the city center. This little wellkept hotel- embedded in flowers, located in Firostefani had everything we needed: impeccably clean, room size moderate but sufficient, as was the equipment and OK beds. It had one nice terrace where the French type breakfast (not included in room price) was served by the friendly proprietress. Another terrace with sun-beds and a small pool- not used by us- looked quite OK. The location: a quiet area where also Santorinian people were living. All kinds of services, incl. various eating places and minimarkets very close. The hotel service was good and friendly. If you suffer from knee problems, don’t opt for the upper rooms. A minor negative thing: the shower space was very small. It was almost impossible to shower without splashing water all over. Lastly a FRIENDLY ADVICE : Tourism takes an extremely high toll on the water resources of Santorini. To change four towels and a bathroom mat EVERY DAY for people staying several days is a VERY UNNECESSARY WASTE of invaluble water & energy-resources. Switching to a “customer’s decision” practice for the towel-change (every 3-4 days normally), now prevailing as \"green hotel practice\" in most of the ordinary class hotels on mainland Europe, would be a good support for the future Santorini environment. And it will certainly reduce the bills for water and electricity for the owners!

Hard to find, where is it

I see all these other hotels that have the name of the place on the building like most places would have. Well I asked around and nobody knew where the place was/ or they told me about a place really far away. The funny thing was I was in that area I had been walking. The problem is the place does not have any signing up showing the name off the place. Atleast if I was a business I would have the name somewhere so people could see it.

Authentic Santorini Experience

We were a party of 5, my sister and I and my three daughters, all in their mid-20s. We arrived in 3 waves. Each of us was met and cared for throughout our stay by the most genuinely hospitable people you can imagine. I cannot overstate how wonderful the hotel staff was, especially Stavros. The hotel is a charming 10 minute walk from the center of Fira through a real neighborhood, making one feel very assimilated. Although we did not much use the kitchen and fridges, one could relax at the room, make a nice simple meal and enjoy the view of water and sky from the balcony of each room. The small pool and deck was quite adequate for such a small hotel, but might be more crowded in the summer heat (we were there in early May). But then there are beaches readily accessible by bus or cab from Fira. We had such a lovely time at this very well-located, simple, but stylish hotel, I cannot imagine staying anywhere else when I return to Santorini.

Walking distance to Fira Town

I love the location, it's not far from Fira Town and close to Firostefani, initially I didn't realise, then I figured out that if I use the back lane I can just cross to Firosefani, I even found a back alley that can walk down to Fira without have to walk on the main road. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and I am so glad that he came to picked me from the airport, else I won't be able to find the place in the dark.

Firstly the shuttle service they have is great, got too and from airport & to port upon departure.
Internet was terrible soooo slow & would often be out for hours, so was unable to do work & make my deadlines.
It is a bit of a walk from all the main attractions about 10-15 min walk but didn't bother me. The pool is very small & due to it having a spa like part u cant do laps as it would be too dangerous. One real lounge too layout for sun bit average.
As I read in other reviews before booking the lady at the front desk isn't the friendliest & quite un helpful.
I wouldn't stay at this place if I were to ever return to Santorini

great value

we booked this little hotel just before we arrive by boat. i called and they were happy to come pick us up which saves you from trouble and expensive taxis. The driver gave us all kind of details for the island. the location was very good right in the middle of thira and next to the bus stop to go everywhere. Cute little piscine-jakouji which we didnt find time to use unfortunately.

Value for money in an expensive area.

The hotel is actually in Firostefani, which is about 15 minute walk from Fira town, however this is not really a problem as the area is very quiet. The hotel is basic but everything works and the room was cleaned every day of a 14 day stay. The poor reviews of the Animomilos do not take into account that this is a very expensive area, so reasonably priced accommodation in this location is great to find. It is basic, but bear in mind you are not paying hundreds of euros per night. If you are after a quiet, clean, cool, reasonably priced place to stay, AND be near to the heart of the island, I recommend the Animomilos Whole-heartedly.

Nice Villa for couples

Have a good connection with other places. There is big parking spot right the next of the Villa. If you rent a car, you are on good place. I don't care that much for beach...
Not that close to central place as is told but with 10-15 min walk you can be there.
Villa Staff are great, always there for every question.

Walking distance to most places

Small hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are quite dated but comfortable, the shower was tiny however and there was nowhere to hang the showerhead. The hotel is about 20min walk (down from the hotel) to Fira's downtown. The bus stop to Oia is about 10min walk up from the hotel. If you walk up the path from the hotel and cross the main street there are some great restaurantson the street just behind the buildings, less busy/touristy and the best sunset spot in Santorini - way better than the crowded spot in Oia.

Good budget hotel

Met a nice group of Canadians on the terrace one evening, but the hotel was basicaly empty (2nd week in May).
The walk to Thira is longer than advertised by the hotel, however. Took the bus to the Akrotiri excavation site, it was not as interesting as I had expected as there were no artifacts or frescoes as they have been removed from the site. The weather was cold and rainy for the three days I was there and the water still to cold to go to the beaches. Thira (town) was just a mass of overpriced restaurants an souvenir trinket shops, oh and expensive jewelry stores. The churches were all locked, pity. The scenic views of the towns perched on the cliffs above the caldera however are superb.

Good value hotel

Anemomilos is a budget hotel but for what we paid, it was great value and not a bad location. Pool was pretty clean and there are restaurants right up the hill. Taverna Simos up the hill has excellent service.

Santorini in May

Whilst this was very reasonably priced, it was further away from the town than anticipated. We were met at the port by the owner, which is essential when arriving on Santorini. The main road link to town was very busy and noisy, but there were a couple of nearby reastaurants that served good food, in particular, Simons.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, but not an ideal location.

Great Vacation Hotel

A great Hotel. Clean rooms. Friendly and informed staff. I'd reccomend to anyone wanting a quiet hotel to stay at. A PC was provided for internet access (Hotel Lobby). Small Pool.(really enough to cool off and enjoy the evening.) About a 10 minute walk from city center. A van is available for pickup and return to the Port and airport (but you have to notify the hotel, either phone or email) A very good value for the cost.

nice place to stay

We were 2 couples arrived may 7th. It appeared that we were the only people staying there so we had the pool and sundeck to ourselves. There were 4 sunbeds on the deck and 2 by pool. Pool smaller than it looked on picture bit has some watet jets. Nreskfast 5euros and very nice eaten in outside area. Got picked up and dropped off to port and very friendly. Only thing against was it might be a bit crowded if full. Location good if you go up thr

The first thing I would like to warn is that there are two anemomilos villas. So if a Taxi is driving you there they might drop you off at the wrong one. The location is not where I thought it was on the map at all as it is listed on the website. It's not far from Fira's center, but map location is wrong - about a 10 minute walk there. The person at reception was nice and explained stuff to us once we got in. Having said that, our air conditioner was working off and on and the TV didn't work. We told them about it and they didn't make any effort to fix it or what not and ignored us. Security wasn't great and wasn't bad. It was reasonably clean. I would suggest this place for someone on a budget that wants a hotel to stay in.

Great hotel in a quite part of Fira

I really love this hotel's location and just a short 5 mins walk you can get to the main street that leads to the center of Fira. There shops, restaurants and churches so you would not be bored on this 15 mins walk. The views on your walk is amazing but the hotel has little ot no sea view because it faces the other side of the island. Great location and the price is right, I will be back.

Great budget hotel

The staff at this hotel was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms, though basic, were extremely clean. The pool was heavenly! Although the hotel is farther from Fira town square than their posting would lead you to believe, it is still closer than most hotels in this price range.

hotel standard and price ratio were ok. Th e description of the hotel as being close to Fira square is somewhat misleading- it took a good 20mins and more than 1km to get to the hotel from there. The other Anemovilas hotel run by the same management would have been closer.

you need a better address for this hotel. My taxi driver left me somewhere else saying it was this hotel. Other than that problem the stay was great.
