The owner and staff were absolutely amazing - kind, helpful, going above and beyond. While the hotel is not in the thick of activity, there are many beautiful views, peaceful mornings and evenings, and it is easily accessible to all areas of the island by car with some walkable. Plenty of free parking is available at the hotel.

Cleanliness was top notch as well.

Quiet area and close drive to the towns. Easy check-in and check-out, receptionist was very informative about the area and recommended places to go. Breakfast was very good and the man serving breakfast was very friendly and helpful, would help with anything you needed. (His homemade banana bread was delicious.) Rooms were very clean and modern. Highly recommend!

What a charming hotel! We were looking for somewhere to stay proximate to the airport, and easy to travel to/from - and the Onyx was great. From check-in to check-out, Konstantina was a jewel! She not only gave us Upon check-in, Konstantina stepped away from the desk to take us to our room & introduce us to its features - after giving us a map with several recommendations, adding to the list her personal preferences. We so very much enjoyed her dinner recmmendation at Nektar Lounge overlooking the volcano caldera! What a GLORIOUS view - and the food was amazing, served by a very attentive team.

Our room was super-clean, the sinks, counters, and fixtures shone - and we had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was HOT and relaxing! We were so looking forward to soaking in our private hot tub, and were disappointed that it didn’t work despite Konstantina trying to have it serviced.

The delightful breakfast bar suited our a-typical American pallettes - with COFFEE, fruit, yogurt, and a very tasty walnut-spice bread on morning! There were eggs and other breads as well as juices - and the server kept the bar area stocked and ready for all comers.

Parking seems to always be a problem in Greece, so we used the transportation Konstantina arranged for us, however our family was able to also drop us off and park - which was much appreciated.

Although the Onyx is a small business, it was well worth staying in this off-the-beaten-path venue.

Absolutely beautiful place and stay. So peaceful and clean and worth every penny. If you’re looking for a room with a private pool but fira is too pricey this is 100x better regardless. Fira is a 5 min drive. You’re able to rent ATV and moped right on property to get around too. Constantina is an angel!

Konstantina and Krystallia at the front desk were extremely helpful and welcoming. Our stay at this property was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel is relatively new, very clean, and well-maintained.

There are plenty of safe and convenient parking options available. The location is ideal—centrally situated in Santorini, close to both the airport and Fira, making it very easy to get around the island.

The breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety. Although the weather was a bit chilly and we couldn’t use the swimming pool, it looked beautiful and offered great views.

I would definitely recommend this property to anyone planning a holiday in Santorini.

We had an absolutely amazing week staying at Onyx Hotel in Santorini. The hotel was so clean and we loved our room, the hot tub on the balcony felt like such a special luxury. All the staff at the hotel were so welcoming and friendly, and so happy to help us with anything we needed and wanted to help us to make our stay extra special.
We really enjoyed the short walk into Fira every day, and found the location absolutely perfect for us - especially being out of the way of the busier areas.
I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone ☺️

Was very happy with our stay at Onyx Hotel. All the staff was so nice and accommodating. Service was excellent. Denisa and Victoria at the front desk, were so helpful from setting up airport transfer pick up/ drop offs, to making suggestions for local eats, and dinner reservations. We enjoyed the free breakfast that was provided with our stay. Spirro was kind and attentive, made great suggestions to where we should go.
Hotel, room and pool very clean. Great quiet location. 10 min walk to the bus stop. From the bus stop, about 10-15 mins ride to Fira. Would definitely recommend.

Best Hotel In Santorini !!!

From the moment we arrived it felt like we were in paradise. From the incredible service from all the staff to the delightful room and amenities, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. With a short walk to get into the main town Fira or a very friendly transfer arranged by the hotel, Onyx is in a prime spot to have a very peaceful stay and still feel close to the hustle and bustle. 10/10 would recommend and would stay again.

We loved our stay at Onyx. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful guiding us around the island, we used the bus a lot and they printed us timetables and wrote down routes and made recommendations in the areas we explored. The actual hotel is beautiful, we got upgraded which was a special treat and the pool was great to lounge by. Pretty easy access to the rest of the island. Would recommend!!

Great experience

Very clean, well maintained... we had an excellent experience. The reception staff was extraordinarily helpful even in ordering food to the room, booking trips (their recommendation turned out to be our best day sunset boat/cruise trips ever). Every staff member - including the housekeeping, bartender, breakfast manager were very warm, friendly. Made us feel at home!

We booked here last minute I. The beginning of May to celebrate my birthday. The room was amazing as was the pool area. The staff and owners were great to recommend places to go, places to eat, and things to do. They booked our sunset boat tour for my birthday, arranged a rental car and even explained the bus schedule to us so we could use the bus too. They had information for the hike to Oia for us to use while hiking.
It was a wonderful stay in a super nice place with some awesome staff and owners! I would highly recommend staying here!

This hotel was super clean and nice!!!!! I stayed May 2025. Quiet, peaceful and clean. Breakfast was amazing, customer service was a 100/10
The only thing i didn't like was the jacuzzi didn't get hot. The water was luke warm which means i didn't really enjoy the personal jacuzzi experience. Close to food and shopping. I will be back!!!!

Onyx was the 4th stop on our honeymoon throughout Europe. Hands down, they provided the best service from beginning to the end of our stay. Everything on property is very well taken care of, including their guests. They consider everything you could possibly need and give a thorough welcome when you arrive with details about recommended places to visit/see on the island. I can't recommend this place enough. The reception desk is so helpful and kind and all the staff are amazing. Breakfast was included and it was so delicious. We arranged transportation to and from the port and our driver was so considerate, making sure we were comfortable and that the AC was to our liking. We were sad to leave Onyx. We rented an ATV to travel around the island which was SO worth it. If you're thinking about booking, just book. Amazing service Onyx, your effort does not go unnoticed. We are so thankful and grateful for you all.

Loved this hotel and will stay here again! First, it was super easy to coordinate a driver to pick up from the port. The staff were so helpful and friendly, helping with dinner reservations and recommendations. 10/10. Hotel is in a quiet area but super easy walk to Fira. Can rent ATVs from front desk, and it’s a 25 min drive to Oia and anywhere else on the island. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable! The breakfast was delicious. Overall a perfect stay and can’t wait to come back!!!

Amazing stay for honeymooners

Our stay at Onyx was amazing! It’s in a little town beside the capital of Santorini, Fira - just a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. We felt very taken care of by their staff who made our stay very easy going and relaxing. We booked a car rental through them which was super easy as pick up and drop off was there at the hotel. We also booked a sunset cruise through them which again pick up and drop off was directly at the hotel.
Everything was very convenient and we absolutely would come stay here again. The room was very spacious as we booked a suite. And everything was very clean in our room and around the hotel.

Amazing Staff and Hotel

Amazing staff, Maria receptionist was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Spiros and Litsa at the bar and breakfast were the best We even told the owner that we will come back again because of your staff. Never mind that that location of the hotel was very good and accessible to all part of island.

Aamupalalle olisimme toivoneet monipuolisuutta kuten puuroa, vihanneksia, marjoja, tummaa leipää. Vahva suositus.

This hotel was so beautiful. The rooms were very spacious. Cleaning and restock was done everyday. The hostess recommendations were excellent from restaurant to wine tours and times of when to arrive to our destination so we don’t run into lots of people. Breakfast every morning was excellent! I would highly recommend this villa

We had a wonderful time in our stay at the Onyx. The true standout is the friendliness, kindness and attention of the staff from Maria and Denisa at the front desk to Lida at the bar. They are so attentive to your needs and made great arrangements for dinner and activities as well as arranging transportation. It was a truly enjoyable stay. The accommodations were also very spacious and clean. A 5 star all around!

We stayed at Onyx for 5 nights and enjoyed the whole experience.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful with a permanent smile. Denisa and Maria were an absolute delight to communicate with and they made fabulous recommendations and booked trips / restaurants as required.

Our room was clean and very comfortable with a spacious balcony. The hot tub was a bonus and was used every day throughout the stay.

The pool area was picture perfect every day and well maintained. The pool bar offered everything we needed, again with a very cheerful and helpful member of staff through to 7pm each day.

The hotel was quiet and was an easy 10 minute walk to local restaurants and shops. We walked into Fira a number of times and it took about 25 – 30 minutes although the buses were easy to use into Fira and Oia.

We chose Onyx and Santorini to celebrate a special birthday and it was most certainly a very special and memorable place.

Our stay at Onyx truly made our visit to Santorini unforgettable. The hospitality we received from the team running the property was incredible. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is not far from Fira (walkable for us) yet. Everything is truly as pictured - not photoshopped at all. The rooms were fresh, squeaky clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The breakfast provided every morning was delicious. We loved the pool and enjoyed many tasty drinks made by the bartender. If we are ever able to visit Santorini again, we would not consider staying anywhere else. Will recommend this location to anyone we know planning a visit.

This resort was amazing! We loved the architecture, the staff, the amenities (pool and free breakfast). There's not a lot of rooms and that's what makes the resort special, as it's very peaceful and not overly crowded. I highly recommend it! It is about a 7 minute drive from Fira, but walkable (~25-30 minutes). We would definitely stay here again if we visit Santorini in the future.

Highly recommend the onyx hotel. The hospitality was amazing and Katia and staff was accommodating. The location is not too far from Fira. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. We loved the included breakfast! Everything was beautifully designed. We would definitely come back and suggest to others that visit Santorini. It is not too far from popular tourist destinations but still quiet and relaxing. Thank you to Onyx Hotel & Suites!
