The Lady work on front desk is very rude. i get an executive room and i got a basic room. for price of Executive. Only put 1 towel in my room, hair dryer not work. no iron available and if i get borrow an iron she charge me extra. But the worst part is the service. just very bad attitude. like lady as slow as business was and your bad reviews, why be mean? go find another job. Terrible experience. Many other good hotels to pick.

- THE STAIRS (your room may have anywhere between 20 - 146 steps each turn), then add the steps in town… be ready!
- No Pool
- Towels, I got charged €45 because they deemed I ruined their towels. (Cash grab)

This property was a mess. The views are beautiful but we also booked this because of the pool. The pool was closed the entire time we were there and this was not communicated to us before arriving when they knew it would be closed during our stay. Our room also had no hot water and ants. We then were switched to another room that had no wifi. We were also called into the lobby about our towels being dirty after using them, but they’re dirty towels? I believe we were the only people here and I can see why. Will not be returning and am requesting a partial refund.

This is a no frills property. And if you can’t do stairs, don’t book here. We booked knowing that there were a lot of stairs. To get to our room was over 100 stairs. But the view was spectacular and right in the heart of Santorini. the breakfast was good but very limited selections; again, a no frills property. If you have rolling luggage, you can get assistance but only during certain hours, so be mindful of that. We used the pool and it was great. The price definitely is in line for what you get. The staff were very helpful.

Poor infrastructure.

Arrived late at night and reception was waiting for us which is good. But it was not safe when given a room far down from the cliff with no lighting for half of it down the stairs. We walked probably close to 100 steps down with our luggage without any help. Everything about this hotel is more basic than basic, things are old and broken but not fixed, reflected by the price but still pretty disappointing with such superb location.

Breath taking views, room 21 had a spectacular view day and night. Food options everywhere. What I was a little disappointed was the condition of the prop. Def need to do touch up painting, rooms, hotel walls, etc. Breakfast had only the same daily options. I’m DF and GF which made it a challenge but not a deal breaker. The breakfast attendant was a super happy man! Same smile every day! Swimming pool area needs a pick me up but loved the view from the outer edge of the pool! Location was perfect half b/t Oia and Kamari. Local buses were plenty. Cabs are pricey, rented a quad and that was totally brill! Eat at Obelix - best gyros hands down! I ate there 4 times in 5 days! Def will be back but will stay on the southern end of the island. The magical spell of Santorini captured my heart forever! The best 55th bday trip EVER!!!! Ty Loucas on the Cliff.

They gave us standard room even when we pre booked and paid for a superior room. They won’t change our room since our room was already given to someone else. The standard room was 2 twin beds not ideal for a couple. The bathroom and shower were not upto par. We are working with Expedia for a difference refund but its an inconvenience for us to continue follow up on that.

Other than that, the breakfast service and view was great. The location was in the heart of everything!

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL .I REPEAT DO NOT.
I was absolutely disgusted that they refused to give any refund back of any sort. My brother and I booked 2 rooms and 1 being for my parents who are in their mid 70s. We had no choice to pull out when we turned up as it was impossible to go down 4 flights of long steep stairs and back up. Especially for my father who has a heart condition. Firstly it was a nightmare to find and no directions how to get there.
If you have children good luck with luggage also.
To not even have any compassion about my elderly parents and refuse to give back $0 is immoral and unethical. Shame on the owner..If you had parents in that situation I'm sure you would be absolutely horrified. If you want to treat people poorly in this way it will eventually all come back to you. Nobody is greater than God just remember that.
This put extra stress on my elderly parents this situation. We travelled a long way to enjoy but to refuse to give back any refund of any sort is heartless. How about you inform people from the beginning that it isn't suitable for young families and elderly people.
I will continue to fight this and I'm also disgusted in Expedia for also supporting this immoral decision. Clearly by supporting a decline for a refund you are also supporting a bad practice. Where is the humanity from management??????. Do you actually feel good about taking people's money. This is a serious safety case and you showed zero compassion.God bless!

We stayed 3 nights here and the only friendly person was Helena who greeted us upon arrival. There was an elderly lady during the day who did not even say hello when we entered the reception area. When we left, the guy did not even say hello and we were done without our checkout, he walks around the desk and I have to ask are done. He says yes.

The property has good views of the caldera. Like many of the hotels, there are many steps. We had a deluxe room with view of the caldera and a balcony. The lights on the patio did not work. The room was very basic. The bathroom was ok but the hose by the toilet leaked and would cause the toilet paper to get wet.

Breakfast was included with our stay only to find out that they gave you what they prepared and you have no choice. There was scrambled eggs that were cooked in a casserole and they were hard. There was yogurt, meats and cheese, bread, coffee and juice. Overall, very mediocre and we did not go back for breakfast the next mornings.

Overall, it average at best. The views are ok but we stayed a little to the left of the hotel previously and that had much better views and better experience.

The room had a great view but not without a little work. Had to go up stairs with a low ceiling to get to the balcony. (Think it was a triple room?) Wouldn't suggest for older people/couples. The property was nice, just a little different. (My room was a cave) Not your typical American hotel, that's for sure. It does take a LOT of steps to get to and from the property. I wouldn't suggest it for a family with young kids or the elderly. I personally don't mind the exercise, so not a big deal for me.
Some things I really enjoyed about the property-

1. The location- 1-2 min walk to food and shopping.
2. The breakfast- Massive breakfast for one person. Could've easily served 3 people.
3. The bar- Amazing view of the caldera and drinks were great. (Offer hookah/sheesh as well)
4. The pool- though a little small, still nice to have.
5. Staff- Friendly

Great place to stay! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The views are great. The A/C works great. All of the main attractions of Fira are right next to you. Only cons are many stairs (would not recommend for elderly people who struggle with moving), cars cannot reach the entrance and you will have to walk with luggage for .2 miles roughly, you can hear your neighbor clearly, and the bed is a little hard ( I don’t mind but others might). All in all, it’s a great place in the heart of Santorini.

The property was great however our room was all the way at the bottom which required 600 steps up and down each way. My wife had a knee problem and there was no other room available. Highly recommend to check with Hotle before you book it. Bathroom has minor damage and the jacuzzi was out of order which really messed my kids mood. Other than that great view from our room.

The hotel was set on the side of a cliff, providing stunning views. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. All of the facilities that we used were great. The breakfasts were good, with ample choice to cover all dietary needs. The hotel had a relaxed atmosphere but beware, there are numerous steep steps and the hot water is very very hot.

Generally, good location for caldera view depending on room allocated and the price you pay (seems to be many offers on out of the peak season)
Overall tge placed needs refreshed & due to the rooms being hollowed out of cliff dampness is a challenge (thus comments on rusted bathroom fitting) so it had humidifier in room to try to minimise this.
Strange high pitched wind noise from bathroom fan during the night.
Breakfast was good: They served omelette, bacon, mushrooms & cake, breads and spreads Yoghurt, OJ Coffee/Teas
NB-Pool not open until May & at time of visit the bar wasn’t open either

The room was pretty nice, room for 5 to sleep. The beds weren't all that comfortable, though, and the sheets came off while we were sleeping. There is no shower curtain in the shower, I assume as a design, but this was not practical since the the holder for the shower head was of poor quality, so water sprayed all over the bathroom. No way to control it. Breakfast was good.

This hotel is beautiful with an amazing view. The staff are increible and friendly. Special mention to the host, she was lovely, helpful, gave restaurant recommendations, hunted down ATVs for us and organised our transport back to the airport . It was much appreciated and we had a beautiful stay.

I consider this property a trade off of sorts. The location and staff were great. The views were stunning from each of the rooms. However, other travelers may want to be warned of the \"stair\" situation. My room was located at the very bottom of the property--- 165 steps from the bottom to the street level. In addition, the rooms themselves were \"youth hostile-like\" at best with probably the WORST mattress I've ever slept on. The amenities were sporadic at best. One day I didn't get towels....the next I got towels but no toiletries. The staff was accommodating an brought me both when asked, but the facilities themselves were just tired, towels were frayed, and as I mentioned, the bed was awful. Staff was friendly and nice and I give the porters huge kudos given they carried our luggage up and down the stairs.....which was a miserable hike up and down the stairs.

This property was very well located. Had beautiful seating area and a bar at the top. Many restaurants around and bus station near by to go to Oia. The room itself was nice but i was disappointed of the balcony as it wasn’t a private one. The pictures shown for the room I booked weren’t accurate at all. In the pictures it showed a private balcony with straight volcano view. The balcony we got wasn’t. It was a shared balcony and you had to go around to see the volcano. I brought this up tot the receptionist and she said there were just generic pictures and you get what you get. The room itself was called executive triple room volcano view. Music from the bar is loud and it plays until 2 or 3 am but that wasn’t really an issue for us. The first night we kept getting a machine sound in our room not sure what is was coming from but we didn’t sleep well. The second night the sound was gone so we were able to sleep more until we checked out. Checking out was exhausting as there was noone to help us with our luggages. The hotel has many stairs down so this was a huge issue for us since we were 2 ladies plus a senior one. We reserved a taxi from the hotel but he wasn’t able to help and we had to meet him at a meeting point all the way up. Is too bad the hotel didn’t offer other options or try to help us find someone to carry up our luggages at a earlier time. I would recommend checking out during office hours if you stay at this hotel otherwise you are on your own.

Traumatizing experience

I do not recommend visiting this hotel if you are a solo traveller. One of their staff members came to my room window to spy on me. I reported it to the receptionist, who first denied that anything like that happened. I was in tears, explaining that I did not feel safe and did not want to stay for my trip. The managers and overnight receptionist did not take my complaint seriously at the initial report. The following morning, I called the police. They were receptive and understanding. I booked for two nights, and although I did not stay for the entire two nights, they did not offer me a refund. This was the worst experience I have had anywhere in the world.

The location couldn’t be better, incredibly views. The restaurant and bar if you want to see the sunset or have a quiet moment is great!
The unit we had lacked of shelves or counters in the bathroom and room our three day stay we had to leave everything in the suitcases. We happened to be under the bar don’t accept a room there if you are planning to sleep before 2:30AM the music shook our room until then. Also, we didn’t have hot water for two days. Another tip, once you are dropped in Fira call the hotel to come and help with your suitcases as there is no access by car and if you are traveling with a large suitcase and family it’s tough to navigate with the hills, steps and people. We definitely could stay there again but the hotel should consider who gets our unit, we didn’t have time to switch units, the rest of our group had a better experience.

NEVER stay at Loucas on the Cliff

The location of the hotel was great, central to everything and the views of the sea are incredible. That’s about all that is good about this hotel. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable, each guest gets one pillow equivalent to a coach airline pillow (they would not give us additional), there is a nightclub in the hotel that is open until 3am so that noise penetrates the rooms. And worst of all, our toilet did not work, they could not fix it as they have no after hours maintenance staff and were sold out so could not move us. We had to go up 4 flights of stairs to the night club to use a toilet. We asked for some type of compensation and were told they don’t do that. They did not apologize or empathize in any way which would have cost them nothing and would have at least made me feel a little less angry about this experience. I will never stay here again.

I am going to start off by saying that this hotel is average. The staff are very nice and help you with any questions you may have. They even carried our luggage down to our room for us. Some of the downsides of this hotel include. I booked a room with one bed and ended up getting a room with two twin beds, however I did not want to be that person and complain so we made things work. The room itself is okay. We had an issue where the Toilet would not stop running so we were forced to have the door shut the whole time. The shower is small and weird, it would only run hot water for a little bit so by the end you were in a cold shower. An upside, the room did have a safe, so we could keep the important things safe and have a comfortable feeling leaving the room. As stated before, staff is very nice, they do house keeping every day, give us new towels make the beds and clear garbages. Overall, if I was on a budget again, I would book this hotel again, but just be aware of a few flaws.

I think we got the wrong room. We were supposed to get a room with a different and better view but nonetheless it was a very nice stay and to be honest no matter what room you stayed in, the view is espectacular. The staff are super friendly and super nice. The breakfast was amazing. Everything is close by so it was amazing to walk around. Will definitely be staying there again if I go again.

This property was totally false advertised. The room I received was awful. Directly next door to my door only 5 feet away was a junk construction room with no door or window installed and all the construction/storage thrown inside. This was my view from the shared patio I had to look at. Black mold on the tile in the bathroom. The jacuzzi below my room was filthy with brown water and not in use and needed upgrading from it falling apart. No one to help with luggage. I had to carry my heavy luggage all the way from the Taxi drop off zone, then through the Fira shops and restaurants and many many stairs just to arrive to the lobby then was expected to carry them down to my room another 100 stairs. The reception man helped me carry my suitcase but complained about it the whole time saying this is not his job. Then once I saw the room, I decided I would not stay there and I had to carry ALL of my luggage back up the stairs by myself making several trips to get it all. When I asked for a refund he laughed at me. I said shame on you for false advertising this hotel. The pictures online make it look very glamorous but the room I received was less than 3 stars. I never give reviews but this one was worth taking the time to do it so no one else has to spend their time and money here. Maybe had they given me a refund, I would have been more kind. This is not the 1st impression one wants to receive when arriving in BEAUTIFUL SANTORINI! Especially being left to find another hotel at 8pm

Avoid this disgusting hotel!!!!!!!

It was the worst hotel I have ever seen!
The rooms are disgusting dirty. There were traces of hair and urine in the toilet under the lid. The bedsheets are covered with human hair with yellow marks. The floors in the room are very slippery and you can break your legs if you are not careful!!!
Photos do NOT correspond to reality at all !!! Misleading photos! The only room in the photo is number 13. The executive room we booked was number 13 and didn't even come close to the one we were given. They then showed us another room which was completely downhill and not the same as the one we had booked.
The staff are unfriendly and don't care when you point them and they just say we don't have any other rooms and we won't do anything about cleaning. They do not have the photos of the rooms that they provided to us in their profile on hotels.com.
WIFI doesn't working! They gave us 5 different wifi passwords but none of them worked.
There was no refund, even Hotels.com disappointed us by stating that there was nothing they could do about it. We immediately booked a new hotel as it was disgusting to stay there.
Avoid this place if you don't want to lose money, there are excellent 4 star hotels for the same price.
