This hotel is ideally located in the heart of Fira Town, close to all the famous restaurants and bars of the capital. Its location offers guests the convenience of enjoying Santorini's renowned nightlife while being able to walk back to their suites.
Perched atop the dramatic cliffs opposite the Metropolitan Church of Fira, the villas offer unlimited views of the endless blue sea, the volcano, and the world's most photographed sunset. A variety of tavernas and shops are a short walk away, as is the central bus and taxi station, just 150 meters away, allowing guests to explore the island without a car.
Fira Archaeological Museum is approximately 800 meters away, while Kamari's beach and shops are around 6 km away. Santorini (Thira) Airport is also approximately 6 km away.
This charming design hotel, a suite complex built in Cycladic architecture atop the majestic caldera cliffs, was renovated in 2011 and offers a total of 5 suites. Guests are welcomed in the lobby with reception and concierge assistance.

This was classic Santorini as you see in all the pictures. Almost felt unreal (in a good way). The host was fantastic - helpful and friendly. We enjoyed his company very much. On a trip full of wonderful stays and views, this one definitely stood out in the best way!! Just steps off the main road of Fira, it is perfectly located to get the best the island has to offer. Because the rooms are back in a cave however, they remain blissfully quiet despite the bustling surroundings. The staff- IMPECCABLE!! We didn’t carry our bags once and had a delightful breakfast timed and made to order every morning, plus it was service with a smile!! The private balcony was perfect for laying out in the day and watching the sunset at night. Would LOVE to make it back here in life, please do yourself a favor and stay!!

We didnt stay overnight but we booked the room for a place for the boys to get dressed and ready on our wedding day and they were super accommodating about that and it was right next to our venue at the Athina luxury suites. They were very kind and it was an added good experience to a very big day in our lives. When we go back to Santorini we will be staying there again for sure!

After travelling the world to some really cool places over the years, we rarely get that ‘wow’ moment - until we saw our room here! Genuinely, takes your breath away when you see the 180 degree Caldera view from the fully furnished terrace - a room we’ll crave returning to, just a shame we only stayed for 2 nights. To add to the sheer beauty of the room and view, the service couldn’t have been any better. We were met at the taxi rank and had our bags taken to the hotel (even when we arrived at the promenade front gate to the hotel, the view was barely believable!). George the Manager was brilliant, gave us lots of info on the local area and was such a lovely guy. The best part of the check in was selecting which freshly made to order items you wanted for breakfast the following day - which is then delivered to your room at your desired time and set up on your own private balcony with the ‘wow’ view! This just completed the experience! Honestly, a really great place which we will 100% return to - I’m already missing that room with a view. Perfection.

The bus is a few mins walk, next to taxi station and very cost effective and comfortable. 20 mins to Oia or port, highly recommended taxi is very expensive. Over all it an ideal location. Firstly, the Property Manager Mr. George… he’s a great person, polite, friendly and very helpful. He’s indeed a warm and wonderful guy. The property was well-maintained, clean and strategically located. Easy to find. Only drawback we have noticed and told George… was the outdated Flooring. But clean of course. The White Marble Flooring is OLD FASHIONED and spoils the asthetic of a great Property. Good food. Great location. Amazing view. Another gentleman named Eddy… one who helped us with our Luggage and Breakfast, every day including our room’s housekeeping… is an amazing man. Very good. Very strong !!

We extended a night and had to move to the Galitea Suite. Much smaller and the view was amazing but not as perfect as unobstructed as La Luna. Very comfortable but definitely small.
The location in Fira is absolutely perfect. Great bars and restaurants all around you.
Things to know: in the shoulder season, when it’s chilly out - the hot tub is NOT hot. It was too cold to use, which was a little disappointing. I’m sure in the heat of summer it is perfect though.

What an amazing stay! It was our first time in Santorini and we stumbled upon this gem of a listing. The location is right off the Fira-Oia Hike, closely located to restaurants and shops. George and the staff were very kind in giving recommendations and being accommodating with storing luggage, working around travel plans, etc. We started each morning watching the sunrise, had a lovely and filling breakfast, toured the day away, then spent each evening in our unit watching the sunset in the hot tub. Anniversary Retreat
We stayed in the Luna suite and it was fabulous! Demitris and all of the staff provided excellent service, including booking my in-room massage, our airport transfers and our ATV rental. The suite was perfect for our romantic getaway: clean, spacious, and comfortable. The balcony provided the perfect place to enjoy beautiful views of the Caldera and sunsets.

Dimitris was so helpful and kind. We got there really late at night after our ferry was delayed and being our last stop before flying home after 2 weeks in Greece, we had very large bags. There are many steps to get down to the rooms and someone was there to help us. Breakfast was amazing! The view, the room, the area surrounding is so lovely.
My only complaint is that a car was ordered for us through the hotel to get to the airport and the driver was really aggressively mean. We had bought some pastry for our travels home and the bag fell over in the car, partly because our luggage was in the van with us and kept sliding around because the area is hilly. Some sugar got on the floor and he got really angry yelling at us and slamming doors...
That was literally the only bad interaction I had in greece on 4 islands! Everyone else was so lovely.

The real problem is that there are over 100 steps to get down to the hotel, and, of course, the same number to get back up to the street. I would not have reserved the property had I known that. I have lung issues, so it was very difficult for me.

We just loved our stay at Astera Villas and Santorini. From the welcome we received and the recommendations on what to do and see to our departure, superb!! Breakfast every morning on the our private deck was perfect. Our suite was clean and was very comfortable.
One minor negative thing the bar next door does play loud music, so if they aren't playing your genre it may force you to go inside your suite. (Once inside we only heard it a little). We stayed in the Luna Suite which is the closest to the top level.

It was really close to all shopping and transportation. The early morning breakfast was good with a variety of options. Eva the manager was fantastic, arranged rental car and taxis for us and each and everyone of her restaurant recommendations were fantastic - a great source of information with a pleasing personality - cannot thank her enough. We've stayed in La Luna suite and it was the best choice. Had a perfect view from caldera with the volcano in front of us with central localtion and easy access to any bars and restaurants. The cave style room was very spacious and comfortable. Nice hot tub on the tarrace. Great choice of options for breakfast with champagne to start off any celebrations. Staff was very nice and helpful with any requests. Highly recommended. (There is an extra perk as you can order to your room cocktails from the next door cocktail bar).

We stayed for 2 nights at this place. Location, location and location. Sea view, Sea view of the caldera. The place has one of the best location of the city center Thira. We decided to stay here instead of Oia, as this has more places to eat than Oia. The hotel room has one of the best view of the sea and caldera. You can view the old port and cruise liners parked in the heart of the city.

The La Luna suite bore little resemblance to the pictures. It is essentially a 15' X 70' lava tube painted white. There is a long step down from the bed, bathroom and entry that along with the arched walls presents ample opportunity to bang your head and faceplant on the way to the bathroom at night. The bathroom flooded three times after using the sink and shower. The hot tub was luke warm as was the breakfast. One bright spot was the guy that hoofed our bags up and down the steep entry stairs. When asked about a refund of the first night due to the bathroom flooding, they lied and said Expedia had the funds and that I would have to take it up with the when in fact they had debited my card on day one.
The view from the terrace is amazing but you can find that with any decent hotel in Fira or Oia. Look elsewhere, this place is average at best.

Strange property though perhaps typical for Santorini. Rooms are off one staircase in order of price with the cheaper Phoebe at the bottom but still high enough for good views. The plus (could also be seen as a minus due to privacy/safety) with Phoebe is there is a gate leading out onto a walkway for access to a main pathway. To go anywhere if staying at the other suites, one must climb up to the top of the staircase. I was “upgraded” to Galatea. Beware: the private terrace is not locked and there are no curtains on the windows facing the terrace. During the day, they look semi mirrored but at night with the lights on, someone can come onto the terrace and see everything in the room and bathroom. I had employees on the terrace unexpectedly several times. I showered and changed in the dark.

One of the most unique places we’ve ever stayed at. We booked the Astrophelia suite and really enjoyed the space. We were in a large cave and also had a nice long patio for breakfast in the morning and wine at night.
Just like many other hotel options, you can’t go wrong with the incredible view here. However, what stood out to me was the exact location of the property. It is just steps away from the main bus station/taxi drop off, which means you don’t have to drag your luggage up and down the narrow steps while trying to dodge herds of people.
The hotel manager went above and beyond from helping us with the perfect dinner choice our first night to providing us extra towels when he found out we had a boat trip. These thoughtful details removed any potential stress during our stay and allowed us to just fully enjoy and relax.

Asteras Villas was in the perfect location for staying in Santorini for us. It was a couple of minutes walk to restaurants, bars, the town square, the pharmacy, or whatever else you needed.
The manager there is great. He really wants to make your experience the best it can be.
The hotel is small, with just a few rooms, but the view is amazing out to the caldera and water. Just relax on the balcony with a drink, or walk up the steps and find a local establishment nearby. The PK Cocktail bar is literally next door and is a great place to watch the sunset from.

Asteras Villas is in the heart of Fira. Walking from all the top spots in the town, the views of the caldera are unmatched. We stayed in the Venus and the Astraphella Suite and both are comfortable, cozy and with their own jacuzzi. The hotel manager, Andreas is a great guy and one of the charms of the hotel. He gave great reviews and was able to help with all our requests. The breakfast served in the terrace is a nice touch. Can't really fault the hotel or the hotel staff. We would love to return

Staff was excellent and knowledgeable of surrounding areas offering great advice. Delivery of meals to room is a great plus. Asteras Villas overlooks the caldera and volcano. Gorgeous view. It is ideally placed near the taxi and tour bus pickup and drop off and near many excellent restaurants and bars. Their is little fanfare here as the place sells itself, but the service is excellent. My adult daughter and I arranged sunset dinner reservations through André, and Stefan printed out our international drivers licenses late one evening. Our villa (La Luna, at the top) had a hot tub just outside the door. It was delightful after a long day to enjoy a cold beer, listen to the sounds on the avenue above, and watch the activity on the caldera. I highly recommend this property.

We were blown away by the view from our room. We had a personal outdoor jacuzzi that had a view of the sea. We were given recommendations on places to see and eat. We were served a good choice of food for breakfast. There was even a choice of including a glass of vinsanto or champagne for breakfast. There were stairs to climb, however, we had assistance with our luggage to and from our room.
