We had a wonderful stay at Katikies Garden Santorini. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a room with our own private spa/pool, which made the experience feel extra special.
The hotel itself is beautiful, set within a restored former monastery that gives it so much character and charm. The rooms are luxurious, with Bvlgari amenities adding a lovely touch, and everything was immaculately presented.
The staff were exceptional throughout our stay—warm, attentive, and always happy to help with recommendations or anything we needed.
One of the highlights was the rooftop pool overlooking the caldera. The views are absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. Breakfast is à la carte rather than buffet style, with a great selection of fresh, high-quality dishes each morning. There's also a boutique onsite featuring a beautifully curated collection of designer clothing, which is worth browsing.
The only thing to be aware of is that, like much of Santorini, there are a lot of steps due to the hotel's unique layout, so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
Overall, this was a luxurious and memorable stay in a stunning setting. We'd happily return and would highly recommend Katikies Garden to anyone looking for a peaceful, high-end experience in Santorini.

A beautiful hotel set in an old monastery. It’s a beautiful hotel with fantastic views out to sea. We open our bedroom curtains on the first day with the sea in front of us and the sun rising. Could not be matched! Alexander, the hotel manager, was always friendly and helpful. He set the right tone for the great service we received. Breakfast was amazing d served in the restaurant set in the courtyard in the centre of the hotel around the fountain. The town of Fira was just a minute away and everything was easily found. The views of the town, the islands and the sunset are all amazing. This hotel was all we hoped. Loved it and would recommend.

Nestled in the heart of Fira, this hotel boasts an ideal location just steps from the vibrant central square. The staff's exceptional hospitality truly elevated our stay, with every team member demonstrating genuine care and attentiveness to ensure a memorable experience. We were particularly grateful for Damiano, whose outstanding service and thoughtful gestures went above and beyond. From seamless assistance to warm interactions, the staff's dedication shone through. For an unforgettable stay in Fira, this hotel is an impeccable choice.

Damien was a wonderful representation for the hotel and made our stay so enjoyable!

Without a doubt, this hotel deserves the accolade “Leading Small Hotels of the World”
A stunning property, a palatial room, top class staff and the perfect location.

Breakfast service was not pleasant because the staff didn't explain the food, poor quality, and they even forgot the cutlery for some food.

The hotel setting is very tranquil. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very large and the patio pool was a nice touch. The breakfast was one of the best during our time in Greece. Definitely a 5+stars.

Unbelievable

Everything about this hotel was absolutely perfect. Breakfast each morning was a highlight - Annastasis was the perfect waiter who knew my husband's coffee order by the second day. The rooms, hot tubs, pool were impeccable. The service was outstanding. Highly recommend and thank you for a magical stay!
nazifa
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff went above and beyond to take care of our needs. Food was top notch. We were welcomed by hotel front desk person Diana, she was the nicest. Highly recommend this hotel’s hospitality.
Shadi
Close proximity to main area, great pool as well!
Tina
Amazing stay Katikies Garden Santorini. Our suites were spacious with very comfortable beds, a rain shower system and all the amenities. The staff and service is top notch. The daily breakfast included was incredible. The spa service was great. Location is central and easy walking distance to everything. It’s very quiet and serene. The infinity pool is extremely relaxing. The only negative was the drinks by the pool were a little pricey. Overall, one of our best stays.
Natalie
This hotel was beautiful and located very conveniently in Fira. Location was easy to walk to the main area of Fira for shopping and dining. The staff was so nice and welcoming, and they even gave us a complimentary room upgrade. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was amazing and the rooms were very clean. The pool was relaxing and had incredible views. My husband and I were sad to only stay here one night. I would definitely stay here again.
Kritika
Loved our stay here . Lovely staff ,fantastic room and very central location .
Holly
Beautiful and unique property with a great location. It is only a couple minutes walk to many shops and restaurants. Our room was lovely and well furnished.
mary
If you stay here, be prepared to go up and down many steps! It’s like a maze. You forget where your room is. There are steps in your room. While it’s a beautiful place, not user friendly!
CHILING
Overall service is very good, but is not running as efficiently as we would like. We put “do not disturb” sign, but cleaning staff still came to our room and threw our own belongings. They speak very limited English.
Ajay
Great location. Wonderful staff. Breakfast fresh served not buffet and was great.
steven
This property has stairs everywhere, many uneven and without handrails. We recognize this is because it is a very old building but handrails would help. Also, getting into the tub to shower in our room required climbing over a 12-14” tub height wall. Guests we met didn’t want to risk their safety and chose not to shower during their stay.
Breakfast was wonderful. Dinners were quite pricey and we didn’t opt to try those.
Hotel booked us on a catamaran dinner cruise that was mediocre and bus driver forgot to drop us off at our hotel so he made us walk 15 minute walk back.
TV had trouble for three out of four nights. We couldn’t watch anything.
Staff was very friendly.

Although only for a one night stay before our flight, this hotel was like a mini break in itself.
Beautiful grounds, the pool is stunning and there was enough space (although it was low season).
Breakfast is an experience in itself and absolutely delicious. It’s a la carte but included, which feels really special.
The only one thing that surprised me, was that we didn’t get a turn down service - this is always a really nice touch for a luxury hotel/residence that we had from other hotels during our stay in Santorini. It’s a bit 1st world problems… but it does make a 5 star feel 5 star.
The hotel is about 10 minutes walk into town via the one path (which is super busy), but make sure to get there for sunset as that really is breathtaking.
Thira itself for food is ok. Make sure to have a glass of Blanc de Blancs in the wine bar before heading out, seems to be the only place on the island that serves decent wine by the glass haha.

We cannot speak highly enough about this hotel and the incredible staff who run it. The staff genuinely treat each other like family, and this warmth extends to all the guests who stay with them. Nothing is too much trouble for the team—they are friendly, courteous, and truly make you feel at home.
The hotel itself is outstanding. The pool offers an unbelievable view, and the rooms are some of the best we have ever stayed in. Shout out to Alex, the hotel manager—you are one of the kindest people we have ever met. The friendship you showed our family during our stay was truly remarkable. We would visit again just to catch up with you.
This hotel and its team are simply amazing. Thank you again for having us.

Incredibly accomodating staff. Impeccably clean. Conveniently located in the heart of Fira.

Had the most amazing stay at this property. The staff was super friendly and made sure I was taken care of. They even upgraded me to a suite with a pool. Can’t get any better than that right ? Definitely would be coming back to this property with my family and recommend it to everyone looking for a luxurious stay! 10/10

Patricia
What a special hotel. This converted monastery is very lovely—everything about it was top-notch! Would highly recommend it! Very centrally located too.
Irene
This property is gorgeous. Fabulous view. In the heart of Fira for dining and shopping.
The included breakfast was exceptional and the service was excellent. Athenasia was such a pleasure to deal with. She made sure our stay was comfortable and arranged for any transfers that we needed. Poolside with a book was the perfect way to end our vacation and we look forward to coming back. 10/10

Beautiful property, formerly a monastery. New facility (about 4 years). Excellent, spacious rooms. Outstanding staff. Excellent restaurant (expensive but worth the price). Stunning views from the pool. Compares well to any high end boutique hotel in the US. Only downside is that the outside tubs are not heated (so not really usable until the peak of summer).
Cara
We couldn't have asked for a better stay here in Santorini! The staff, especially Irene at the front desk, made our stay such a wonderful experience. From the moment we checked in we were offered fresh lemonade to cool off and Irene offered our 2 year old daughter a balloon which made her day! We were then taken by a staff member to tour the property and our bags were brought to our room. We had a private jetted tub overlooking the sea which was absolutely stunning! We enjoyed our turn down service that evening as the staff left us slippers, chocolates, and boxed water. We also enjoyed the hotel breakfast as well which was incredible! The hotel is in the perfect location to easily walk to all of the shops and dining options in Fira. We truly loved our stay and can't wait to come back!
Margaret
Fabulous hotel very central
What a wonderful hotel. The staff were all so helpful and professional. The breakfast was delicious. I will definitely stay here again. The roof top pool was clean with perfect views.

Just great..!!
If you want to stay at katikies garden, don’t think about it so much, book it…!!! The people there are extremely friendly and helpful.. the hotel is super clean, the food is amazing, the overall experience is something that you will enjoy.
Maci
The property was very disappointing. The property does not look like the pictures. We got a room with a “jetted tub” and it was freezing. The community Pool was also freezing. Our “ocean view” room looked at an abandoned house with 10 foot Barb wire walls. Definetly not worth the price; I recommend staying in Oia.
Martin
Great character and very friendly and helpful staff
kris
Great location! Quiet with excellent amenities Pool / Dining Great staff. Wish there was a workout facility on site
Jakub
Excellent stay. A true 5 star hotel.
Andre
This is hard to put into words. After only being at Katikies Garden for a few hours, I felt an overwhelming urge to write a 5-star review. Now, after three incredible nights, my partner and I are feeling emotional to leave this special place. It’s not just the property itself (unique and stunning), and it’s not just the level of service (100/10). It’s the people.
It is more than evident the staff loves what they do. Never have I received such care and love from hospitality staff. It’s impossible to comprehend the attention to detail by everyone at Katikies. It’s not just that they remember your preferences and allergies. They somehow know what you’re craving, what you’re thinking before you say it, and when you’ve stepped out, so they can sneakily bring you chocolates and setup your night slippers.
Our experience at Katikies Garden gives new meaning to the phrase “above and beyond.”They make every moment sparkle, and are the very definition of hospitality.
Thank you so much.
Love,
Sarah and André

wonderful experience
Clean and luxurious! Staff were kind and helpful, genuinely looking for ways to help us enjoy our time in Santorini. Breakfast was excellent as well. This was our first international trip with our baby and they made us feel very welcome. Definitely recommend!

An amazing stay, beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. We did feel as though the service was a little different as we were set to leave, compared to the start. Damian at the bar was amazing and made the stay memorable. The room could have had bottles of water and shower gel replenished, for what you are paying.
Super helpful staff throughout, lovely location, lovely food.
Most definitely recommend.
