Just got back from a 6 night stay here. This hotel was perfect in every way. When we arrived we were greeted by Christos who made us feel so welcome, he printed off a bus time table, gave us a map and recommended us everything to do on the island, such a places to visit and the best restaurants.
After checking in he showed us our room which was modern airy and clean with a comfy bed and had a nice outside area to sit.

The pool area was lovely, with plenty of beds to sit on, good music food and cocktails. Christos would regularly bring round complementary shots for everyone by the pool. Breakfast had wide variety of food from Greek yogurt to homemade omelettes and doughnuts, every morning had something different.

Location is perfect, in a nice and quiet area, away from the busy streets and about a 8-10 minute walk to Fira centre and bus station

The hotel helped us arrange transportation to and from the airport. All the staff and managers are some of the nicest people I have met during my travels, they are kind, always smiling and really make you feel so welcome, they definitely made our trip to Santorini more special.

Looking forward to staying at this hotel again next time we visit Santorini

I’m absolutely in love with this hotel! We stayed were with my girlfriends and had an amazing experience! The location is perfect, the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful, the service is outstanding!!! The rooms are clean but kind of small, so at your expectations right! However, the breakfast is something special! The variety, the freshness, and the taste are really great! I would definitely stay here again!!! Also I would like to express my appreciation to the awesome team who mage our stay so enjoyable - Margarita, Yuri, Maria, and Christos!!! Thank you for being awesome!!!

Callia Retreat Suites was perfect for us on our trip to Santorini. It is about a 10-15 minute walk into the main town in Fira which has beautiful sunsets and plentiful food, drink and shopping options. Due to its location the retreat is quiet and serene which is perfect to enjoy its beautiful pool, of which there were always plenty of lounger and seat options available. There was bar service available poolside with a food menu which was fantastic and reasonably priced compared to most bars in town - recommend the Pina Coladas!
Christos and Margarita and their entire staff were lovely and friendly and provided fantastic customer service. Margarita helped us plan the perfect trip up to Oia to see the famous sunset. The team was very hospitable - Christos came around with some complimentary shots a couple of times which was fantastic. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
However, I would say that the shower not having a door was mildly inconvenient as the bathroom floor would get wet. I would also say that the poolside could be quite slippery, even in shoes, and would suggest that visitors are notified upon checkin so they can be careful and that the surface be changed to something non-slip.
Overall we had a fantastic stay and would not hesitate to stay here again should we ever be lucky enough to return to the lovely island of Santorini.

The man ( I think he was the owner) was so welcoming and accomodating. Breakfast was unreal, the view, rooms and pool was amazing, and we will definitely be booking again at this place ! Close to town as well which was super convenient!

Executive room was good. Downside was no shade to get out of the sun. This also applies to the pool area where the umbrellas are inadequate. Breakfast had a decent choice but was open to the elements with lots of flys unhygienic and unacceptable. Short walk if you are fit to Fira on a very unsafe road. Photos look nice but tired cushions and loungers in reality. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this property.

This boutique hotel is so cute and quiet. Has almost everything you need with staff welling to go beyond the call. The food and drinks were really good and prepared with love and reasonable prices to match. We stayed in the Hot tub suits which were really nice. If you want total privacy this is not the area you want bc it oversees the neighboring hotels but this section is well worth it if you can get past that part.

We were disappointed with the morning staff being inflexible with opening the breakfast area to us to grab a coffee and some breakfast before we had to catch the bus for our flight out. This was even with us asking for a few extra minutes the day before.

We purchased a suite for 3 people with a queen bed and couch. We received a small studio with the bed and couch 3 ft(1 m) apart. No way room for 3 people. The hotel was empty but would not give us the room we paid for. There was zero maid service. I had to wait 1 hour for toiletries in the evening and missed my sunset dinner. This made my GF walk alone in a foreign country to dinner. My friends came over the first day, and the manager said they have to leave, even though I paid for 3 people, but only had 2 stay because the room was small(not the room I purchased). We felt unwelcome and left asap.

Lovely place. Comfortable beds, nice area to sit out and have coffee after breakfast. Breakfast was interesting. I enjoyed the cheese, peaches, toast, croissants, honey etc. Yogurt, scrambled eggs , etc were also provided. You can walk to restaurants, main square, cable cars and bus stop. Takes a bit of time ...15 to 20 minutes. We took public buses both directions. Convenient and interesting!

Windowless room, cold, no top sheet just a heavy duvet that undoubtedly isn’t washed each time. Breakfast looked good, but most of it was cold and unappetizing. No one willing to assist with baggage. A ten minute walk to town but you have to walk on a busy road. Was 100.09 US dollars with no view. Bad deal. There are far better and less expensive places. They try to pass it off as a fancy place. No one was impressed.

We had a lovely stay at the Callia Retreat. The staff were extremely efficient and welcoming. They helped us book activities and taxis which we appreciated. The rooms are presented to a high standard and the pool is amazing. The cocktails were excellent and very strong!! Only a short 10 minute walk up to town to the stunning views of Santorini.

It was ok . Average.
The front desk greeted us before our check in. Firstly he give us tha layout map of the town and whole of santorini. The route to Fira was a five mins walk from the hotel which was very near but if you have a phobia of walking down an alley it is very scary. Beware of stray dogs if you are afraid of one.
The breakfast was good. The person helped us called for the bike rental to bring us the bike here. The bad part was the chambermaid did not knock our room .
She just opened our room and put some towels. Maybe she thought there is no one inside. The problem is they do not have the do not disturb / clean my room door sign.
And when checking out the front desk was knocking the door persistantly . Infact we are almost ready . They are no guests checking in also. So what is the rush. His reason was a technician wanted to repair something but actually he did not.

A very nice resort, beautiful view from the room/balcony. The room was a bit small. Service was good, with a good suggestion for dinner, and a hike. Didn't get to use the pool area, as it rained. Breakfast was yummy (eggs, pie, cake, fruit, coffee, yogurt etc), they let us have a late check out as no one was coming in, which was nice.

Everything was lovely. The only cautions we would offer is that laundry service is not available onsite. It’s not far but have the desk verify that it’s open. Also if you wish to do the trek from Fira to Oia, it is a 3 hour hike and NOT for beginners.

We were there in winter so it rained a lot. Location is alright but it still takes about 20-15 mins walk to center in the rain to get food. The walk was dark, wet and there were lots of stray dogs around. The room was clean, comfortable and the place was nice. The breakfast was very good. The people was friendly and helpful. But the shower has no door so water will splash everywhere and you get a we, cold andt slippery toilet floor. Plusthe toilet mist up real quick and due to winter we can't open the window in the toilet. So everything is wet in the toilet. Good point is that there is a balcony so you can enjoy and watch the sunrise.

This was an incredible experience! Firstly, the property is absolutely stunning - the view of the ocean, island and pool was fantastic. Then you are greeted with the most friendly, helpful, lovely staff. Callia retreat was the best hotel experience we have ever had. The communication prior to arrival was great, then when we arrived they assisted us to book excursions with a boat cruise and renting ATVs. The rooms were lovely - clean towels sometimes twice a day - it was a lovely experience and I would certainly go back!

Beware things are not what they seem or promise

I have booked a room with a king bed and got a double bed not comfortable. I asked to change to another room and they would not do it. I had to climb down narrow steps that were steep with our luggage and no one to help with our luggage. The bathroom had a horrible smell every time you turned on the faucet.I question Margarita about the accommodations and she was not happy about it. I had the papers that showed I had paid for a king size room but it did not matter.I was not happy with this situation then I contacted Orbitz and never heard from them either so I will not do business with either one again. I felt deceived and my husband and I paid a lot of money for this trip. Parking a disaster on lot of rocks.

From the moment we walked into Callia we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. Margarita, Christos and all of their staff were invaluably helpful and incredibly welcoming.
They were full of ideas and advice for our time in Santorini.
The pool area is absolutely stunning and has a great relaxed vibe. Our room was attended to daily and was kept exceptionally clean.
The breakfast was delicious and included many homemade Greek treats and fresh fruit.
We will definitely be staying here again next time we visit Santorini.

Great Spot in Santorini

In general loved Callia Retreat. It was a 5 min walk to Fira but out of the crowded streets. Only issue we had was around some electrical problems with the AC. Apparently our section was brand new (second people to stay there) and they hadn’t worked out the electrical issues. Staff was extremely responsive even at odd hours and they made up for the inconvenience.

PERFECT HOTEL AND PERFECT STAFF!!

It was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for us! We checked in with margarita at Callia and she was such an awesome help!! She helped with LITERALLY ANYTHING we asked her for. Starting from our rooms to any tours to any places we could go. She gave us her personal WhatsApp info so she could help us right away. And she replied to every text spontaneously. The other staff were awesome and punctual as well. My overall experience was beyond expected. This particular hotel is clean and very convenient location for people who would want to stay near Fira town. If I ever visit Santorini again it’ll be at Callia Retreat for sure.

Hotel staff very curteous and helpful. Pool and patio area very nice. Bathrooms small and a little mold in shower by curtain. Decent walk into town which is mostly uphill but doable. Was very hot when we were there. Did not make the walk pleasurable so if you want to be able to walk into town be aware.

Quiet area about 10min walk to Fira. The staff were helpful and happy to assist with booking trips/cars etc but at a premium. Lovely pool and bar area which would be great in the warmer months. Overlooks non-caldera side ocean several km away so less windy and a simple walk uphill to the famous views.

We had a standard room which was away from the main part of the hotel, kind of weird, but we didnt mind that as it was a bit quieter. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were very attentive to our needs. Hotel is located a little out of the way. Although it is only a 10 minute walk up the hill to Fira town. We hired an ATV though so it was fine.
The only con for us was the breakfasts weren't great. The last few days we decided to drive to Perissa and Kamari beaches for our breakfasts which were much better.
All in all a positive experience and would stay here again.

Very bad experience with this hotel. The rooms was dirty, the AC didn't work well and was leaking the entire time. Our bathroom was the size of a closet and the water was brown. The entire bathroom would get wet when I took a shower and the shower curtain would stick to my skin. The beds were uncomfortable and the second bed that was given to us was a couch. The only plus about this hotel was the cleaning staff and the manager, as well as the pool. The pool was spectacular and super clean. The hotel is close to the center but is not a 3 star, it's more like a 2 star boutique hotel.

we were welcomed from the moment we arrived. The rooms were very clean, linen and towels were changed every day. Stelios and all his staff were very friendly and so helpful. Breakfast was served outside on the terrace and was very satisfying (and healthy). The location was 5 minutes walk to the town but far enough away to relax with not much noise. Excellent accommodation if you are looking to stay in Fira. Fira is in the centre of the island, we hired a car and it was so easy to get around. However, the bus station is only 5mins walk away.

Easy on the wallet but please book with eyes open

My usual mode of operation is that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it. But in this case I think I owe other Internet users a word of caution if you are booking a \"standard room\" at Rena's Suites since their rating is so high. While a standard room at Rena's is likely one of the cheapest rooms you can book on the island of Santorini with decent breakfast, phone and Wifi included, pretty convenient area - please be aware that in my case, a standard room was actually in a building south of the main rena complex that is actually older and according to some other reviewers an older hotel that they purchased. I can't speak for their better suites at the main complex since I didn't see them, but I can say that my room while clean felt dated, old and very unromantic. The beds were uncomfortable, the wall art and ceiling fixtures looked like DIY kid projects, and the shower was a 2.5 x 2.5 foot standing shower that was basic and rather small. All of this would be ok if you understand that this type of room is more like the cheapest motel room you can get to crash while you spend most of your time outside enjoying Santorini. But per the other reviewers the pictures while not necessarily \"embellished\" were indeed very \"professionally\" taken - giving an impression of a luxury resort when in fact the hotel is quite a bit more down to earth. So please do your research...

Highly recommended B&B in Thira

We had a great experience at this B&B. It was very relaxing, clean and picturesque (the view is toward the houses of the town and the beach on the other side of the island). The breakfasts were included and were very good. The staff was pleasant, helpful and accommodating.

The B&B is located about a 5-7 minute walk to the stores, restaurants and cliffs of Thira, as well as a bus terminal to take you to other towns in Santorini.

It was a very bad experience to stay in Rena's Room and Suite. When I booked the hotel, the picture shows a very nice pool view, all furniture is clean and modern. When I checked in, I realized that the room is in another side of property with a small window that you can see the sky. Room is clean, but the furniture is very old, shower doesn’t even have a shower curtain. The hotel owner told me that I may be looking at the different web site, I told him that I booked from hotel.com. He told me that his web site shows exactly the room is. I checked his web site, there is no such thing. Hotel location is awful, it is not located in a nice part of the town, you have to walk to the attractions, walk to the town, long walk to the beach. They pick you up and drop off from airport, if you have to take ferry, you have to drag all your luggage to bus stop, that is miles away. I’m sure, there are many people like it because the price. I will never go back there again, there are more hotel around that area may be cheaper than Rena if you don’t want to spend money and don’t mind a bad location.

Book the Suites, not the Standard Rooms

It is definitely worth paying the extra money for the Superior Suite. We paid for the Standard Room, under the impression it had a king size bed and waterfall shower head (as advertised on hotels.com). We were given a room outside of the main Rena's complex. We found a pair of someone else's underwear had been left in the bathroom, which the staff promptly removed. The room had a double bed and 2 singles. We went to see the staff about this and offered to pay more for an upgrade, but the other rooms in the hotel were booked out for 3 nights of our 4 night stay, so we could not change to another room for the full 4 nights. The housekeeping came and remade the single beds, pushing them together to form a king, but with a gap due to the bed frames, which they filled with a blanket in the middle. Later we also realised the waterfall shower head was non-existent in our room, rather we had a hand held shower head with no place to hang it up whilst we showered. The shower design was poor so the water puddled all over the floor in the bathroom. Staff offered us money off for our stay, but we decided not to take them up on their offer, as we were after comfort, not money. They also tried to call other hotels to see if they had any space, but we didn't hear anything come of this. The staff tried to come up with ways to fix the problems but we were just extremely disappointed that the hotels.com site said the room would be more deluxe than it really was (bed size and bathroom).

Had a great week enjoyed our stay,staff very friendly big bonus to be picked up from airport and dropped back,stress free,a big mention to George who was very helpful and very knowledgeable, the hotel is 5 minutes away from main town,breakfast laid out by the lovely pool in the morning, would highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel, great location

We had a great stay at Rena for 4 days in August-September 2015. The hotel is beautiful, the staff very helpful and the location is amazing. Few blocks from the bus station and Fira downtown, all you need! I would definitely stay again in this hotel.

Perfect location!

This is a beautiful hotel with great landscape. The staff is extremely warm, friendly and helpful. They take excellent care of the property and their guests. Santorini is a place everyone should visit. I would definitely stay here again.

Cutting costs

Uncomfortable bed, small rooms, hard starchy towels, room smells, breakfast is horrible(frozen yogurt), no conditioner or lotion in provided and the body soap is cheap.

Friendly staff and they clean the rooms and pool daily. Find another place if your looking for a relaxing vacation.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff

Great hotel, short walk from the main attractions of Fira. The room was lovely, and the pool area was a real asset. The hotel is tucked away so is quieter than many and also not really overlooked, which many on the rim are. The staff were all friendly and helped with recommendations for trips, restaurants etc. We spent a week there are we're sad to leave.

The room was nice, except there was no privacy on the patio as other rooms had. Our room faced the pool directly, and we had to be careful not to keep the curtains open or else someone could peak in.

Despite the management telling us the room would be private, we could definitely hear our neighbors next door as they were conversing with friends outside our room. I give the room a 2 rating due to this.

Breakfast is quite pleasant and nicely situated around the pool.

The neighborhood is quite cramped with other small boutique hotels, and no parking. We rented an ATV, so it wasn't such a big deal. The main square is a 5-10 min. walk away.

The management is quite friendly, and it's nice they have a shuttle to pick you up from port/airport.

The hotel is new/newly renovated and you can see it. There's not much of a lobby to speak of.

Affordable Santorini Guestroom

I am giving this hotel an OK rating mainly because the advertisement pictures were much nicer than the actual accommodations. My boyfriend and I were placed in the Guestroom (pictures 6 and 7). That room and it's bathroom were not nearly as modern as the other advertised rooms. The bathroom was very dark and our tiny outdated shower did not have a rainfall shower head as listed in the amenities section. Also there was a terrible storm the evening we arrived (obviously outside of the hotel's control), but it dropped down a red clay dust onto everything, which prohibited guests from using the swimming pool (which is the nicest area of the small hotel. So we were a bit let down upon arrival given our expectations. That being said, it was affordable for us and the room served it's purpose. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for excursions and restaurants. George, the front desk man/general manager, was a pleasure to talk with and helped us get transport to Oia.

Requested a king size bed, received a double with a twin, when put together they were not the same height. Mattress was 3 inch's thick, not very comfortable. The shower was a 3' x 3' shower stall, could barely turn around without water going everywhere. The \"standard\" room is ok if you are expecting it, going by the pictures on the web site we were disappointed. The standard rooms are out the driveway and partway down the lane, away from everything, pool etc.

Friendly Hotel

We spent three nights in the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the view from the hotel is breathtaking, breakfast is included. We enjoyed our stay very much. However, the hotel is far from the centre of the town, and far from the bus station. You will need to rent transportation, use the hotel shuttle, or be prepared to walk a long distance to the centre of the town and the bus stop.

Adorable hotel with amazing staff!

We had a standard rom, and it wasn't quite perfect. The bed wasn't the largest and most comfortable, and the shower was a standalone. With two people staying together, we were unable to take showers together. However, we thought it was really great for the price!

The customer service is what should really be remarked upon. The people were so sweet and guided us on the best way to spend our three days in Santorini. The weather was a little windy and chilly in Apil, so they brought our free breakfast to the room for us each day - delicious!

Would definitely stay here if I visit Santorini again!
Our pick up to the airport was not smooth. Other than that, our stay at Rena was great! Our check-in was smooth and she provided with all sorts of tourist destinations for us. She also helped arrange a reliable source for renting ATV. Breakfast was included, was not the best but it was good enough to start your day.

This hotel has a great location.

We were warmly welcomed by Christina and fellow staff members. Although the room was small, it was very clean and bright and met our needs. The breakfast was substantial, but it was a little chilly eating poolside at the end of October. We would definitely return to this site.

Do Not Stay Here!

Do not stay here unless you stay in a suite. Meaning, do not book a 'room'. The rooms are awful. I was first put into a room with a tiny window up the top of one wall. Then I was moved to a room with two windows which was an improvement. However, overall the rooms are old, terrible, and the towels were old, stained, and as rough a sandpaper. Such a sad place. Also it only has someone at reception was 9am, when there is a long line of people wanting to ask questions. If you need anything before 9am, bad luck. Don't do it.

Good location, room facilities need to be improved

This hotel located near every thing. Breakfast is very good. Free shuttle bus only for arrival service. We stay in a room without hot water, blanket and duvet. No
hotel staff works at night. So we could not take a shower and did not sleep well.
