My husband and I stayed at this hotel with our 3-month-old baby for 2 nights — and immediately wished we had booked a longer stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We've travelled a lot around the world, but the reception team here truly stood out as the most friendly, helpful, and accommodating we've ever encountered. They made travelling with a young baby remarkably easy and we were so grateful.

We booked a Senior Suite with an outdoor terrace and private jacuzzi — and it was absolutely perfect. The space was beautiful, and we loved having the jacuzzi to relax in.

The pool area was peaceful with comfortable sun loungers, and breakfast each morning was a lovely experience, made even better by the attentive and kind staff.

We also really appreciated the location — just an 8-minute uphill walk to the centre of Fira.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Fira.

This was our third stay at Astro Palace, and again we had a wonderful time. The experience started before we left home, with Katerina reaching out to enquire about our timings and transportation.

A luxurious Benz taxi and lovely driver took us to the hotel, where we received a warm welcome! It was really great to see everyone again (when they came on shift) and to see new friendly faces.

Astro Palace is particularly clean, modern, luxurious and professional. The location, in the Fira, is perfect: 10 mins casual walk from a beautiful sunset and, if you're not renting a car or using taxis, 10 mins walk from the buses to Oia, etc.

But what makes Astro Palace special is its people. They are very warm and genuinely invested in guests having a good time in Santorini. The other guests we spent time with expressed the same sentiment.

In our case, as we've explored the island many times over the years, this time they recommended more rustic, less touristy places, essentially where they enjoy eating in 2025. And, of course, they follow up when we return to get our feedback. Coming back to reception and hanging out by the bar, catching up, was one of many highlights.

It was just pricy. apart from that everything was good. The time we booked the hotel was about 500 CAD per night but when we arrived, if we wanted to book the same nights, it was much cheaper like 350CAD per night.

Wonderful hotel, wonderful employees

The room and hotel were super clean. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The limo driver picked me up from the airport with my name on a board, that was cool. They offered to help with scheduling tours, dinners, taxi rides. The breakfast was a beautiful spread of meat, cheese, pastries, eggs, juice, cereal. Lots of options. And a breakfast bag for the early airport flight. I didn’t use the spa service, but I wish I had. I’m adventurous and did a lot of public bus, hikes, runs and even mountain biking. I could have used a spa day. The pool was beautiful with a lovely view of the sea. The jacuzzi on the patio was a great feature, and great for photos- however it did smell of plastic from the plastic cover. Not sure a way around that, perhaps a rubber cover would do the trick.

Included and service was helpful, the food itself was mediocre. The location while about a 12 or so minute walk was not at all
safe and not for people who are not strong. Cars will swam past you and not stop. The pool, while very pretty, is surrounded by cars driving around the hotel. Also, my tv was crooked, the programming was “scrambled”

Newer property with great amenities. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Walking to the shopping, walking area is possible but it is uphill (10-12 min), a lot faster coming down.
Front desk staff was excellent. Special mention to Hope.

The gym could use a little upgrading, but the hotel was otherwise gorgeous and the staff very kind and helpful. Our 2-bedroom suite had two levels and was incredibly spacious. And we walked home from dinner in town within minutes. Highly recommend.

Excellent property, set 10 minute walk from town centre away from all the crowds, this means that you get more space with this hotel.
Staff are AMAZING and really care. As we went at the start of the season, it was a little quiet at the start of the week but got busier at the end.
This hotel has everything you need. The drinks are fairly expensive but this is common on the island. The food is good quality and tasty.
We opted for a room with a private pool and wow, it was amazing, really comfortable and loads of space.
Could not fault this hotel or staff at all. We loved it and would love to return.

Never met nicer staff! So helpful and friendly. Room was lovely, clean and specious, had a room with pool which was very quiet.

Communal pool area was lovely always got a seat. Drinks reasonably priced and food delicious - especially Greek dips and club sandwhich. Breakfast also delicious, good range of food and all nice.

I loved everything about this hotel, if I had to say a negative it would be pool wasn’t heated. If you struggle with mobility there is a 10 min walk up the hill might not be suitable, but for us the location was great away from the nightlife but only a short walk away. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

It is at the entrance to Fira, not in the caldera so a 10 min uphill walk is required to get to the main town. We had a rental car so getting around was easier.

The staff were amazing. Ditto the service. The room was huge and I was upgrated to one with a hot tub which was wonderful. The location is great (9' walk from Fira) if you want a car and to avoid thr crowds. It's just the spectacular views thst you wiil be missing and the thoughtful design or sophisticated luxury you get in otherr 5 star hotels. But this is Santorini, and compared to similar properties at prime locations, overlooking the caldera this is still good value for money. Also, a big shout out to Anna Maria for an great massage!

This hotel was, by every stretch of the imagination, a 5-star hotel. From the moment we checked in until check-out, we were treated with a genuine warmest, sincerity, and a smile to boot. Every staff member was friendly, customer focused, and fulfilled any and all our requests. The location is 10 minutes from the center of the town of Fira. The grounds of the hotel are well taken care of. Breakfast was the best we had during our travel to Greece. We'd stay there again if we went back to Santorini.

My first interaction with Astro Palace to set up a birthday surprise for my wife.

Hope greeted us at reception and discreetly didn’t wish my wife happy birthday until after she entered our suite door and saw her surprise: a large heart of rose petals on the bed and around the floor, a bouquet of flowers, birthday cake and wine. It was a lovely moment, which Hope left us to enjoy by ourselves, and a perfect start to our honeymoon and first holiday in 3 years!

After the birthday surprise, as it was already late when we arrived, we quickly got ready for dinner at the hotel restaurant and met Kostas for the first time! Kostas is a lovely soul, a great source of information and was ever-present during our stay. The food and cocktails were excellent, so we returned for cocktails most evenings and had breakfast everyday, including the lovely omelettes ordered by Kostas.

We booked massages with the delightful Kiki, part of the Astro Palace Spa Team, and experienced the best massages we’ve had to date by Anna and Mike. I used to have monthly sports massages and we’re both qualified masseuses (as a hobby), so we know what good feels and sounds like.

Hope was amazing and we always looked forward to speaking to her and Dorothy on reception. All the staff at Astro Palace were exceptional, personable and genuinely invested in ensuring their guests had the best stay in Santorini, by providing guidance on where to visit, eat and drink and then seeking feedback when we returned.

Very nice facilities. The staff is excellent and takes really good care of you. The private pool was big enough for our 6 year old and the common pool was also decent size (which are a luxury in Santorini). The view from one side of the hotel was good but the views from Santorini are overall so good that we did not mind having a caldera view room. For families I think this is a really good hotel.

We had a great 8 day stay in this hotel. Their staff were the most hospitable staff we have ever encountered at a hotel. They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door. Hope, Marylena & Efi at the reception were all smiles and always there to assist us. They also were able to recommend places to get any type of meal that we needed as well. Ahmed, Kosta & Sultana were extra attentive to our needs every morning when we have our breakfast. Loved the egg omelletes and pastries. Maria, Stella & Anna at the Spa were amazing. We had the traditional candle couples massage, it was so relaxing. The hotel is so beautiful, the rooms are spacious, and immaculately clean. We had our own hot tub inside our room for which we used at least 3 times to relax after too much walking. The location is great, only a few minutes walk to the center of the city. It is also about 12 minutes drive from the airport.

This property is not on the cliffs of Fira, but it's within walking distance. What we liked about the Astro Palace is that it is close enough to be in the middle of everything and yet east to get to, conveniently located near the main road and quiet in the meantime. What is extra special about this hotel is the staff, they are extra friendly and extra helpful. They will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. I have to mention some of them, Marlayna, Dorothy, Effi, and Anna Maria and of course the kitchen and bar staff, superb. The place is very clean inside the rooms and out on the property.

This is a very nice property in a great location, close enough to the caldera of Fira but not right in the middle of all the crazy traffic. However, what makes this place special are the staff!!! Lola at the front desk was unbelievable, she was helpful beyond words. She Went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and help out with whatever you needed.
Also the spa/massage place here Aegeo is unbelievable, the ladies here are incredible, Tania, Hia and Gabriela were fantastic, my wife and I got a couples massage, it was so good we went back again the next day, had we stayed there more we probably would have gotten a couples massage every day!!! Thank you Everyone for making our stay awesome!!

The hotel is \"tired\", I wouldn't say it's a 5 star hotel, more of a 3.5
Our room was extremely dirty, hair on the floor everywhere, ants, dust...you can tell someone just moved out and not much cleaning effort was out. Also, facilities itself are a little bit worn out, furniture has scratches and marks, very dusty everything, the pool is outdated as well. Breakfast and food at the pool also just barely okay, not your typical 5 start resort food.
I would like to say that customer service at this hotel as 10 stars! Every single person from the front desk to spa people were super friendly and nice and willing to accommodate anything we asked for. We got a room upgrade and a bottle of wine as Gold Members of hotels.com, I just had to ask. It's not people's fault the hotel is slightly ran down and not kept very well. Also the staff at the pool and room service seemed to be tired and not happy about their jobs, I'm sure those people are working extra hard and not making too much money.

Ok. For me not a five star. Too noisy fan in the room the AC didnt work properly. The spa service is overly priced. Im not saying anymore but than i came from Mykonos Riviera Luxury hotel so nothing could top that.

This hotel is about 1.5 blocks from Fira city center. This was very convenient to walk into town for gym, haircut, dinner, etc. the staff is all so kind and helpful from the moment you arrive. The hotel itself is not on the water- so if that’s what you’re looking for this is not the right place. However, the pool is very nice as is the breakfast each morning. My only issue was the fitness center had a treadmill that kept skipping and very limited weights. I would recommend they upgrade their fitness center. Although there is a gym in town if you need.

The Astro Palace is truly a beautiful property but it’s the service that sets it apart from all others. We so enjoyed our stay the Astro. There were a few glitches here and there but the staff really went out of their way to make things right and you can’t ask for more than that. We highly recommend this property when visiting Santorini.

We got there early. Lola was fantastic getting us checked in and comfortable by the pool while we waited. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. We had our private pool, which was clean and quiet. All the staff was nice and helpful. We did not rent a car and used the local bus to travel to Oia and Kamari Beach (1.60e). We did get a taxi when it was time to get a COVID test (15e). It was very hot and humid during our stay, making the walk into town seem forever away. It is about 10 minutes. This place isn’t as close as other hotels, which are in the heart of restaurants, shops, and activities.

I can’t speak enough how great this place was for my wife and me. I have been to over 20 countries on vacation and even though my wife like more the island vacations than myself the staff made this my favorite vacation ever so far. I wish I recalled more names but Hope and all the front desk workers were all perfect and aided us with anything we asked and even gave some restaurant recommendations. They constantly impressed me with making our trip great from the amazing Spa Crew relaxing us with the Aphrodite and Apollo massages on my wife’s birthday to returning to the room with Birthday decorations and wine. The pool staff always checked on us making sure we didn’t want for anything. The front desk went out of their way to coordinate tours that we really wanted to do. One hiccup was the alcohol drinks sometimes my wife would order a drink she liked then ordered the same one again it wouldn’t taste the same but they always was willing to switch it out. Overall if I return to Santorini this will definitely be the place I stay. Last thing the location is perfect too.
