Amazing resort, service, & sunrise views ☀️

Thea Luxury Resort was great. The suites were very spacious and included a kitchenette. The sunrise views were gorgeous and there were two pools and a well equipped gym better than most hotels especially for weights. The service was impeccable and we were given local tips on where to go around the island besides the common hot spots. Highly recommend a stay here especially with groups as the space is a sought after luxury on such a popular island full of tourists.

Property is misnamed. It is not a luxury resort. Shower water was swampy smelling. Only bathroom items offered are towels and small bar of soap. Area is very mountainous and it is difficult to walk along road safely to get to town.

Comfortable and spacious for a family of 5. We love that it has pool since we are not near the beach. We rented a car so lots of parking at the property. We walked to Fira at first its not far at all and then we rented a car since it's quite hot and coning from other parts of Greece having Santorini as our last stop we needed to be comfortable. We love the staff, they are very accommodating. Thank you.

This is one of the best hotels in Fira. I will definitely stay in the future. Best in customer service. Dimitris is looking after us very well. So polite helpful. Even if you ask for late at night he will try and help. Best! Best! Best! Even my 7 year old told me that this hotel made his holiday best ever.

It could be better

\"Luxury\" is a loose term. We stayed in the villa. It was furnished comfortably, but the A/C was not working. Temperature wise it wasn't too bad. It was around 72 degrees indoors. The issue is that it was extremely humid, so it made it feel hotter and stickier, and it was not comfortable to sleep in at night. Either they need to fix the A/C or provide a dehumidifier to help. It could use a little updating. My pillowcase was torn. They have a shuttle you can pay for to get between the airport or the ferry port. The only downside was that our flight arrived at 7 a.m., and they wouldn't pick us up until 8:15 a.m. The hotel itself is about half a mile from the Fira bus station, but it's an uphill walk. If you're not comfortable with the walk, I recommend staying somewhere closer to the city.

This was a very Experience. Upon arriving at the resort, they would not let uš check in without paying extra for our 8 year old son. The rooms were dirty, wifi did not work. The only good thing we can remember is the manager dropping uš off at the bus stop.

Thea Luxury is a great place to stay for the Santorini vacation. It has spacious rooms, private front open space to enjoy the ocean view and free parking if you rent a car, which is helpful to get around the island. Every staff is very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Okay for a night or two at best.

Well I'll start by saying that it's not a bad place, but it's not a great place either.

My wife, daughter and I were there for two nights. They did pick us ip from airport, late by 10 to 15 minutes from when our plane arrived and there was a $20 Euro charge for service.

The room was okay, there were a few ants, but got rid of them quickly. The AC wasn't great but worked okay. The bathroom was damp and had a weird smell. The shower head was not mounted to the wall so it mase showering a bit difficult. There was no soap, shampoo or anything in the bathroom, so you have to bring it yourself. The floors in the bathroom are painted and when wet you need to put down towels or else you will slip. My wife fell and could have been seriously injured, but luckily she was fine.

It's kinda close to the centre but it's a good 10 to 15 minute walk, uphill to the nearest restaurant. You did have to go through a poorly kept path, but once you went through it, it was fine, you would need a flashlight or light from your phone in the dark. It's a safe area, but that first time was a bit of a challenge.

The breakfast for $7.50 Euro cash or $10 credit was very simple, yogurt and what not, would have been better to go to town and get more for your money.

We didn't really enjoy it but as mentioned for a night or two to crash it's fine. If you plan to go for longer than a day, I wouldn't really recommend it, spend a bit more for something closer to town and nicer.

Our stay for 4 nights was very disappointing. I had booked a room for 3 nights in one booking with 4 people and had another for 1 night (separate booking- as asked by the the studio themselves) - They charged by 70 Euros for the 4t night for the 2 kids.

The bathroom water was coming out of the floor drain on the day we reached and they had to get a plumber in which they only did after 6 pm so we could not take a shower when we arrived. The toiletries were missing and when asked they gave us one tiny packet per person for all our 4 day stay.

Our room lost electricity but other rooms did not but they said it was the city. I was confused by that as the very next room (which were friends in our group - we were a group of 4 families) did not loose electricity at all.

We had VIP access via Expedia that would allow for an free upgrade and a bottle of wine. Did not receive that benefit. They did pest control on the site the day we arrived so we had a ton of cockroaches right outside our room door. Kids splashing in the pool were yelled at. The pool water seemed murky but we were not sure if it was the color of the pool underneath which was dark of if it was the actually the water. the benches had tar on it that spoiled our clothes. The studios are far from the main Fira area., a good 15 minute walk. The transfer service to airport was easy and event free and cheaper than a taxi. Water bottles easily accessible and not expensive. Breakfast simple but available. Overall- Poor.

Not very cleanly. Saw spider webs in the light fixtures, smashed bugs on the walls, bits of TP behind the bathroom door. We did like the layout- nice to have the kids have their own area. Kitchen was nice with steps leading down to it. Loved having a pool. The A/C was not good and was hot even when on! It was hot during our stay - time of year in Greece so leaving windows open at night was still hot!

For 20 euros, they will provide private driver to pick up your party at the airport. You’ll want this since taxis are sparse there. I’d stay there again if visiting santorini again.

The pictures don’t do the apartment justice. It was very spacious with everything you needed. The pool area was lovely & the perfect place to relax. A bit of an uphill walk into town so not ideal for dragging suitcases but with a car/transfer it’s fine. Special mention to Michael who could not have been more helpful and friendly! Not recommended. The property is not close to anything. Need to rent a car for stepping out. The front desk person was not helpful or friendly and essentially rolled their eyes when we asked for anything. Within a minute of check in we were told not to mess the towels and not to forget anything in our rooms and not to leave doors or windows open when the AC was on. This was like a lecture. Breakfast very basic. No staff at hotel between 11 pm and 6 am.

The property is nice and spacious, close to fira and kind of city centre , you can take a bike and move around the island easily almost all the location or beaches are equivalent- distance. However we found that the basic facility of drinking water was missing ,as you must know the tap water isn’t drinkable there. water bottle was provided free only on the day we checked in and for rest of the days we had to pay to get a water bottle . Also if you are booking through this site , you might be charged extra €2 per day which is service charge , this is over and above your hotel charge which you might have already paid/will pay as per the site .
Upon your arrival .The pool looked big in the picture but it’s comparatively smaller .

The property is a 10 minute walk from the core of Fira, but it’s such a lovely place! Alex from reception was such an amazing person, he truly cares about what’s important to me and my wife and listed things we need to explore in the island. He also recommended places to dine, what to do and what to avoid. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m back in Santorini. Yes, it’s a 10 minute walk to the core but the short hike warmed me up for the adventures ahead!

Shocking customer service towards guests

Cannot fault the property or facilities however certain frontline staff were hostile and threatening towards our party. Refused to engage with a request to speak to the manager stating he had no interest in speaking to ourselves. Refused to acknowledge Hotel.com membership criteria and honor benefits. It was not isolated, watched another party leave early rather than expose themselves to the staffs hostility.

Beautiful place! Our apartment was amazing and had plenty of space. Access to two pools and the staff were friendly too. The only issue we had was that even though it was close to Fira (about 5-10 mins drive), it was a little bit isolated. Also, the breakfast, unfortunately, was fairly basic. Having said that, I would definitely come back!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Thea Studios. The property was clean and the staff was extremely friendly and over-accommodating. Check-in was quick and easy. Because our flight got delayed, we were given an upgrade rather than the original suite we booked. We were able to stay in a split level which was recently built/renovated and it was beautiful. The property is pretty quiet for the most part except for our neighbors who would have raging parties late at night but it's Summer time in Santorini, so we overlooked that. The pool is nice and clean, the breakfast is pretty decent for the cost, and the staff would help us order food delivery since we could not dial out from our own phones. The shuttle service is an added bonus and we took advantage of it on our arrival and departure. This property also conveniently has everything you need from renting cars to quads. We rented a car and the process was quick and easy. Overall, this was a relaxing stay and we would absolutely be back to stay again.

I can’t say enough about the staff and the property. Dimitri the manager was kind and very helpful in many ways. Alexis checked us in and explained what where and how about everything! Costa drove us where we needed to go as did Gyorgo. Housekeeping cleaned our suite impeccably everyday!!
There were quads available to hire on site! Which we feel is a must to get around. The cost was reasonable. The suites where we stayed were there newest. They are spacious and well appointed. We stayed 4 nights and would without hesitation stay there again !! We feel we have made friends..

Stay was good but the convenience of the property was not accessible to everything as advertised. View was ok but a bit disappointed because It is not from Oia. The property was over priced for the location and convenience. The place is clean and well kept and view is good but not overwhelming. The employees of the property were nice compare from the overall experience from the locals. The locals could be friendlier accommodating from the tourist or people in general. Unpleasant experienced from most of the locals. From the amount of money I spent on a week vacation in Greece, I could have spent that in better country with friendly, hospitable, approachable better views for less than the price.

The hotel boasted a 10 min walk to Fira but is definitely more of a 20 minute uphill walk, part of which could leave you navigating dangerous blind curves in trafficked roads. Would be hard for elderly to make it. Room itself had dirty, scuffed floors and felt a little grimy overall compared to other places we stayed on the Island. We used the front desk to make a reservation for us for dinner and 5 minutes before we left they pounded on our door asking if we’d let AC repairmen into our room while we were gone “because it’s hard to get them to come out much and they’re here now”. We obliged but felt extremely uncomfortable having to leave our belongings in the room while they knew we were gone for hours. The pool area is very nice with a good sunRISE view, no sunset view. Airport is a quick 10 min drive away.

Upon arrival at property we noticed it was not as advertised. The bungalow that we rented had several maintenance issues. Frankly, the property looked “dated”. We informed reception that the wireless internet was not working in our block. Respond can’t fix it. We advised toilet was leaking raw sewage into floor when you flush the toilet and there was a strong smell of mold from under the kitchen sink. Response. NONE in the 6 days we stayed there other than they are completely booked and there are no refunds. So we were stuck. We prepaid for the room. I did the travelocity survey at check in and mentioned these issues. Hotel managements response was how could the property be dated when it was built in 2015. Well, guess it’s time to repaint the walls, floors and ceiling because the paint is warm off and peeling. No response to the water leak under kitchen sink or bathroom toilet. This hotel was somehow rated 4 out of 5 stars. Impossible. It made a cheap Motel 6 look luxurious. Frankly, it was very disappointing. Even the cushions on the living room couch were stained and soiled. It was a dump.

The hotel is in a fabulous location within easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping and transport. The staff are awesome and go out of their way to assist you and make you feel welcome. We had multiple heavy bags which they carried for us and in the last day, they picked us up from the local town to transfer us to the airport so we could shop for longer. We were provided with local knowledge of how to get around, places to visit and recommended restaurants etc. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff at this hotel, they were excellent and went above and beyond for us.

The room was spacious and immaculately clean with views down to the water from the patio. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Do not stay here at any cost the staff is very Rude with bad attitude. They need special training in hospitality industry & diversity, When you don't buy tours from them which are enormously high priced they change their attitude and get totally unhelpful. This place is so remote even taxis and tour companies dont know how to get there or want to pick up or drop you there. They charge Eu 5 for ride to town, & daily bfst. There are dogs and cats running around even in the dining room they dont even care if some guests may have allergy. Breakfast is same Basic everyday cereal toast boiled eggs left over god knows how old Bacon and scambled eggs that nobody touches. Hotel grounds are good but staff is Extremely rude and times feels like discriminatory based on your skin color. We were told flat out on our face they dont like to rent it to people from our country. we are from USA and proud to be american have never been treated this bad. . So did he mean they don't want Americans? There were personal comments made by one that your wife is a boss. Guess they don't like foreigners with brown skin & women. very bad if they think that way todays day and age. As airport transfer was included in their listing. We had notified them for airport transfer two days in advance and last minute he started giving us hard tine that he can choose not to give us ride and our flight was leaving in an hour and he started telling us to go get cab. They charged us Eu8 extra tax which was not on bkng

Rude employee at check in CAN ruin your trip

It takes a lot for me to write a review.
1) I have never been treated anywhere near as obnoxiously rudely as I was by this hotel. The employee who met us for our 12:30am check in was insulting, left us in the dark for 15 minutes while he went to his office, and complained loudly about having to check us in that late despite us arranging for it in advance. The employee spitefully suggested he might not give us the room and that we go find another place when we said that we booked an apartment with a balcony room, rather than the isolated bungalow he took us to. It bears repeating that he said these things in the middle of the night on an unfamiliar island, which was a little scary. I used to dismiss reviews of check-in as unimportant. However, this tainted our whole time on Santorini. The manager didn't seem concerned when we raised these issues to him, and sided with his employee. The manager certainly didn't offer any kind of consolation or discount.
2) We booked the place partly because it advertised a free airport shuttle. After we booked, they told us this was only free for people staying 3+ nights and only during certain hours. These details were not on the site or confirmation, and we showed that to them. They admitted it may have been a mistake but still refused to waive the charge.
3) I would recommend spending $10-40 extra per night for any other place than this.

Staff is very rude and location is so far from main road. To go to main road you have to walk 15 min on narrow dirt road. Breakfast iis not good. Also they said free air transportation but they charge me $20 and said this is becaus it is 6 am. So purely to robe people.

Thea Studios incredible stay⭐️

First impression was WOW!!! And there was no disappointment. Dimitri the owner and his staff were wonderful. The property has a beautiful view of the Mediterranean, a 10min wall to Fira. Breakfast was included and incredibly delicious (home made yogurt, jams, syrup made by Mom) best Frappe I have ever had. Dimitri recommended and had our excursion (catamaran booked in no time). He took care of and had a car rental for us in minutes. Pool area was beautiful and clean and Wifi actually worked!!
Would definitely book here again!!
Thanks to everyone at Thea Studios for an unforgettable time.

My family and I stayed here for a couple nights. On the whole it was a good experience, we only had issues with one of the rooms’ bathroom. There was a drainage issue that eventually was resolved, but it took a while for them to get to it. The hotel staff and owners were very pleasant and helpful with giving us tips on how to map out our stay.

Clean and comfortable, but not great

Overall our stay was good. The facility was very clean and comfortable. It is very out of the way if you don’t have a car. When walking you have to take a very odd/somewhat abandoned path that wasn’t mentioned when reading about the hotel. Not right in Thira. Pool had a nice view but we didn’t end up going because nothing was around and other than breakfast you had to order food in. The service was really terrible when we tried booking a sunset cruise; he started yelling at my friend in Greek (as she speaks greek) and was swearing because we left it last minute yet we were able to get spots for that afternoon no problem. Also they do not have a free shuttle to and from the port which is very inconvenient considering their location.

Manager's Response to Feedback Not Pleasant

My response to the manager who wasn't happy with my feedback: Please know that I was merely describing the hot tub as \"small\" and not criticizing it because it was small in a bad way. The hot tub can only fit one person. It's a matter of fact and I think potential customers would like to know that. Regarding the upgrade, I didn't know we were given a bigger room. We didn't ask for it but did appreciate it now that we know. In fact, I wrote that the room was nice with a small hot tub. But please don't assume that we weren't appreciative or happy of the upgrade especially when I wrote that \"the room was nice.\" Re-read my comments. Also, my comment of having to pay 70% of the hotel cost at the hotel and not during time of booking reservation was intended for hotels.com and not so much a criticism of your hotel. This is my first experience with hotels.com to pay at the hotel rather during booking. I think potential customers would like to know these things so that they can avoid these surprises when they get to your hotel. It makes it easier for travelers to take care of the financial aspect of lodging prior to taking a trip. That's why we apologized to you for the misunderstanding and you yourself mentioned that many of your customers have complained about this. Lastly, your staff has been very helpful and did provide a lot of information. You as the manager could have thanked us for staying at your hotel and at least asked how our stay was. But you didn't.

Comfy, friendly, clean, quiet!

We stayed there for 4 nights and loved it. We arrived late at night and a complimentary shuttle picked us up from the airport. Breakfast - again complimentary - had enough choices, coffee was good, yogurt was fresh and tasted fantastic with three types of homemade marmalade (made by Dmitry's - the owner - mother). Pool was great for cooling off after walking around in the heat. Dmitry is fun to be around and very helpful. He arranged a caldera cruise for us at a short notice and planned out the things we should do during the stay. He can arrange a rental car or one can rent ATVs from the hotel itself. For the price of a taxi the hotel staff will drop you off wherever you want to go and also pick you up if you make the arrangement. Staff was very meticulous and efficient about cleaning the room daily. It is close enough to Fira downtown, restaurants and grocery stores (within 10-15 minutes walk) yet away from the strip so that one can enjoy the views in quietude. Added bonus: two resident dogs who keep sleeping across the door to Dmitry's office. Will go to Santorini again and stay at this place.

Notes: (i) take your INTERNATIONAL driving license in case you want to rent a car/ATV unless you want to take the risk of paying hefty fines (improbable but possible) (ii) avoid driving because roads are narrow cliff-hangers on the west side without any railings, bus drivers can be reckless and it may be a while before you can get any medical attention.

This is a simply lovely property. We stayed here during the very end of the off season, right as things were starting to pick up, and so they were able to give us a free upgrade for the first three nights. We stayed in a larger room with a Hot Tub. However we would have loved it either way. There was free breakfast included with the stay which is always a perk when travelling on a budget. I don't know what they do to the eggs, but they might have been the best eggs I've ever eaten. We were able to hire an ATV for a day which was an excellent way to explore the island, and they gave us a lift to the Airport on our way out. I could not recommend this place higher.
One small note of caution. It's about a 15 minute walk outside Fira, and there is a narrow stretch of road about half way that is pretty treacherous as far as traffic is concerned. This is only an issue if you're mostly travelling by foot/bus... which I would recommend because the island is small and overrun with tourists.

Wonderful staff

Thea studios is a lovely, quiet space just outside of the main town of Fira. It's a short walk into town, but it still quiet. The villas and pool setting are beautiful and the individual apartments are clean and comfortable with good ac. The best thing about our visit was how helpful the staff was in answering any questions for us, specifically Alexis. He really made our stay!

Excellent property, just what my wife and i needed for a day in Santorini. The shuttle ride from the airport took about 7 minutes. Since we were only staying one night, there was a €20 fee each way, which is a bit steep for less than 15 minutes total. The owner was fantastic, giving recommendations for what to do. Room was spacious and comfortable. Pool area was very relaxing. Overall good value for the room price.

We picked this hotel for its location , 15min walk to Fia but not in town. We booked a basic room based on the photos & description, the first night we were in a small room with a sleeping loft which did not match the description of what we booked or workable for us. A word with owner in the morning had us moved to what we expected with no problems at all.
The kitchenettes in these rooms were very basic & not susceptible for cooking main meals, (this may be different in the deluxe suits) but this was compensated by excellent breakfast's.
We arranged for a pick up from the ferry & to the air port which is definitely worth it.
ATV are available to rent if required. A great place just make shore if the room & location fits your needs before booking.

Lovely Staff, Lovely Stay

The staff truly made the stay a special experience. From the moment of arrival to departure, we were made to feel accomodated and taken care of by all of the staff. Alexis deserves special recognition for being so attentive and continuously going the extra mile to make our trip easy and enjoyable.

The breakfast buffet was lovely with a good range of options. There isn't a bar however, not being far from Fira there were many options there.

We loved that we could hire ATV/quad bikes directly from the hotel and that they offer a taxi service along with free airport shuttle themselves too which was also useful as we did not hire a car. We got everywhere that we needed to with ease at any time of the day.

We stayed in the suite with the hot tub which was a lovely extra, the hot tub works and functions well. It was nice to cool off there after a long day. There are also scenic views from the suite and pool area.

Overall, we had a fantastic and memorable stay so, I do recommend this accomodation when visiting Fira (Also just 15mins from Airport)

A hidden gem!

Santorini is a beautiful island and an excellent vacation spot. We explored the island driving around and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the landscape all over! Shops, restaurants and clubs are everywhere and people are very nice, helpful and friendly. It is a must see place and I will always go back.

Good Hotel but No Wifi in room

No wifi for the duration of our stay... this is important to us and it was frustrating at times to walk over to the pool area to get Wifi, which was a bit unreliable as well. It's about a ten minute walk to Fira Main Street. Despite this, great guy who runs the place. Very friendly, he even tried to fix the wifi problem.

Secluded hotel but near Fira

Hotel is located on the sunrise side of the island. The back side has a nice view of the sunrise. The facilities were well kept. The shower in both rooms we occupied were awkward to use but both had good strong hot water. Both rooms were nice and had very good accessories, stove/ hot plate with utensils, full fefrigerator, housekeeping was excellent.

What a great experience all around!

We had an amazing time at Thea Studios! The staff was so friendly and so helpful when I messed up my reservation they were so quick to accommodate us! The apartment was great, and was super clean every day! The breakfast was amazing and again, the staff was fantastic! It's so close to Fira Square, it was really easy to get everywhere! I cannot wait to go back next year!
