Nice facilities - clean and nice staff. However, the beds were not great. The biggest problem is there is minimal noise proofing and the hotel is next to three large mosques which have very loud calls to prayer.

Very noisy hotel. Amneties are limited and bad.
The cleaner came and banged my door several times after 5 PM despite the fact I asked her that I just got the room, and it doesn't need any cleaning. The room next to me has an electricity issue, and the wiring was passing through my room.
However, the Egyptian guy at the reception was the only great thing in this hotel.
Very respectful and helpful.
The room was clean but too small.
No safe box.
AC was weak.

Location:
The hotel is located in a cramped, third-world-esque area which was not pleasant to be in. It is 11 mins by rail to the central attractions like blue mosque which is decent. However, the area the hotel is in is crowded, cramped and ugly.

Service:
After 15 hours of travelling to get to the hotel, I checked in tried to have a brief nap before exploring the city. I was awoken by banging on my door from an extremely persistant housekeeping as there are no \"do not disturb\" door handle hangers / signs to use. A few minutes later I was again awoken by knocking on my door by this time by 2 men saying they need to complete some \"electrical work\" in my room and wanted me to leave for a while. I then left the room to visit a restaurant and was told the maintenance would take approx 30 mins, I arrived back at least 30 mins later and was made to wait in the lobby for at least another 30.

Room:
Here is the main issue with this hotel, the rooms look nothing like they do in the images on Expedia. They are extremely dated with old furnature, switches that don't work / do anything and not to mention, false advertising. I booked the hotel through Expedia where it stated the hotel had 4 single beds. As I am traveling with 3 more people this was great. Upon arrival, I was given a room with 2 single beds and a double bed. This is not even close to the worst part. Here is a list of some issues with the room:
- Exposed electrical wiring in the bathroom
- The bathroom door doesn't close

Green Anka Hotel is very bad place to stay, I had reserve a room for five nights but once they find out that you book online they will give you the worse room ever. I had many complains but they never answer once. room never clean, shower over flood, washroom celling leaking, the fridge has
bad odor mold. and more if go on list will be so long.

Excellent location. 10 minute walk from Aksaray Metro Station, which is main hub to other location of Istanbul. 18 second walk to Tram Station. A lot of cafes, restaruants, shops, amusement places nearby. Hotel staff is wonderful, room services is great. Breakfast is great.

Stayed there one night before I had my flight from Atatürk Airport. Location directly at the tram line is ok. The reception wanted 100Lira at my checkin just for my girlfriend to put her bags in my room so we could go for a walk before she ld leave for her flight a few hours later. Absolut no go! There is no extra facilities and the breakfast was not offering a good variety. The TV in the room was 20+ years and smaller than the screen of my cellphone.Next time I ld go to a nicer place closer to the airport with

The star rating for this hotel is perplexing. The room was dirty, no baseboards on the wall behind the bed, security bolt on door was missing half the hardware, but the holes were in the door where it should be. The staff were not helpful. It was chosen specifically for its location for. Short stay and budget. The description was misleading, as was the star rating.

Old City Istanbul

This isn't for tourists, but if you have business in the old section of Istanbul and are acclimated to travel in the greater Middle East, this is a wonderful and affordable option. At about half the price of the Ramada Old City, it's only a half block away from that American outpost. Two tram stops from Istanbul University, three from the Grand Bazaar. I don't speak Turkish, but got along and the staff went out of its way to accommodate me. There's a standing buffet on the bottom floor with fresh dishes and a tea/coffee bar in the lobby.

Very poor on quality and value for money!

The hotel location was ideal as it was local to the tram, taxi, bus line however the actual hotel was a huge disappointment. This was our first family holiday and we requested rooms together but on the first night had 2 rooms on separate floors. We got a change of room however we had paid for a triple room and got double rooms with an extra bed stuffed in it. The breakfast was very basic with hardly any variety the same food for 5 days. Although the staff were very helpful if you need a cheap place the location is ideal, but the hotel is not child friendly as there were no baby seats or anything at breakfast. The hotel air conditioning did not work either and it was difficult sleeping in the heat with the windows open and listening to a lot of noise early in the morning. This is not a 4 star hotel, I would rate it 2 star only.

The Bathroom was not cleaned properly.
the floors of the room were not clean. you can feel the grit when walking in the room.
The most terrible part was the Airconditiing was eneffective and when i visited the hotel was August and I could not sleep because of the heat. The service staff came and set it to maximum cool but that did not help at all.
The best part about the Hotel is that it is about 50 feet from the tram station which is very convenient to go anywhere for little money.

An unexpected Turkish Delight

The hotel was a pleasant surprise. I arrived at the tram stop for the hotel late at night (it was actually on Christmas Eve) after an easy ride on the metro and tram from the airport, and I found myself on a very busy traffic artery, roaring with heavy traffic even at this time of night, and it did not look like a quiet or attractive, let alone \"romantic\" area at all. But first impressions can be misleading. The Hotel was in a very quiet narrow side street just a few metres from the tram stop.The hotel turned out to be a very inviting and cosy place. The following morning my doubts about the area dispersed. The busy main road is flanked by wide pavements, and there is a pleasant normality going on, with plenty shops, banks, post office and really nice unpompous cafes and eating establishments, which are usually open until midnight., just round the corner from the hotel, Getting to the to the famous sights of Istanbul, the Blue Mosque etc. etc. is no problem. they are only a short tram ride away. The hotel is a friendly oasis, staffed by very efficient and friendly people, and it is very clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast buffet is a delight. I really liked this place and will stay there again on my next visit to this fascinating city

very nice and peaceful environment. quietly clean and quiet. Comfortable beds.
very friendly and helpful staff . Fabulous FREE breakfast. My fiance and I stayed there for 2 weeks and every day they put something new and delicious on the breakfast buffet. walking distance to tramway and metro with tons of restaurants and grocery stores around. It is a wonderful place to stay for its price. I will definitely recommend it.

The worst hotel I have yet stayed in in Istanbul. Cheap beds give you a bad back. Dust-devils on the floor. Towels are stained and damp; if you ask for them to be changed, you get more of the same. At breakfast you're served dried-up left-overs from the day before -- when you complain, you get shrugs from a hostile waiter. Airconditioning is centrally controlled and turned off all day, and when you ask about it you are told that \"we turn it on at 7PM\" but this is only half-true as the hotel then turn it off around 11PM and are reluctant to turn it back on. It's not very cold, in any case. This hotel should not be on expedia.

Zimmerreinigung war eine Katastrophe,
Beim Frühstücksbuffet war der Käse verschimmelt,
Bettlaken hatten nicht übersehbare große Flecken,
Duschkopf war komplett verkalkt, sodass das Wasser nicht gut fließen konnte - zB Haare waschen als Frau war eim Horror.
Würde das Hotel keinesfalls empfehlen!

Salle de bain très sale (gros trou béant présent dans le plafond, nous avons demandé à trois reprises de le réparer mais jamais fait)

Personnel très froid et pas du tout souriant ni accueillant

Gute Lage aber sonst nicht empfehlenswert.

Hotel ist auf arabische Besucher abgestimmt. Frühstück konnte ich nicht einnehmen, da andere Gäste alles mit den Händen anfassten.
Zimmer sind groß, aber Einrichtung alt und kaputt, auch nicht unbedingt sehr sauber.

Hizmet hiç iyi değildi. Kahvaltıda servis çok gecikmeli geldi. Kahvaltıya indiğimde çay bitmişti. Garsonlardan yenisi gelince bir bardak getirmelerini rica ettiğimde bana demliğin yerini gösterdiler. Odada yatak çarşafları kirliydi. odalarda bırakın ikram çayı, su bile yoktu. Tuvalet hijyeni de kötüydü. Dolayısıyla hiç memnun kalmadım.
