The property is clean, the AC turned off in the middle of the night. The furnitures are all old. It could be improved by purchasing new furnitures and drapes. No one using the pool. Breakfast was dull, I think they can do better. Shuttle bus driver that they called to drive us to oia looked pissed off. No smiles. Really needs improvement and it will be better. I would look somewhere else when I come back

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is a 5 minute walk from the bus stop and center of Fira, but the hotel’s street was quiet. We loved sitting by the pool every morning and the breakfast was nice too. The staff was helpful and even arranged a taxi from the airport for us. We will stay here again

Great stay! I only had one day in Santorini so location was key. This hotel was a block away from all the hustle and bustle, so a very quick and easy access to the main shops of Fira. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the staff was super friendly. Will definitely be back.

If you want a good breakfast, you need to arrive at 8am. We had breakfast at 9am and by that time, all the best things have gone and they aren’t replenished!

This hotel is very close to the bus station in Fira, so that was a big draw for us. The hotel itself is nice, the rooms are big, bathrooms are nice too. The balcony gave a good view. I think it was built from another type of building, so there was a lot of waste of space. The pool is also big and clean. They provide towels for the pool. breakfast is good, but same every single day. Lots of restaurants nearby, and everything is walkable.

Nissos Thira Hotel is a lovely and peaceful place to stay, with welcoming and friendly staff who are always available to help with any queries or travel advice. The pool and communal areas are well maintained, and rooms are cleaned to a high standard daily.
The hotel is perfectly located, just a 5 minute walk from Fira’s main square and 3 minutes from the bus station, which provides travel across the island. There are also great coffee shops either side of the hotel, and a supermarket 2 minutes walk down the road.
We spent 5 nights here and couldn’t recommend this place enough for a relaxing stay.

The pictures of this hotel on Expedia have definitely been beautified and are misleading. The room is just bare-bone, and not very clean. The towels and bedding are of low quality. Right after we checked in, I saw mosquitoes in the room and asked the receptionist if she had some sort of repellent i could use in the room. She said she didn’t have any but will ask someone to spray the room shortly. Nobody ever came. I killed three mosquitoes myself that night! The breakfast has very limited options and is not appetizing at all. The only thing I like about this hotel (and therefore two stars vs. one) is that it is close to the town center and the bus station. Keep in mind that this hotel is at the back of the hill/cliff and you cannot see the sea.

Stayed here for one night after flying in late to Santorini and hettingbthe ferry the next morning to Naxos. Perfect location for the bus station. Short walk up a steep hill and you are on the mains trip with all the bars and views of caldera. Great value for money, basic but clean spacious and comfortable. Air con was great! Staff were fantastic so friendly! Wasn't expecting the breakfast to be any good but was pleasantly surprised! They even have mini saugages and mini omelettes and chocolate croissants!

This property is the best if you want to use the local buses to get around either to tourist areas, port or airport. Not only that, front desk reception was so FRIENDLY! Helped so much for our stay.
If you find this a negative, it is not in those white building cliff hotels side views with the pools but easily walkable to that area.. around 5 mins max.

This hotel is in main centre. Lovely place and lovely hotel, staff are so nice. But one thing they don't keep tea kettle or tea sugar inside the room. Every time you need to ask them for it. Otherwise every day housekeeping and they change bed sheet and other stuff, super clean hotel. We really love this hotel.

A wonderful hotel to visit in Santorini! Short walk to everything related to Caldera including viewing / dining and shopping. Hotel and rooms were very well done with a classic Santorini feel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Appreciated their assistance with transportation to and from ferry port. Hotel was right next door to pick up points for tours. There are no lifts, have to manage stairs. As a hotel, the rooms have no tea / coffee supplies, nor Bottled water. The safe was too old n tiny to be of use;

Excellent hotel. Clean, comfortable and very well situated. Few steps from the bus station. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived early and the room was not ready for check in so we left our bags at reception. The lady at reception answered all our queations and helped us book a tour to the volcano. The pool area was very nice and you would definitely appreciated after spending a day out in the sun and the heat. We woke up every day at sunrise with a beautiul view and the smell of bread fresh out of the oven. I think it came from the nearby coffe place. Our reservation included breakfast which was good. I highly recommend thia hotel.

The fridge was leaking and not cold enough to store items in it.

Good comparative value for the time of year and central location whilst being pleasant enough. Space was good. The bathroom could do with a power point although there were plenty in the room. Also the shower recess didn't retain the water well within the small tiled square as it would splash off the body onto the bathroom floor. The staff were helpul and pleasant to deal with.

Having been to Fira previously, I knew I wanted to stay in this area again. This hotel happened to be quite literally in the \"downtown\" area of Fira where there are plenty of restaurants, cafés, tourist attraction vendors etc.
The hotel itself was nice, but different than what I had expected from the pictures. There are no elevators or anything so if you are placed on a top floor, expect to carry the suitcases upstairs. The room itself was nice although it did not have a safe. The shower was quite possibly the smallest shower I've ever been in, and the curtain was kind of a sorry excuse for a way to keep water from going all over the entire bathroom floor!
Aside from that, the hotel is privately run by a nice family who give good information on what to do, where to go and what to see. There is no staff waiting on guests overnight though, so if you are in need of anything, that is not a service that is available.

While the hotel was close to the centre of town it was quiet and clean and a decent breakfast.

reception staff are pleasant and the location to fira is amazing. thats where the joy ended. the rooms are tiny you can barely open your bags. the sheets were old and yellowing. you can barely open your balcony door as its so small the furniture is in the way. the house cleaning staff are rude and their mannerism is terrible. and if your unlucky enough to be on the front facing side of the hotel.. you cant open your balcony doors at all because the noise is atrocious.

Practical Choice and Location
This is perfect if you want to use the hotel to sleep and as a departure point to visit the whole island. Its location on the main street of Fira means that cars can stop right in the front of the hotel and drop you off or pick you up. The place is clean but very musty and damp. The breakfast is very basic. The staff are exceptionally polite. The wifi was also excellent.

This hotel is adorable. It is right in the middle of the old village just 2 minutes walking to the old town shopping minutes to the port. The room was the most unique and beautiful place I started on my one month trip. We had a gorgeous view of the sea from our adorable balcony. It is really something special. The only thing I warn is that it is difficult to find and get are a lot of steps to and from so it is not accessible to everyone.

Hotel is pretty comfy & the rooms are all new from inside (which is rare for Santorini). Bathroom was overall fine but the water didn't pass through the sink very well, but those were minor things.
There is a nice pool at the hotel & we had a cozy terrace combined with the neighbour's room. And it's really close to Fira center, about 1 minute walk uphill. The owner was very helpful & supportive as well.

Our room was facing the street extremely loud till after 2 am. The mattresses are very hard and we were unable to sleep - 4 adults one child.
The pool area is very dated.

Would rate this hotel highly for value, even if the rating score is modest. It does not have the famous cliff-side sea view everyone wants. But it is right in Fira, and in this town you only need to walk 5 mins and you see the sea. And if you go sight-seeing the fantastic view will be there. The room we got is big (bigger than any other in Greece, with balcony), but the bathroom is rather basic. Make sure to request a room away from the side of the street the front faces, and your are in an oasis overlooking a nice blue pool. A big plus is the 3 mins walk to the main public bus station, so you can take the less than 2 euro ride to all parts of the island.

My daughter and I found it very easy to get around the Island using local transport. We were also impressed with the large number of cafes and restaurants all within easy reach of our Hotel.
Shopping was a delight and the views were all within easy reach of the hotel. The only down side was the two very busy roads we had to cross in order to reach the pedestrianised area of Thira.
