The phone in our room did not work; the balcony furniture was dirty; the bathroom door did not close; the mattress on the king bed was terrible and the bed squeaked/creaked every time we moved around on it; there was trash under he bed; and the door from the parking deck to the elevator on the 3rd floor is broken, so we could not get in the door and had to walk down the parking deck (this was not safe) to the 2nd floor to get into the elevator. We stayed at this property because it was less expensive than other properties - now we know why. I did not report any of this to the staff because they were not very helpful. My sister also had a room at this hotel. She had a bottle break in her room and needed someone to clean it up. She could not call the desk because the phone did not work. When she went down, they handed her towels (after waiting 10 minutes from the desk staff to get back to teh desk) and said they had no one to clean it up, so they would have to clean it up themselves. Customer service - there was none. My son lives in VA Beach, so we stay there often. We will definitely be crossing this place off our list.

The kitchen hot plate wasn’t working, there was a leak under the bath vanity, there was a hole in the upholstered chair. They used a shop vac to vacuum the water under the vanity and it came right back. We reported it again and they never came back so we weren’t able to put anything under the vanity making it cramped in our room.

I have a six year old and four year old and they had a blast at the hotel. It was only my attention to detail that made the stay average. We stayed at the hotel for two nights and I’m not sure what the expectation is for room maintenance. I thought we would at least have fresh towels and our beds maid. All there were never any towels in the pool area.

I'd like to start by saying that Jonathan at the desk was 10/10! He was very personable and willing to give *quality* recommendations on things to do and places to eat while we were visiting for a conference. Definitely one of the best experiences I've ever had with staff!

We were a bit disappointed with the quality and cleanliness of the room. There were some \"landlord specials\" quick fixes to things and a tile not secured in the entryway which we tripped over numerous times. It was also frustrating to find out that our room had previously allowed for smoking as it was not disclosed prior to reservation and still held some of the smoke.

Staff was very friendly. When we checked in the AC unit was not in working condition. The plastic cover was off of it and laying on the floor. I reported the issue right away and was told they'd look into repairing it the next day. No one ever came to look at it. The TV didn't have a remote or buttons on the TV to work it. Not a big deal as we don't watch a lot of TV, but was annoying on top of the AC issue. We ended up leaving Sunday instead of staying another night bc I decided I'd rather drive 10 hours and get home late than sleep another night there.

Door to the balcony was broken - temperature was really cold and we had cold air blowing in all night - the heater was not working so needed to ask for a heating unit. We asked to change rooms but they had nothing available so had two nights in a super cold room.
The kicker is that we came down because my son was competing at a national tournament so his sleep was affected as well. On the last night they moved us to another room but didn’t make up for the first two. Not a great experience..

This hotel was completely unacceptable. We checked in and then left. Didn’t even care that the money was not refundable. The toilet and tub continually leaked. The toilet would even flush half the time. There were holes in the wall that hadn’t been painted. Outside the room completely smelled like pot.

The property is very much run down. The staff is great, but you'll find a lot of things are need repair, or just old. In our room, the light fixture in the bathroom and the door to the patio were both broken. It's reasonably clean but you'll still find dirt and grim in places. If you just need a place to sleep it's ok, but you won't want to spend much time in the hotel.

I wanted to share my wonderful experience at your hotel during my recent winter visit. The staff, from the front desk to the cleaning crew, were exceptional - friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring about the hotel's upkeep.

The hotel's cleanliness stood out, especially in the lobby where I spent a lot of time. I chuckled watching the same staff member meticulously clean the same spots multiple times . The pool was warm and inviting, a hit with the kids. Even the parking garage was spotless.

The room was a pleasant surprise, equipped with everything I needed: toiletries, dishes, detergent, iron, and more. The only drawback was the stove's limited heat, but I managed with the microwave.

Considering the building's age, the interior is a welcome surprise. Overall, I'm thrilled with my stay and look forward to returning. Thanks for a cozy winter escape

First off I requested on Tuesday when I booked the rooms that we have the same floor with the other room, I got to the hotel today and checked in and one room was on the 10th floor and the other was on the 5th floor and I had it in the notes for the same floor a few rooms down , then there were roaches crawling in the room and our things and we took it to the front desk and nothig was done about it. I am not happy and want something done about this.

My wife and I were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The staff was often unavailable when we needed assistance, which made it very difficult to resolve simple issues. The first room had no functioning air conditioning and damp carpets. The fridge was barely working. It was full of water at the bottom. They switched us to another room. The second room had no functioning TV. When we addressed this issue to the front desk, they stated that maintenance will be contacted. They never came. We asked them 3 times. These are basic amenities that are expected in a hotel. For the price we paid, this is highly unacceptable. The manager stated that we would receive a refund for one night for the inconvenience. It has been 3 weeks since our stay, and we still have not yet received our refund. Our overall experience was terrible, and we do not recommend others to book this hotel. We were better off sleeping on the beach than this hotel.

Immediately had to find a last minute hotel for two days to try and salvage what was left of my birthday trip. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed here for years and this was one of the worst sadly. The internet was down for 3 days. The pool heater wasn't working or on. The door to the boardwalk wasn't working several times. They tried to check us out early because of office miscommunication. Witnessed people checking into a room that was already occupied.
Plts, there was a whole party in the top of the Parking garage one night too with loud music and drinking. Other than those things, beds were comfy and the room was clean and the staff was very helpful!

You get what you pay for but the pictures were very deceptive. Bathroom floors look like they are never cleaned. Moldy smell in the room only goes away once you leave the balcony door open all day. Front desk staff was very nice and restocked the room with paper, towels and took out trash once we asked. GREAT spot and parking garage is great. It would’ve been tolerable if there was no mold smell, other than that it was ok.

I am currently trying to get a refund for 3 nights, if not all. There are so many things that occured. We had to move 3 times in 4 nights. The first room didnt need a room key to remained unlocked. It was broken and would not latch. In that room, my Nane who is 70 already unpacked while I returned the cart. She hung up a robe that means a lot to her. Its a sloan robe. She survived cancer. She left it behibd by mistake. We didnt notice until the next day when she went to take a shower. We went back to grab it. It was now missing. We asked the naid who cleaned the room. She said no robe. So now we are denying maid service because of either theft or throwing it away and not taking accountability. Then on the 3rd day, our sink filled up with septic water with the most foul smell. We had to move again. The staff running the front desk were great. They were very apologetic. We showed them nothing but kindness. But we were on vacation and we stayed here previously and had nothing but great things to say. However this time was frustrating and there is no communication. No working phone. No internet for 5 days. Hotels. Com is \"working\" on my request.. but nothing. I understand that remodeling is scheduled to happen in October but these confiding were inexcusable. I need the owner to answer his emails and do the right thing and comp this trip.

The only good things I have to say about this property is that it had Ocean Front rooms and we didn't see any bugs. Otherwise, there was no internet service. We were told they had a work order in, but it never worked. The phone in the room didn't work. We were told the phone cables were old. The rug was all chewed up and coming off the edges of our door and the sliding glass door. There were overflowing trash cans on every floor. The dumpsters located at the front of the hotel were overflowing with bags of garbage, even into the parking space next to it. The indoor pool was not heated and was colder than the ocean. They offered coffee and flavored water in the lobby, but they were out of cups. There was one elevator and we had to share it with the cleaning staff and their carts so it took forever. We came back to our room late one night and our key cards didn't work. A couple of times we went to the front desk and there was no one around working. The entire building was in disarray. Thumbs down.

This properties location is excellent, almost directly in the middle of the boardwalk. We had a few snags, coffee maker did not work, Refrigerator did not work and it took two days to finally get those replaced. But once Wesley at the front desk was on the scene he took care of everything immediately. Great customer service from Wesley!! Door to the balcony stuck somewhat, and the last morning we were there we could not even get it open, so that was a bummer but the room itself was clean and comfortable, and the location of the hotel is perfect.

The location was great but the air condition was leaking in the room and the carpet was soak and wet and apparently it has been that way for a long time because the room had a smell of mildew. One of the outlets was busted, the air conditioner dripped onto the carpet making it soaked, the door going outside did not have a handle, the bathroom door was peeling wood from where it had been painted. The freezer has ice built up going into the refrigerator. We were allowed a late check out but we should have been given a discount.

First of all it's a motel not a hotel. Hotels have a place for dining. No food offered onsite besides a popcorn maker that had the same popcorn all weekend. I asked for a handicap accessible room . They put me on the 10th floor, the shower head was broken and was improperly hung. The water pressure in a drinking fountain has more pressure. I couldn't get the shampoo out of my hair. Bedding had stains, the vents had a inch of dust. I would compare.this property to a Motel 6. No frills. OH and the pool is the size of a of a 2 car driveway. It was 3 feet deep. Pictures are deceiving .

During check-in, another guest and Our family waited over 15 minutes for someone to arrive at the front desk. We actually found the front desk attendant asleep in a neighboring office and wearing a heavy coat. When he tried to check them in, he could not figure out how to check them in. Another employee who was not working arrived at the front desk and helped immensely with our check-in.
Our room felt damp during the first two days of our stay. We also had difficulty finding a comfortable temperature setting for the a/c unit. The refrigerator in the room was damaged and the freezer section was encrusted in several inches of ice. We asked to have it replaced, but that did not happen. The tub drained very slowly and accumulated several inches of water when showering. The exhaust vent in the bathroom did not appear to be moving any moist or odorous air out of the bathroom. Tile on the bathroom floor was cracked and loose. At times, when the a/c unit was on, an odor of Marijuana filled the room.
The electrical switch next to the room's door was not working properly. It would not stay in the on position.
We were locked out of the hotel's front door on Saturday evening around 11 PM. We tried knocking on the door, but the front desk staff did not hear or see us. We had to walk into the parking garage to gain access to our room. Not sure why there was not a card reader at the front door.

Receptionist were not friendly, they are the first face of the hotel. Very disappointed. Rude guy 08/09/25, girl 08/11/25. Please have people that treat people with respect and willing to work.
