i had a very negative experience my hot tub jets didn’t come on and the hot water in the shower didn’t work. overall the hotel is very outdated as well. when i told the front desk he laughed at me with no solution. staff was also very rude. i stayed at excellence for 4 days and here one, it was nowhere near comparable to a 5 star experience. would not recommend.

My stay at Ocean Eden Bay in Jamaica was absolutely amazing! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and treated me like family. The resort is beautiful, with clean rooms, excellent food, and stunning views of the ocean. There were plenty of activities to enjoy, and the atmosphere was relaxing and fun at the same time yaaman

I truly can’t wait to visit Jamaica again , such a beautiful country.

Entertainment was excellent. The staff need more training on how to be more customer focus or maybe the company need to appreciate them more. With all that said, I had a great time. Would go back.

For an all exclusive place I really dislike the two tier service where if you’re not paying for privilege service you don’t get the top shelf alcohol and quite frankly the bottom shelf alcohol was terrible terrible terrible I couldn’t find one drink that I could actually enjoy. they should just make it one price and everyone gets to choose the top shelf liquor. The food was ok not great. Some restaurants were better that others. I will say the place is absolutely beautiful. One of the better facilities I’ve ever been to. They has a glow party in the night. It started off ok then got too getto. Sorry not the type of music I enjoy on a resort.

The problem was that they couldn't reconcile my reservation at the entrance gate with the office on the.
lobby and had me waiting for 2 hours in the sun , rather than let me go to the lobby accompanied by security guard.
When I arrived at the lobby they founded my reservation. This is not the first time this had happened. Do something to remedy the situation.

If you're considering Ocean Eden Bay for your Jamaican getaway, our stay ultimately earned a 9.8/10.
The resort is beautiful, our Junior Suite Pool View exceeded expectations, and the staff delivered the warm, authentic Jamaican hospitality we came for.
To be honest, our trip hit a rough patch when we experienced a significant air conditioning issue during our anniversary stay. As an asthmatic guest, this became a genuine concern and we worried our vacation was heading in the wrong direction.
What impressed us most was how management responded. Once Phillip and his team became involved, communication improved, solutions were implemented, and we felt genuinely cared for. The issue was resolved, and the effort made to restore our experience exceeded expectations.

The highlight of our stay was our anniversary dinner at Bluemoon. Sharlette provided some of the finest service we have experienced in Jamaica. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the evening unforgettable. Being serenaded by Michael during dinner created a memory we will cherish for years.
Dining was excellent throughout the resort, especially Sugar Cane, where we enjoyed some of the most authentic Jamaican cuisine of our trip.
We would also like to recognize the spa team, whose professionalism and care helped us relax, reset, and fully enjoy the remainder of our vacation.
No resort is perfect, but great resorts take ownership and make things right. Ocean Eden Bay did exactly that.

It was ok. I’ve been to many resorts in other places and this was my least favorite one. The floors hadn’t been swept when we entered, the air wasn’t working, but they fixed it promptly. The cold water didn’t work, they worked on it, then the hot water didn’t work. I purchased privilege but the breakfast wasn’t ready at 7:00 am. Also the staff in the privilege lounge seemed like they didn’t want to be there. It took us 1.5 hours to check in. If you don’t book your excursions through them, they act like they can’t help you. Our butler wasn’t always responsive. We sent our laundry at 2:00 one day, was told it was ready. Then we were told the dryer broke 8 hours later. Called them when we got back to the room, then they said 7 am the next day it would be ready. We got it closer to 8 am and we had to leave for the airport at 9 am. We had to rush to pack and eat. I was overcharged for the laundry. The adventures and pool were fun but I don’t think purchasing privilege is worth. It. The food is ok, typical of resort buffets. I would NOT book this place again, but my Mom had fun so…

I had a great experience overall. The location was convenient, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything I needed was easily accessible.

No A/C for the first two days of my 4 day stay. Housekeeping stole my one of a kind “braid” shower cap. When I reported it, no one cared. Buffet was the best place to eat. All other restaurants were bland or just downright nasty tasting. The Steakhouse was horrible. Hibachi grill (Shakura ) was okay. Definitely not worth the $1700.88 I spent. Save yourself the headache and money and go elsewhere. Mist of the staff was professional and friendly but the ones who weren’t should find another job. Pool is only 3 ft deep so no swimming. If you’re privileged you can go to the ocean but make sure you have swimming shoes because the rocks in the water will cut you. Check In was very unorganized, there’s always a line no matter what time of day you go to talk to someone. Room Service does not answer calls so it’s non existent. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DON’T GO TO OCEAN EDEN BAY ADULTS ONLY. GARBAGE RESORT AND COMPOUND.

The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The only thing that I would say that the hotel can improve on is having a better beach for non-privilege guests. What I noticed is that the beach for non-privileged guests has many rocks and sharp shells and things like that that make it difficult to the beach and just walk straight into the beach, but if you take a look at the privileged guest beach, it’s very clean and clear and they’re easily able to access the beach. They need to do a better job of making sure that non-privileged guests have access to a beach that is of similar quality as the privilege guests. Apart from that this hotel was amazing. Would 10 out of 10 visit again

Had a great time during our stay and enjoyed the activities, especially bowling. The food at the buffet and specialty restaurants were good-favourites were the steakhouse and bluemoon, least favourite was Thali. The showers in the rooms are a bit outdated and there was an unpleasant smell in the lobby for most of our stay. The beach was beautiful but rocky, the privilege side looked better for swimming. Overall most of the staff were pleasant and helpful.

The rooms are really nice but the service and food leave much to be desired. The wait staff at the restaurants is great but the front desk and guest services staff were very slow. It took them 5 hours to send us towels. The hotel had no air conditioning for almost 24 hours. It was miserably hot everywhere. All inclusive restaurants usually have average food but this was below average. Lots of restaurant options but the quality of the food was not great.

This resort was highly disappointing. They don’t tell you that it isn’t completely all inclusive. You have to pay for a coconut, a pineapple, the bob marley show, any resort activities ( classes, Virtual reality, wine tastings) We were Privileged Guests and our butlers Chevoy and Kareem were amazing. They definitely made our stay much better. Top tier service from those two!! The other staff seemed annoyed as if they weren’t interested in working or helping guests. The resort it self is beautiful. The room was amazing. Food was mediocre but it’s expected at a resort.

The rooms are amazing. The staff is really helpful. The property is well maintained. The variety of restaurants is good. I did not like the variety of alcohol in the room. It was really basic and it couldn’t be changed even though I was in the privilege room. The top shelf liquor was only available at certain bars. The one negative about the place is the active staff trying to sell you something like a timeshare to their property, they say it’s not a timeshare they call it. Maybe club is a timeshare and the staff are very aggressive and it’s very annoying. Also note if you purchase by Expedia airport transfers are not included and that is an additional $70 each way that you have to pay that is not me clear from the beginning, but it’s a substantial amount of money that you should take note and compare, however, a private driver is very convenient cause you don’t stop at various other hotels to the airport.

The property is beautiful, the butler service was not. We upgraded to get a butler...now if you've had butler service at Sandals, this is beyond disappointing...IYKYK. We only saw our Butler when we ran into him. He made one reservation, the rest we made ourselves. The Privilege beach area was \"first come first serve\". This is what we were told when we asked him to reserve a cabana. The bar man named Marco was excellent and acted more like a butler than our Butler did. We were there for five days and we probably saw him twice. Again, if you've had great butler service, you're likely to be disappointed. Save your 💰. The privilege beach was not that much of a privilege. It was very Rocky I saw people stumping their toes on rocks and it was very small compared to the standard Beach area. Pool is absolutely amazing to stop at the pool is amazing the restaurants are great. My two only complaints were the Butler service that they sold me on and did not deliver and on our last night the air conditioner went out for the remainder of the night, we were on the 5th floor with no air and having to subject ourselves just sleeping with the balcony doors open and risking being eaten up by mosquitoes.

The hotel grounds are really beautiful and well kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My room was not ready when I checked in, but the hotel held my luggage and provided access to restaurants, shower etc. in case I wanted to eat and refresh myself while I waited. My room (junior garden view with 2 queen beds) was spacious and clean and any issues were addressed quickly. Although I stayed on the adults only side, I still had access to the family side which has a water park and lazy river (warning your hair will get wet) and the amenities there. The Tepanayki was a great experience but it was difficult to secure reservations. I will definitely be back to this resort.

Overall, enjoyed our stay. We booked a privilege swim out and enjoyed our stay. Our “butlers” were awesome. The staff were all friendly and attentive.

The pools (main and swim outs) had lots of missing tiles, but I’m sure it’s a huge project to remedy that.

Two main dislikes: 1. The open smoking of marijuana and tobacco products EVERYWHERE! It was being done in the main pool and surrounding areas constantly, on balconies, etc. The resort really should limit all smoking to designated areas only.
2. Security at main gate the day we left (May 22nd) held up our airport transport making them 15 to 20 minutes late picking us up. Then held us up another 10 to 15 minutes at exit because they were allowing airport transport companies to use the “exit lane” to enter complex. It’s a 45 minute ride to Mo Bay airport in “good traffic”. Our driver (and us) were needlessly stressed out trying to get us to the airport on time.

We will still return to Jamaica in the future and possibly even to this resort. But the resort definitely needs to address the two issues I mentioned.

For starters my room had black mold in the bathroom shower my bestfriend had large water bugs. It took 2 days to accommodate. The last night we had a crab outside our door climbing the wall. The food was good, Cool entertainment. The bar was cool too. The website advertises free shuttle from the airport however it’s actually $70 round trip. Room service and the luggage guys were great until the last day. We called early morning for room service they kept hanging up on me. I called and ask for help 2.5 hrs before checkout with our luggage no one showed, we found someone outside and asked for help they told us we could walk.

The pool was beautiful, and overall the hotel itself was nice. However, there definitely seemed to be a lot of upselling at the front desk for a “privileged” package that didn’t really seem to offer much value. The beach is also very rocky, so I would definitely recommend bringing water shoes.
There were no discounts offered for the spa, and although the room was clean, it wasn’t ready when I first arrived. They offered me what they called an upgraded room, but it ended up being the same room type I originally booked. They also described it as an “upgraded ocean view,” even though there really wasn’t any view of the ocean.
Despite those issues, the hotel itself was still nice and the pool area was definitely a highlight.

We loved our stay at ocean Eden bay. The resort was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. No matter what time you get there check in time is at three. That was a little frustrating because we had to wait a while before we were comfortable. Our room was cleaned very well and well stocked with things like towels and water. The beach was really rocky(bring swim shoes).
I would have lived more Jamaican food. The jerk hut was nice if you were able to get there at a reasonable time before things ran out, but in the buffets, I would’ve liked more traditional jamaican foods that were readily available to the guests. They did have one restaurant that had truly Jamaican style cuisine, but it was at an additional cost. We came to Jamaica! I would have liked more Jamaican food. The entertainment was fun and the pool was very spacious. Elvis at the pool bar was ONE OF a KIND!

We did feel that the restaurants could have used some more fans/AC. I know we were in an island but when you entered a building it was always hot. We felt like our room was the only place to truly cool off other than the pool.

After all, I definitely consider going back again if ever possible.

The room was clean, and I appreciated the daily housekeeping service that maintained its freshness. However, my excitement was quickly dampened by the fact that the hotel did not deliver on the promise of an ocean view room, which was particularly disappointing considering the premium price we paid for it. It seemed to be a common complaint among guests, as many were frequently shuffled between rooms without any improvement in their view.

The culinary offerings were another letdown; the Jamaican cuisine was scarce and disappointing, lacking the vibrant flavors and variety one would expect in Jamaica. Furthermore, the hotel's ambiance did not have any Jamaican aesthetics or cultural elements that could tell a story of the island’s rich heritage.

The bar was poorly stocked, running out of both wine and pina coladas, which added to the overall frustration. Shopping at the gift shop was no better; they had exorbitant prices, with sunscreen priced at an astonishing $32.00. My experience fell far short of the 5-star rating I had anticipated.

Additionally, I found some staff members to be overly aggressive and lacking in basic customer service skills, which made for an uncomfortable environment. However, amidst the challenges, Nicohle stood out as a shining beacon of positivity. With her warm smile and prompt assistance, she truly made a difference during my stay. I will not be going back to Ocean Eden Bay, as I did not get the experience of a luxury hotel in Jamaica offering.

Fantastic resort with great amenities like night live music, pool activities, bowling, billiard pool, and others. As far as the food, the buffet restaurant was excellent, but the theme restaurants were not as great. The staff was fantastic. They were very friendly and always made us feel like home. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and spacious. The resort is approx. a 40 minutes drive from the airport. One section of the beach is a little rocky but most of it is sandy and great for swimming. In general, I loved this resort and we would highly recommend it.

It was nice overall, I just personally didn’t like the gap in food service, which about 2-3 hours due to the kitchens changing from day to evening, room service was available but that was a 45 min wait. Also the bar inside the pool closed pretty early around 5:30pm.

Had a wonderful time with my friends. The food is really good especially the jerk hut. The staff was always helpful and the drinks were good. Very chill atmosphere

They did not have my room available. Which was a swim out room. Instead “upgraded” me to a room with a jacuzzi and acted like that was okay. That was not nice at all. A room with a pool and a room with a jacuzzi are 2 different experiences. When asked why I wasn’t able to get the room I booked no answer was given.

Room and overall resort was very well maintained and clean. Most of the staff was friendly, some were not. It was pretty frustrating to get bottled water. You could only get it through mini bar service into the room. That was as not a quick process. Multiple hold times on the phone to get the request and then waiting for hours for it. The bar stocked with “snacks” just means one bag of plantain chips. Nothing else. The liquor/drink options were not “all inclusive” like other places I have stayed. It’s tiered so you get basic liquor and one type of beer or else it’s an up charge. The food everywhere we went was VERY good. There was no wait time to get into any walk in restaurant, but the time it took to order and get food was entirely too long. I don’t want to spend almost 2 hours trying to get quick lunch food. There was also a significant draw back on food availability. From 5-6pm there’s literally no food options. Everything is closed. Should have something available. This resort also tricks you into “meeting with your concierge” which is really just spending two hours to hear a pitch similar to a time share pitch. I’m not paying thousands to go some where that’s all inclusive to then try to be sold to spend more. Would not stay here again.
