We had an absolutely magnificent 2 days in Santorini at Porto Fira Suites! It's in an excellent location in Fira - so close to shops, dining, but the most incredible part is the view - absolutely STUNNING! Our Senior Suite was the perfect size for my husband and I along with our two daughters. Beautifully and tastefully decorated with windows overlooking the sea and sunset. The service was impeccable from helping us with coordinating airport transport, to the porter who lugged our luggage down 85 stairs, to the manager who walked us through the history of the island and recommendations on activities & dining, to the bartender who made the best aperol spritz! We also really enjoyed our private balcony where we ate breakfast al fresco. We cannot recommend this hotel enough!

I have truly never had a better hotel experience, and that is with a lot of international and domestic travel. Even prior to our arrival, the hotel staff reached out to assist in arranging transportation and any other needs we may have. From the moment we arrived, they were ready for us and were incredibly warm and welcoming. They took time to give thoughtful recommendations and we immediately felt at home. Throughout our stay they greeted us by name and asked about activities we had told them about. The room was wonderful and had everything we needed, including amazing views.
Our stay was already delightful, but they went above and beyond when we had an early check out but late evening flight that night, with an all-day tour during the day. For no extra charge they not only kept our bags, but when we got back from our tour and had a few extra hours to kill before our flight, they showed us to a room so we could rest and enjoy a final sunset dinner, with no extra charge.

They seem to truly care about the people they are taking care of, not just seeing us as “customers.” Would absolutely stay here again and will recommend to anyone who is visiting.

Very nice hotel. But more importantly great staff. Thank you Evangelos, Mira, Chris for being great hosts and thank you to the rest of the staff. We received a 20% discount due to our Expedia status, and a room upgrade. This hotel does require you to be mobile due to stairs. But it offers great views and great food. We'll worth the extra steps we had to take :).

Only drawback is the stairs up and down. Steep and long. Cardio is a must. Mobility is a must. But that’s true of almost every property in Santorini.

Overall was satisfied with my 2 night stay but there are some caveats. We were able to check in a few hours early which was a great help, and were also upgraded to a suite with a hot tub and a great view. The room (especially the bathroom) was quite spacious and breakfast (which is delivered to your room) featured a wide variety of options. Getting to the hotel, and getting around in it, involves a lot of stairs so we appreciated the help with our bags. Finally, the minibar prices are actually reasonable which was a pleasant surprise.

One of our windows had been left open prior to our arrival so unfortunately we did have some issues with ants. Also, the hotel is organized a bit awkwardly; the small bar/restaurant is all the way at the top and the pool (smaller than it looks, and with limited seating) is all the way at the bottom so the usual towel/water/drinks service is not available. The TV could also use an upgrade.

The food and service at this property are top tier except for one of the servers but I think he realized we were staying at the hotel then changed his tune but it didn’t ruin our trip.
I would say the rooms need a bit of work- it had a smell in it and the shower drainage wasn’t the greatest - I get it were ina. Cave but just some things that stood out incase anyone going

AMAZING HOTEL! From organising our airport transfer to the room, everything was perfect at this hotel. My sister got sick with gastro, and the staff organised a doctor to come, and helped us meet the doctor’s orders. The pool was also lovely, and the whole hotel had gorgeous views of the water and sunset. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful location and super friendly staff! Communicated with me before arriving to ensure we had transportation from the ferry to the hotel. We had less than 24 hours in Santorini and staying here helped us to feel like we had the whole experience! We even ate at the hotel and the food was delicious for dinner and breakfast! The rooms were spacious and I loved the outdoor space! I would love to stay here again sometime!

We spent a week at the Porto Fira suites and loved it here. Staff in reception were incredibly helpful and always happy to help. Breakfast is served on the balcony in the room which was lovely and the choice of food was also great. Pool was lovely and could order drinks to be delivered if wanted. Location was great was one street down from the chaotic streets so was lovely to escape once been out for the day. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Ultimate Santorini experience

Porto Fira Suites was the ultimate Santorini stay. Even before we arrived communication was excellent, they arranged for transportation from the airport and to the port. Upon arrival they greeted us to take our luggage to the hotel, which was greatly appreciated since there’s a lot of stairs in Santorini. The room was spotless, with unbeatable views of Santorini and the caldera. Breakfast at our balcony every morning was delightful. Customer service was excellent. Overall the ultimate Santorini experience! We can’t wait to go back.

The property had an amazing view and malina was very nice. Our bartender was incredible as well. The concerns i had was the smell of the suite maybe it was European plumbing but it always smelled in our room horribly, the bed was so hard, we couldn’t enjoy the hot tub because there was so much chlorine in it that our eyes just burned so we only used it once, they offer breakfast daily but after the second day we decided against it because the guy knocked ok our door to see if we were done like we had a time limit to eat. That annoyed me so we opted to not take breakfast anymore while we were there. It was our honeymoon and Greece is amazing i will choose a different hotel when i go back.

Very little value for the price

This pricey hotel had only a few good things to offer - a clean nice room and a beautiful view. However, I expected more given the price I paid.

Room - two out of three windows were broken (they would not fully close and lock), which of course was not safe - we have only stayed for one night, so I just pointed this out at check out. There was also a weird smell, I can't quite define it, but could be some lingering sewage smell, even in the bedroom.

Breakfast was underwhelming, it was good on paper, but the freshness and quality of the food were disappointing (baked goods were out of the bag, fruit - a very modest portion for two people, eggs too watered down (I asked for scrambled). I also had to ask for milk for the coffee, which got cold by the time I got the ice-cold milk. Basically, it was a regular motel breakfast and not a $ 700-a-night stay type of food.

Oh, and if you were to ask for some more coffee capsules during your stay, you would have to pay 2 euros per capsule!!!

There are a lot of stairs leading to the room, but no porter service was offered to us.

The pool is tiny, no service there.

When checking out I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip for the housekeeping or reception (!!!) It was like a cherry on top of the cake of the terrible experience I had there.

Again, the view and the room itself were great, but overall this was not worth it. So glad I only booked it for 1 night!

The photos are a true representation of the hotel. It’s gorgeous! We had bad weather and there wasn’t a single sunset because if this but we still thought the hotel and place was gorgeous. Be warned. You’ll be climbing 100’s of stairs every time you leave the hotel to go anywhere. Bring comfy shoes!

The hotel is located in a great section of Fira, close to everything in this section of Santorini to explore on foot. It’s location is also ideal for those looking to explore other areas of the island. The room had an amazing water view with great sunsets and the caldera. The hotel staff was very helpful with taking our luggage up and down the numerous steps and the front desk did a great job helping to set up tours and restaurant reservations. The bartender was very friendly and made great fresh cocktails. The pool was small but plenty big for the hotel and to cool off after a long day of exploring. Overall, a great stay for our family of four.

We enjoyed our whole experience from the transportation from the airport to the ease of check-in. Very informative about all the nearby activities and even gave us info on the boat excursions and when to book so we wouldn’t miss this opportunity in our 3 day visit. The bartender was fun and kept us fed and hydrated! We were upgraded and had an amazing room with beautiful views of the Aegean Sea and volcano. We were able to walk to the restaurants and shops. We visited just before the busy season begins so we had the best service wherever we went. We definitely plan to return. Amazing stay and trip. Santorini is a place for couples and adults willing and able to walk- lots of steps on the cliff to get up to the restaurants and shops, but definitely worth it to see the views! Truly amazing.

We can't say enough about Porto Fira. The service was amazing and everyone who worked there was super kind and accommodating. Angela, who worked the front desk, booked everything from dinner reservations (which isn't overly necessary unless you want a very specific place at a specific time just because there are SO many options) to excursions (highly recommend the boat cruise and scuba diving, as well as renting an ATV to wander the island!).
The rooms are lovely and the view is stunning from no matter where.
There are a lot of steps, but this is very normal for Santorini as it's built into the side of a cliff. Not too many places in Fira or Oia that don't have steps but have that view!
Porters are amazing and somehow carried our two suitcases (100lbs) up and down all the stairs while we struggled to carry ourselves lol
All-in-all, highly recommend! We would love to go back.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Porto Fira. It was in a great location in Fira, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast served was very nice. There were only two downsides. First, having to walk up and down the steps to get to the hotel from the main part of Fira was kind of a pain. If you are older or have trouble getting around do not stay in a hotel in the cliffs where you have to walk down steps to the hotel. This was never stressed in some of the Santorini websites we reviewed. Second, our room was quite small even though we had a \"deluxe\" room.

The property is gorgeous set on the side of the caldera cliffs in thira/Santorini. The views are spectacular and staff will go out of their way to be friendly and help with any issues that may arise on your trip. We stayed in the jacuzzi suite and it was beautiful. Its a long way down and up but unless you do no research before your trip this is expected.

The property is amazing. It was clean, the view was breath taking and the staff was willing to bend over backwards to help us. I would highly recommend you booking here. We booked the deluxe suite and could see the sunset right from our balcony. It’s in part of town but secluded enough to where you have some privacy.

Fabulous location , superb views , clean and nice hotel with Covid measures in place and with well appointed suites . They upgraded us on arrival - always a bonus and gave Us a late checkout as the next guest was in due much later. Staff were extremely helpful , professional and courteous , Christina and Sara were fab and so were the helpers and cleaners . Breakfast was sumptuous with every detail taken care off. Will stay there again - a resounding YES!!!

Christina and Sarah are amongst the best service I've had anywhere - they were amazing and recommending and arranging things with Sarah in particular going way above and beyond at advising us and booking a ferry when our flights got cancelled.

Room 12 was perfect with a jacuzzi and a decent terrace where you could enjoy breakfast and great drinks at sunset.

Porto Fora Suites is a beautiful place to stay with beautiful views. The service was excellent from reception to the cleaning staff. My only comment is that our room looked slightly different than the pictures when booking online. Our room was still beautiful, but the balcony with the hot tub was slightly smaller than the one in the picture. But again, I would highly recommend this hotel.

The jets for the hot tub were finicky, and the flusher button for the toilet kept falling back into the space behind the button. Other than those things, the stay was great. The room and views, the service, the breakfast - all excellent. We also got a fantastic price for the duration of our stay, in the off season. Would definitely recommend.

Location was amazing, right off the cliff overlooking the ocean and the town, but during the winter, sunset is not visible. For fancy four star suites, it also lacks some of the essential amenities like complimentary water and coffee/tea for the duration of the stay, especially when tap water is not potable. The patio and furniture could be better cleaned (i.e. caked on bird poop), and some of the indoor furniture could be better maintained (i.e. chipped cabinet paints and loose hinges). Despite it all, the location in a cave dwelling was beautiful.

We stayed in the Suite during low season, therefore at reduced rate. We had a lovely stay, however it was disappointing in many ways given the price. Maybe that's Santorini. Most terraces have little privacy, and it is really hard to figure out from the photos which do and which don't. Spoiler: the Suite does not. The pool is beautiful and the breakfast is plentiful.

Excellent location at the center of Fira, walking distance to taxi and bus stations, restaurants, and attractions. Friendly staffs, offered great advises on the restaurants nearby. Breakfast sent to the room. Hotel sits at the cliff, with excellent view of the caldera and the bay, however it requires heavy walk down from the main road, and is not suitable for the elderly or the physically impaired. Overall, we are very happy with the stay.

I can not say enough about Porto Firo Suites!! First, we were greeted by incredible staff who carried our bags in the heat up to the hotel, which is a bit of a to do if you haven’t been to Santorini! It’s a hill side town so lots of stairs/hills. Then when we got to reception we were upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi! We arrived at sunset and it was absolutely gorgeous! The room is in a “cave,” many on Santorini are, and it was stunning. They have a great pool, great restaurant, and are extremely helpful staff. We wanted to book a last minute massage, and the service they normally use wasn’t available so they did all they could to find another option for us. Fira is a great town and gives you great access to the entire island. I would absolutely recommend and would 100% come back.

The room was smaller than I thought. The location is amazing and we had a breathtaking view of the caldera. We had a toddler with us so the steps down to get to the hotel was a little difficult but we knew this ahead of time due to previous reviews. We rented a car which was good to get around the island but parking is a nightmare, had to wait at least 30minutes each time to find a spot and on arrival had to lug our bags to the meeting spot up the hill in the heat with a toddler. Once we met at the meeting spot, the busboy was amazing carrying our heavy bags down all those stairs to the hotel. Our preordered breakfast delivered to our balcony was delicious. Would definitely stay here again next time when in Santorini, maybe not with a car!

One of the best!

Exceptional place with stunning views, great accommodations, and top notch service. There were two families in our party and together we occupied 3 rooms during our week long stay. Each room was different and all were fantastic. Breakfast served on our balcony was a real treat. The infinity pool was lovely. Hard to find anything wrong with this place.

Located on the caldera cliff means there are a fair number of steps to climb getting to and from this hotel but our group did not find that to be an inconvenience. We enjoyed not being overlooked by the constant flow of tourists near many of the other hotels higher up the cliff.

Porto Fira was amazing!! The room was great, the balcony was even better. We stayed in room 17. We didn't have a hot tub (which we knew) but the balcony was amazing. We also were the first room down from the reception desk, so fewer steps than some of the other rooms (but still a lot of steps from the main street). Breakfast was great. The yogurt with the marmalade was so good! The pool had great views. The staff was amazing. Plan to check in at 1p or 2p in Santorini during the busy season at least, most places have specific rooms that you picked, they are not all the same so you need to wait until people check out of the specific room that you are in.

Best hotel in Santorini!

This place has to be one of the best places in Fira, Santorini. All off the staff treated us like family, the views were so good we did not want or need to leave the hotel. The custom breakfast, brought daily to our patio was a highlight of each day.

My wife and I never repeat a destination, but we would stay in this hotel again if we get back to Santorini.
