There was plenty of staff and they were friendly, attentive, engaged and even entertaining. The bar was very well stocked; the staff found me a point to work on my laptop in a quiet place. The decor was modern and relaxing and there was a good selection of Greek beauty products which I bought as presents. A special call out for the breakfast which was wonderful, a large and generous selection of food for every taste. We will definitely be back!

We liked the room a lot, but our door didn't have a lock on the inside of any sort. The staff was friendly and we liked that they had a restaurant inside the hotel. Only problem to this location is it is about 40 minute drive from Thessaloniki and good luck finding an uber there or one to the airport. We got dropped many times.

I would highly recommend this truly hidden treasure and would recommend Golden Star without any hesitation. ‘All’ staff so welcoming, friendly. Mr George and your team on reception OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Helped us with local places to visit, taxis, car hire. Kitchen thanks for going above an beyond on my food (gluten free/pescatarian), restaurant always taking the time to ask if anything else needed. Beach area team so attentive too. The ocean view spectacular and rooms super cleaned (daily), bath robes and lots of scrummy (not cheap) toiletries #beautifulhotel thank you and will be returning 💝

The hotel was lovely. Right across the beach - literally about 10 steps. Hotel cafe in the beach was top class. Staff were great and worked very hard to make the guests feel welcomed. Breakfast was nice with a big variety. Dinner was ok. Not that big a variety and food was not labelled as well this we did not know what was vegetarian. However, after saying this to the reception, we were informed by the staff on the following days which foods were vegetarian.
Peraia is in a great location. The promenade is lovely and therefore not much traffic noise. Airport is only a 10 minute drive. We would definitely visit again. We had lovely weather everyday. The beach is calm and shallow and very safe for children. The sunset at the hotel beach is a must!

Only hotel around the area. Everything were closed due to winter season. Famiky had wonder stay but the hotel needs upgrade. The hotel is spotless. Absolutely lovely location, with magnificent views and sea promenade... Did have to ask a room change twice though, as I didn't feel the initial rooms were of a Four Stars Hotel standard. The latest room was just great, with a wonderful sea view balcony, we both, my sister and I, enjoyed. We had to pay a reasonable extra charge for that move though. The staff, especially the housekeeping were magic and very helpful. Will go and visit again.

I stayed in the Golden Star City Resort for 3 Weeks. When I booked I was told that thee was a refrigerator in the room.
There was no refrigerator. They said that they would put one for a small amount.
When I asked after I moved in it was not possible at all, only possibility was to upgrade to a room with double price.
I have a small travel cool-box, consuming like a very small light (20W)
If I would connect that they would charge me Peso 3,500.- per week.
It became clear that they wanted to force me to upgrade and charge me around Peso 20,000.-
Their attitude was unfriendly. The Hotel could have been nice and pleasant.

Golden star is quite nice. They are right on the beach with lovely umbrellas and beach chairs available for hotel guests. Perea itself is pretty run down but the promenade area is nice. We did a drive through the peloponnese and decided to rest in perea before our trip to Prague. It was a nice break but nothing more. We spent 3 nights which was more than enough. We had room 401 which was lovely but the blinds did not darken the room so there was light in the room by 6a. Also, the bathroom had no door, which is tough when you are travelling with 2 young boys. Breakfast is nice but do not get the half board option. Dinner was not always worth the extra price. There are nice places near the hotel and worth visiting for dinner instead
Overall, I would not return to perea or this hotel but if you are in the area, dont hesitate to book this hotel. It is quite nice.

This is by far the best hotel on the promenade, better than the 5* at the end of the promenade, the breakfast even the buffet is reasonably priced and good quality food, for someone who never opts for buffet I actually had buffet one night, the rooms are clean, the beds are spacious and what is surprising the maintenance is always happening, the hotel while I was there installed a glass divider to the next property, considering that the * levels in Greece are some how different than in the UK this hotel has full merit from its 4* rating, well done and I guess that is why your customers are coming back time and time again, thank you.

As soon as I arrived I was asked to pay the whole amount for 6 nights. The young man with glasses, the receptionist, didn’t even allow me to leave my luggage in the room. The receptionist kept insisting that this is their policy even though the policy in my booking confirmation said that I could pay either at check in or check out. They had one night blocked on my card before check in and unblocked it after check out. I felt really awkward and surprised. This receptionist never greeted and smiled every time I walked in and out of the hotel. It was one of those stays when you pay and feel nervous because of the rubbish customer service.
Another surprise was that they charge you a small bottle of water 1€. I noticed the price list ( attached on the internal side of the door of a small fridge ) only after having consumed 3 bottles.
The room attendants make up your room at all hours of the day. Once I found them making up my room at 3pm. I really needed to go to the toilet after an extremely important medical appointment, and had to wait outside of the room as the room attendants were in my room (at 3pm).
