The morning breakfast employee was rude tried to charged me breakfast and I was suppose to get it free as a member, also the hotel charged $250 a night for incidentals charge my card $750 that is still pending.

The room and hotel were good. It was right in downtown so it made it very convenient to walk, we even walked to UC Davis. The only thing we did not like was the breakfast, it was very limited and the egg was not good, no flavor. The french toast was cold. Not what we expected at all

Want faster wifi (to match what I had at Quality Inn)? Costs extra. The QR code doesn't work for anything - had to get a handwritten parking permit. I've been to the hotel before but this time things didn't go right. In Sunday / Out Monday. My assigned room wasn't ready at check-in time ... though I got upgraded. Toilet near check-in didn't flush right. Internet WiFi down all Sunday with no explanation. Parking fee system didn't work for me. Surprised it was pay for breakfast now.

It smelled like it used to be a smoking floor, even though it was listed as non smoking. On the positive side; The lobby was clean and bright. I wish the room matched the lobby.

Great stay. I wish I had parked overnight on the street instead of paying 18 in the lot. Bed and room was very modern and comfy. Very nice area of town close to dining and shops. Surprised to find earplugs in room but emergency vehicles made it clear why - thanks staff! Check out the farmers market on Saturday. Really nice kids playground there if you have young ones.

We were disappointed with our stay. The hotel is two separate buildings and we were in the one in the back. The door to the building was not locked so anyone could walk through. The hallways weren’t clean and the building had a weird smell. Don’t let the pictures fool you. The patio area between the two buildings was not anywhere I would want to spend time.

Was in Davis for a soccer tournament. Hotel is very dated, things are literally falling apart. Got woken up on Friday at 6:30am by a construction happening right outside my window and workers staring in (thankfully didn't continue over the weekend). On the plus side, it's right in the downtown, so everything is walking distance. The courtyard area wa nice for a large group to hangout during the day.

A little bit confusing at first because there are two different buildings and we had a little trouble finding where our room actually was, but they were very helpful at the front desk and sorted it out for us. All in all, it’s a nice property. Very quiet and clean. My only complaint is that as a tea drinker, there is no way to simply make hot water in the room. The coffee maker only works if there is a Keurig pod installed. They do offer Jasmine tea pods but if you’re looking just to make a hot water to use your own teabag, you’re out of luck

After that first afternoon, I heated water for tea in the kureg and it was brown and filthy, there were black smudge all over the sheets and pilliow cases so they had to bring me new ones at 12:15am, I cleaned my feet and after walking kn the carpet they were pitch black , there was smelly stagnant water on the balcony that stank, the halls smelled so bad another person staying there who I did not know said it smelled like a porta pottie. There was a puddle of something leaking from the garbage can right next to the elevator that was not cleaned up the entire time I was there. I could go on and on.
It was so bad that the property manager OFFERED TO COMP MY ENTIRE STAY.
They said I should be receiving an email with a full credit which they had already informed Egencia about via email before I left the property.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was very clean (white linens). Everything in the bathroom worked well. The staff at the front desk were lovely. We ate breakfast and dinner at nearby cafes every day, and we had a great time.
