The staff were really nice but our room wasn’t cleaned and we didn’t get towels , the room had a smell to it but over all we didn’t stay there much.

I will never stay again. I paid $300 for a hotel that look like DO DROP IN $30 night hotel. Room was nasty, thr carpet was GROSS, my 12 yr old daughter was scared to go to the bathroom alone bc the ceiling coming down. We didn’t even use the shower it was disgusting. Hair all in the tub.

The staff was very perfessional and very nice and helpful! The room had a board off the wall and it was just laying in the closet. The kitchen closet when we opened it someone had just swept crumbs and trash in there and left it. One bedroom had a needle syringe cap in the closet. Gross. Outside when we were walking to the beach we seen a needle on the ground. Very nasty and sick when u have kids. The pool was nice and the staff was awesome but the room was not the cleanest. Maids need to clean up alittle better in my opinion and make sure theyre is nothing that kids shouldnt see in the rooms or property. The office area looked really clean. Our room had NO bugs. Air conditioning worked very well and was only a couple min walk to the beach and the gas station. I enjoyed it for the most part.

Roach Motel

It was a non smoking room that smelled like an ash tray. I complained to front desk. My daughter is asthmatic and she couldn't breath in the room. There were people drinking and playing loud music in the parking lot. We ssked for a different room but were told there were none. So they offered to reimburse us but never got my money back.

It was a good location not on the board walk but all you have to do is walk across the street and you’re there don’t have to drive or find parking because you’re basically on the strip the on the other hand the stairwells smelled of pee and where dirty seen a couple of roaches the first night but nothing else afterwards have a small kitchenette just a stovetop and you have to bring your own cooking ware and have a mini fridge so you can’t store much in there overall it wasn’t all that bad except there’s no WiFi so if you need it you won’t get it there the manager was nice and accommodated and made arrangements for me to make me feel better they do have good service and the room service guy was nice I knew what time to expect him every morning asking if I needed anything

Drug Dealing Capital of the City

Stairs real of urine. Parking lot might as well have a sign advertising it is the drug capital of the city. Cops were called to the parking lot during our stay from excessive screaming I assume. Hair on bed upon arrival. Paid extra for a non smoking room, we all head head aches the first night because it was clearly a smoking room (with ash tray). Bed was hard, pillows hurt, foods looked like they had multiple break in attempts. One positive: All staff were incredibly friendly. I wish I was able to get a refund. It was expensive for the quality of the room and location.

I was extremely happy with the 2 nights I stayed here. It is a little out of date, but for the price, friendliness & helpfulness of the staff, and the fact that it is literally 2 blocks to the boardwalk & beach, you just can't beat it. If I ever go again, I won't even look at any other motels because I was perfectly happy with this one!

This Inn is greatly priced compared to others in the area. Only had one issue, which was taken care of immediately. Have stayed here multiple times now. Will be back again as well. Only suggestion would be better mattresses. All the staff is wonderful (the owner, the maintenance man, cleaning staff and office staff)! Staff even gives great recommendations.

There were many strange people in the hallways and on the stairs, lying on the floor and the stairs had urine. They did not have wifi, as specified in the services it offers. It has an excellent location, close to everything.

Could use some work

It was a perfect location for our 2 day vacation. Couldn't beat the price! Condition of the room weren't too good. Definitely needs some renovation. I was a little disappointed for not having a flat screen TV in my room. The other rooms I saw when I was walking by had one. Location is good though! About 2-3 mins walk from boardwalk!

The location to beach, affordability, nice pool, and friendly staff were the positives. Very outdated rooms with \"old\" smell inside and urine smell on stairwell. No bugs. Mom was disappointed; 20-something kids thought rooms were good enough.

Not the best, but close to beach + staff were nice

Staff were very nice and its close to the beach. you get what you pay for, kinda. No smoking room reeks of smoke, toilet wasn't attached to ground, and leaking from the bottom, everything was old, the TV / cable didn't work.

The location was great. The customer service was great. However, the hotel could use a major renovation. The room smelled like smoke. There were holes in the walls. Outlets would not hold my plug. Considering what we paid we thought that the quality was poor.

Russian roulette of getting a good room, lucky??

Outdated room, terrible beds, smelly stairwells, faucets in the bathroom were broken(i had to fix the bathtub to make it shut off). Few outlets, there was a door to the adjourning room that was unlocked on my side, they put a chair in front of it. The lock didn't work on the outside door. Light switch by the door did nothing. Sketchy persons everywhere on the property, smoking and being loud. I would never stay here again. They need to spend some money and fix it up, maybe that would get rid of some of the trashy people. The front desk people were very nice. Cleaning people were rude, i said hello to be nice and they ignored me. NO WIFI!!

Great location. Friendly staff that went out of their way to accommodate me. The room was dated, but very very clean. Great water pressure. Location location location. 2 blocks back from the beach. Very central location. Will definitely stay here again.

There were no electricity

There were no electric power at the hotel after midnight. It means: no auto conditioning, no light, no working computers, cannot charge my phone, cannot take a shower, cannot have breakfast.
I requested refund for second night and still waiting on status. I also called Travelocity agent and sent email. The agent asked a front desk person name which I forwarded to Travelocity and still waiting for my second night refund. I want to know status.

Location is the only plus

The location was the only good thing about this hotel. Were it not situated one block from the beach I would have given it one star. The a/c was loud and the room door appeared to have been recently kicked in and poorly repaired. The bed was very hard and the room looked old and dingy. Even with the great location I won't be coming back.

The property was dirty. There was vomit on the floor of the stairwel, the privacy curtain didn close all the way, the room was buggy (I killed a bug walking in my room wall) and uncomfortable for rest due to the insecurity of getting bed bugs and the sound of the air conditioner and the dripping of the faucet.Unfortunately, I stayed the night because it was the only place in the area that was under the max. rate I'd pay for a hotel room for the night, it was late in the day and it wasn't far from the beach and close to the main shopping street.

NIGHTMARE AT MACTHRIFT

This place was HORRIBLE!! We found old food in the corners by the bed, towel bar falling off wall, cobwebs, NASTY carpet with cigarette burns, cigarette burns on the bedding, bedding was stained & discolored, the room smelled horrible, very poor lighting in the room, the bathroom ceiling looked like it was rusted around the tiles, bathroom cabinet was falling apart, tiles coming up in kitchenette, kitchenette was just gross, and this was even after we switched rooms. The first room also had hair in the beds that were supposed to be clean. This place is a total nightmare!!

The hotel room was trashed, roof in bathroom was about to collapse very rusty bars coming down from ceiling it was just the worst definitely not worth $200 dollars a night luckily it was college beach weekend so I didn't really spend much time in the room just got it as a safe spot to chill at before and after functions

Affordable and Friendly!

Hotel was great for the price. Staff was super friendly. You just don't get the same hospitality in California. Room was huge for one person, so that's a plus. Bare essentials in this hotel. It's literally just a clean bed, clean bathroom, but had a microwave and a mini-fridge in the big closet which was nice. My only complaint was there was no blow-dryer in the bathroom, but the front desk quickly resolved that issue and let me borrow one they had up front.

Check in was flawless but once we entered the room it all went down hill. Towels were paper thin and scarce. The shower dripped all day/night. The carpet was dirty. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The room was quiet as well as our neighbors.

Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Not fancy but clean and close to stores and restaurants. Looked at two bedroom units for family trip next summer. Only place I have seen that large -- sleeps nine short two blocks to the beach. No wifi which is a disappointment. Hope they decide to install it soon. Will likely come back

the staff was very friendly and helpful the rooms were a nice size with refrigerators and stoves and microwaves the beds are comfortable I like that it had the cover to cover the mattress and the box spring to prevent bed bugs. the decor in the room needs to be updated but the room was very clean the location was great it was a block away from the beach and I would stay their again

Bad hotel.

Front desk cleark is not in the best of health. The stairway is reeking of urine. Would not recommend it to my worst enemy. Hotels.Com shouldn't have this on their list of a place to stay. I don't usually write a review, but i had to. This place is horrible.
