We stayed in the Romantic Suite and it was outstanding. The most magnificent views you could imagine. The room was huge with a massive shower and a very comfy big bed. The breakfast supplied was amazing and to eat it on the balcony is a must.

The room was comfortable and the driver was friendly, but reaching the staff was difficult—calls often went unanswered, likely due to low season. Breakfast was simple (boiled egg, bread, jams, and good coffee). Overall, not a bad stay, and I’d recommend it mainly for its location.

We absolutely loved our stay here and were so sad to leave. The room is spotless with everything you need and a view to die for. Everyday we were given a delicious and plentiful breakfast which was brought to our room where we would enjoy it on our balcony. It’s within a short walking distance to shops and restaurants which was so convenient. Huge thank you to Christina and all the wonderful staff for your amazing service. Don’t hesitate to stay here if you visit Santorini.

my wife and I have traveled around the world and it’s not an exaggeration to say that we were blown away by our experience at Blue Dolphins.
The view from our balcony was more spectacular than any view we saw in Santorini. Service and accommodations were equal to a five star hotel. Highly highly recommend.

Santorini is steep, so be prepared to walk up and downhill, where ever you may be going!

Hotel and staff were lovely, but we requested our laundry be done, delivered our bag around 10am, and were told we would get our clothes back by 3pm, and we didn’t receive it until 9:45pm!

Great stay with a dream view—absolutely unreal and the highlight of our trip. We booked the Caldera Suite with in-room hot jacuzzi and loved the spacious, unique room. The balcony had a great setup with a table and lounge chair—perfect for relaxing.

We traveled with our 1-year-old, and the staff were so accommodating, providing a baby bed and high chair. They also welcomed us with a meal and coffees, arranged transfers, and allowed early check-in, which made everything so smooth.

It’s about a 15-minute walk to Fira; not many restaurants right nearby, but a few options plus shops and a mini market. Breakfast isn’t included but was nice to try one morning (€10–15/person).

Overall, a unique stay with outstanding service and an unforgettable view!

This property was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One downside is there is no restaurant or other dining facilities on property. There were, however, a number of places in close walking proximity.

The only \"problem\" I had with the hotel was access to the Reception check-in area was down too many steps and so access to and from the room with the bags was extremely difficult. It's best to travel light when staying there.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this property to others.

Blue Dolphins Apartments & Suites is the perfect place to stay when visiting Santorini. We stayed in the \"honeymoon suite\" with the hot tub on the balcony overlooking the caldera and it was gorgeous. My adult children stayed in the \"Cave House\" and they loved it. The views were amazing and the location is perfect. There are so many dining options within walking distance and the breakfast provided by the hotel was delicious. The staff is very kind, helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay there perfect. I read a lot of comments in the reviews about the many stairs within the hotel and I was surprised when I arrived that the stairs are even mentioned at all. Yes, there are many stairs but there is a narrow ramp next to the stairs that is the perfect size to accommodate rolling your suitcase on, freeing you up from having to carry your luggage. Some of the rooms do not require you walking down any stairs to access them. My advice is to have one member of your party walk empty handed to the reception area to check in and receive your room key and location, possibly avoiding moving luggage down any stairs. And frankly, if you or anyone in your party can not manage a lot of stairs then Santorini might not be the best destination because the many stairs are not restricted to this hotel, they are everywhere on Santorini. We rented a car and there was always a free parking spot by the hotel. Overall I think this hotel is a 5 star hotel.

Not a customer or budget friendly facility

The room smelled really bad like backed up sewage. We requested an alternate room and we were told they didn't have any. However when we called hotels.com and complained, the facility magically found another room. Also it claims we can see sunset, but there is a facility right infront that blocks the view so cant really see any sunset. We had requested info regarding stairs in the facility. we were told there were able 10 stairs, which turned out way more than that.

I had such a lovely stay at Blue Dolphins! The romantic suite was beautiful, and had a such an amazing view of the sunset every night from my balcony! The room itself was nicely set up and clean. Christina was so helpful in answering my questions and providing support when needed, along with recommending some eateries nearby. My only feedback is that the breakfast could be better, given that it costs an additional $15 per day. But do appreciate the breakfast being delivered and picked up from my room. I will definitely be staying here again and recommend to others!

Refused Refund/Credit for Earthquake

For weeks before and after our scheduled stay at Santorini, there were thousands of mini earthquakes around Santorini...ranging up to 5.8.
There were travel advisories against visiting island and locals and tourists were vacating the island as precautions.
Eventually a state of emergency was announced for Santorini.

We requested a cancellation of our stay at Blue Dolphins due to the earthquake activities....but, however were not allowed refund or credit due to earthquakes.

We stayed in the cave room. It had incredible views from the private patio. But there is no view from the room. We thought it would have a small view from the windows on the front doors, but those only look out to an enclosed patio. We spent most of the daytime on the patio, but it’s something to keep in mind if there during bad weather. The cave was a fun experience but smelled musty. It was super quiet because of the off season. I only saw 5-10 people near the hotel in 2 days! Beautiful walk to Fira. The breakfast was delicious, and they supplied gluten free breads and cookies. We arrived at 7pm and were surprised to see reception closed at 6pm. There was a note on the door for directions to the room, but it would have been nice if this were communicated before. Easy parking near the hotel. Overall we loved our time here.

We loved this hotel! Amazing views from inside and out. Lots of stairs so not for you if you have mobility issues but we thought it was so special to be perched up on high overlooking the town. It would have been amazing with a pool but you can’t have everything! Great service and a delicious breakfast brought to your room was the highlight for our kids

We stayed in the honeymoon suite and the views were incredible from our terrace! The hot tub was perfect for the cold Winter Santorini days and the room was clean and comfortable. Free parking is available and it is an easy walk down to Fira. Just remember it's an uphill walk from Fira to Firostefani. Note the terrace isn't exactly private as other rooms and the main common area can look up/down onto the terrace, but we had a great stay nonetheless!

Everyone at Blue Dolphin was so friendly and welcoming. We were traveling with small children, so we loved that they had available parking, and the rooms were easy to get to. Part of our view was blocked by a building in front of our room, but the balcony was beautiful and had a great view of the cliffside (exactly as pictured on the website). The room was spacious and comfortable; a perfect fit for a family of four. It was also easy to walk to everything we needed. We loved our stay!

Blue Dolphin apartments are beautiful. I loved all of the curvy lines and the room was excellent. The staff are super helpful and I really enjoyed my stay with the exception of the construction, which included a jack hammer, at 7 am. They explained that they have deadlines to get the construction done by a certain time so it made sense, but it might be good to offer a discount if you are going to have to put up with constant noise all day. It is so lovely though and completely perfect in every other way so I would still stay again noise and all.

Stayed 2 nights in this property - it is at the edge town of Firostefani which is sandwich between Thera and Imerovigli.

The hotel (like many of the hotels in Santorini requires one to walk down/up the flag of stairs but as isn't too far from the main street thus it wasn't too much of a hike.

Should one have big luggage, recommend to ring them up to assist the bag or only bring small bags during your stay here

This should be more than a 2-star hotel. Beautiful view, friendly and helpful staff. We chose to have a caldera view and it was truly stunning and worth the upgrade. It's a great location -- walking distance to a strip of shops and restaurants. The hotel allowed us to keep our luggage there for the day after checkout, and even provided access to a common area to shower/change clothes before heading to the airport. Only downside is no pool, but they offer access at their sister property in another town. We loved our stay!

Great communication from the hotel, they looked after us during our stay. They gave us plenty of suggestions for things to do, allowed us to have a late checkout and arranged a port transfer for us.

The hotel is around a 15 minute walk from the town, the walk to Oia and back was around 6 hours with a stop for lunch.

Cave Suite Adventure

Our cave suite was gorgeous and very roomy. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked. We just had to keep it on during the day and turn off at night. The balcony view is amazing, especially during sunrise.

As for the location, it isn't in a touristy thoroughfare so it's fairly private and quiet for the most part. It is somewhat of a tradeoff for being a few hundred feet away from the first line of shops. Most of the popular attractions are in Fira so to get a whole experience of the town is a bit of a trek since the property is on the less populous end. The good thing is that it's also sandwiched between another town, Imerovigli. It's quieter and less visited than Fira.

Our breakfast was great. We definitely love the Greek yogurt and honey combination. I did wonder though why our food wasn't delivered to us but handed from the stairs to the balcony. All the other guests' breakfast trays were handed to them by the door.

As for parking, it is a general consensus island-wide that free parking is available in sporadic locations throughout the towns so as not to take up residents' parking spots. Ours was a three hundred feet away so it wasn't too bad.

I also like how I was able to contact the hotel for anything, like hotel transfer to another hotel, taxi, etc.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay that I can easily recommend.

The Blue Dolphins is exactly as advertise. Our Room #104 was called the \"Romantic Suite\" and it was very spacious and clean. We stayed in that Room for (12) nights and never regretted a single night. The Staff are super friendly and do their best to make your stay rewarding. We are on a Keto Diet which the Staff was very willing to accommodate for our delicious morning full (not Continental) breakfast. The Blue Dolphin also has a sister Resort called the Grand View which you can visit for (10) euros which I highly encourage you to do so. The Grand View has a very nice Ocean Front Pool with a Pool Side Bar (and surprising good food) and the Staff are just as friendly. My wife and I would definitely stay at the Blue Dolphin again.

My husband and I stayed here recently for three night and we’re so happy we found this gem of a hotel! The room was enormous with two bathrooms with running hot water. It was air conditioned and the staff was super friendly. We opted to pay for the breakfast and it was delicious with assorted breads, eggs, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and jam every morning! The reason we chose this hotel was definitely for the views. You get the idyllic white buildings so close and an amazing view of the caldera. We did book the room with the private terrace and it turned out great. We ate breakfast every morning with our stunning view and laid on the bed drinking wine with the perfect view. The public terrace is also great if you don’t have the option to book the private one. The hotel does not have a pool but we were absolutely okay with that. From other reviews on Expedia, they can take you to their sister hotel that does have a pool. A lot of amazing restaurants nearby and if you walk 15 minutes along the side of the rode will be Fira and Thera, even more great restaurants. We also paid for transport to and from the ferry for a few! Please note: the rooms are not modern looking at all, but for us this wasn’t an issue. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Santorini that isn’t overly priced like Oia!

Great views and accomodating staff. Street parking is a problem / not available (like everywhere else in Santorini). The hotel is 20-30 step below street level and there is no help with moving luggage.

Amazing view from veranda

Great view from the shared veranda! Though our room (101) the WiFi got very slow once inside, you had to go out to the veranda to get better signal. Helpful staff who helped us booking a car, and the pool at their sister hotel was great too.

AMAZING STAFF AND OWNER

The most amazing hotel with the nicest owner and staff. Very courteous. The hotel is in a great location with amazing views from each window. We booked 3 rooms and all 3 were equally nice. The owner made us a terrific breakfast, gave us a botel of wine when we departed and even drove us to the port. One of the best stays ever.

Nice place but the balcony did not have a view.

This place was very nice. The apartment was clean and the AC worked well and they gave us beach towels. The picture on the room was not from the balcony of the room. The room balcony had the view of another building. It was advertised at a caldera view. We had to go to the common terrace to see the volcano, I specifically booked this location for the cliff views and there were none from the room balcony. There also wasn't a bottle opener and the refrigerator wasnt working so we couldnt keep any drinks cold. There are alot of steps at the property and all around Santorini. You need to be in decent shape to make it back and forth to Fira without a car.

Magnifique vue sur la caldeira

Petite structure qui permet de ne croiser que peu de monde. La terrasse qui est le seul espace commun offre une vue incroyable sur la caldeira; l’endroit y est en plus très calme et y prendre son petit-déjeuner est un moment vraiment très agréable.
Le personnel est très aimable et accueillant, très réactif à toute demande.

Staff was very good, friendly and helpful. Breakfast and patio also very good. Location was satisfactory albeit a distance to walk to center of Fira. Buses do not stop at Fiorstephani this time of year....passengers get on and are dropped off at bus stop in Fira.

The location is minutes away from Fira and all it's amenities including the main bus station of the island. As well as dozens of restaurants and hundreds of shops.
The caldera view from the room was spectacular! The room and staff were great and the breakfast was delicious!

Delightful view over the cauldron and Fira- Firostefanl Many steps down from road, not uncommon for Santorini. Just a tune-up for our many beautiful steep walks to towns and volcano! Fun!
