El lugar muy lindo, aunque no era como esperaba según lo que vi en las fotos. El baño tenía mal olor todo el tiempo y la ducha era pequeña y se mojaba todo al baño cada vez que nos duchábamos. Podría mejorar.

We've just arrived home from our week at the Melina Hotel. It's a lovely family run hotel in a great location. It's a very short walk to the bus station and the centre of Fira. The staff could not be more helpful and helped with ideas of things to do and places to eat. A lovely breakfast is provided. There is a lovely pool with sun loungers and umbrellas. The rooms are a good size with small fridge and the shower room has space for toiletries. The only slight downside is that we did find it a little noisy being at the front with busy road but closing the shutters did help. Bed is a little too hard for us but we would definitely go back.

Perfect Stay Close to Fira’s Highlights

This hotel was the perfect base for our time in Santorini. The pool was a great spot to relax and beat the crowds, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient—just a few minutes’ walk from the bus station and the famous sunset viewpoints in Fira.

Our room was cool, comfortable, and had a lovely balcony with views overlooking the east side of the island, which was a peaceful contrast to the busy caldera side. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying each morning, and the staff were always friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a great stay.

Highly recommend for anyone wanting comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere while staying in Fira.

This is a very beautiful hotel right next to all amenities like Bus station in Fira and the Fira shopping square,both are just 5 and 10 minute walk respectively.
Melina is an extraordinary host who hoes over and beyond to look after all the guests.
I would certainly recommended for a nice family stay close to Fira centre square.The pool is also well maintained.

Fantastic last minute stay, the owner was so welcoming and helped us with ideas for places to see on the island. The hotel is in a great location, the grounds and pool are lovely and all very clean. Room was perfect nice balcony, air con, fridge with water and very modern bathroom. Breakfast was relaxed and fresh food with lovely coffee and omelette. Very nice family run hotel, just minutes walk from the main square of Fira! It is a little dated and the beds are very firm but great for what we needed. Breakfast was a cold continental selection but adequate, I would recommend!

Upon check in, Melina went over the map of the nearby town of Fira with us. She was incredibly helpful and offered excursions and restaurant suggestions that we did and loved during our stay. The location of the hotel is great, about a 5-10 min walk to Fira and away from most of the noise from the crowds. Our onlh two concerns were that we were on our honeymoon but received a room with two twin beds instead of a double. There was a pull out couch in the room that we slept on instead. Also, to keep things in the fridge, we needed electricity, but your key powered the electricity in the room. So if you left your room, the fridge stopped keeping cold. Aside from those two items, the pool was lovely, the sunrises were picturesque and the breakfast was delicious!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Melina's hotel. We were welcomed by Melina and her friendly staff and they treated us like family during our entire stay. They gave us many great tips about the island, helped us organize excursions and whenever we needed something they were there to help. The breakfast was a nice touch with excellent food choices (especially the salad :)). We would definitely return to Melina's and we highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Beautiful grounds lots of flowers. A little back from the caldera but that is why it’s cheaper and quieter. Rooms were small, basic but clean. Only amenity is soap. You get one towel each and one pillow. Beds were not overly comfortable. Both our rooms had a nice balcony Upon arriving we were given a map of the area and good information. Very easy to get to the caldera, bus transfer, restaurants and shopping. Biggest downside was in one of our rooms the toilet was leaking on each flush. This was reported and never addressed. Stepping over urine on the floor is not great. Breakfast was sufficient.

Pretty Hotel, Good Location in Fira

Very pretty, modern little hotel in Fira. The manager was very helpful and knowledgeable about what to do and see in Santorini, and arranged excursions for us. The hotel is also very close to the bus station and central Fira, which made geting around Santorini without a car very easy. A great option for someone wanting to visit Santorini for the first time and avoid a car rental.

My experience was wonderful. Many thanks to Melina and Yanni they were amazing. Our rooms were clean and beautiful, the pool area very spacious and clean, and offered a delicious breakfast every morning that was freshly made. Very short walk to town with breathtaking views and shops. While staying there my daughter got an ear infection, Melina made all the doctors visit arrangements and even had her brother Yanni drive us to the doctors office. What can I say, they were both amazing I highly recommend anyone staying here!

The employees at the front desk were nice and extremely helpful. Breakfast was good and the hotel was extremely clean. The only thing is the beds were a little uncomfortable and the shower was super small. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay

Amazing Vacation

Melina Hotel is a great hotel for price and location! We LOVED our stay here! Breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day. A short walk to the bus stop that can take you to any location you like on the island. Also a short walk to Fira, which is the best town to be closest to on the island. Would go back.

Quaint and comfortable hotel

We stayed three nights at the Melina Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The hotel was clean and relatively comfortable. Our room was near the pool, which was very nice. Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety each day. The best part was the staff! The owner was extremely helpful with providing directions to various must-see spots and provided a great map. The hotel is a five-minute walk from the town and tour buses, which was quite convenient. We were lucky to find this hotel and plan to stay there again, should we make it to Santorini again.

Very disappointing

Got locked in the room twice. Fire hazard. The toilet smelled like sewage. The towels were dirty and hard. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The couch looked like it hadn't been clean in years. The breakfast was atrocious with grilled cheese , old toast , a pundcake and an egg. The staff was not friendly although helpful at times. Made us feel uncomfortable and stupid when we got locked in our room and our safety was in danger

We had a brilliant time at the Melina Hotel. The pool was beautiful and never crowded. We were given brilliant service. It's such a personal hotel as it's a family run business. The owner went above and beyond to help us out and really made our stay in Santorini. The hotel is only a few minutes walk into the centre of Thira and was perfect for our short stay.

Good option

Very nice small hotel, very clean with nice and helpful staff. Location has some plus and minus: you can get that by car and also has parking, it is close to the central bus station and the main square, but walking uphill through the public parking lot to get to the town may not please everybody.

Very basic hotel in the heart of Fira town

Very basic hotel but also quite expensive here in summer time at Santorini. Very good location as it is close to the bus station and the central town of Santorini which is Fira. Next time we will probably stay somewhere in Oia (IA) where pictured on most postcards.

Hotel is in a great location, just 5 mins to the Centre and the bus terminal.

Staff were helpful, giving us a great rundown of the area and helping to carry our suitcases up the 2 flights of stairs.

Hotel is great if you're on a budget and not planning on spending too much time in the room. The shower is small, with a shower curtain that sticks to you while showering! The bed was a little hard and the pillows too soft for our liking.

Breakfast consisted of a toasted ham & cheese sandwich, chocolate croissant, toast, jams, yogurt and boiled egg.

Very picturesque hotel

Enjoyed our stay at the Melina. Good breakfast, great pool, clean. Helpful staff.
Good location, short walk to the centre.
My only issue was with doors in the room. They dragged across the floor when you opened them and they made a lot of noise. I was concerned that I would disturb the other guests. A little bit of TLC was needed.
The hotels friendly dog Hector came to see us a few times while we lounged by the pool.

Basic Hotel

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a very basic hotel so ok if you do not plan to spend much time there. Pros: The location was in a quiet area and only 5mins walk to Fira. Room was quiet and strong air conditioning. Breakfast was nice however there was no variety (mostly bread) and the same each morning.
Cons: The room was basic and there were some issues as our door and we got locked out one evening.The reception was closed so we had to give the owners an emergency call. They came immediately however it took an hour to fix and there was no apology for the hassle caused for us. There was also no wifi in our room.

Also, the transfer from airport cost is incorrect on the website. It was 10 euros each for single trip and not 6 euros round trip.

I would not recommend hiring an ATV through the hotel. For the price we paid, we got a really poor quality/old one where one side mirror was missing and the storage container did not lock.

The pool was great, surrounded by beautiful flowers. Hotel was a little run down with raggedy towels. Breakfast was boring--same every day. But the location was excellent. Very near the bus terminal and to restaurants and the stroll along the lovely caldera view.

Good breakfast, nice pool, no blankets, wifi woeful - did not get it to back up at all during stay if 3 nights, Could not connect. & when you did nothing much happened. .aircon worked, shower cube was very small & the curtain stuck to you all the time. We had two blown light bulbs that were never replaced. Needed blankets & had to strip the spare bed. You are close to bus station & the public carpark # 3 but no where near the cauldron the outlook is the other side of the island. It us quite but you have to walk through the dark carpark to get back.

This hotel is a little far from the activity center, i.e. Caldera of Thira. You have to walk uphill. Way back to hotel is thru a dark parking lot. It is also far from the beach. Front desk not very helpful with info.

Great location and very friendly staff. Easy walk to Fira. Breakfast included which was a real plus. Very clean. We arrived very early in the morning - 7 am and they accommodated us. We were hoping just to leave our luggage and they were able to check us in early. So glad we stayed there and would definitely stay there again.

Very nice hotel - safe choice. Only 5 min walk to town. Pool for hot days.

Staff helpful trying to get in contact to confirm out next hotel when technology let us down.

Only down side was the cleaning woman insisted on knocking on our door at 930 every morning when we were not yet up!

Helt enkelt hotel midt i byen

Helt ok hotell, innsjekkingen var litt merkelig da mannen i resepsjonen snakket på gresk med taxisjåføren i stedet for å si hei til oss.
Vi fant ut at det var fordi han hadde brukket 2 ribbein å behøvde taxisjåførens hjelp til å bære koffertene våre. Han kunne jo bare sagt det til oss, så hadde vi bært selv uten problem . I stedet ble det en litt klein tur til rommet der jeg forsøkte å overbevise resepsjonisten at jeg kunne bære selv, men han ville ikke gi seg🙈
Sengene er harde, og rommet helt enkelt.
Bærer preg av 2 stjerner.
Bassenget er fint og ett deilig avbrekk fra den super trafikkerte veien rett utenfor.
Om Kvelden/natten er støyen fra partygata merkbar, spesielt om det blåser litt.
Helt ok for 2 netter og midt i byen , noe som gjør det enkelt å ta seg rundt til fots.

otel più che consigliato, vicino al centro, raggiungibile con una breve passeggiata, ma lontano dal caos, con un utile parcheggio e una graziosa piscina. Sicuramente con tante alternative chic a Santorini questa vince per rapporto qualità/prezzo! Meline e suo fratello son stati molto gentili dispensando consigli, cartine, prenotazioni! Super séjour

Nous avons été reçu avec une grande attention par Melina la propriétaire des lieux. Conseils avisés, réservation excursion bateau, taxis coup de téléphone pour appeler le loueur de scooters en retard et puis d'une totale gentillesse. C'est un hôtel familial et on se rend bien compte qu'elle s'attache à satisfaire au mieux sa clientèle. Je ne sais pas si je reviendrai à Santorin un jour mais je retournerai sans hésitation au Melina hôtel. Précision d'importance, l'hôtel est à 10 mn à pied du centre ville de Fira, du passage devant l'hôtel car sur la route d'Oia mais pas un problème pour nous. Merci Melina
