This resort is advertised as 5 star. It is 3 at best. It was clear that many of the facilities were poorly maintained and in need of upgrade. The pool in particular was had green algae on walls, steps and floor. Umbrellas were mouldy and disgusting. The signage messaging was aggressive in tone and staff confused about our booking. We definitely did not get a king bed as booked, instead two singles pushed together that was uncomfortable to sleep on. The furniture on our terrace was limited and very uncomfortable. Some cushioned lounger chairs would be better here. Avoid eating at the restaurant, it is totally overpriced and better food available outside resort. The cocktails were basic. We ordered Mai Tais which came without pineapple or passion fruit in. Rookie cocktail making. While the grounds and beach are a pleasant and peaceful environment to be within, I would not recommend currently staying here until some well overdue maintenance and customer service improvement occurs. Not a great experience for the price paid

Fantastic stay and a beautiful place. The beach is lovely and not overcrowded with just one row of umbrellas/loungers so you can enjoy the view. Lots of great little restaurants nearby that you can walk to as well. I would definitely come back and stay here again.

We fully enjoyed our few days at this hotel - the beach facing huts have all required facilities and are very clean and well maintained. The staff were attentive and keen to help. The beach and sea were lovely, and it was easy to get transport to various parts of the island to explore more widely.

We loved our room, and the semi outdoor nature style bathroom was lovely. The dining options were very expensive and small portions so we only ate there once. The view from the over water restaurant was really amazing.
The cleaning staff and wait staff were all lovely. The managers were always awkwardly walking around introducing themselves and telling everyone they were the manager. Lacking in people skills. Talking ‘at’ you instead of ‘to’ you.

incredible location right on the first line on the beach. good air conditioning, fairly modern design. of the minuses I will note the non-working bath and poor cleaning before check-in. neither the bath nor the shower nor the glass were washed, there is dirt and dust everywhere, this is disappointing to be honest. breakfasts are absolutely mediocre, they need to focus not on the quantity of dishes but on their quality. overall, due to the excellent location, we got good impressions

My husband and I spent our 21st wedding anniversary in paradise. There was a problem with our initial room but the response from the resort was prompt professional and surpassed our expectations. Our suite, the pools, walkways, and beach were beautiful but best of all were the great staff. A highlight was dinner on the pier. Thanks to the resort for the memory making experience.

The property is very unique. I was only there one full day and 2 nights. The jungle bungalow on the 2nd floor was like being in a treehouse. The beach is private and easily accessible and the pool is lovely and relaxing. Sunsets are beautiful and enjoyed from the beach could be a very romantic evening. The food was adequate for the time I was there. If you did a 4-5 day stay, you may want to venture out of the resort but nothing is walkable, you would need to arrange transportation. The breakfast offered is very nice, large variety of food

Decent resort check out the pizza at the Spot

Nice resort although it was very quiet even over the Easter weekend. Food and drink is expensive by Vietnamese standards. The best meal we had was at a pizza restaurant called the Spot, just on the road outside the resort gate. The pizza was the best we have ever had anywhere and the service was to match. Lovely wines and free desserts were a bonus. It was recommended to us by other guests and our meal there was the highlight of our evenings on the island. Would highly recommend it

My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Dining options are good, not 5 star but still lots of variety. Overall its a great experience in a beautiful location. We have been to some nice resorts in Hawaii, Jamaica, Mexico, etc and this experience ranks right up there. If you want a new experience, try Vietnam on for size.

Rustic, full of flowers and plants. I was first very concerned about mosquitos since the rustic design leaving the room not sealed from the environment. Surprisingly I did not get a single bite during the stay. Maybe it was not the mosquito season. I wish they have a bed turn down service at the evening. However, I did get food poisoning at its restaurant. The rice they served that time should never has passed the kitchen, which hopefully will be done better in the future.

The hotel was amazing, staff were helpful and extremely nice. Our room was always clean, stuffed with new bottles of water and fresh towels. They even had a beach bag and slippers, a mosquito spray and an umbrella. The room itself was so authentic, a real bungalow.
It was worth it to pay extra for breakfast; it was so variable and delicious. We would definitely recommend this place to visit. We are even thinking of coming back for a longer time.

I think the pictures oversell it. We booked a "premium king" bungalow but upgraded to an ocean view villa when we realized how little privacy the bungalows have. They are right next to each other, stacked one on top of the other, with the unfortunate feature of being able to hear other people's conversation.

That said, it is "good value" as other reviews have pointed out---so just know what to expect. Food quality was neither great nor bad. Staff were nice.

Needs to Improve Service & Quality for Prices

This resort has top-notch rooms and is situated on such a lovely beach. It is advertised as a premier resort and charges prices that match just that in their spas, restaurants, and other amenities on the property (i.e. paddle board rentals, laundry, etc.) The experience we had with nearly every single one of these things was atrocious. There is horrendous service at this resort in all of the bars and restaurants. The kicker is that the staff are incredibly friendly and try to be accommodating, but the venues are ridiculously understaffed, so the waitstaff and bartenders always seem so incredibly frazzled. It is truly absurd for a resort that tries to come off as high end. Our group of travelers were coming from the USA and Australia, so we were prepared to be paying the rates average of our countries, especially given that we were going to an island and seeking a luxurious resort. With that being said, the thing that was most frustrating was the prices they charged for such low quality goods and services.

If you choose to stay at this resort, I would just highly recommend going elsewhere for all drinks and meals.The prices are far higher than other local places on the island, thus the quality should reflect what they are charging, and also the service needs to improve by hiring more staff. Our room was lovely and the resort itself is beautiful, so we were bummed to have had such a horrible experience because of the amenities.

It was a fantastic experience. Outstanding property, location and their team is extremely committed, friendly and eager to serve with a smile.
Special mention to Ms.Bao and Mr. Ky who went the extra mile to make our trip very memorable. Ms.Bao ensured that we were comfortable and happy with our ocean view room and Mr.Ky helped to plan an outing to Hong Thom Island all the while helping to communicate with our local driver.
Mr.Trinh at the Ocean Bar & Grill restaurant is friendly and gives you good suggestions to enjoy the amenities and dining options on the property (including a fire show). This restaurant has stunning views of the ocean and food is great. They could consider to increase the menu options since by the end of our 4 day stay we had tried everything there and they were delicious. Breakfast options at the charming Treehouse Restaurant are good and enjoyable.
We met the little Mr.Nam, who is so enthusiastic and energetic while attending to customers on his summer holiday (who will be a future hotelier tycoon some day). It was a delight to watch him at work.
Cleanliness could be a bit better but we recognise that it’s not easy to maintain a resort right on the beach with the exposure to sun, sand and rain.
Overall, a very good stay. Great property, great people and together they make a compelling case. We will love to come here again.

The complimentary breakfast was amazing and big! $10 motor bike rental for a full day offered onsite. Lunches and dinners wasn’t expensive at all. We got a flat tire on the motor bike one day. Called the resort and the sent someone to help us and called us a taxi which they covered. Also waved the daily rental fee for that day. Would definitely recommend Ocean Bay and already talking about when we would like to return!

The best thing I liked about this property was the staff, especially the manager Trung. Trung and staff provided excellent customer service, they all went out of their way to accommodate all of our needs. Everyone working at the resort was very friendly and treated like Kings & Queens. I have stayed at many 5 Star resorts all the world and this one is now on the top of my list mainly due to Trung and his staff. Beautiful setting. Perfect for a relaxing beach holiday. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow which was spacious and nicely furnished with good sized terrace and space in garden for sun beds if you prefer to laze the day away under the palm trees instead of beach or poolside. Stunning sunset views. Staff were all very friendly and attentive to requests. The only negatives for us were that for lunch/dinner vegetarian food options in the restaurant were bland so we ate out in local places which were an easy short walk from the resort. Breakfast options were good mix of local and western cuisine but can get chaotic at peak times (you need to queue at separate bar for coffees). Would recommend and would stay again.

Beautiful setting for the hotel, right on the beach. Our room had a magnificent sea view, the perfect spot for catching a sunset.
The only thing I would point out is that the "bungalow" is actually either an upstairs or downstairs apartment, and the steps to the upstairs are very steep and potentially slippy in the rain. If you are at all unsteady on your feet request a ground floor "bungalow".
The staff were very friendly and helpful. On my first day at breakfast I asked if they had gluten free bread for toast. They didn't, but they baked some for the rest of our stay.
There is a free shuttle to the airport which runs every 2 hours.
If you fancy eating out of the hotel, there is a family restaurant opposite the entrance, or you have to catch a taxi into town. Taxis are relatively cheap and very easy to book on the Grab app (like uber).

I am super impressed with all crew members here at the Ocean Bay from the point of pick up all the way to the check out process. It's very evident the staffs are very knowledgeable and that they are very, very attentive to guests' needs. All my minor issues were all handled with the utmost professionalism.
The pool, the beaches and the green environment set the tone for a very mature, quiet visits. I even took advantage of the very on-site scooter rental and ventured out for a couple hour.
The restaurant offers excellent seafood options and breakfasts carry a variety of some Vietnamese authentic dishes and seasonal fresh fruits.
I'd definitely consider OB for my next time around travel plan, and strongly recommend so to others.

There’s a lot of amazing things about this resort. The staff are very friendly and attentive, great attention to detail. The airport transfer was a bit of a problem so be sure you confirm and reconfirm those details before arriving. The checkin process took a little bit of time. Go check out the property and the waiting shouldn’t be an issue. The ultimate relaxation spa package was wonderfully relaxing. The views are incredible. Beautiful view photos to take home! This place feels like paradise.

Le personnel est attentif et agréable, le service fluide sans être envahissant. Mention spéciale pour le restaurant : cadre superbe en bord de mer et cuisine de qualité.

Från regnskogsbadrummet, inredningen i rummet med fina ”sänghimmeln”, otroliga blommor/grönskande djungel i omgivningarna, så vackert allting! Personalen är outstanding (från städarna, servitörerna till receptionen) så trevliga och serviceminded - exempelvis Hue! Trevligt med fina selfiespots!:) Fin frukost med goda glutenfria pannkakor som kan ordnas! God mat i restaurangen och fin utsikt på kvällen med fin solnedgång! Fin strand! Vi kan definitivt tänka oss att komma tillbaka!

Le séjour a été incroyable.
La plage était propre, comparé aux autres plages de l'île d'ailleurs.
La villa en bord de mer sublime, très bruyant en fonction des voisins que vous avez. Il ne s'agit pas d'une villa individuelle mais une villa séparée en deux. Donc le mur qui sépare est en bois, vous entendez tout.
Le personnel est très gentil et très attentionné. Ils nous ont même préparé un petit déjeuner a emporter le jour du départ car nous partions tôt, sans rien demander.
Le resort est propre. Le restaurant est très bon. Oui il est plus cher que les restaurants autour, mais il n'est pas cher pour autant pour des européens.
Mon gros bémol sur un tel resort, la salle de sport. Elle est sale, petite et le matériel tres vieux. Si vous êtes muscu, il va falloir être motivé.

Nous avons passé de superbes vacances. Merci !

This was a family trip with my parents and my young daughter. There was a minor issue with the room we were initially assigned, but the hotel staff were very kind and responded quickly. After we were moved to a different room, we were able to rest comfortably.
Most of the hotel facilities were well maintained and properly managed. The breakfast was decent and satisfying overall. However, there is a designated smoking area inside one corner of the breakfast restaurant, and when someone was smoking, the smell traveled directly into the dining area, which was uncomfortable.
The gym was equipped with a basic set of dumbbells, but it was sufficient for a simple workout. The beach in front of the hotel remains relatively shallow—even after walking quite a distance, the water depth is around an adult male’s height—so it seems like a good place for children to play.
During my stay, it felt like about 80% of the guests were Russian.
Overall, I appreciate the friendly and attentive service throughout our stay, and I would be happy to stay here again on a future visit.

Man ist in der Natur und trotzdem sehr luxuriös untergebracht. Die Anlage ist direkt in einen Tropenwald. Wer Insekten nicht mag sollte dies berücksichtigen bei der Wahl des Hotels. Die Bäder sind offen und in die Natur integriert. Ich fand es toll. Zimmer sind etwas durch Witterung gezeichnet aber alles gut. Moskitonetz und Klimaanlage waren sehr hilfreich. Sehr gepflegt und für Alleinreisende geeignet. Auf mich wurde besonders geachtet. Frühstück vielseitig und die Anlage zum Relaxen toll. Außserhalb gibt es gute Restaurants aber auch das Restaurant im Resort ist sehr gut. Wellness, Romantik ist alles drin wenn man möchte. Transfer vom/ zum Airport gut organisiert. Das Peraonal sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt in meiner Auszeit von 3 Nächten nach einem Business Trip.

前回ホテルの口コミを記載させていただきましたので、今回はホテル内のスパ（バンブースパ）に関して口コミさせていただきます。
ホテルは良かったのですが、残念ながらスパに関しては街中のスパの方が良かった感じです。
60分のオイルマッサージを頼みましたが、マッサージスタッフの方が終わった瞬間にフィニッシュといい、そのまま退室されました。
私は体中オイル塗れでタオルも渡されませんでした。街中のスパも試しましたが最後は暖かいタオルで拭き取ってくれましたが、バンブースパではありませんでした。
金額もそれなりにするのでその辺りは改善して欲しいと思いました。

Localización muy tranquila a 15-20 mins en coche del núcleo de Phu Quoc y quizá un poco más alejado de las atracciones tanto al norte como al sur. Playa preciosa y piscina agradable.

朝食ビュッフェも美味しく海も近くとても良かったです。

残念な点として、トイレとお風呂は外にあるので虫は覚悟しないといけません。
また、隣室や上階、下階の音がかなり聞こえます！普通の会話レベルが筒抜けです。
寝るのに耳栓は必須です。そういったことを気にする方にはオススメ出来ませんが、それ以外に関しては非常に満足度の高いホテルでした。

Fantastisk opplevelse

Veldig fint hotell! vi hadde en veldig god opplevelse ved å bo her. Rommet var ryddig, personalet var hyggelig og hjelpsomme. Vi fikk hjelp til transport fra rommet til resepsjonen og omvendt når vi hadde behov. Ved innsjekk og utsjekk hjalp personalet også med å bære bagasjen. Utsjekk gikk veldig ryddig og raskt. Hotellet hadde også gratis shuttlebuss til flyplassen.

Bassengområdet, stranden og restauranten var strålende. Vi koste oss veldig med å bo her og vil med glede anbefale dette stedet til venner og familie!
