The place is the most picturesque place I've ever been. Post card views. It does take effort coming and going as it's about 100 steps down to the entrance. If you have a problem with that, stay away. About another 100 to our room....down. With that said the resort and views are to die for. Very pleasant staff. Thanks to the porters for taking care of the luggage up and down. Could provide more water since you can't drink from the tap.

Agali houses was a beautiful property and the staff was great! We had a stunning view of the ocean. Two things to note about the location; there was an extreme amount of stairs to get to the hotel and then depending on your room there may be more stairs. You also can’t flush toilet paper down the toilet due to the plumbing system on the island! On the last day we did notice a lot of ants but I am assuming this was due to the location because the hotel was very clean.
Overall if you can manage the stairs I highly recommend. The food was good and the pool was very relaxing.

Property is part way down the caldera with probably ~4 flights of stairs. Beautiful views, quiet and well cared for property. Lots of sun loungers to enjoy the caldera views! The layout of the bathroom is the only annoyance. Seems minor but you can’t fully open/close the bathroom door without standing in the shower. Also there’s no shower door so water splashing is an issue. Again, relatively minor but something to consider for the price.

Wonderful property in a beautiful area of Santorini with spectacular sunset views of the caldera. The staff were particularly helpful and kind when checking in and answering queries. The room was spacious and clean with a great veranda to sit out on. There are a rather lot of stairs to get down to the hotel from the main trail but don’t be put off, if you’re able bodied, it’s worth it! The only thing I can think of to improve would be an on sight bar / restaurant which is open for evening meals, however lunch by the pool was 5*. Would 100% return.

Pros - we had honeymoon suite so the views and privacy were incredible. The ac was a bit lacking in the master though. It worked well in the living area and where the sofa bed was.
The porters were super helpful and necessary.
Cons - there are many in light of all the properties avail in Santorini. It was 170 steps up to leave our room (over 10 flights every time.) I’m in shape but it was exhausting.
Service at pool was worst I’ve ever encountered. They were constantly out of things (vodka, beers…). Then time was taken to clean for over 45 mins when people were wanting drinks . Towels / empties were not removed timely.
This was our 4th spot in our Greece travels and the staff friendliness was lacking compared to Athens, Naxos and Milos.

I will be honest , I said goodbye to those stairs when I got up to street level - I’m proud that I could do it but it never got easier - the view from our room- spectacular, stunning, opulent and we felt blessed to be there. What we really needed though was a hot tub for our aching feet and legs from all our walking so we looked on longingly to the suites with hot tubs ! Lol - the staff worked so hard and were so kind and accommodating . We absolutely loved our stay here

An incredible property with one of the best hosts!! We had such an enjoyable experience and absolutely loved our modern and clean 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite with an enormous private balcony overlooking the caldera. Absolutely incredible views and this location was perfect! Cute shops/restaurants right nearby and then Fira is just a lovely 10 minute walk along the ridge away. Highly recommend this incredible hotel in Santorini!!

We had a great stay at Agali Houses. The staff were very nice and helpful, our room was clean and well kept every day. Only complaint of the room was the shower, might be time for an upgrade.
The views are unbeatable and we had a great time at the public pool. The bartender was great!
Agali Houses is super close to many great restaurants and very close to the main square to get taxi/shuttle pick ups.

The onsite breakfast was very good with many options and great service. The only negative were the 138 steps to our room. This was not really an issue for us, but not a great location for those with disabilities or medical conditions. I would definately stay here again.

We loved our stay here. Would definitely return. The management team (Vassiliki, Miltos, and Ria) were amazing. Leah and Christ really spoiled us. Even the porters were outstanding, and we needed them!

Lots of steps, but so worth it. The pool, the accommodations, but most of all the view!

We even had trouble with our departure and the Agali team stepped up to help us. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

I enjoyed this hotel, and the views were exceptional. The rooms were clean and airy, but the AC was a little far from the bedroom as we like a cool sleep. The pool area is very nice, and the hotel location is great. I would not however recommend this hotel to anybody elderly or unfit. There were almost 200 steps from our room (the lowest in the hotel) to the street. But if you are fit the views are worth it. Hats off to the porter who carried the luggage all the way down and more importantly back up. 3 bags, 100lbs all at once!!!!

Agali Houses is a wonderful little hotel, clean and comfortable, and meticulously maintained. (How do they keep all those white surfaces so clean???) The staff was wonderful, and the breakfasts excellent. The views are incredible, as it's further down the edge of the caldera than the other places, so you have a \"front row seat\" to view the amazing Aegeon sunsets. However there are a lot of stairs to descend and ascend from road, so you need to be reasonably fit. (Don't worry, they have someone to carry your luggage up and down.) Once you get back up top, there are a lot of restaurants and souvenir stores along a nice walking path. Just a fabulous place, and highly recommended!

We loved it here! Excellent location and better sunset views here than in oia. We loved the pool too. Each room is different. Easy to get a taxi. Excellent restaurants nearby. The food and drink by the pool are expensive and breakfast was not worth the cost.

Mill Suite is even nicer than depicted in pictures…2 beautiful balconies overlooking the Caldera. Very private, located at the very end of the property…no neighbors. Bathroom is modern, efficient. We appreciated our private hot tub at our specific room and thought our hotel room/patio was very private, considering other hotels around us.
The hotel is located just far enough away from the busy night life and was very quiet area.
We really appreciated the airport shuttle at our arrival and the shuttle to the Port at our departure (additional cost but was worth it).
We were certainly surprised that the hotel had a guy carry our luggage from the upper area down to the reception, and even into our hotel room. When we departed, even carried the luggage up the stairs to the shuttle again, cannot have thanked the hotel for doing this enough.
There is a bus stop very close that we also took advantage of and appreciated.
They were some excellent restaurants in the nearby area.
The only thing people should consider is, there are a lot of stairs to get to this hotel.

Breakfast was excellent with lots of options, They have amazing bell hops that work for thier tips, lugging your luggage down to your room and then back up when its time to leave. Lots of stairs to property, carried own bags, worst breakfast buffet of all the hotels I stayed at in Greece and yet it was the only one that wasn't included (charged 15E per person), not a great hot water situation for the showers but not sure if that's normal for Santorini

Really really great. Very good location just north of Fira so it’s quieter while still being walking distance. Rooms were very clean, the property it’s self was very clean. Rooms had a classic santorini feel to them with updated bathrooms. Staff was all friendly and helpful. Would recommend staying here, if we ever go back to santorini we will be staying here again.

Best view from the entire island was from our hotel room. Amazing location and view. Our room was large and nicely updated, and we had a great private balcony. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is the insane steps. I'm not exaggerating, if you are even the slightest bit concerned about stairs, this is not the property for you. My friend and I are relatively fit, and we were panting by the time we got to the top of the steps each day. The hotel is essentially built into the side of a cliff - worth it for the view, but ensure you are physically fit or you'll be regretting it each time you leave your room. Whatever they pay the man who carries the luggage, it's not enough - it's gotta be the hardest job in the world.

Our stay at Agali was incredible! The view from the room when you wake up is breathtaking and the balcony is the best place on the island to have a drink and watch the sunset! The pool is lovely, but the pool/bar guy is not very friendly/nice… Not sure if it’s a language barrier, but he was not pleasant to deal with. Overall amazing place and I would stay here again!

Wonderful location with amazing views over the Caldera. The staff cannot do enough to help and will arrange transfers from the airport, local trips etc. It was great to have a small kitchen area in our accommodation with a fridge. The swimming pool was a good size to swim in and there were plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

The caldera view from Agali houses is well worth the expense.

The hotel staff were very helpful in organising sunset catamaran and archaeological bus tour to Akrotiri (highly recommend).

A minor suggestion for improvement, if the pool bar would consider stocking Yellow Donkey Ale (from the local Santorini brewing Company).

I would stay here again.

Agali houses is a Fantastic place to stay. It’s calm and peaceful with the amenities even nicer than the photos online. The staff was friendly from the moment we checked in. They gave us a room to keep our luggage for the day after we checked out and we had a place to shower and change. I would definitely stay here again!
