Breathtakingly beautiful views of the Mediterranean, island and sunset. Our room was clean and spacious, but the best part was the balcony. Breakfast was brought to us there and it was a great way to start the day. The views from the infinity pool were amazing. The staff was wonderful and we enjoyed talking with them. We loved our stay here!

Highly recommend this place in an excellent location. There’s one big sidewalk that connects Fira, Firastafano, to Imorgil, it’s like one, but you’re just slightly detached from fira to have a little bit more peace Perfect location I went with my sister we could’ve sat on the patio with the view. We had eating every morning lunch and dinner. It was so fantastic. Shout out to Spiros at the reception, best service ever , and so friendly and polite.

One of the most beautiful hotels!

Staying at Homeric Poems was an absolute dream. The views alone are worth the trip pictures simply cannot capture the beauty of the caldera and the most breathtaking sunsets we’ve ever seen. The location right on the cliffs is perfect, offering an unforgettable setting from morning to night.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. They were warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating offering excellent restaurant recommendations, arranging the smoothest transfer from the port, and even setting up taxi rides between Oia and the hotel. Every detail was thought of.

Breakfast each morning was a highlight the attention to detail was beyond anything we’ve experienced, and it set the tone for each perfect day.

From start to finish, everything was flawless. If you’re looking for the best spot to stay in Santorini, you simply cannot go wrong booking Homeric Poems. Truly perfection in every sense.

We stayed in a sea view cave suite that comfortably accommodated our family of four. The location is excellent - short walking distance to the taxi pickup/dropoff area, overlooking the caldera with a beautiful view of the sunset. The cave suites are only a single flight of stairs down from the road. Breakfast is served directly in the room and you can enjoy it outside with a view of the sea. The staff is exceptional and very accommodating - the best we encountered throughout our stays in Greece. Highly recommended!

Everything about Homeric poems was magical and top notch! We phoned ahead with our arrival date and time…a porter was waiting to gather our luggage and bring us to this lovely boutique hotel. We were greeted with smiles by everyone and a surprise upgrade to our room. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully appointed. We ended up with a plunge pool and hot tub on our deck, with a table for coffee and breakfast in the morning and wine with a view at night… including two sunbathing loungers. The view couldn’t be more perfect!! With the caldera at your feet, shops and restaurants within a short walk and quintessential Santorini style all around it was nothing short of perfect. The breakfast that is personally delivered to you your room was incredible!! By far the best feta and Greek yogurt I’ve ever had.
Without a doubt we will be returning. With so many establishments to choose from I am so incredibly happy I landed on Homeric Poems! Looking forward to when we will return!

We just left this beautiful hotel and had a fabulous time. The hotel itself and views are stunning. What made our stay so special was the friendly attentive staff. They always had a smile and were quick to help with your every need. The staff at the pool and restaurant bar went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable. The front desk was also always ready to help with any questions and requests that we had. We highly recommend staying here. The location was perfect to walk to many restaurants and shops. Breathtaking is an understatement!

From the moment we landed to our drop off at the airport…absolutely spectacular service! We stayed in the Grand Suite and I couldn’t have dreamt up a more beautiful room. Everything was thought out from the design, the layout, privacy, amenities….I have stayed at 5+ star resorts around the world and this would be a 9 star! From beautiful and extremely tasty breakfast on our patio to amazing drinks and food….top notch. We had our own private pool and hot tub and if you are looking for romance this is definitely the room. I wanted to save the best for last and that is the view and the sunsets. Of all places I have watched the sunset in Santorini this was by far the best view. My eyes are still smiling from the breathtaking views of the caldera!!! We will be back!!!

The breakfast with a view from the balcony area was great! The location is perfect, not close to the chaos but walkable along the coast with a great view. 10-15 min walk to the busy area. Homeric Dreams is an excellent choice. I have planned 4 european trips for husband & myself and I overlooked things for this trip that the hotel did not. We arrived via transfer which I booked through the hotel itself, which was more expensive than booking your own taxi, but they handled everything. We arrived and a porter was at our car to grab all of our bags and take them to a secured room (arrived 8am, checkin is 3pm). He had a luggage dolly & some ropes to efficiently move bags to their destination. We absolutely could not have walked these bags to the hotel and I was totally unaware of this despite reading the entire Rick Steves book on Greece; lugging around our bags on extremely irregular mixed composition ground after traveling would have been a horrible way to start the Santorini visit. After we did the Oia Hike we were back to check in & our luggage appeared at our room, we didn’t have to ask or fret about it in any way. Our room was 5 flights of stairs down & they didnt have any special dolly for this. The room was really cool, had the whole Santorini cave house vibe going & was visually appealing. Breakfast incl. in the booking is full on room service style (within a selection) which you order via phone call the day prior. Our experience leaving the hotel was the same as we arrived - they make complicated simple. They know what they’re doing & how to help you have the best trip possible. As for location, it’s a ~6min walk to Fira. I enjoyed not being in busy Fira

The hotel is clean, beautiful, and has a great location to everything in Santorini. The hotel has the best staff who make you feel like their favorite family member. They went above and beyond to make our stay special and to accommodate our every request. From the welcome beverage and meal, to tracking down my lost luggage, to making recommendations, to scheduling messages, to breakfast on the patio, to the amazing drinks, the staff did it all! We hated to say goodbye to this hotel and to beautiful staff at Homeric Poems. To the Owner and General Manager of the hotel, please give your employees raises and bonuses because they are the heart of this hotel and make it truly special. I need to thank everyone for for making our 25th Anniversary the best, so thank you: Theoni, Elias, Stefanos and Spyros at reception for accommodating all of our requests with perfection. Homeric Poems blew me away with their incredible staff, and the most stunning views of the caldera from my terrace and pool. Nestled in nearby Firostefani within 10-15 min from centre of busy Fira but quiet and private at night. Best of both worlds!

I chose the hotel because of the great reviews and that incredible pool overlooking the caldera. Catching sunset from the pool area every night and cooling off during hot days. Had a fantastic stay and hope to return. The staff and warm service makes Homeric Poems special. From the front desk esp Stefanos and Spyros to the waiters bringing breakfast or at the restaurant, service was welcoming and warm. They exceeded every expectation and graciously handled requests and made my stay in Santorini including transfers so easy. Kind, gracious and always helpful. I could not have asked for a better first trip to Santorini.

From the moment I arrived at this property, I knew I was in for an experience of a lifetime. The property itself was flawless. The staff was highly personable and their attention to detail was impressive. The views of the caldera were unattainable anywhere else but here. The sunsets were that of Picasso. The service and kindness of all the employees was definitely the best part of this hotel! It was absolutely excellent. The location is great, close walk to everything you need - but in a quieter area than the center of Fira. The views are also beautiful, as seems to be the case around majority of the island! The room itself was okay, clean - but our particular room was loft style and was not warm or cozy. The stairs to get to the bedroom portion were not the most comfortable to go up and down. Also the living room area could use a couch instead of a daybed for two people to actually hangout. Overall, had a great stay though.

Two simple words, just outstanding! My husband and I stayed 5 nights towards the end of April. We were up-graded to a larger room upon check-in and the view was stunning! The room was exactly as pictured. Definitely the Cycladean design with white walls and a rounded ceiling with a small patio accessible from the bedroom and a porch by the front door. The location of the hotel is in the town of Firostefani, which borders Fira, the capital. Both towns are situated in the middle of the of the caldera. This provides a panoramic view of both ends of the island, which we personally thought was the best view on the island. But above all, it was the superb service we received from the hotel employees. It was the details, that impressed us the most. Daily checks from the maid services to make sure we had plenty of supplies and to clean our rooms, breakfast delivered in a very timely manner to our patio, exactly on time and never late or cold, and the wonderful bar staff who waited on us at poolside. Lastly, kudos to a fantastic front desk, especially Thios ( I hope I got her name spelled correctly ), she was so helpful and sincere! She arranged taxis, booked a phenomenal catamaran tour, recommended restaurants and took time to help me with my pronunciation of some Greek words. She truly made our trip one of those once-in-a-lifetime vacations!!

Homeric Poems is a very great place to stay. The staff are very approachable and helpful with directions and tips. A couple of staff met us at the drop off point. One carried our bags all the way to our room while the other gave us an overview of the island. It is probably a flight of 3 stairs to get to our room so going up to the street will be a challenge for those with knee issues. But the view from our room is spectacular. We can see the crater and nearby town Imerovigli. Breakfast is served at the veranda facing the sea. Fira town where most of the shopping and dining places are is only a few minutes walk and mostly downhill. We visited Oia which is like an upscale Fira. I recommend dinner at Ammoudi.

The only place to stay in Santorini!

This boutique 5 star hotel was an unforgettable experience. It felt like our own private resort. The rooms were beautiful and the perfect location to watch the sunset without the crowds on the island. The location of the hotel was fantastic - a 5 minute walk to Fira but outside of the hustle and bustle if you want some peaceful moments. There are also good restaurants nearby. Watching the sunset from the infinity pool was an unforgettable experience and the onsite restaurant which is for guests only provided some of our favourite meals while in Greece.
The staff were exceptional - particularly Spyros and Stefanos who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and enjoyable!!
You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here, and if we return to Santorini we would not stay anywhere else!

What a beautiful hotel!! Staying with the Homeric theme, all the rooms/suites are named for Homer’s characters. We stayed in the “Helen” room and had a beautiful room of the Caldera. We were served breakfast every morning by the friendly staff - everyone was charming! My only caution is that there are many many stairs to negotiate. The stairs to our room numbered 105. (Yes, you read that correctly.) We are 70 and were able to climb them but not without taking a breather on the way up. But, so worth the effort! I think it helped to work off all the delicious food we ate in Greece!

What an amazing time we had at Homeric Poems! The views are breath-taking and the food was scrumptious. Every morning we'd have full breakfast on our private patio and just laugh at the beauty of the whole experience! The pool was luxurious and the staff were friendly, attentive and spoke excellent English. My wife fell sick during our stay, but the staff were so caring and helpful, they really made us feel like family. In spite of this wrinkle, we had a fabulous time in Santorini and the next time we come here (and we will be back!) we will definitely stay at Homeric Poems again.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. My husband and I have traveled all over the world the 14 years we’ve been married. We’ve been to the Caribbean over 30 times, Bora-Bora twice just to name a few. This was our first time to Greece and we stayed 9 nights Santorini. We stayed at the Homeric Poems the entire time and let me just say it did not disappoint. Everyone there was so friendly, helpful and always happy to be there. The property was immaculate, cozy and in our opinion the best location on the island. It was in the middle of everything in walking distance to many many amazing restaurants. I want to give a shout out to the manager Stefanos for making our anniversary trip one of a lifetime. Our favorite bartender Nic Who truly has a passion for making quality and beautiful cocktails. He put a finishing touch on them that we’ve never seen in the United States or on any vacation. Andres, he was the guy that helped us with our bags and he is one of the hardest working people I have ever seen in my life. We got to know the whole area and everyone treated us like family, even the local restaurants. If it wasn’t for traveling over 6000 miles to get there, we would visit just as much as we do the Caribbean. Thank you all again so much for an incredible time and I can’t forget to say thank you to Gabriel for bringing us ice every day and every night. Thank you again for an incredible vacation. Much love to all of you and we will see you again.

Brilliant in every way

So impressed with every aspect of our stay. I travel alot and dont give out great reviews regularly but Homeric Poems delivered on every level. Every member of staff was super friendly, helpful and accomodating. We had a Cave suite with a double bed and a double sofa bed, the best view in Santorini right outside our room. Lovely pool, breakfast brought to your room every morning. In summary if your looking for a Santorini hotel thats not tooo expensive you will not go wrong here!

Property and staff was amazing. It's views are also great because you are on the bottom side of the cliff. You can't beat the breakfast you order every morning with large portions included in your stay. The staff will set up anything for you that you're looking to do or need including transportation.

Had a wonderful stay at Homeric Poems, Firostefani. The staff were incredible, providing excellent service and making us feel comfortable right away! The room, food and pool were wonderful. The location and unobstructed sunset view was amazing. Much appreciate exceptional service from Spyros who went all the way to return us our lost item, the cheerful Stefanos who provided us with valuable advice and assistance, and the tireless porters at the hotel. This was our best stay in different hotels in Santorini, and leaves pleasant memories!

Wow we absolutely loved our four night stay at Homeric Poems and will for sure be back in the future! The staff was so accommodating, the views were spectacular (the sunset is unreal), and the room/breakfast on the balcony were the cherry on top. Don’t hesitate booking here!!

Amazing view. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great cocktails by the pool. Could not fault the service, from the transfer, to carrying luggage up and down the stairs, breakfast set up at our outdoor patio and cleaning of the room.
Only advice if you are traveling there are no lifts and have to walk up and down stairs to get to rooms, pool and bar area. I would assume this would be the case for most of the accommodation on the caldera.
I would therefore ask for a room closer to reception so you don’t have to navigate as many stairs if you have any knee issues etc. thira is a 10 minute walk away along a pedestrian path but there are also restaurants, cafe and retail shops close by if you don’t feel like walking into Thira.
