Shower hose was leaking and also shower head holder's screws were lose so i couldn't shower and when i asked to get it fixed, it was only possible next day afternoon... so i couldn't shower at all after a long trip... so next day they fixed the shower hose but not the holder on the wall so, this time i could use the shower only by holding the shower head with one hand... Staff was friendly... but i needed more than that... but for the price it was ok .. i got what i paid for

When we arrived we were told our room was the basic room and that if we wanted to upgrade we could for an addition cost. I asked to view both rooms, we were then told we couldnt view the room we booked because there was someone else in it. So our room was given away and we were also expected to pay to change rooms, because it suited them. We were then told that we could stay in the upgraded room for free for the 1st night but would then have to change the next day. The upgraded room was no upgrade the room was tiny and you could hear everything from the people outside to the people in other rooms and also people coming up the stairs. Over all the hotel and area was a let down and we cut our 3 night stay down to 1 night and only stayed the 1st night because it was late by the time we got to the hotel

The positive point was JUST reception guy. But the negatives were as below:
1- I booked family room but they'd already gave it to someone else!!! I had to stay for two nights in a single room!
2- The room which was given to me had a very bad condition. Even the bathroom didn't have electricity! You have to open the door & ... (LOL)
3- The hotel location is somewhere which no TAXI will come to pick you up.
4- The worst thing was SMOKING surrounded me and the rooms weren't isolated to prevent you from that.

5- I know that the less price means less facilities but smoking, electricity and property conditions depend on good manner of business.

Overall, just give ONE star for guys who were really kind and polite. Thank them BUT it doesn't mean to give STARS more than ONE.

Watch out for parking. When I booked it says parking included but guess what?! It wasn’t. I have to look around with 2 little tiered kids… not fair… pay 160tl for overnight parking… I don’t like false advertising!!!

We booked a budget room and when we got there we were told it's already taken, so we were forced to upgrade to a better room. Wasn't too expensive though, so all good.

Hello I had a very bad experience from the beginning firstly there is no lift if you have luggage and then the staff are quite rude and unaproachable. Next they have no washing machine to wash clothes. Next my room was so small i couldn't take 2 bit steps either direction. Next they cleaned my room and changed the bedding etc on the third day after me having to request it and argue with them. Next the room had no window and it got very very hot even though the country is cold when I was there i had to keep the air conditioning open. Next the water in the shower room builds up on the floor as the hole is blocked where water exits from so all your feet are in dirty water. To be honest there is too many issues in this hotel i don't have time to go through . My advice is there is many hotels near by this hotel go elsewhere if you want to have a happy holiday.

Good for short visit.

The room was clean and fulfiled with facility I need. But upstair is restaurant, so it was a little bit noisy even not so much. And i had to go out for smoking paasing through the reception. Except that, every thing is fine for short stay.

A wonderful affordable hotel & a wonderful staff

A wonderful hotel and a wonderful staff. Everything in the hotel looks new, especially rooms furniture. The Wifi is excellent. The location is excellent too. It is close to Al Fatih Mosque and everything needed is nearby. The front officer Mr. Shukrat was an excellent young man who welcomed us and made us at comfort. I have been to tens of hotels in Turkey. This is one of the best ones I have been to. I recommend it.

Enjoyed my stay.

My stay at Fatih Hotel was enjoyable and relaxing. Room, although small, had a very comfortable bed, enough storage space, and a very well mainained bathroom. I was actually very impressed by how clean the hotel was. The hotel is well linked with the central area of Istanbul via bus, tram and metro. The spice market, which is pretty much close to everything, can by reached by bus within literally 15min. The staff was super nice and helpful. The only hickup was that the hotel seemed overbooked when I arrived (on Good Friday) and I was placed for the night in one of the basement rooms, which was okay for the night, but I do not recommend renting out these rooms for a longer stay. If you like to sleep at night like I do, you will find the basemsnt too noisy.

In general, as the title says, it is a clean and comfortable place. The rooms are clean, a big plus is that it was renovated recently, so everything is new.
One thing to note, is that the hotel is actually an old building that seemed to be an apartment building, just aconditionated as a hotel. Therefore, you will not find the normal reception, or a waiting hall, it is a bit \"informal\" but nothing to worry about. At the end, if what you want is a clean bed and a good bathroom to stay, this place has that without a question.
The breakfast is OK, nothing really special.
It seems that the hotel is getting a relaunch or something like that, therefore the \"new\" before \"Fatih Hotel\". So the staff is having the intention to help you with everything, sadly their English skills are not the best ones but they have a good will to serve you and keep you happy.
Sadly, I would not recommed the hotel because the location is not very suitable for sight seeing. The public transport connections are bad. In Istanbul, the simple transportation methods are the tram and the subway, and both are quite far away from the hotel. Metro is almost 700mts away, and tram about 1.5km away. If you want to go to the Topkapi palace, you need to take the metro and then the tram, so you spend around 30 minutes in that. There is a bus stop nearby, but believe me, it is not worthy to spend your time learning how to use the bus system. Better to spend your time enjoying the city.

It's explanation is different from real conditions

This hotel is located in a narrow valley in downtown without parking. It's divided to 2 part, reception and an small restaurant and 2 rooms without windows downstairs and the rooms upstairs without elevator. check in is 2 p.m and check out at 11 a.m which is different from what explained in advertisement. breakfast serves between 8:30 to 10:30 which is not suitable for a visitor. exactly after 10:30 the receptionist declined to give me the breakfast even it was ready. the other guy in reception was warmer and kind and helped me kindly.

I had only one afternoon and night in Istanbul before making my connection to Berlin. The New Fatih Hotel was the one bright spot in a rainy, cold, traffic-congested stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, their English was excellent, and I was bumped up to a better room at no extra cost;altogether a warm, clean and excellent place. I picked the hotel because of its closeness to the University and the Grand Bazaar, and its location in the old district; unfortunately, the weather and traffic ruined my chance to visit these places. Recommend the New Fatih Hotel.

Excellent hotel with extremely kind staff

The hotel was really nice and clean. Very well connected to the Ataturk airport, Taksim and other parts of the city. Sultanahmed area is within the walking distance. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe.
We stayed there for 5 days.
Hotel staff was extremely kind and helpful with everything. We took a transportation with the hotel because we arrived quite late, at 2 am, and a plane was delayed for an hour. The guy still waited for us and was really helpful with our stuff.

Nice hotel amongst locals away from tourists

Really friendly and helpful staff, some of whom could speak English. The location of the hotel is great. Down a quiet side street but wasn’t too difficult for taxis to find. Near to a main road full of modern shops, public transport and the beautiful Fatih mosque. But what really pleased us was that it is just around the corner from local shops and a small community park where the locals, young and old, congregate just to gossip, eat, drink tea and relax in the warm evenings. We felt totally safe in this area and surrounding streets, in the daytime and evenings. If you want to see the culture and how locals live rather than the tourist traps, this is the place for you.

The only downside to the hotel was that we chose a basement room. We had no problems with the room itself. It was clean and adequate. The ensuite with double-sized shower was fantastic. But, we were not aware that the room is right next to the reception- kitchenette-dining area. The noise of breakfast being prepared, the television, phone ringing and other guests will either wake you up early or keep you awake. The room is also located directly below a café/men’s club next door to the hotel. People in the cafe seemed to spend all day moving tables and chairs on a stone floor. The scraping sound will disturb your sleep. It goes on through the night and early hours of the next morning. My advice would be to go for this hotel but AVOID THE BASEMENT ROOMS.

Loved this hotel, guy insisted on carrying both our very heavy bags up stairs for us, great breakfast included. This is a bit away from the main tourist area which is why we loved it so much, very close to fatih mosque -easy walk there and market every we'd think it was. The mosque is more open to tourists and genuine feeling than the ones in sultanhamet. Can actually get a feel for the mosque here. Great restuarant down rd bit away from main rd called taiba restuarant-not really able to speak English at restuarant but amazing food and seriously cheap!

Schon beim Ankunft hatte ich den Eindruck, dass es insgesamt schlecht ist. Es ist kein Aufzug vorhanden und ich musste mit meinem schwierigen Koffer bis zur 4.Etage steile Treppen steigen. Fenster gingen nicht richtig zu, da die Griffe beschädigt waren. Bei Meldung an der Rezeption hat man mir gesagt, dass jemand am nächsten Tag zur Reparatur vorbeikommen wird - bis zum letzten Tag ist niemand da gewesen. WC Sitz war auch beschädigt und rutschte immer wenn man drauf saß.
Bettlaken hatte sichtbare Flecken, nur durch Meldung wurde der Raum mal betreten um die Bettwäsche zu wechseln. Ich durfte nach meinem Check-out noch meinen Koffer an der Rezeption stehen lassen, damit ich noch den Tag in den Umgebung verbringen kann - nur deshalb den zweiten Stern. Insgesamt sehr schlechter Service, nur zum Übernachten geeignet, angenehmer Aufenthalt ist nicht möglich.
Die Umgebung ist auch eher merkwürdig und man sieht kaum noch türkische Einheimische.

Recension av Hotellvistelse: Bekvämt, Budgetvänlig

Jag bodde nyligen på hotellet, och överlag var det en bra upplevelse. Med tanke på att det är ett budgethotell med konkurrenskraftiga priser var mina förväntningar inte höga. För mig är ett hotell främst en plats att sova och duscha, och i det avseendet uppfyllde hotellet mina behov. Rummet var rent, och receptionspersonalen var vänliga och tillmötesgående.

När det gäller hållbarhet var jag glad över att se att hotellet har A+++ luftkonditionering och återvinningsstationer tillgängliga. Det är dock värt att notera att hållbarhetsinitiativ till stor del beror på gästernas ansvar.

Det mest betydelsefulla att framhålla är att hotellet erbjuder utmärkt valuta för pengarna. Dess läge är särskilt bekvämt, med affärer, marknader, restauranger och en busshållplats i närheten. Dessutom kände jag mig säker i området, då jag ofta promenerade till Balat och andra områden, även sent på kvällen eller tidigt på morgonen.

Det är viktigt att hantera förväntningarna; hotellet är ett budgetalternativ, och medan det erbjuder alla nödvändiga bekvämligheter kan de som söker lyx och exklusiva boenden behöva leta någon annanstans och vara beredda att betala ett högre pris.

Jag bör också nämna att trots att hotellet har genomgått renoveringar, inklusive nya toaletter, badrum och målning, är själva byggnaden gammal, vilket är typiskt för många strukturer i området.

Sammanfattningsvis var jag nöjd med min vistelse, Jag hoppas att denna feedback ger användbara insikter för framtida gäster.

The only good thing in this hotel is the location otherwise was so bad services, dirty room, bad customer service (especially with English and communication skills), not comfortable bed, dush hand was broken, you must ask for new towels all the time, they guy who responsible about the cleaning and changing towels, sheets etc has a behaviour like the hotel's owner, he used to open a room close to me and talk in a phone so loudly.

Wir waren 6 Nächte im New Fatih Hotel in Istanbul. Das Hotel liegt sehr Zentral direkt in der Stadt. Das Personal ist Super Freundlich und nach ein paar Tagen war man schon fast Befreundet! Der Aufenthalt war Super!! 👍👍

We were there for 6 nights. Its really close to the city just takes you a few steps. The Staff is really nice and after a few days they were like Friends! Overall it was really nice to Stay in New Fatih Hotel and we will come again! Eveything was Awesome!

J’ai réservé une chambre dans un hôtel nommé New Fatih Hotel sous un numérom; 8120537560018 entre 13 et 18 octobre j’ai donc été surpris par ce qui suit: Il m'a donné une chambre au 4ème étage n° 403 sans fenêtres, et le toit était branlant et fané ,C'est du sable qui tombe, Quand j'ai protesté, il m'a donné une chambre au cave N° 1, à côté de la cuisine et la salle de réception, Le bruit des ustensiles de cuisine, l'odeur de la cuisine ont transformé ma vie en enfer, et plus encore le TV,et le air conditionné et réfrigérateur ne fonctionnent plus ، Pire encore, j'avais un café au-dessus de moi, à cause de leur bruit jusqu’, je ne pouvais pas dormir. , Et même eu l'insomnie sévère, Une des réceptionnistes n’était pas polie et a commencé à me marchander avec une chambre plus grande et plus propre, mais je paierais plus cher

Mir hat die Sauberkeit gefallen und die Klimaanlage. Was mir nicht gefallen hat, war das kaputte Fenster und der Fernseher der nicht funktionierte. Außerdem ging der Kühlschrank immer aus sobald man das Zimmer verlassen hat, was echt eklig ist wenn man was drinnen hat und zu lange weg ist. Was noch nicht schön war, war dass das Zimmer in der 4. Etage war, aber das muss man wohl leider so hinnehmen. Außerdem stand in dem Angebot, das man kostenlos parken kann. Das kann man wirklich, aber nur auf bestimmten Straßen irgendwo um dem Hotel herum. Da gibt es aber auch zahlungspflichtige Straßen und die, die kostenlos waren, waren kaum verfügbar. Alles rappevoll immer und zu jeder Zeit.

Ansonsten war alles gut.
