We were passing through the area and the weather was 40 degrees with the wind chill. Our stay was fine for only 1 night. The rooms are clean, but they could use some updates. Breakfast was good also. The bed was very comfortable and a good night’s sleep was the goal.

Love having the bedroom separate from the living room/ coffee bar area. The balcony looking over the broadwalk and ocean was perfect. Very comfortable and breakfast was good as we looked out at the ocean and relaxed.

Nice suite on second floor overlooking the beach. (Needs a good vacuuming behind the door.) Plenty of outside noise, but it settled down by 10pm. The staff was welcoming and helpful, but it took two hours and an extra phone call to get bath towels (only one hand towel was provided). They provided a typical free breakfast, but at least it was hot and opened early, so we were able to head out on time.

This hotel looks a little “rough around the edges,” but it worked for a one-night stay. (Location is its best asset.)

Really nice oceanfront hotel to catch a beautiful sunrise, occasional dolphin sighting, or just a peaceful moment to yourself. The hotel room was clean, comfortable bed, great shower and again a beautiful view. The staff was great. A decent breakfast and the dining area also has great views of the beach.

The room was fairly clean - Some dirty things here and there. The outlets in our room did not work and lights kept flickering on and off. Definitely wouldn’t stay here longer than 1 night like i did. This hotel has went very downhill and needs renovations.

Awesome stay! Great room and view. Breakfast was next level, not just from the delicious spread, but the gentleman and his daughter made my whole day. Pretty dated and rundown hotel. The continental breakfast was a disaster. Everything at breakfast was empty so didn’t even get to eat. Breakfast guy kept saying new food would be coming out and he had music blaring through a karaoke machine and who the heck wants to listen to that first thing in the morning. Bad experience here.

The breakfast fast was great. My husband and bf love that John made grits for them. The staff from the front fesk was also so helpful and friendly. The outside of the property was pretty dirty. The balcony, chairs, door, and window to the balcony were filthy. Room was clean aside from the flying huge roach in the room. There was a concert all day Saturday and Saturday night until 11:00 pm in the area right next to the hotel which was extremely loud and annoying. The breakfast was good. Great variety of foods to choose from! The breakfast attendant and the parking attendant were awesome.

Fantastic view however the facility needs attention. Only 1 of 2 elevators worked. Waited 20 minutes for an elevator when it was time to checkout. Staff not the friendliest…1st evening there, returned from dinner to find another guest holding our door wide open. Office assigned the couple our room. No apology given to me when I went to the office. I was told the staff member didn’t complete our check-in process. After that experience decided we won’t stay here again.

In the past my husband and I have stayed at this location quite a few times. It had been about a year ago prior to this recent visit from Sept 15-17, 2025. The weather was not good with flooding in Virginia Beach of over 7 inches of rain and wind gust around 50 mph over those 3 days. But we will NEVER stay at this specific hotel again. We were assigned to room 310 on the 3rd floor due to the high winds. Usually we stay higher up. The conditions on the 3rd floor were horrible. The heavy rain was flooding the hallway and eventually the rain started leaking in our bedroom. I called to the front desk at the gentleman that was on duty eventually came up and brought a trash can to catch the water and was not apologetic of our inconvenience at all. I spoke the manager upon checkout to ask for some type of reimbursement towards our stay and she credited half of a night stay of $78 but I feel the company should reimburse our entire stay because there is mold on the 3rd floor where the rain was leaking through the hallway. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel is extremely old and in need of much repair but it appears that as long as Comfort Suites can continue to book rooms without investing money in renovations to the building, it will remain in this horrible condition.

Not that great. Bathroom shower had black hairs all over the walls in shower. Shower door leaked soaking the bathroom floor. Ask housekeeping if I could have extra towel and wash clothe, told me no she was only doing checkouts. Lock to balcony was broke. Door was too heavy to open and close. Husband had to do this for me. DO NOT PLAN ON USING THIS HOTEL AGAIN. One positive was the breakfast and the Man helping out. Very friendly. Nice singing voice!

Loved the location and the staff was helpful. However, the condition of the property and especially the room left much to be desired. Black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Grim in the bathroom. Though you can control the temperature for periods at a time it automatically cuts off after two hours and your room warms up again. Again, location and staff are great. Oh, the breakers good as well.

Disappointing stay. Comfortable bed and nice ocean views, but the shower leaked all over the floor (not sealed correctly) and we had to use all of the towels to soak the water up. Reported the problem and tried to get more towels, but it wasn’t until the 3rd time that we finally got some towels.

Rougher area of town, bands playing loud music into the night . . . Not a place we will stay again.

The view was amazing, but the hotel room was dated. The paint was peeling off the walls, windows were dirty, someone smoked in the room, there were burn holes in the furniture and stains from cigarettes on the counter. There was something stuck on the bedding and no staff to change it. The floor had gum stuck in the carpet and stains that let me know they never cleaned it.

Room was fine. Clean, spacious with a great ocean view. Shower door leaks. Common areas are a bit run down. Could use some upkeep. One of two elevators not working and it's been that way for a bit. Pool access limited to two ladders for entry, exit. Not convenient for many.
Breakfast offerings are wonderful, however due to limited kitchen capacity, not all items are available at the same time, plenty of eggs though.
All in all, hotel is OK but needs improvements to qualify as a \"hidden gem\".

Free-breakfast was the best incentive during my stay. Check-in staff were unfriendly and my room was not ready upon check-in at 4pm. Hotel was down an elevator for the duration of the entire stay, made lengthily wait-times for the elevator. VERY noisy, do not stay here if you’re expecting a peaceful quiet stay. We had a 1 year old in the room and between the nearby air force training facility and the concerts being played everyday all day it was unbearably loud. The entire hotel could use some TLC and repairs as it was run down. The parking garage was a tight nightmare. Would not stay here again.

This facility NEEDS a complete makeover!!! Paint chipping, mold, and rust noted in outer hallways. North stairway filthy and moldy smelling just like a dungeon. We did not have any hot water in the shower for 3 out of our 4 days.
Staff were courteous, however we never received towels that were requested until the next day when we asked for them again.
Facility did not meet or even reach our expectations!
Expedia you must update your app, so other people are not as disappointed as we were!
Overall we love Virginia Beach! We have vacationed there for more than 15 years!!!

Nice place for a short visit, extended weekend.

The room was a bit small but comfortable and clean. The view of the beach was incredible. The full breakfast had amazing selections and the staff was incredible, especially Chris!! The only down side was the hotel only had one working elevator for guests and the stairwell lighting was dim.

12 floors and ice machines only on two floors. Two elevators, one broken. Coffee machine in lobby broken. Breakfast available until 10 am. Monday breakfast was totally stocked at 9:45 with a very friendly waitstaff in uniform. Tuesday at 9:45 no bagels, no muffins, no pastry, no fruit, no yogurt, waitstaff looked like a young guest, and just replied “all out”. No rest rooms available other than your room. Water flow from outdoor shower has no pressure, only drips out. Interior hallways and stairs need cleaning and painting. Would not recommend.

Staff was amazing. Room was very clean but as a whole the property was a little dated. Only complaint was that there were only 2 elevators and only one worked which as we all know things happen and it was out of staffs control and you just deal with. Took significant time getting from floor to floor during prime times but because staff was amazing it was worth the wait. Breakfast was good and staff there also was amazing! Definitely would recommend for the $. Location as well was great and convenient to local shops and eateries.

The room is very spacious and we really like that however I spent four nights and never got room service, not event when we ask for it. It was very uncomfortable to go to the from desk to ask for toilet paper or towels every single time we run out of them. I understand housekeeping service is as requested however they should provide basic things like toilet paper and tissues at least. I am giving four stars for staff and service only because of the breakfast staff. There was a guy and other young girls that were super nice.

Will definitely return! Amazing balcony view, clean comfortable room. ALL staff was so friendly, made you feel at home. The free breakfast buffet was top quality as well as entertaining! The place was not fancy, it had some peeling paint and some chipped tiles, but it was clean and not overpriced. Nice pool. Close to everything. It was the perfect vacation, cant wait to book again!

The building in general was old. There were only 2 elevators for the whole building. At one point one elevator was broken. Wait time for the elevator was very very long. Multiple ice machines and other items were broken through out the building.

The room itself was nice clean and comfortable. The biggest issue is our balcony door wouldn’t close. We called maintenance. They came and slammed it shut but then even my husband couldn’t open it. They changed the knob and it kind of worked but multiple times it got stuck open or it was shut and I got stuck on the balcony.

The breakfast crew was very nice and friendly but They couldn’t keep up with the food demand and multiple times they were out of multiple items ( bacon sausage biscuits pancakes). So we had to wait but when food was refilled the lines were LONG. The variation of meals every day wasnt great and I ended up eating the same thing almost every day. The food itself was okay.

The pool was in good shape and clean. Parking was easy and accessible. Location was great.
