This is my third time staying st this hotel in Instanbul this year. From the moment you enter they greet you with warmth and smiles, they remembered me, that made me feel good. The Hotel Staff is very warm and curtious….The service while staying here was exceptional. They treat you very good. The rooms are clean. The ambiance is great. The restaurant food is also great! I highly recommend.

It's pretty clean and safe. Quite and close to food shopping area. Police station is next building. I do not like laundry service. It's very expensive. There's a laundry place not too far which was very cheap compare to the hotel.

I stayed in this hotel many times, everytime i come to istanbul i stay here but this time was terrible. They kept charging us for stuff we never used. They threatened my guest with calling the police. They locked my key card so i cannot access my room which had all my clothes, money and passport. They repeatedly would send someone to our room to bother us. The staff is disgustinly rude and has terrible service. I will never be sgaying here again and i will recommend everyone i know ñ not to stay here.

It was worse experience ever. They had very bad attitude the lady in the breakfast restaurant so rude. The reception guys don’t want to listen and discuss anything. All over it was bad experience . I choose the hotel, because part off IHG group but looks like owned by reception employees.

Wonderful Holiday Inn !

It was my first time in Istanbul with my daughter and I stayed 13 nights in Holiday Inn Istanbul Old City. I have booked it from Bangladesh and found the overall service very good except one thing no A/C was running because heating was going on. Some nights it was very hot, I opened the window even could not sleep. I talked to the reception several times and asked them for A/C but it didn’t work out. Second issue was internet not available all the times.
But cleanliness and location was excellent.

The prices are 5 stars ones but the room was not even 2 star standards. Dust on the glass shelves above the dirty fridge , headboard, lights fitting and bathroom make up mirror which looked so old and flaky.
Carpet were stained ,black marks on the walls, socket off the wall, air conditioning grill is off the wall and made such a loud noise when put on 2 or 3 and it was manually operated.
The kettle was broken so called the reception about it, they came and took the kettle and didn’t replace it. So I called them again they said someone will repair it and they try to blame me for it. They didn’t replace the kettle until a day later I complained about it and then they sent the replacement kettle. We even run out of hand soap I had to tell them about it as the cleaner didn’t fill the dispenser in the morning.
The only good thing about it is location quite good. Other than that nothing really. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone as 5 stars hotel.
Very dissatisfied and disappointed because when I booked it I looked at the name HOLIDAY INN such a reputable company worldwide and I have stayed in their hotels in the UAE before and it was so good.
However this one I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Hotel was fine. We only sleep there do not hang around pool or bar/restaurant. We believe maid service could improve a little. They did not see dirty glasses and did not replace. Also, room was non smoking but maybe you could smoke there in the past and the smell of tobacco seems to still be present. The tub seemed a bit too high making it not too easy to get in/out. Towels seemed a little worn out. Location was great.

This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed. I had to leave the hotel after two days and booked the Hilton Istabul for our last two nights.

The room was very hot and the air conditioning was not working, I was told to go and open the window in the room as they centrally control the heating. This made the room hot, unbearable and the noise from the outside main road meant we could not sleep all night.

I got the room changed the next day to another room which was in the smoking area, as that was all they had. the room also had exactly the same problem as it was hot and opening the window meant a lot of noise. The Air conditioning was not working. I reported this twice and nothing was done.

We eventually made up our mind to just leave ,lose the money and go somewhere else. To our surprise, the guiy we told we were leaving was so unconcerned and did not even ask why we were leaving. despite the fact that we had two nights left.

I had to tell him that it is very disappointing that he did not care to ask why the gueust were leaving and he just said, i will let the manager know.

There were construction going on in the lobby which meant it was dusty, there were electrical wires and there was a smell of burning electrical wires which meant it was very unsafe.

The swimming pool is only opened 4 months in ayear we were told and was not available for use whilst we were there.

Aircon didn't work, it was ALWAYS 29 degrees in the room, even when the outside temperature was 6 degrees.
Wifi wouldn't stay connected for longer than 60 secs, TV didn't work. Ran out of toilet roll one day, shower to the rescue. Besides the pregnant lady at the reception the rest of the staff were a bit useless. A really good thing was that it was opposite the tram stop and that there was a really good Turkish bath room. Don't recommend.

It is a small, quiet family hotel run by a young dynamic team under the valiant eye of the owner who keeps an eye on every single detail . The hotel is very quiet, located very close to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia Mosque, not far from the metro station and 2 stops from the Spice Bazaar.

The carpet in the room is old and has several stains, cleaning is done daily with a change of clean sheets and towels which are worn out and appear to have not been renewed for a long time.
Small worn television with various programs and channels.
Overall I was satisfied although my room was across from a busy and noisy boulevard.
The good note to the varied breakfast which I was unable to enjoy while under dental care.

Hotel needs a remodel.

I have stayed at a lot of holiday inns and this was one of the worst. The rooms are outdated and desperately need to be remodeled. The furniture and room were in bad condition. My room had hand prints on the wood paneling that was on the wall. I wouldn’t not recommend staying here. I’m not sure how this place is rated a 5 star when it is in such bad condition.

I liked everything in this hotel, i stayed here for 15 days, the metro station right in front of the hotel, i didn't try the hotel food because i spend all my day out and want to try the outside food , there is a supermarket near the hotel so i get what i wanted from there. I really loved the steam room and the turkish bath, service really good, internet is fast, cleaners who come every day to clean are honest and nice people.

Overall location, service, internet and honesty is perfect.

Although an older hotel and a little tired in places, it was still k for what I needed. Very conveneinet for the tram, about 7 - 9 stops to the old city depending on where you need to get, takes about 15 minutes. Not much in the immediate area, but restuarants can be found about a 10 minut walk away. Room was OK, as was breakfast

Quite, clean and very comfortable. Location is great just opposite to Tram station and with easy access to main city’s attractions.
Just small comment regarding the water. In all 5 stars hotels they usually put couple of complimentary water bottles daily, it’s really shameful to see a 5 stars hotel not providing a free bottle of water! I know the cost of water bottle is 12 TL only but regardless, this is a 5 stars hotel!

the hotel location is ideal. the tram station is opposite the hotel. Some of the reception staff were a bit rude and unhelpful at times. The sauna, steam room and turkish hammam were awesome but it was a shame they are mixed. my wife could not make use of these facilities. it would be nice to allocate slots for women only. Overall we were satisfied with our stay
