Absolutely amazing stay for our honeymoon. We loved everything about this hotel. The workers went above and beyond to make our stay even more special especially the male worker (forgot his name). Breakfast was amazing. Location was perfect away from the noise but within walking distance to restaurants. I did so much research before booking and I can gladly say this was the perfect location and hotel. Stunning views!

Unforgettable week at the Vasilicos

Great location, amazing views and excellent service. This hotel is a gem. Christos and. An essay made our stay memorable. We stayed at the Belvedere suite, which is very spacious and has an amazing terrace. You can just stay there all day and take in the amazing caldera views. Vasilicos is an easy 15-20 min downhill stroll to Fira and there is also plenty to do around. If you do not want to be among tourists all the time, it is a great spot. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Our stay in Santorini was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to this wonderful hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. Every single person we interacted with was warm, kind, and always ready to answer any questions with a smile. It’s rare to find a team that makes such a lasting impression, and the V-team truly did.

The hotel itself was beautifully maintained, so clean and peaceful, with stunning views of the sea and island that we never got tired of. You have a front seat to what probably is the best view from the island. There was a sense of calm and charm in every corner, and it was clear that a lot of thought and love goes into keeping the place so special.

One of our favorite little touches was a sweet cat named Summer who lives on the grounds. She added such a cozy, homey vibe; our daughter especially adored her. It’s small things like that, combined with the genuinely caring people and the breathtaking setting, that made this stay feel so personal and memorable.

We can’t wait to return someday. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip to Santorini so magical!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at The Vasilicos from July 16-20. We had never been to Santorini before, and our plan was to 'veg out' after a family cruise the week prior. We did not know what to expect, however we were completely amazed, not only at the views from the hotel, but at the exceptional service provided by everyone there. The location was prefect – away from the crowds in Fira (a short walk away) and Oia (a short drive away). From the moment we arrived, we were pampered by the very friendly staff and there was never a moment that we felt neglected or forgotten. They took care of transportation arrangements when we asked, our breakfast was served promptly when we requested it every morning, and they were happy to recommend wonderful restaurants no matter which town we were planning to visit. Both Dimitrios and Chris handled all our luggage delivery to and from our room without any effort and really took wonderful care of us. Their chef, Yannis, was exceptional in both his preparation and presentation of our meals, in particular the fabulous Caldera Candlelight dinner on their patio with an unobstructed view of a magnificent sunset. The rooms are well appointed, and the pool was just outside our door. It was truly a perfect holiday in a magical setting, and we would most definitely return to The Vasilicos without hesitation!!

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at the Vasilicos during our babymoon. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and they really treated us like family. The property was private since there was a monastery on the hill above (no tourists walking through your hotel area!) and it had a spectacular view of the caldera. If we ever have a chance to go back, I hope we can stay here again!

The Vasilicos was THE PERFECT STAY for our vacation in Greece. The location was perfect and the views were immaculate! We stayed in the Pergola suite and it was definitely 10/10! A Perfect Santorini Experience

Our stay at the Vasilicos was hands-down the best hotel experience we've ever had. Ever! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
From the moment we arrived, the manager Konstantina was friendly, attentive, and unbelievably welcoming. The actual hotel is very intimate with perfect, uninterrupted, and breathtaking views of the caldera over the immaculate swimming pool.
Mornings are glorious, sunsets are beyond words and the food is worth staying in for. The hotels' breakfast and diner chefs created some of the finest meals during our entire Greek vacation.
The waiters Kyrgiakos and Geoge are the definition of professionalism and the warmth and hospitality of the entire staff was truly amazing.
The hotel is located between Fira and Imerovigli which provides for a perfect location to easily walk to either town.
Our stay here was magical and we are already making plans to head back to the Vasilicos as soon as possible.

Literally not enough great things to say about this place, from the room design to the OUTSTANDING views to the INCREDIBLE breakfast. And let me just say, the queen of the castle (per se), manager extraordinaire, Fiorela is literally the most organized, detail-oriented and attentive that I have ever met. She and the rest of the staff will take time to painstakingly understand your needs on the trip, and make your stay seamless (both inside and outside of the hotel). Will stay here in future many many many times, I hope, and would recommend it to everyone!! Only warning: you may never want to step foot off the property once you check in, so be wary of too many other plans! Haha. Enjoy!

The view from our pool/terrace was phenomenal! We enjoyed the sunset and swimming in the heated pool. The staff is also what makes this property so special. Every morning they bring you a specially prepared breakfast to your terrace and refill coffee, etc. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is well located between Fira and Imerovigli. We mostly walked to Imerovigli for dinner. The king sized bed attracted me to the hotel at first, as it is hard to find in Greece and it was very comfortable. There were stairs of course, as it is on the caldera, but there were only 43 of them to reach the street level, as opposed to 200 stairs that I read about in some reviews of other properties. Totally manageable.

There are not enough good things to say about the Vasilicos. From the stunning views, to the refreshing pools, to the delicious morning breakfast and all the other little thoughtful touches. It was easily our favorite place we have stayed. What truly makes the experience, however, are the people and their welcoming kindness. Thank you for sharing your Santorini with us, Vasilicos! It’s a one of a kind experience in Santorini. If you enjoy boutique hotels with phenomenal personalized service, this is the spot. My partner and I walked the whole caldera and could not find a place that we thought we would stay instead. It offers privacy and one-of-a-kind views (especially sunset) unmatched in Imergovili. We highly recommend the Efta suite as it is the most private of the suites. The staff were nothing short of amazing and were there for anything that was needed no matter the time of day (we arrived at 2am in the morning and they were more than accommodating)! Their ultimate goal was your enjoyment/comfort and they exceeded that and then some. You honestly feel like an extension of their family as they treat you as such.

Excellent small boutique hotel. The hotel staff are all very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is in an ideal position less than 5 minutes walk from two nearby villages, both of which have several restaurants and shops. At the same time the hotel is very quiet and peaceful. Perfect for a relaxing holiday or honeymoon.

The staff members were warm and personable and the hotel was beautiful. We loved the amenities and the meals were so delicious! Even though it was raining for half of the time we were there, we still enjoyed the hotel and had a wonderful time. It was great to have free parking in a gated location and the awesome hike to Oia along the coast was 2 hrs. We enjoyed a candlelight dinner, as well as the massage service connected to them, which they arranged for us at extra cost. We suggest that the hotel place a sign at the bottom of the hill at the street directing guests to the location and requesting a correction on the google maps directions, as google maps is slightly off.

Vasilicos stay in Sept 2018

Our stay at the Vasilicos was perfect. The location was idea; far enough away from the crowded tourist area, but within walking distance of the restaurants and shops. The view from our room was incredible and we enjoyed dinner one night on our private veranda to watch the sunset over the caldera. The food (by the Vasilicos chef Yannis) was amazing and the service was exceptional. They also served breakfast every morning on the veranda. I highly recommend the Vasilicos.

Perfect Honeymoon!

My wife and I stayed at The Vasilicos for our honeymoon and everything was perfect. All the staff that we met (Dimitrios, Fiorela, Artemis, Yannis, Angelo, and everyone we met) were all very friendly and hospitable. We are wine lovers so we really enjoyed the Tour de Force menu prepared by Yannis with the exquisite wine pairing by Artemis.

We had a private terrace and pool which we enjoyed as much as we can. Location is great because it’s between Thíra and Imerovigli and also quiet. The villa resort is also a close walk to some fine dining too.

If we come back to Santorini, we would definitely come back here. Thank you for an amazing time at the Vasilicos!

This is the perfect place to stay on Santorini. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the cruise ships in Fira bu t close enough to walk to the main restaurants and shops in Imerovigli and Fira or a short drive to Oia.
The property itself is amazing. It was wide open views of the caldera , the sunset and the volcano. We stayed in the Daphne Senior Suite which slept 4. It is perfectly laid out for our family of 4 adults and we never felt crowded. There is a separate shower room, bathroom with sink and toilet along with a room with a sink and closets. The room is tastefully decorated and immaculately clean with a full length mirror, candles, refrigerator, safe, fully stocked mini bar. It looks exactly like the pictures of the inside of the cave that are on the Internet. This suite is right by the pool and has a large patio with a table, chairs and alcove seating along with 2 lounge chairs. Each morning a full breakfast is delivered to your patio on beautiful blue android white china at the time of your choosing. This was one of my favorite parts of the day- to open the doors of our cave room to the beautiful views and an elegant breakfast laid out waiting for us. Along with the breakfast of breads, fruit, yogurt, meats, cheeses, honeys, jams, the daily specialty, you could also order eggs.The Daphne Suite shares the pool area with two other rooms . Each has its own patio but is fully open to the pool so they are not very private.

What was supposed to be my husband and my 10 Year Wedding Anniversary trip turned into a Babymoon. I could not have asked for a better experience. The moment we arrived to Santorini Fiorela arranged for our private transport to hotel. It was seamless and George who handled was so sweet. Upon arrival, she greeted us and you could immediately tell the service would be personalized. The entire staff - total of 9 - are warm, accommodating and absolutely lovely in every way. Maria and Artemis who is also a sommelier were so attentive to our needs. Lazaros and Yanni are culinary stars. You must have the pancakes for breakfast. They are life changing. Aggelos, Ellen and Lyra ensure the place is spotless in every way.

As for recommendations on what to do, they coordinated the logistics and restaurants recommendations, too.

We are already trying to plan a return visit. It was the relaxation and customized service / experience we desperately needed.

Book this hotel before somebody else does

The Vasilicos is charming, beautiful, charismatic and unique.

1. The location: Private, tranquil and secluded. Close enough to the town but separate from the tourists. It was our own little world of escapism in an otherwise crowded and touristy destination. You're not jammed in a group of hotels on the cliff, you are virtually on your own at The Vasilicos.

2. The food: WOW. Just wow. Our only regret is that we did not eat more. I wouldn't bother booking dinner anywhere else.

3. The views: Uninterrupted and captivating. They are private and exclusive.

4. The suites: The rooms are elegant and styling is exceptional. We had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms - The Belvedere Suite and The Vasilicos. The Belvedere suite would be my preference out of the two but you cannot go wrong. Reason being is the privacy and location of this suite. You are almost set to the side away from everyone else, made to feel more exclusive. The décor of the Vasilicos Suite is divine and modern!

5. The service: The hospitality shown by the staff was world class. Little touches such as Fiorella recommending and booking us dinner, the waitress Artemis taking the time to show us how to make an espresso freddo, the other hospitality staff bringing us breakfast every day with a smile and the cleaner Edlira bringing me a flower each day, which was very gorgeous. Daphne, we appreciate your warmness in sharing the story of your family home.

Our hearts were heavy the day we had to leave!

Perfect hotel - with wonderful staff

The Vasilicos is a must visit hotel - you won't find anything nicer on the Caldera. It is not the most shiny or trendy hotel but its position and styling make it unique. It is very spacious compared to the other Caldera hotels and all of the rooms offer a good amount of privacy. The staff are fabulous - really friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble for them. Private dining on your terrace is something you must do while there as the experience is second to none. The food (which you arrange to your taste with the chef in advance) is delicious and the peace and tranquillity of the location is divine.

Amazing views, staff and room

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at this incredible boutique hotel. Limited to only seven private suites we chose the King Cat Jr Suite located right near the heated pool with our own loungers where we spent many idle hours mesmerised by the amazing sea and volcano views as well as the stunning sunset. Breakfast was served at our chosen time and personally delivered to our outdoor patio and what a spread it was.
The location was perfect - Nice and peaceful yet many restaurants only 5-10 min walk
All the staff were amazing. Just book it! You will not be disappointed

Perfect hotel in a perfect location.

Me and my husband just got back from Santorini a few days ago and wish we were still there. The Vasilicos is the best part of our holiday. We booked the Honeymoon suite so we had our own Jacuzzi which was great and always cleaned. Every morning we were served breakfast on our large terrace at the time we chose. The breakfast was yummy and always included a surprise dish on the side which changes daily. Our room was very clean and the cleaner came twice a day to change towels and keep it clean. The cleaners were very nice and always happy to help. We even got to choose which pillow we wanted. The views from the hotel were the best view you can have in the whole of Santorini as its location - Imerovigli is at the highest peak. People walking by would stop at the hotel gates to take pictures. It is located 15 minutes walk away from Fira and 15 minutes by car to Oia. We only went to Oia once as we had everything so close to us.

Laid back boutique hotel

This hotel is superb. The location is perfect, it's set almost midpoint on the west coast and has the towns of Oia and Fira within easy distance. Fira is within a comfortable walk and if timed right you will be able to sit in a cocktail bar and watch the sunset.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of the small town of Imerovigli which has all the facilities you will need including some really great restaurants, try LaMaison, but for truly intimate dining get Yannis, the chef at the hotel, to prepare you his personalised dinner served on your terrace.
The Vasilicos suite is pretty near perfect for lazy days sunbathing on the terrace which also provides the space for the jacuzzi and al fresco dining. Breakfast served on the terrace every morning is the only way to start the day.
Kostas, the hotel manager and all of the staff cannot be faulted for their efforts in making your holiday with them as good as it can possibly get. It is a place that we will return to.

Can't over-state how wonderful The Vasilicos is.
A truly boutique hotel that places a strong emphasis on a personalized and tailored experience. We were repeatedly told to please, please ask if there was anything we wanted. We consider ourselves fairly low maintenance so did not think we would really test The Vasilicos in this way but when I think back there were so many examples: From the initial email from Kostas offering a choice from a menu of 6 pillows! To organizing transfers to and from the hotel and being checked in early since we had arrived via the morning ferry from Crete. To having Kostas take us through a map of Santorini highlighting what to see and do then taking our feedback and making further recommendations and then booking the best tables at the most wonderful restaurants. To being offered mini ice creams during afternoons by the pool and being supplied with endless beach towels and a personalized dinner cooked by the wonderful Yiannis. All done with the minimum of fuss and ruthless efficiency; the team made it look easy and fun.
And I mustn't forget to mention the outstanding view and the endless peace and calm.
We couldn't have chosen better and wish everyone at The Vasilicos the best.

Amazing perfect and quiet! The views are a given... Yes. The cleanliness is beyond...
The room was huge (we stayed in Daphne-loved it!) The chefs tailored breakfast is perfect and delicious! With the added touch of a phone call to ask what time you would like breakfast which they bring to you outside your room. Maria! A beautiful soul, so helpful and kind. Made us feel so welcome despite us arriving at 1 am and gave us the best recommendations for food and sightseeing! I would recommend to everyone! Loved it!

The Vasilicos was absolutely stunning, in a great location, with incredibly friendly and warm staff. I had some of the best nights of sleep in the comfortable bed in the cosy cavelike (typical Cycladic) structure. We had a room that was just for a shower! I loved the products the used and the food was delicious.

Amazing, wouldn't stay anywhere else!

We stayed at The Vasilicos for 4 nights in June 2015 and absolutely loved it. All of the staff were very accommodating and professional and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend the dinner and breakfast options - all the food is homemade style and delicious. The view from the room and private spa is out of this world. It is high up on Imerovigli, probably the highest point of Santorini.

There is nothing like relaxing the spa which was the perfect temperature all day and night. Thank you very much to everyone at the hotel, we will definitely be back one day!
