The rooms are spotless and the junior suit i booked had everything you could possibly need. From the full size hair dryer, ironing board and coffee machine down to fluffy bath robes. Staff where extremely accommodating . Good turkish breakfast with additions like pastries and omletes.the spa and gym are 1st class.
I will definitely be stayimg again. Excellent location with good transport links to everything.
Located in fatih there are plenty of affordable local restaurants much cheeper than taxim square.

I traveled from the U.S. (14-hour flight) to Turkey for an important one-week trip to pick up my wedding dress, and I was extremely disappointed with my stay. The room next to us was partying loudly late at night for multiple nights, and I was unable to sleep at all. I reported the issue to the staff, and they told me the guests were removed, but this was not true — the noise continued and nothing was resolved.

This made my stay very stressful and exhausting, and the hotel did not provide the peaceful environment advertised. Very disappointing experience for the price I paid through Expedia.

The room given was not what I paid for. They joined the 2 single beds together with out and mattress topper. The switch by the bedside was not even working, The LED light above the bed was broken. The bathroom had mould on in it and was leaking. The shower head was not working properly. They changed the room next day. They gave a us a room with a double bed instead of KING size bed and very small room. I paid for a standard KING bed room. I complained about this but it was to deaf ears. I would not rate this Hotel as a 5 star Hotel. The dining area is like you are in 3 star hotel. The breakfast does not have a lot of options as a 5star hotel. Some of the staff do not have any customer service.

There was black mold in the bathroom shower, .
One night after dinner the bartender and a waiter came knocking at our door, supposedly with a fruit platter for us. We were already in bed and they came into the room to deliver the so-called fruit platter. We felt very unsafe.

We stayed at this hotel in Istanbul for seven days, booking two family rooms, each advertised as a triple. Overall, we would rate our stay 4 out of 5. While the hotel is marketed as a five-star property, it didn’t fully meet that standard.

Positives:

Great location, close to main attractions and amenities.

Good facilities, including a spa and gym.

Very helpful staff — throughout our stay there wasn’t a situation where a staff member couldn’t assist.

Breakfast offered a decent range of choices and was enjoyable.

Negatives:

The rooms were small for triples.

The mattresses and pillows were poor quality, uncomfortably soft and bouncy.

In summary, the hotel has a lot going for it, particularly its location, facilities, and excellent staff. However, improvements in room size and mattress/pillow quality would make the experience more in line with a true five-star.

The room was way too dark as if it was meant to just sleep.
Wifi password needed to be updated quite often and daily even if we stayed >1 week. There was no option for just entering a Wifi password just once.

El personal es encantador educados y atentos por otro lado las mujeres que limpian las habitaciones no hacen una buena limpieza .
El jacuzzi del hotel no funciona y no puedes usar la piscina si no tienes gorro de nadador el cual ellos te venden .
Tiene una muy buena ubicación y sus empelados son muy gentiles su bufé del desayuno es muy bueno pero el restaurante es excesivo en sus precios si quieres almorzar con ellos .

After I made my reservation and received confirmation, I sent a message to hotel team via Expedia to ask if they can help me with shuttle service. I didn’t get any response from them that I had to book the car service by myself.
When we arrived, the receptionist lady was not so much welcoming. However, next day, the receptionist guy in the morning shift was very helpful and he gave us some advice on tourist destinations. I believe if we ask them in person with shuttle service from hotel to airport, they would definitely help us. It’s just I didn’t hear from them before coming to the hotel, when I needed airport to hotel pick up service, I made online round trip booking already.
Also, when we arrived the room, it wasn’t as in the pictures in Expedia. The room furniture looked little old. We didn’t have bath robs in our room from the beginning, but when we requested them , we received upon request.
The only thing I like about the hotel was housekeeping service that cleaned our room every day. And anytime we asked any additional staff like iron or slippers they were very quick and delivered to our room.
The daily breakfast was also delicious and on time
The guy in the gym/ spa reception was also very friendly and helpful.
Also, the day of the check out, the receptionist was very helpful and he helped us to weight our luggage , so we can make sure that we don’t have overweight suitcases.
In general, our stay was okay. I just thought it would be 5 star hotel service.

Definitely not 5 stars, the $100 holding fee was not mentioned at the time of booking, was given a room by the noisy lifts with drainage smells, connecting door to occupied room next door and views of a backstreet when booked otherwise. Was given another room with a huff and it was not up to 5* standard they claim. Charge €2 if you lose your room card which never happens in any hotel, chain or not. Staff glued to their phones and avoided contact with guests unless forced to deal with at reception. Breakfast is diabolical, basement room with the most basic offerings, staff left the place a mess and only picked up dirty plates when the boss came in on our last day. Oh and a mouse running around the room floor and cleaners were too scared so ran off. As someone who stays in hotels twice a week around the world I do not recommend this establishment unless you want something extremely basic and happy to deal with noise and not up to standard rooms. Pictures were taken of obvious things not hidden/atypical.

This wasn’t my first time staying at Dosso Dossi Downtown, and like always, it never disappoints. From the moment you arrive, the service and staff go above and beyond honestly, they deserve a 20 out of 10. Friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The atmosphere is welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and everything just runs so smoothly. It truly feels like a home away from home. This property is walking distance to Alfatih mosque, we enjoyed walking there.
The condition of the bed was horrible, the sound of the tiny fridge was so loud we couldn’t sleep the first night we had to move to another room.
The breakfast buffet was okay.

Have previouly stayed in a few different 5* hotels in Istanbul however, what sets Dosso Dossi downtown apart has to be its cleanliness and amazing gym and SPA facilities. Additionally the members of staff are very polite and helpful. Definitely a hotel worth considering if you are staying in the area!

It's on the main road and lots of Cafe's next to the hotel. Room was good. Lobby space outside the room is the biggest I've seen amongst hotels. The spa services were amazing. Turkish bath is a must. Breakfast was decent.. limited options for Vegetarians. Lunch was good. Service excellent. Located in the bustling area of Istanbul. Trams are at a 15 min walking distance. This is my second stay at this hotel, last time I stayed at this beautiful, elegant hotel back in 2016 and fell in love with the location.

This time around, I had a great stay! The beautiful entry and romantic lighting created a welcoming ambiance. Smooth check-in with no issues and staff were professional, attentive and accommodating.

Breakfast buffet was top notch. Overall, I had a great stay of 5 nights at this hotel and will be coming back again.

At last, Istanbul never sleeps and I love the city of Istanbul.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The property is extremely dated, and despite booking because it was advertised as clean, it was far from it. My room had stains on the furniture, including the suede headboard, which also had other people’s hair stuck to it. I had to use a lint roller to remove some of it. The bed was uncomfortable, and the linens were old, rough, and unpleasant to sleep on—I've stayed at 3-star hotels that were far superior.

The hot tub area was poorly maintained, with broken, wood-like paneling around it that smelled terrible, making it unusable.

To make matters worse, the staff was dismissive and disrespectful, particularly toward me as a woman. They repeatedly ignored my requests and would only respond when my boyfriend intervened, which was incredibly frustrating and demeaning.

Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I will not be staying here again. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

Friendly reception staff and cleaning lady on level 4 was amazing. She was always smiling and polite and did a through job of cleaning the rooms. Staff during breakfast were polite and helpful, went out of their way to make people feel welcome during breakfast. The staff in charge of Pool area were really friendly and helpful. Also massive thank you to the ladies that did an amazing job with massage session for me and my daughters. Definitely come back and stay at the hotel

I booked two rooms for our family. The first was very small and not the 25m2 advertised. The bed was right next to the corridor. The second was supposed to be twin but gave us a double. Next day we changed rooms and they charged me 40 euros per night rather than 30 euros for an extra bed for my daughter. Spa and swimming was good but mixed for men and women. I had to request a change of sheets and room clean as the bedsheets were not changed. Breakfast was good. Reception staff were the worst. Very unhelpful and with an attitude. The cherry on the cake was the return and accountability of room keys at check out. I have stayed before and so chose this hotel. I will not be returning.

Terrible hotel, this is not a proper 5 star place. Firstly they ask for a £100 deposit per room, which seemed unreasonable. After looking through reviews, the hotel like to accuse people of taking from the mini bar and if you refuse to pay, they will take from the deposit. The hotel tried to accuse us of doing the same. Secondly, the rooms weren’t up to scratch. There’s no proper lighting so it seems dingy, there is mould below the sink in the bathroom and none of the plug sockets hold up any plugs, they’re constantly falling out. Thirdly, cleaning of the rooms is not done well, the cleaners also like to throw away items without permission. This includes spare room key cards (which they charge you for if you lose). We also had an item stolen from our rooms, when we reported this to the staff, they stated nothing showed up on CCTV so there was nothing they could do. Obviously nothing showed up on the cameras in the corridors when it was taken from the room, why bother saying this in the first place. They refused to take responsibility for this either, they stated their only responsibility was towards the items in the safe and nothing else. This implies everything in the room is up for grabs ? We suspect the cleaners have been taking items and also from the mini bar.Lastly upon checking out, when we said all this happened, the staff were defensive and argumentative. This is not the customer service provided by a 5 star hotel. Please don't book this place, it’its a complete scam

Very kind staff but poor food quality

First of all I wanna say, the hotel staff is very kind and helpful. They do their best to make you comfortable. The room itself is clean and neat. Although the facility is located at the main street, you don’t hear anything from outside. Only downside of this hotel is ‘Food Quality’. For example, I think, there should have been a coffee machine(nespresso or so) in the room instead of instant coffee. Same for the breakfast as well, there was no filtered coffee, no crossiant or cream cheese. The products were mostly poor quality.
These things might be considered as extra but because of those extra things we choose a five star hotel, huh?

I was disappointed with the indoor pool and spa , actually I booked this hotel only because of my son (he likes to swim) but unfortunately we couldn’t use the pool at all . The pool is very very cold and the floor arround the pool is super slippery, my son and me we fall down on our back , even I could see other people falling down on their back . Iam so disappointed.
