This hotel uses an automated check-in process, so be prepared by providing the pre-check-in information to the hotel before arriving. Also, unless you are willing to pay to check-in early, you have to wait til 3 PM. By that time, there were 4-5 other couples/families waiting to check-in. Once in the room, we found the floor had not been properly cleaned (debris, food residue on the carpet). The hotel responded quickly to have the floor cleaned. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and quiet, nice view of Nara from the top floor. Staff were helpful, friendly and courteous, and despite no front desk staff, someone was available when needed. Breakfast was tasty with selections from Japanese and western cuisine, just not as extensive as other hotels we stayed in throughout Japan. The hotel is literally a few minutes from Nara Station making it a very convenient location to Nara Park, temples, gardens, restaurants and shopping, either on foot or by bus or train.

We had the 4 twin bed room. It has its own bathroom, shower room, and a large U-shaped lounge area. Overall the room was fantastic, spacious and clean. The location was great too, close to (one of the two) train station and the start of the Nara park.

Very Enjoyable Stay in Nara.

Check in was a bit problematic as the checking card readers would not accept my credit card but there is a phone on the desk to summon staff who turned up within a minute to rectify the problem.
The room was a bit tight but we managed and had a very enjoyable 4 days stay.
The hotel does offer a breakfast which we also enjoyed.
We found that we were only ten minutes walk to the nearby shopping precinct and al 20 minutes walk to Nara Park and the Bowing Deers.

Two adults two teens stayed in a \"Forth/Force\" (Quad) room in Jan 2025 for 2 nights. We LOVED this hotel. It's 2 minutes walk from Kintetsu Nara train station and the shopping streets, and so close to Nara Park. The hotel is very new and immaculately clean. Digital check in and check out was easy. Staff come quickly from the back room if needed. Book the breakfast - it's a little cafe in the hotel lobby, breakfast was made fresh and yes limited options but so delicious - french toast, bacon, salad. They also do fancy drinks etc later in the day. There are two very new washer dryers in the super clean laundry room, coin operated. The dryer works perfectly if you don't overload the machine and follow the instructions (half full only). We loved this hotel and how close it was to everything. We have booked to return on our next trip.

This is a touch free hotel. No front desk people etcetera. Carpet is glue squares. They used a bad color choice in the hallway. It shows stains and traffic. Breakfast was so so.

We love the convenience of the location and the amenities, such as laundry services, vending machines, luggage storage, and even comic books provided by the hotel. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and polite. Its location is close to sightseeing locations, shops, restaurants, and transportation hubs. We would definitely stay here again should we come to Nara in the future.

The location is fantastic and the room was really spacious (we booked a family room). We came by car and there was a big parking nearby. Breakfast was limited but it was good. The only bad point was that the carpet in the room was dirty, there was some stain and big lump of hair.

Check was easy! Also I appreciate the bag storage! That was a life saver when I arrived in town a bit early . I was able to go out and explore until check in time. Laundry was also available onsite. Enjoyed my stay. Would book again if I decide to come back again

I was worried about being nobody at the front but it was actually working. My only concern is the remaining times of washing machines displayed on the TV. The times are about 3-4 min behind the actual ones. It could be improved.

Check in was easy and quick.Property is clean and near the train station (2min walk - go out exit 4 - walk straight and turn left when you come to the first street, hotel is about 20m on your left). Walkable to everything you want to see in Nara and restaurants and everything are minutes away. The room was clean and has everything you need, typical japanese style hotel room as in size and Facilites. Only downside is there was no need to speak with hotel staff as its all self checkin so it takes abit of the personal experience away but that is where technology is taking us. I would stay there again, nice stay and good price.

decent hotel - stupid check-in

Good basic hotel room. The location is great, close to the train station.

I really didn't like the check-in process. There are NO people - just a stupid projection of a ninja or a T-Rex that bark at you in Japanese. It's totally automated. I'm not sure if you could do a walk-in with out a reservation.

This hotel could be the first to provide computerized services without human staff. This is very successful. There is still one human staff to guide the customers to use the computerized systems. Only one thing not perfect: there is no curtain in bathroom to protect water going outside.

Good basic accommodation in central Nara. We booked this hotel for its robot branding but really it is no different to any other hotel apart from the projected images of samurai and dinosaurs at check in.

This is a wonderful hotel for a sight-seeing stay in Nara! The location is perfect and close to all main attractions. The restaurant on the ground floor also provided the best hotel breakfast we had while in Japan. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Nara.

Stayed two nights. Excellent access to Kintetsu Nara Station and Nara Park. Lots of restaurants in the area. Since minimal staff are working, a computerized telephone wake-up service would be appreciated. For western travellers, note that the rooms are very small.

変なのはチェックインだけ

My expectation was high based on massive ad campaigns on TV etc. years ago. The dinosaur / samurai check in process was unique but everything else was regular business type hotel deal. Breakfast was either French toast or croque monsieur and served in nice /clean cafe on the first floor.

ちょっと前のテレビなどの広告で興味があって宿泊しましたが、面白かったのは恐竜と侍のノーコンタクトチェックインだけで、他はフツーのはビジネスホテルという感じでした。朝食は一階の綺麗なカフェーでフレンチトーストかクロックムッシュです。

Overall pleasant stay, but beware no hotel parking

The hotel itself was pretty good. It is in an amazing location close to major Nara attractions. The beds were a bit hard. The shower and toiletries were superb. A major downside is the hotel doesn’t have parking and parking on the weekends is very expensive, at around $80 a night.

部屋はシンプルですが、清潔感があり、ゆっり過ごすことが、できました。スタッフの方と接することは基本的にありません。外国人観光客が多く、チェックインで手間取り分かりにくい部分があるのかなと感じました。日本人は全く問題ありません。近鉄奈良駅や繁華街も徒歩5分程度とても便利てます。
コスパもいいのでまた利用させていただきます。

この価格帯のホテルとしては、客室は十分な広さがあったと思う。残念な点が2点。一つは収納スペースが全くないこと。部屋の空間スペースとの兼ね合いだとは思うが、収納が全くないと1泊なら我慢もできるが、複数伯の場合はやはり不便だ。二つ目は（これはとても許しがたい！）ベッドのヘッドボード（照明が埋め込まれている）上のカーテンで隠れる部分に使用済みのティッシュペーパーが丸めて放置してあったこと！カーテンで隠れていて気が付きにくい部分ではあるが、ルームクリーニングの質が悪いと言わざるを得ない。

チェックイン、チェックアウトもスムーズにでき良かったですが、エレベーターの使い方がルームキーでタッチしてから階数ボタンを押すところで少し戸惑いました。事前に解るようなアナウンスがあれば良いと思いました。

近鉄奈良駅からも近く利便性も良かったです
夕飯は駅の近くに商店街があり、飲食店もたくさんあるので店は選び放題です

ダブルの普通の部屋でしたが、キレイで居心地のよい空間でした
USBポートも２つ着いていて、アメニティもしっかりあり、不便はありませんでした
ホテルのドライヤーはだいたい風量が弱いけど、しっかり風量もありすぐに乾きました
朝食も美味しく、特にフレンチトーストや出し茶漬けが良かったです
駐車場も提携のところで一晩1300円とお値打ちでした

チェックイン前、チェックアウト後の荷物預けが車の立体駐車場みたいな感じで効率的、交通系ICカードで簡単にできるのが便利でした。ロッカーは数が少ないのですぐにいっぱいでした。

設備はミニマムですが、必要なものは大体揃ってます。また人気の漫画が貸出されててたくさん読めます。
