Everything was perfect. The breakfast was varied, fresh and plentiful. The pool was immaculately clean. The beach was also lovely and clean (which is rarely the case in Vietnam) we ate at thé hôtel restaurant in the evenings and there is a good choice of food. Thé staff are brilliant always helpful and very friendly. Thé hôtel is perfectly situated in beautiful gardens. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This property is lovely: quiet with lush greenery and gardens, a beautiful little pool, and a nice beach with plenty of lounge chairs. Staff were the best, they are very friendly and supportive. Breakfast buffet was quite extensive and very fresh. The remainder of the food & drinks for later meals was so-so, but that is typical for a small resort. It is about US$4-7 to get a cab to go 12min drive to the main town for restaurants and the night market.
Our room was a Triple, with a semi-outdoor shower room with a garden right in it! Rooms were clean and nice.
If you like a green, peaceful natural setting, this is the place.

Amazing beach, great hotel, we loved our stay would highly recommend! But … we got charged for a cracked plastic soap bottle that was cracked as we arrived by housekeeping, while they also managed to miss the previous tenants underwear in the laundry basket. Just make sure you report everything up front.

Leaves a bad last impression of an incredible place for something as silly as a plastic bottle.

I’d still highly recommend despite this!

We absolutely loved our stay at the hotel. The grounds and the private beach are beautiful, with the most gorgeous sunsets. The staff was lovely, our room was clean, spacious and comfortable room, and the breakfast had a large variety, with both Asian and Western options. We would gladly stay here again anytime.

We loved the oeace and tranquillity of this place. We stayed in a bungalow for 7 nights. Breakfast was very good. 10 minute walk to the village which had everything you need. We enjoyed the food at Tree Top Restaurant and ate there 3 times. The resort is not suitable for those with mobility issues

Cannot recommend this hotel enough! We had the most magical 4 days here. The bungalows are spacious and clean, the beach is pristine, and the staff were so lovely, remembering little things that made service feel so personal. We were here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect romantic paradise.

A very relaxing stay in a great location with friendly staff. Will recommend Ancardine to others. A note about the restaurant. They made the world's best passion fruit smoothies and the breakfast food is fine and so cheerfully served.
Otherwise, we found the menu dull and the food we had there on our first night lacked flavour. We ate elsewhere for the rest of our stay at some great restaurants in the village.

Wow, where do I start? First I researched extensively for the right place in phu quoc. I wanted a spot that was on a clean beach with direct access, swimmable, sandy beach to lay out on. This resort is located on arguably the BEST beach on the whole island. I went to bai sao and starfish beach, and while those are arguably the best mainstream beaches on the island, this resort’s beach was better.

It was also quiet. I was worried our beachfront bungalow might be too close to noise from people hanging out on the beach / pool, but there was no loud noise, it is well insulated room. The only small negative with the room was that the bathroom is outside (still private, but located on a covered patio on the back of your room), so while that was fun showering and crapping outside, it’s not fun when it’s super hot or getting bit by bugs at night while taking a poo. All good tho.

The service was great. All the staff were friendly and attentive. They let us hang out at the beach and use the spa showers as we had time to kill after check out before our flight a few hours later.

Also, the complimentary breakfast is incredible. Omelettes, bacon, fruits of all kinds, hot and cold Asian food dishes, pho, etc - the most impressive breakfast I’ve had at a hotel.

For around $100 a night I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on this island. I’m so glad I booked here and not the other places that were much more expensive and I’d guarantee not as good. Can’t wait to come back, thanks Ancarine!

Great little hotel resort. Quiet and reasonably priced for beach front. Excellent breakfast, it was our best meals of the day. Love the beef and chicken pho the offered each morning. Friendly and helpful staff. Only thing we had a minor issue with is that the hotel only had warm water do to it’s solar heating of the hot water. They don’t have hot water but we were completely fine with that.

What an idyllic location! The beach here is lovely and clean. My beachside bungalow had a simple, rustic charm that really appealed to me. The village is a 15 minute walk away, and has mini-marts plus a good choice of restaurants serving cheap and tasty food.
I particularly appreciated that (unlike some other nearby resorts) the Ancarine doesn't have music blaring out at its bar area - so you can enjoy your evening cocktail here in peace! The staff are super friendly and the service is excellent. Highly recommended.

Beautiful setting , not at all crowded . Our beach bungalow was 40metres from the beach, pool and restaurant. Staff were delightful. . The resort had a relaxed rustic feel and is an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again

This is our second time here with our family of three. We’ve been expats for 13 years and is the only vacation stay we have repeated. We have plans to come back next year. It’s a place for anyone but perfect for families with kids being the restaurant, pool, beach, and rooms are all steps away. The staff is lovely too.

Staff are wonderful and very friendly. Is located out of main area, we hired motorbike for $9 aud per day which made sight seeing easy. Would definitely stay again

You have to stay here!

Amazing place to stay in Phu Quoc! The beach and the views are incredible, so quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is lovely, lots of choices and they alternate each day. Great options for lunch and dinner as well as drinks. Staff always go the extra mile to make sure you are 110% happy with your stay. I lost one of my AirPods without realising, they posted it to me in Hanoi with a few days, free of charge, absolutely amazing!

Quiet restful and relaxing in a beautiful location. Our ocean villa location was close to sunbeds and beach. Infinity pool was heaven, just the right size, well maintained and perfect temperature. Has a full body massage which was first class. All of the staff were helpful, friendly and couldn't do enough to please. Food in the restaurant was fantastic. Fresh local ingredients, well presented and good value. A special thank you to Hing for looking after us so well and making our last night so special. Thank you also to the Manager, Miss Ngan for arranging our room change and ensuring our comfort. Our expectations of Acarine Beach Resort were exceeded. Will definitely be returning.

Love this resort! I stayed six nights. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best I had in 5 weeks travelling. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the pool was sparkling. Had a massage which was also really good.

This hotel was a life-saver for our trip to Phu Quoc.

We moved from a "3-star resort" due to poor hygiene - and Ancarine Staff and Hotel saved the day. Staff showed us a room and hotel amenities before we booked and were overall incredibly helpful and friendly.

The resort itself is stunning and far better than their 2 star rating. The pool was cleaned daily and had a beautiful view of the beach. Beautiful landscaping and gardens which provided great shade and protection from the sun.

Our only issue was the room doors had a large gap underneath which allowed a few uninvited guests to visit (toads, geckos and a mouse), but staff were very helpful and came to help remove them during the night.

Be aware the resort is in a quiet and remote area. There are few local stores plus a very affordable restaurant only a 10-15 minute walk or bike ride away.

Overall, I loved this hotel and would stay here again!

We've just returned from 2 weeks at this property.
* It was absolutely perfect for r&r & get away & peace and quiet.
* The beach is stunning .. very little rubbish / very calm / very crystal clear & the hotel clean it daily. Loved swimming in the sea there which is rare for some parts of Asia! Had a few stormy days which brought up a little plastic, but nowhere near as much as I've seen in other areas.
* Their pool is stunning too - loved our regular dips in there daily!
* The room was perfect. Clean, quiet & the bed oh so comfy! Lovely view from balcony too.
* The cocktails / smoothies delicious!
* The breakfast was lovely - great omelettes & other choices.
* Ate a few times during the day at the restaurant, but we mostly borrowed the hotel bikes & rode a few mins to the near by restaurants
* The staff are simply amazing - they are always smiling & so friendly & helpful. Always!
* Their private shuttle service to the airport was fabulous too
* They offer their transport too if you wish to go & travel round the island. Very competitive & preferred to use them as felt safe in their hands & good transport.
* Love this place - would very happily return there in the future.

Tranquility other than the sound of waves.
Breakfast was not buffet style but you can have as much as you like from the menu, based on western or Chinese style cuisine.
After the terrible storm (it is a rainy season), the beach was damaged but the staffs were working very hard to clean up the beach. Actually, the private beach was much cleaner than neighbor hotels.
Walking distance to nearby local restaurants, mini markets, and ATMs.
I'd like to come back in dry seasons.

Spent 3 nights here in June. The staff was warm and welcoming. Helped us with our itinerary and motorcycle rental.

Breakfast was scrumptious and plentiful. Cafe was right on the beach. Every morning was a delight.

Ancarine was amazing!! The staff were so friendly, lovely rooms and a beautiful pool and beach. There were lots of sun beds available and I loved the laid back feeling of the place - after lots of travelling, we were able to properly relax. The food is ok but better next door at mango bay (though much more expensive). I’m so pleased we chose Ancarine over Mango bay though as it was a great place for a lot less money. Happy hour drinks and watching the beautiful sunset is a must - enjoy!!

Great stay. Would recommend to others for sure. We were there for four days. The Mango Bay resort is right next door and the bar/restaurant can be accessed via the beach (tho Ancarine has their own good restaurant with a good variety of food for adults and kids). The only feedback would be that the chairs, both on the suite balcony, as well as the beach chair cushions, were not very comfortable. It would be amazing if the chairs on deck of the rooms were more adirondak-style chairs that have more of a bucket seat to them.

A gorgeous private beach, the friendliest and most helpful staff, a beautiful room looking out at the ocean, and a glass of wine watching the sunset, our vacation could not have been better! A cute little beach town is also just a 10 minute walk away, for amazing grilled seafood at night, if you want a change. Will definitely be back!

We had 2 wonderful nights before moving to the Long Beach. Ancarine is perched by the sea, the resort has a good position embracing the shoreline. This is also true for its dining area and the pool, one can watch the sunset with a good gin and tonic , they make good ones! Food is ok, breakfast is great. The rooms are clean, and very satisfying with a good size verandah at which We enjoyed tea and coffee, compliments of Ancarine, reading a good book! The best thing though , is the smiles and readiness of the staff , with good English to assist us when needed. Having tried 2nights at Mai House in long beach, we definitely will return to Ancarine in the future.

Good low key, small resort right on the beach, great pool, great room, great staff, maybe a little isolated from the local village, about 1 kilometre walk, but we rented a scooter, easy to get a taxi and cheap.
Local village has great restaurants and a bar or two.
A little like how Phu Quoc once was. The Government is allowing rampant over development , so we liked it as it was quiet.
Great breakfast spread and the green lights from the squid boats at night are magical.

Gorgeous! Steps to beach! Delicious breakfast!

What a gorgeous place! Bungalow was amazing. Steps away from the beach who staff rake up the trash that flows in from overnight. No need to go anywhere else for snorkeling. Plenty of fish right here. Breakfast is amazing! Omelette, pho, sausages, beacon, fresh variations of fruits. Staff are professional and so very helpful. What an awesome place. Love it! Want to come back very soon.

We were quite disapointed with this hotel. On arrival we asked for an extra bed for our kid - they offered us a mattresa on the floor with a price of $50 / night. We said no thanks. Shortly after we locked ourselves to the balcony of our room - the lock was broken and it wasn’t possible to open the lock from the balcony! The staff was aware of this problem, but they didn’t change the lock before we asked for it. They also burned some trash on the hotel property behind our room, and the smell was terrible.
On the positive side, the beach and pool areas are nice, and the hotel is located next to Mango bay resort with great restaurants. Still, wouldn’t stay here again due to our negative experiences.

Tho photos don't do this place justice. It is on one of the most beautiful beaches on Phu Quoc by far (with wonderful snorkelling opportunities just a few feet deep) and the infinity pool over looking it is lovely. You get free reign of sun beds, kayaks, snorkles etc and can get food/drink/cocktails to your sun bed at any point.
Staff are lovely and rooms immaculate.

We are very into our food so weren't planning to eat at the hotel based on previous reviews. However it seems they must have taken the feedback on board and got a new chef- we tried it on our first day for convenience and were really pleasnatly suprised. All the Vietnamese food we had there was great (though couldn't comment on the western options...!).

Beautiful hillside setting leading directly on to a lovely sandy beach. Our room was clean, well laid out with good facilities, though the WiFi is a bit hit and miss.
The on site restaurant left a bit to be desired however, but the restaurant literally next door (the Mango Bay) cooked the best food we had in Vietnam bar none.

Great resort, clean comfortable rooms, nice quiet beach. You could borrow cycle (check the breaks!), kayak and snorkel set for free. Good breakfast. Ok dinner but you can just go next door (Mango Bay) for amazing but pricy dinners. WiFi in my room (D16) was so so and cell phone reception the same, but it’s good to go offline more too. ;)
Would most definitely stay here again! Had booked 4 nights but I added an extra 3 and could have stayed longer here. Just book it, you won’t regret it! :)

Very nice hotel close to the beach

This was our favourite hotel during a 3 week Vietnam holiday. The staff was very attentive and helpful and they all spoke very good English. The room was very spacious and comfortable (with a balcony) and the beach was sheer paradise. You can borrow kayaks and bikes for free (beware of the latter if you value your safety though - most of them don't have working brakes) It is a really quiet location, but there are still enough places to eat, drink and shop nearby. We found Ong Lang much more relaxing than Duong Dong which felt very touristy (but can be reached by taxi for 140.000 Dong if desired).

The resort is situated right on the beach. The sea is beautiful with no specifically designated or restricted area for swimming (unlike the Long Beach). The staff is attending. There is a nice pool and plenty of beds for sunbathing, so everyone can find their space. The bar serves a variety of food and nice cocktails. The food is fresh although less sophisticated than the one served at the nextdoor restaurant of the Mango Bay Resoer. It's a beautiful place for observing sunsets. We really enjoyed our stay at this resort!

A wonderful weekend away

This was a great place for our family of 4. We stayed in a beach bungalow (G03) that was steps from the beach and had a King sized mattress and the resort added a single mattress for us as well. We enjoyed the close proximity to the clean beach, the warm water was great for swimming and clear enough to snorkel. There were beach toys for the kids to use, as well as a couple of kayaks and some snorkel gear. The infinity pool overlooking the beach was great and even had pool toys for the kids to play with. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Quiet and peaceful resort in Phu Quoc

Very nice staff, comfortable villa, good breakfast buffet. Quiet and nice place to stay in phu quoc with nice swimming pool and beach. Little bit far from downtown but you can rent scooter directly at the hotel. They also offered us free pick up service from and to airport.
Overall very good experience in this hotel.

Beautiful and peaceful

Located remotely and quietly in a lovely environment, with two other resorts a few steps away on each side of the beach and a village within 10-15 minutes walking distance. We stayed in a deluxe room, which was spacious and clean and located up the hill with a lovely view of the tree tops and ocean from the balcony. It was wonderful sitting on the balcony at night listening to all the sounds from the surrounding nature! The bed was however a bit too hard and there was never any hot water during our stay. The beach is beautiful with nice palm trees, clear waters and enough rocks to do some snorkeling and laying there was so peaceful. There was never any problem getting sunbeds even if we had to lay by the pool for an hour or two a couple of times. Restaurant was not too exciting, neither for breakfast nor dinner but the other two resorts were great options. Service was great, but prepare for a very limited understanding of English. Wi-Fi was not impressing but I guess that goes for most places on the island. I would highly recommend a stay here, three days were perfect for us before heading to a more lively environment closer to Duong Dong.

The resort is lovely.the gardens and beach immaculate. The beachside room very spacious but it could do with a bit of colour in the decor and a reading light by the bed. The restaurant was fine but some nightly specials would be good. The area is peaceful but you can walk to local restaurants or the neighbouring resorts. Motorbike hire and boat trips can be arranged by the hotel.

Very overpriced. our beachside bungalow was clean but basically furnished. Lots of steps in the resort so not very user friendly. The reception looks half finished - not a good first impression at all. The staff are barely trained and the food is awful. Had to walk into the village (Family Inn recomended) for dinner or go next door to Mango Bay beach bar. Not happy at all with this very third rate establishment but we paid up front on a non-refundable basis. Won´t do that again. Best avoided. Look further up the road at Eco Beach Resort or better still avoid Phu Quoc !

Great resort-a small piece of paradise

Stay on a beautiful beach in a friendly hotel. I highly recommend staying here and we plan to return. The food is good.

The beach only has 3 other hotels on it and all are fairly low density so the beach or facilities never felt crowded or dirty.

Mango Bay vs. AnCarine

Stayed hear after I stayed at Mango Bay. No comparison. Food here was average at best. Breakfast meager (buffet with limited options). Beach was nice, but rocks in front. Wallked next door to Mango to use their beach. Room was fine, but average. Towels and sheets were low quality. Wifi was very spotty and slow whereas at Mango it was seemless. If given a choice, choose Mango over AnCarine.

Great new resort

Lovely super new refurbished resort. Great team of staff who work very hard to do what hey can to make your stay comfortable. Dining area lacked a bit of relaxed ambience - but hotel is new. Maybe add some sofa / outdoor lounge type seating, some plants and low lighting and some music? Good for families - the pool is great and you're on the ocean too. You can also dine at Mango Bay and Sea Sense on either side of Ancarine but location is limited in that you can't walk to any other restaurants in "town".

Sehr schönes Resort, etwas abseits gelegen, aber direkt am Strand.
Frühstück war sehr gut und umfangreich.
Den Pool haben wir nicht genutzt da ja das Meer direkt vor der Tür war, aber er sah gut aus.
Der Strand ist schön, ein paar kleine Felsen im Wasser die man aber gut umgehen kann.
Und es waren genug Liegen am Strand, deshalb für uns nicht nachvollziehbar weshalb es immer noch Menschen gibt die als aller erstes am Tag ihre Handtücher auf den Liegen plazieren:-(
Die Zimmer/Bungalows liegen am Hang, man sollte schon gut zu Fuß sein, viele Treppen oder unebene Wege.
Aber ein wunderschön angelegter Garten mit viel riesigem Grün, vielen Zikaden die z.T. einen heiden Lärm machen uns aber ganz besonders fasziniert haben.
Der Weg in den kleinen Ort ist gut machbar, es sind allerdings 10-15 Minuten zu laufen. Bei den Temperaturen war das tagsüber schon eine Herausforderung.
Im Ort gibt es Shops, Supermarkt und Restaurants genug.
Das Essen im Hotel-Restaurant war ein wenig teurer als im Ort aber auch sehr lecker und gut.
Alles in allem ein sehr schöner, entspannter Aufenthalt.

Havde en beach villa og var meget tilfreds, Dejlig strand med strandsenge , lige uden for huset. Lækker strand med sandbund.
Specielt personalet i på hotellet gør en forskel, her er høj service krydret med en smil og en sød kommentar. Træningsområdet trænger til en opgradering, men pool og cyklingudlåning er rigtig fint. Vi klart vælge stedet igen.

Unser Familienzimmer war riesig, mit zwei Badezimmern und Blick auf Pool und Meer. Das Frühstück war toll und sehr lecker. Die Lage direkt am Strand atemberaubend, alles so friedlich und in üppiger Natur. Das Personal überaus freundlich und das Essen im Restaurant lecker. Der Rollerverleih unproblematisch und eigentlich ein Muss auf Phu Quoc, da das fahren wirklich entsprechend ist, außer vielleicht in Duong Dong. Fahrräder können kostenlos ausgeliehen werden um schneller in das doch etwas weiter entfernte Dorf zum z.B. Abendessen zu kommen, oder Loundry, Massage usw. Wir können dieses tolle Resort, gerade weil es klein ist vollumfänglich empfehlen!

Das Ancarine Beach Resort ist ein in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel mit einem Haupthaus und schön gelegenen Bungalows. Die Anlage ist sauber und die Bungalows sind idyllisch von Sträuchern und Bäumen umgeben. Teilweise nagt der Zahn der Zeit gut sichtbar an den Gebäuden und Einrichtungen. Superbe hôtel idéalement situé en bord de plage, avec une très belle piscine qui permet d’alterner entre mer et détente en toute tranquillité.

Les chambres sont très grandes, propres et de belle qualité, offrant un vrai confort pour profiter pleinement du séjour.

L’établissement a su conserver une vraie authenticité et beaucoup de charme, ce qui rend l’expérience particulièrement agréable et dépaysante.

Les bungalows, situés en bord de plage, offrent une vue magnifique sur la mer. La nuit, on entend le chant des grenouilles (à prendre en compte si l’on a le sommeil très léger 😉) vélo gratuit et possibilité de louer un scooter

スタッフはみんな親切でした。
部屋は広くて、ベランダで濡れた物を乾かす家具もあって良かったです。
シャワーだけが少し問題あってお湯が出たり出なかったりしました。
ホテルで飼ってる猫や黒い犬が可愛くて、子どもが喜んでいました！黒い犬は賢く大人しく、滞在中よく会いました。とても癒されました。
