Love the breathtaking seaview we receive when we step out of the room. Relaxing and tranquil feeling as we sit on deck chairs enjoying the sun on our face. The room was small but comfortable. The staff were friendly and helped with our luggage as there were many stairs. Found parking nearby. Conveniently located near Fira, we appreciated it is a quieter area. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. It would be nice to have more amenities provided in the room eg tissue paper, toothbrush sets. Bathroom was tight in terms of space.

Cliff Side Suites have some of the best views in Santorini. They are located in a quieter area so the walkways don't get as crowded as they do lower on the mountain.

The beds are very comfortable and our suite was quite spacious. We had a shared balcony but never saw our neighbors. There is so much to do here; sharing a balcony shouldn't be a concern. And the views from our balcony were stunning. We had a sunset photo trip planned but we cancelled it since our balcony was probably as beautiful plus no crowds.

As with virtually all accommodations on the caldera there are a lot of stairs. This is the price we pay for the view. Visitors with mobility challenges shouldn't stay on the caldera. More conventional hotels downtown would be a much better option.

Also, let the guys from the hotel carry your bags from the taxi drop off location. Just call ahead and they will meet you. It makes finding the hotel easier and it will save you a lot of work wrestling roller bags over cobblestones and carrying them down stairs. We tip 5 euros (total) going down and 10 euros going up.
They sure earn it but tipping is not required.
Finally, the staff was wonderful. The Greeks take hospitality very seriously and everyone at Cliff Side Suites made sure we had the best experience possible. If we come back to Santorini we absolutely plan to stay at The Cliffside Suites again.

Stunning location and apartment

The apartment was amazing. Location was stunning. We visited the main tourist spots while in Santorini and the apartment location was by far our favourite place - stunning views, room service with delicious food and cocktails. We hope to be back, worth the money.

VERY much enjoyed our stay at Cliff Side Suites. Staff was excellent, friendly and super helpful (I.e. getting to airport). Cleaning staff was pleasant and did a great job w/the rooms. Pool staff was friendly and super helpful with drinks, towel and breakfast. There are so many hotel options in Santorini island and we would return to this hotel. Not perfect but hey that is typical of buildings in Greece :).

The hotel is overrated, good view bad service

We booked for a superior double room but the room and service we got was not up to expectation.
We checked in early and we expected that the room was not ready and willing to come back later. The lady at the reception asked us to waited for one hour and check again, we came back and was told the room was ready but the room was a mess. The lady wolfed the house-keeping lady in front of us which is not appropriate and comfortable experience for guests coming for vacation. They asked us to wait for another 20 mins at the hotel.
The room was smaller than we expected and the facilities listed on hotels.com was not accurate at all. The tv in the room was something like a monitor screen (totally not 36 inch flat screen) and they don’t provide slippers as well. WiFi connection was not good.
We just traveled from Oia and paid a room with similar price but the service we got was genuine and friendly there. The whole stay was a disappointment at Cliffside Hitel except for the nice view of the cliff.
I won’t come back again and would not recommend to any of my friends.

Clean spacious rooms with spectacular views. I came to this resort with a broken foot, and the staff were very understanding and accommodating. Lots of steps in this property, like everywhere with a Caldera view in Santorini, so if you have bone or joint problems, just be aware of that. We had wonderful views of the sunset right from our spacious porch and it was just wonderful to relax while taking in the amazing views. The breakfast buffet was wonderful but needs more meat options for folks who don’t eat pork (Muslims and Jews). Lots of good dinning options in the region. The property has an excellent view of the caldera. Most hotels that do are built along the cliff so have several flight of stairs you have to climb while navigating through the property. The hotel’s great staff carries your luggage up and down the stairs. It’s quite impressive. The hotel had complimentary breakfast - food was decent but little variation in options from day to day. When we arrived we were given a room that I referred to as a “hobbit hole”. It was tiny (doorway was even small for an average person), no windows other than the one on the door, and two twin beds. It was not what I believed we had booked (note- the room wasn’t bad, just wasn’t what I believe we paid for). When mentioned to the hotel team, they noted the room did fall within the category of a “Superior Double Room”. There was nothing superior about the room and I expected a double bed versus two twin beds. Regardless, the hotel upgraded our room the next night (other rooms weren’t available the first night) to resolve the issue. The hotel has limited amenities and the pool was an average smaller pool, nothing spectacular. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Fira making it very convenient for visiting Fira or using the bus system. Overall, they have a great team and I recommend the property.

Cliff Side suites did not disappoint! We were there for two nights and we had an amazing stay. We were placed in a room with two separate beds. When I rang reception, they quickly arranged a room for us. Amazing service! The pool is accessible for all guests but we had a jacuzzi outside our room which was just amazing in the day time (got a bit chilly by the evening)!

Location was brilliant with Fira only a 15 minute walk (there are lots of steps but this is to be expected everywhere in Santorini!).

The staff were more than happy to help in planning our hike to Oia and organise our taxi to the airport in the early hours of the morning.

Great stay! Can't thank the staff enough for their hospitality :)

just WOW! From the moment we arrived at Cliff Side we were completely looked after. The hotel manager couldn’t do enough to help us and really made a fantastic first impression, our room was beautiful and our balcony views were stunning, every single person working at Cliff Sides was a credit to the place, nothing was ever too much trouble and we really had one of the best stays here, highly recommend and we will definitely be returning! - Thank you Cliff Side you were incredible!!

This hotel was absolutely amazing! The view alone is worth the stay. However what made it a truely special place was the staff. They took care of me and my party so well. Vicky the cook made the best breakfast and was so friendly. Nicholas made the best cocktails on the island. Our room was always cleaned and restock when we got back for the day and the front desk staff were amazing in taking care of us. I highly recommend this hotel if you stay in Santorini.

From anywhere on the property you had an amazing view of the Caldera. the staff were very helpful and accommodating. I felt very safe at this location. there were also a few weddings while there which were fun to watch, with secluded area for party afterwards so not noisy. be prepared to go up and down steps though as the whole thing is literally built into the cliff.

Magnificent views of Santorini are synonymous with top nightly rates. Cliff Side suites definitely delivers when it comes to spectacular location and unforgettable sunsets. But don’t expect much else. Rooms were comfortable, albeit not memorable. Ditto for the service. When you are in the 600 EUR per night territory, attention to details in the services provided should be a given. The pool towels were rather faded and if I were the owner I would not be proud to be showcasing my hotel name embroidered on them. Breakfast service was, to put it mildly, basic. The buffet food presentation just disgraceful. Also, charging extra for a uneventful machine made cappuccino to guests who can afford such upscale prices is just offensive. Overall, I will not remember this property fondly and do not feel comfortable recommending it either.

Santorini is humid, said one shopkeeper in Oia. She was glad the season was over and she could go back to Athens for a few months. Expect clammy sheets. Also, this property has good rooms and unpleasant rooms, some actual caves built into the rock. Be sure to get a room with a private balcony. Then you feel like a king. Expect to climb lots of steps. This is a unique property, not for everybody, but if you get it right, it’s unforgettable.

The room is good and clean. The views are amazing and it has terraces for every room.
Bathroom does not have where to keep even a toothbrush.,or hand doap, which makes it uncomfortable and messy. Also, the sink did not drain well. Reported the problem to reception but was not fixed.

We loved Cliffside Suites! Everything from the view, to the rooms, to the staff. Our suite was very clean and spacious. There are a lot of steps, so if that's an issue be aware. The pool was very small, but we heard that they are going to redo the pool soon? They also own the Belvedere Hotel, so we went over to their pool for an afternoon. We met some very nice families and they had a very nice buffet breakfast.

I stayed here for 7 nights with my partner and what a delightful experience it was! Cliff side suites had absolutely amazing views of the sunset which was just what we were looking for, very close to Thira (city center) and lovely local restaurants. Staff were very friendly and happy to help out with any queries. Would definitely come back and stay again.

The staff are nice there. We got the room free upgraded since it's our anniversary. Some stairs need to climb back and forth but staff helped us with the luggage and t's the common point for cliff hotel anyway.

Cliffside is a beautiful hotel in the middle and f everything. The sunset view is amazing, the included breakfast was wonderful, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the room was very clean. We did have some trouble with the WiFi connecting inside the room and the pool is unheated and the hot tub was not on, but those gripes were small and not really an issue.

This hotel is mostly made from a series of small caves dug into the side of a cliff. A bit like a stylish hobbit-house room. The rooms are deep and fairly cosy with a white/ grey colour scheme and a window and door at the mouth of the cave. The best thing about this hotel is the view which is I think one of the best on the island. Caution for people who have trouble with steps though. There are quite a few and no lifts or disabled access.

The hotel was Ok. Just ok. No services, the pool small and secluded, not enough sun beds for everybody. The personnel was fine. 15 minute walk to Thira, Santorini's biggest town. The rooms were large like caves, but the bathroom really small.
The worst part was that we couldn't make for the four nights we reserved only 3 and they charged us the night anyway even though we sent an email advising we weren't going to get there on time. And we had 2 rooms!!! The Wi-fi was terrible. It didn't work inside the room.
The value of what we paid is not worth it. Definitely not staying here again.
And will complain about the night charged again and again.
The only good thing about this hotel was the marvelous view. (almost all hotels have this view)
Definitely not wonderful or excellent.

We had a fantastic time staying at the cliff side suites in firastefani. We're put up in a comfortable \"cave\" room, although we didn't get the private balcony, we got a wading pool in front of the room. The boys loved this! Also had a 10 stair walk to the balcony. Lucky for us as it was end season, we had some cooler weather and the people at reception were very helpful with everything. Would definitely recommend a stay here with family.

4 night stay in Santorini. I prefer the quieter location of fira stefani. Hotel location was perfected.
Rooms were awesome white cave like to match the whole Santorini cliff scene.
The views were amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Many good restaurants nearby by, along with mylos market by the top entrance where I must have visited 2x a day. Breakfast buffet was perfect. Small pool but more than adequate. Loved it! Only negative was hot tub not hot. That would have been nice after a day of walking. Remember, staying on the cliffs you will deal with lots of stairs.
