We truly enjoyed our stay. The view is priceless. It has ruined me for other hotels that can't offer the beauty right outside your door. We were able to secure transportation to and from the airport through the hotel, which was actually really helpful and worth it. The rooms are simple, but comfortable. There are shops, restaurants, gelato shops, and so much more right next to the hotel. Fira is a 15 minute walk and totally worth strolling after 7, when it gets cooler in the evening.

This hotel has excellent location, close to a public parking lot and good restaurants. It has ocean view from a big balcony, perfect for taking pictures in morning and sunset. The hotel breakfast is the best. The walk from hotel to Fira or Imerovigli are very interesting with beautiful view from both ocean and the buildings.

The hotel is easily accessible from Firostefani's main square and with just a few steps from the road. The view is breathtaking over the caldera, Sakros rock, Imerovigli, and Fira. The staff are friendly and welcomimg. A really good and fresh breakfast is provided. It really sets you up for the day. My stay there was great.

The property is small. They have less than 10 rooms, so book well in advance. They have just one jacuzzi on the balcony to share among the guests. The balcony has wonderful views of the sea, the cruise ships and the Skaros Rock. I love the hotel location. It is quite from foot traffic but yet centrally located between Imerovigli and Fira. Fira is where we did most of the shopping and eating and that’s only 15-20 minutes of walk. Hotel serves breakfast every morning right there on the balcony so you can enjoy the amazing views. The staff are super friendly. Oh, just a few minutes walk from the hotel, our favorite restaurant was Vanilia with great views and best prices.

Amazing hotel with a very friendly staff. The manager Nek is very nice and available all the time. The view is just magical. We had the best sunset view from the jacuzzi.
The hotel is very accessible. A parking is right next to the entrance of the village. You have all the nice restaurants outside the hotel and still it is very quiet. We’ll definitely come back here. The area is great without feeling the crowd.

This place is a real gem! If you're looking for an amazing view, including a sunset view from your own room instead of an overcrowded spot in Oia, this is it! We had an incredible time at this location, which is conveniently situated right next to the center (within walking distance) and connected to a beautiful walking street filled with restaurants and cafes. It really doesn't get any better than this. This has to be one of our most memorable stays anywhere in the world, if not the most memorable. The friendly and helpful staff, the amenities including a hot tub, the lovely modern yet aesthetically pleasing room and bathroom interior, the spa bath, and the cute little breakfast spread—everything was just great! Highly recommended if you're in Santorini. Do not miss it if it's available.

Overall, it was a great stay; fantastic views/sunset to die for, clean, comfortable and functional room, and breakfast! minimalistic but nice enough to get us through the morning.
But I couldn't rate it Fantastic as there were two issues one of which was a health and safety issue; the pull out single bed had a sticking out metal bits on the bottom end. My son and I both bumped into it and got skins off the shin, which was very painful and unsightly for my shorts day. Disappointing! Another one was the toilet flush button was loose on the wall which caused inconvenience each time we had to go to the toilet

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at The Sunset Hotel in mid-May 2023. The view from the hotel verandah/balcony is utterly astounding. The best breakfast with a view ever! And the breakfast that is included is amazing in terms of quality and quantity - you won't need lunch! Usually I don't want to stay at the hotel - I want to get out and about. But the view at this hotel was so amazing it was hard to want to go anywhere else! The room was clean and comfortable and suited our needs and I would definitely choose Firostefani as the perfect location on Santorini rather than anywhere else. Easy walking distance to Thira but SO much quieter. Highly recommended.

We booked the hotel for 2 nights but unfortunately due to strike in Greece our flight delayed to the next day. We could only spend one night there. The hotel did not refund us for the night we did not stay. Very disappointed, that it was not our fault, but yet we had to pay. These things should have been considered by the hotel.

First the good things -
1) Wonderful housekeeping staff , very polite and accommodating. If it wasn’t for them I would have rated this place a 2

1) they told us toilet paper doesn’t work for our plumbing so clean and throw in the small trash can . This sounded filthy to us so we used water but there was no setup for that so we did bottles and filled from tub . Just crazy

4) useless lights from devices inside the room , could easily be covered up
5) no bar , no restaurant and no music to make a pleasurable experience sitting on patio
6) useless front office staff . Never picked up phone and no good advice on where to go and what to do .
7) no drinking water do we bought our own . Not that big of a deal since water is cheap in Greece .
8) same breakfast everday. Zero variety . Absolute zero variety and below average taste.

The folks at Sunset Hotel, especially Nic and Yiota, were amazingly kind and helpful-- they made great arrangements and suggestions for restaurants, tours and transportation. The property is spotless and meticulously maintained thanks to the couple that work the daytime shift. The view from the balcony and the room window was amazing, towards the sunset. The room was really pleasant and comfortable. It was eqquipped with an air-conditioner, a fridge, a television and a hair drier as well as a wardrobe. There was also a place to hang clothes right outside the room and the cleaning was exceptional. Only the wifi was a little unstable at times. The breakfast included was rich and filling, with considerable variety given the pandemic circumstances. The manager and staff were really helpfull and nice, willing and able to help with even specific coffee preferances for breakfast.

Great Stay in Santorini

Sunset Hotel was a great place to stay during our short trip to Santorini. Its location in Firostefani was quiet yet still within a 10-15 minute walk to bustling Fira. The room was spacious and comfortable. The caldera view from the outdoor shared veranda was great at sunset. Breakfast was a nice touch in the morning with personal service and plenty to fill you up. Very recommended!

Minus - One of the beds had two folding legs which were coming out of the bed were very dangerous and hazardous to anyone walk close to it. My leg is still hurting due to the bruises caused by it. This iron bed must be removed from the room. Also, the bathroom had a bad smell.

I chose this hotel for the unobstructed view of the Caldera, which we enjoyed from the windows of our room, the seating area outside our door, the shared patio area, and the breakfast area. The location was close to everything but very quiet. I cannot say enough about how great the staff were at the hotel. They were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The daily breakfast was amazing and kept us fed until dinner. We loved it there and would stay again if we were to return to Santorini.

Sunset Hotel. View, location, service.

The Sunset hotel is an amazing place to stay in Santorini. The view is beautiful, the staff is great and very helpful, our departing flight was late, they allowed us to stay in the room until 7 PM for free. My wife and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon. As one of the more affordable hotels on Santorini (with a view) this place was worth every single cent. You wake up to a view of the center of the coastline and caldera, you eat breakfast with a view, and you can relax in the hot tub with a view. Even better there’s plenty of excellent restaurants surrounding the hotel.

Additionally, all of the staff were patient and very kind, especially the housekeeping staff who also make your breakfast as you order it. Don’t underestimate how great your stay will be here. It’s worth it.

A Little Gem

Amazing location. High up so had clear views in each direction of the whole Cadera. Spectacular. Less steps than most . Very relaxed and relaxing atmosphere. Nik and his staff were very welcoming and helpful. We saw many hotels boasting ‘best location on the island’. Being nosey, we checked a few out. None were as good as this little gem. Would definitely return to Sunset Hotel

Perfect Stay

It was my first time in Fira, and the Sunset Hotel was the best place for me. It is minutes away from all the action, yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet, and the gorgeous view.

I think I'm mostly writing this review because of the hospitality of the staff. The staff were amazing and I witnessed them go above and beyond their guests, myself included.

Speaking of above and beyond... my advice for any traveler would be to not pack too many bags because the hotel doesn't have a bellhop [to carry your luggage from the main road to the hotel]. However, the woman at the desk (I forgot her name) was determined to help me carry my luggage. I am so grateful for her, especially because was so tiny and my suitcase probably weighed more than her.

Other than that, I love my room and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Definitely would recommend again.

when we entered, we have been given a smaller room while we booked the largest room and the receptionist tried to convince us that the smaller room was having more price. not a good experience.. the view is good and that's the only positive point about this hotel, then next day they offered our actual room and we had wasted our time for moving our stuff from one room to the room, we booked. it was really disappointing.

Outstanding staff and location...peaceful Mykonos

The hospitality of the staff was outstanding, as well as the comfort and location of the hotel. Plentiful breakfast...including gluten free bread :). We upgraded to a 3rd floor room with an outstanding view of the water and port, and spacious balcony. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Note: we rented a car one day to drive specifically to Panaramous beach, Ana Mera, Kalafatis beach. We added the drive to Agraria beach...bit of a narrow road, but beautiful views. We just walked everywhere the other days of our trip, including to Ornos beach and the new port at Tourlas as well as the maze in the city center, windmills, Little Venice. Excellent stay...even off season the end of March!

The location may be tricky to find, but nice hotel

The hotel was comfortable, small and cozy. There are signs for the hotel, but one of them was posted along with the hotel Mykos sign; I'm not sure if they mean the same thing, but it would be nice to have a big sign along the main road too. The staff was very friendly. One of them, Maria, I believe, speaks very little English but she has a very warm demeanor. Kostas was helpful and knowledgeable about the area as well. The view is spectacular from this location!

Beautiful sunset views

Booked this hotel since we planned to get car rental from airport and the hotel description listed free car park available. This was deceptive as it was a common car park about 30m away. Small signage among other hotels sign boards makes it difficult to find for first timers.

The hotel is like others facing the caldera. We came in December so maybe less facilities (e.g. jacuzzi) and service staff (we only met 1 staff throughout our stay who was the receptionist, cleaner and served breakfast)? Breakfast was decent with a hard boiled egg, Bread with butter and jam, Orange Juice, Coffee/Tea, Greek sweet dessert, Cheese and Ham.

The sunset views does justice to its name. Shops and restaurants nearby but all were closed in winter. It's just 10 minutes walk to Fira for restaurants and shops that are open (about 5% are open in winter). The lack of crowds is the attraction in winter but at the same time the archaeological site in Akrotiri is closed. However, it does make driving the narrow winding roads easier without the crowds.

The hotel room itself is pretty cramped for 3 persons. Not much storage space. Bathroom is also small. I guess the price is mostly for the view and you're not supposed to spend too much time in the room. Only thing really bad was the ventilation as there's condensation on the floor and walls due to the low temperature and it's worse in bathroom after showering.

Wifi speed seems decent enough and TV had the most English channels.

Holiday Vacation

Staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the hotel is on the second level, so be prepared to haul your luggages down the stairs. The room I stayed in is decent with an amazing view of the sea. The only problem I had with the room I stayed, had ants, mainly in the bathroom.

This hotel is cheap and exactly as advertised. Breakfast is just tost, butter, milk, coffee, orange juice, 6 slices of cheese and ham and 2 eggs. But who care about that, check out new restaurants every day, which is what matter most!
This hotel is just in the right place. The view is exactly as the picture shows. If you have questions about it, won't. It is cheap and perfect to visit Santorini.
Parking is not in the hotel but is less that half block. Everything else, is close: cable car, dunky ride, Fira, car rentals, restaurantes and view

Perfect Location

Excellent hotel in the perfect location. The room was small but very comfortable. Had everything you could need. The older gentleman at reception, that is there in the mornings, was extremely helpful. Lovely man. My only complaint was that the water pressure in the shower was almost non existent. Otherwise I would highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing!!

This hotel is small but excellent. Rooms were clean, the breakfast every morning was great and the view is amazing! The front desk guys were always very helpful with everything we needed. This area is a hop away from many restaurants, shops and the bus stop.
