I love this hotel . The last time I was in Istanbul, I stayed at Mukarnas Taksim which I had a pleasant stay. So I tried this one and has exceeded my expectations. It is really close to everything and had good amenities. The staff at the dinning area are very helpful, accommodating, always smiling and willing to help. The guys at the reception were also the same. They were always helpful and answered all my inquiries. I spent 4 days there and it was all worth it! I will definitely stay there again.. if I can give 10 stars, I will.

It was my first time in Istanbul and I enjoy walking everywhere. Hotel location was good; a short walk to Istiklal Caddessi and many restaurants. It is a longer downhill walk to Galata Tower, Galata Bridge, the port, etc. which means uphill on return to hotel. Found the room clean & quiet. And, the breakfast was wonderful with a lot of variety.

I arranged an airport transfer with this hotel which was 60 Euros, b/c I was arriving in the evening. Just wanted the easiest and safest method which it wasn't. As a solo female traveler it was unnerving/scary to be approached outside of the airport bldg at Exit 8 by multiple drivers. I knew none of them were my booked driver b/c they didn't know which hotel I was staying at. Once my driver came (he had a lanyard that read CEO34) I was then passed on to another driver. This driver led me down to a parking garage. I waited there with another couple who didn't speak English for 1/2 hour. Then, I was passed on again to another driver whose van was parked farther away. This driver didn't speak any English, but was very smiley. I was a lone passenger in a van decked out in bright red plush seats and red track lighting on the ceiling. I had to gesture to him to turn down the loud techno party music he played as I was very tired from a very long flight. He then put on English love songs. Made it to the hotel safely, but as a solo female it made for a lot of worry. I don't understand why it wasn't more straightforward and professional.

We had an amazing time at this hotel. All the staff from receptionist, kitchen staff and housekeeping made us feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfast is amazing. The rooms are super clean and quiet. The hotel is vey close to Galata tower and 5 minutes from Taksim.

The hotel is a 2 min walk to the main Istiklal street which has all the shops, terrace restaurants etc…
The buffet breakfast is fabulous with a lot of variety. You actually have waiters serving coffee and ensure you are ok

The location of the hotel is perfect. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Some of the names I remember: Nacati, Fatih, Yusuf. I would like to thank them all, but specifically, I would like to than Sencar, who was of great help. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is good. I recommend the hotel to people visiting Istanbul, but they should make sure not to get a room below the lobby level as it is blocked with no view.

Outstanding Stay – Highly Recommended!

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel for six nights, and I can’t speak highly enough of the excellent service provided by the reception staff, especially Fatik and Yusuf. They went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable — from helping me with directions around Istanbul to assisting with room-related matters and ensuring I was connected to the internet. Their warm hospitality and willingness to help with anything I needed made a big difference.

The buffet breakfast was also fantastic, with a good variety and fresh options every morning. The housekeeping team was incredibly helpful and kept the room spotlessly clean throughout my stay. The room itself was super clean, comfortable, and nicely set up — I felt very much at home.

The location is absolutely perfect — everything you could need is right at your doorstep, from shops and cafes to transport and attractions.

I was extremely happy with my entire experience and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Turkey!

Best hotel

Mukarnas Pera is one of the best hotels in Istanbul. Offers all you need to make your stay comfortable and unforgettable. Also, it is located in a central position - 1 minute to the vibrant Istiklal Street with its amazing restaurants and beautiful boutiques.Taksim place is just a few steps away as well. If you plan to visit other attractions the metro station is around 8 minutes walk which is very convenient. Highly recommended!

First off, the hotel’s shuttle service was 30 minutes late to the airport. Once at the hotel, it took us 30 minutes to check-in because a larger group of 20 took priority over myself despite the group’s insistence on me going first. The room was clean but a bit worn down. However, the view was quite nice. The hotel’s breakfast was above average and the day-shift staff were friendly.

Amazing, I can’t even explain the professionalism and how far and beyond the staff went for us. I have stayed in so many hotels, this was by far one of the greatest. Staff friendly and attentive with whatever need you have, and the breakfast was A+. I befriended several workers named Spencer and Cudi. I mean these gentlemen went far and beyond for me and my wife. One of the best hotels

Absolutely loved my stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The staff was friendly and attentive, and I felt truly welcomed from the moment I arrived. The large variety of delicious breakfast options was stunning. The only downside was the noise from a nearby disco at night, but this shouldn’t discourage you from booking a room here. Just bring some ear plugs with you in case. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Istanbul!

The hotel is very close to the famous Istiklal Street but on a quieter side street. Walking distance to Taksim Square and Galata tower, though the roads to Galata tower are downhill.
Everything was super clean, the breakfast had a huge variety, and staff was very helpful. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

Bad hotel, good location

The room wasn’t clean at all, I arrived with my friend who lives in Istanbul because I was awake for 22 hours and had to take 3 different flights to arrive yet they made it an issue that he helped us to our room and made sure we were all good and that we didn’t need anything for the night, when I woke up the room turned out to be filthy, they wouldn’t refund me and eventually I upgraded just so i can get a clean room etc, another friend wanted to come see the stuff I bought from Istanbul and video call my mom, they made me pay 30 euros to let her come upstairs for the 10 minutes she was there for, overall a horrible hotel but a prime location.

Mukarnas Pera Hotel was a great find in Istanbul. The Taksim neighborhood felt centrally located to experience the city. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a great way to start your day before going to see the sites. Staff were all super super nice specially Aisha and Ibrahim. All hotel staff do whatever they can to make your stay more pleasant. We traveled as a family of 4 and had 2 rooms. We came back with nothing but great memories.
We will certainly go back and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Very nice hotel right near Istiklal street. It was also easy for taxis to access the hotel since Istanbul has very steep and hard-to-access roads. Would definitely stay here again.
